Charles Lemar Brown is a retired

high school science teacher, who

now spends much of his time

writing and traveling. He is also an

avid photographer whose photographs have been sold around the

world. He lives in rural Love

County, Oklahoma, where he enjoys

spending time with his seven children and nineteen

grandchildren. Left alone to long, he is likely to be found making

TikTok’s, working out in his home gym, or kicked back with his

cat, Tilee, watching whatever football game he can find on the

television. His favorite quote is—what doesn’t kill you makes

you stronger and I ain’t dead yet.

    This was an excellent read. The characters were very well developed, it was a pleasure getting to know Dub and Kat. It was easy to imagine exactly what the characters were seeing because the descriptions and the book were very clear. I was definitely living through the characters as I read. As far as the plot, this was more like a real life chain of events that sucks you in and gives you all the feels, well thought out and presented by the author. Although this is written in present day, the author doesn't excellent job explaining how the main character's personalities developed from the time they were young. There were no editing or proofreading issues that I noticed, which I appreciated. Can't wait to read more from this author.

    Oh my goodness!! I put this on my Kindle to read while my son was at a music therapy appointment, and I'm pretty sure everyone in the lobby thought I was crazy! I found myself chuckling out loud, then crying, and at one point, I gasped and startled the lady next to me. Great character development that had me totally invested, and there's so much more I want to say, but don't want to give any spoilers! Read the book...and maybe have a tissue handy.

    A wonderful love story with unexpected turns. You will grow to love Dub Taylor and Kat despite the initial bickering. I promise you’ll be unable to set The Seventh Date aside for long. I was struck by the twist and this story will have a forever home in my heart. A wonderful read.
