Keely Stephens grew up reading her mom’s (not very spicy) Harlequin books on summer afternoons, at a time when she couldn’t imagine a happily ever after for a shy, nerdy introvert like her. Though it took Keely a while to find the courage (and time) to write her own happily-ever-after books (both spicy and not), she’s thrilled to have found how much she enjoys writing them. She hopes to always write strong, capable characters (of all sorts) that view sex (of all sorts) positively.     Give me a one-bed, fake-dating book and I am THERE, and this is so much more. Stephens's characters are sharp, smart, and multi-dimensional, and as they're working on a romance, they're also working on themselves. I can't wait for the third book in this series!

    Do you believe in fate? Jonathan ‘Byrd’ Forelle does. Josie Hampton does too. Doesn’t she? As a therapist, she really hasn’t made up her mind. Especially after her last ex, who may have done more damage than she thought. After briefly meeting a handsome courier at the hospital (and not being able to get him out of her mind), Josie’s life continues as normal. Until 6 months later when she sees him again. Not only do they work in the same building but they’re also neighbors! He also brings the best cookies to their meetings!

    The thing she doesn’t know? Byrd is tired of women wanting him only for his money (he’s a billionaire and he doesn’t just work near her, he owns the building she works in). The thing he doesn’t know? Honesty and communication are paramount to Josie after her ex’s lies.

    When some situations arise, they come to a mutual agreement. Fake dating. When they start to fall for each other, that’s when the real issues start. Will they secure the love they’ve been waiting for? Will Josie learn to let go of the past and forgive Byrd’s lie?

    This was such a sweet fake dating, billionaire romance! Josie has some past relationship trauma that’s been preventing her from putting herself out there to find the relationship she really wants… until she meets Byrd, a courier that works in her building and who has a knack for knocking down her carefully constructed walls. But what happens when it turns out that Byrd has done the exact thing that ruined her past relationships? Can they both get past the hurt to let their love flourish or have the lies doomed their relationship from the start? I loved getting Josie and Byrd’s story after meeting them in Breakfast with the Billionaire!!

    Josie and Byrd keep running into each other sometimes they both see, and sometimes only one or the other see. Josie sees Byrd in the building her office is in, and they start talking. They start to have conversation cookie breaks together, and exchange phone numbers. They are attracted to each other, but have both been burned. Can they get passes their issues and be together? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. I absolutely love Josie and Byrd Great supporting characters. This book has humor, angst, and the spice is good. Love this book and stand-alone series.

    This took my a long time to get into. I don’t normally read a book that’s in third person but I decided to try.

    Byrd is so sweet and Josie is always true to her self. It was a good read but I just can’t get past the 3rd person so not sure if I would continue the series. But that’s really a me issue since the story and plot was good.

    Im so happy we finally got Josie and Byrds story after meeting them in breakfast with the Billionaire.

    This book is so cute. Byrd is such a sweetheart. I couldn't get enough of him.
    Josie is a really strong character, and im so happy that she didn't back down and stood her ground when her a Byrd were doing their 'business' deal! She did annoy me sometimes, though, especially when she jumped to conclusions and didn't let Byrd explain himself.

    Thogether, they are the perfect couple, though, and I got all the feels reading this book.

    As with the other book in the series this is a slow burn romance but I think that really enhanced the story in this case because of the history Josie had I think if they had jumped into bed as soon as they met it would have made the story very unrealistic.

    Another fantastic addition to the series, and I can't wait for more.
