First, let me say - I didn’t set out to become a writer. I was too busy running — literally.

At fourteen, I was a competitive runner with my eyes on the finish line… until a friend (bless his clumsy soul) accidentally shattered my knee and my athletic dreams in one fell swoop. Overnight, I went from racing tracks to lying flat on my back, trapped beneath a fortress of blankets and a towering stack of Harlequin romances.

My dad took one look at those bodice-rippers scattered across my bed, said nothing, and disappeared — only to return moments later, drop a book onto my lap, and declare: “You need to broaden your reading horizons.” The book was Iceberg by Clive Cussler. And just like that, my fate was sealed. Dirk Pitt became my new hero. Adventure, mystery, danger — all danced off the page and straight into my imagination. While my knee healed, a new dream took shape: I wanted to whisk readers away on thrilling journeys of their own.

So here I am: a writer fueled by a twist of fate, a determined dad, and the legendary Clive Cussler. And while I may not be sprinting down tracks anymore, I’m still chasing stories — and loving every second of the race.

It means the world to have you here with me. May my stories spark your imagination as wildly as they've sparked mine.

This is a great book, designed to bring people closer together regardless of their different places of origin, language or skin color. It is well written and informative, taking the reader to every part of the world. The guide to each country is a young person who writes about themselves, their country and what it is known for. Really terrific idea.

Book 14 is another great trove of information in a wonderful series. This book gives information about young people in various places around the world. The essays are told in the first person and talk about life in their particular location. I enjoy the stories and descriptions, as do my middle and high school students.

Wow! This is not what I was expecting. I really enjoyed this book. The compilation of individuals from around the world, not only from the US, was wonderful. As I read, I truly felt gratitude for living in my country. The photos/pictures tied the bios in well. GREAT JOB!!

Book 14 in this series is another great educational and cultural experience. In addition to learning about the many countries on this great planet, their beauty and unique offerings, we are reminded of how much we hold in common as human beings regardless of race, age or any differences. A great read for the teens and adults.

    B. Woster provides another great collection of interesting and not always known countries. Even though I have read several of these, even as an adult, I learn something new each time. Who knew the origin of Levi’s jeans? Very great research to tie these tidbits of knowledge together so students can learn about places they may likely never visit. Recommend the series.
