Impending Disaster by Colin Guest was a pleasant companion as I whiled away acouple hours on the beach. As expected, it's a short story that takes a readerright in and continues with non-stop action until the end. It's not always easyfor a writer to develop their characters when working within a smaller wordcount, but Guest does a great job of making them feel authentic. Brevity canalso cause problems when multiple subplots come into play, but on that frontGuest also had the skill to effectivelykeep pace and timing in line with his narrative. Whether you're spending anafternoon in an armchair or on a picnic blanket, this is a good piece of adventure fiction that is easyto recommend to readers who enjoy quick escapes into worthwhile stories.

I enjoyed writing Impending Disaster that my wife thinks is the best book I have yet written. It covers a situation that although fiction could well happen in real-life. However, given the seriousness of this scenario, I hope never happens. I have written books in both fiction and non-fiction. These include action/adventure, erotic romance, the memoir of my life as an expat for 19 years, and a story of my life here in Turkey where I have lived for over 25 years.

From living in Kemer, Antalya for over twenty years, Colin now lives in Istanbul with his wife and their cat Bella.

Un grupo de tres amigos ha sufrido un severo accidente de aviación que los deja heridos en plena montaña, pero pronto se darán cuenta de que ese desastre no es nada frente al que se avecina: se ha formado una laguna en lo alto de la montaña que está a punto de colapsar. Si no llegan a tiempo para avisar al pueblo asentado a las faldas, una enorme ola de agua, rocas y lodo se cobrará las vidas de todos en el lugar.
