A Young Man's Fancy Kindle Edition
Five Contemporary YA/NA stories about the lives and loves of incredible young men.
David – M. Tasia
Dumped and depressed, David flees town to work on remodeling a lake house for the summer without telling his best friend, Jacob. But best friends don’t leave each other hanging, and Jacob’s been missing David. Uninvited, but welcome at the lake house, Jacob engineers a hat-trick of surprises that just might change both their futures.
No Bunny Like You – Susan Mac Nicol
Colin’s neighbor is so freakin’ delicious, he positions himself on his balcony to get a glimpse of Dashiell dancing in his room, his sexy body twisting and turning to the music. Which would’ve made Dash saving Colin from nearly drowning in a bunny suit mortifying in the extreme, except Dash seems to have been spying on Colin as much as he’s been checking out Dash.
Homecoming – Emily Mims
The new guy in Clay’s acting class had way more going from him than swoony singing techniques. Justin clocked Clay the minute he walked into the practice room, and knew they were going to be more than friends. Complicated family dynamics almost scuttle their plans to go to Homecoming, but both guys man up and learn whose people will stand by them no matter what.
Hold The Line - Kitty Bardot
A big defensive lineman in a town where high school football is everything, Terry is harboring a secret that’d ostracize him even more than he already is. His best friend Chris is his saving grace in all the ways that matter, and in ways Terry can’t share with anyone. But when push comes to more than a shove, Chris gives Terry the greatest gift of all.
Shake Me Down – Elle Wright
Everett’s senior year in a new school yields more than he could’ve ever expected. The nerdy genius he’s been secretly crushing on asks him out and their chemistry is so combustible, they have to slow things down or they’ll never get to know each other. And Everett wants to know Zach, inside and out, like no one else ever will.

Whether you’re looking for a heart-pounding romantic suspense or a deeply emotional love story, Susan’s portfolio has something for everyone.
Screenplay Success and Hidden Talents
Susan doesn’t just stop at novels. She’s an award-winning screenplay writer, with several scripts based on her published works. Her screenplay ‘Sight Unseen’ has garnered no less than ten awards, and her TV pilot ‘Reel Life,’ based on her debut novel ‘Cassandra by Starlight,’ was a winner at the Oaxaca Film Fest. Talent and passion together have propelled her into the spotlight of multiple creative fields.
Personal Touch: Fun Facts About Susan
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Susan is a person of diverse interests and experiences. She loves attending live music concerts, especially if her man-crushes Adam Lambert or Sam Smith is performing. Her leisure activities include lazing with a good book, enjoying a fine gin and tonic, and watching reruns of ‘Silent Witness.’
Her colourful past includes being chased by a rhino in Kenya, mistaken for a prostitute in Johannesburg, and being kicked out of a youth club for encouraging free thinking. With such a vibrant background, it’s no wonder her stories are packed with excitement and life.

Author of over fifty romance novels, Emily Mims loves to write! A former teacher turned romance author wrote her first book on a dare. She loves to write about what she knows, whether it's the Hill Country of Texas (The Texas Hill Country series), old-timey bluegrass and Appalachian music (The Smoky Blue series), community theater (The Durango Street Theatre series), or the brave and daring soldiers of the United States Army (Bear's Brigade). The mother of two sons, she and her husband Charles live in Texas but travel frequently to visit family. For relaxation she plays the piano, organ, dulcimer, and ukulele. She says, "I love to write romances because I believe in them. Romance happened to me and it can happen to any woman-if she'll just let it."

M. Tasia is an author who lives in Ontario, Canada. Michelle is a dedicated people watcher, lover of romance novels, 80’s rock, and happily ever afters (once the MCs have been put through their paces of course), who grew up with a love of reading. Mother of three wonderful children, wife to one understanding husband, and servant to two spoiled furry children who don’t seem to realize, that they’re actually cats.
Michelle writes contemporary mm romance and believes love should be shared and celebrated. After all, you deserve to have romance, excitement, intrigue, and passion in your lives.

Elle Wright has been writing stories since she was a child, which led her to a career in journalism. She enjoys reporting life as much as making up a world she can control. She lives on the east coast of the United States where most of her large, noisy family resides. When she isn't in front of her computer, she loves to travel, garden, hang out with her dogs, and take in the brisk sea air that she's told is supposed to help calm her. She's been testing that theory for a while now.

Kitty Bardot juggles a life full of excitement and love. By day she's a chef of her own catering company, by night she puts 15 years of burlesque experience to use in various venues around the Quad Cities. She writes from her country home not far from the Mississippi River, enjoying every moment with her husband and three children.
Her Burlesque River Series is inspired by her life as a burlesque performer.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWhile I generally love my boy love with a little more heat, these stories of young males falling in love was sweet, tender, and endearing. Just the way young love should be. The final story by Elle Wright has a true HEA. The others are more of a HFN. Each story will touch you differently.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2021Format: KindleDavid – M. Tasia
A sweet short story about the summer before college. The main character, David, shows great personal growth and I was impressed by how beautifully written David is.
No Bunny Like You – Susan Mac Nicol
Susan Mac Nicol fans don't need me to tell you, they have a very dry sense of humor. And it's showcased in No Bunny Like You. Kinda silly, very sweet, and a fun premise for a story.
Homecoming – Emily Mims
I was blown away by how well Emily Mims tells this story. They cover quite a few important issues in a very short space, and it's a nice love story.
Hold The Line - Kitty Bardot
This was my favorite story in the anthology. Kitty Bardot truly captures the essence of these young men, especially Terry. This one's a bit of a heartbreaker, and I'd love to read more about Terry and Chris.
Shake Me Down – Elle Wright
A creative premise for a story, Elle Wright gives these two guys a very happy ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2021Format: KindlePerfect for summer reading. All of these are YA/NA short stories and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them.
David - M. Tasia 4.5 stars
When he's dumped on the last day of school, David's reaction is understandable. Working far enough from home he isn't subjected to well meaning platitudes and being the subject of gossip. Jacob is his best friend and once he shows up to work along with David things turn around. Jacob has been waiting for David to finally see what was in front of him all along.
No Bunny Like You - Susan Mac Nicol 4.5 stars
Colin is having a bad day. Volunteered by his mom to play the Easter Bunny, stuffed into a costume and needing a cigarette the poor guy just wants to go home. I loved his 'calisthenics' and his colorful attire while doing so just to catch a glimpse of Dash. Dash gives quite the performance himself with his dancing abilities. The descriptions were so well done I could see the two of them clearly.
Homecoming - Emily Mims 5 stars
Clay's move to live with his dad has him walking on eggs. I couldn't blame him for making assumptions. Having a dad who is a Colonel you would. Meeting Justin has him falling hard but all his anxiety has him hiding. Justin is just interested in Clay and being his authentic self. He hates the closet Clay has them hiding in. His parent's reaction to his desire to take Clay to homecoming came out of left field. Clay's dad earned a medal for being an amazing parent in my book.
Hold the Line - Kitty Bardot 5 stars
Terry is a gentle giant. Hiding who he is and yet never quite being what his dad wants, what his coach wants makes for a lonely life. His best friend Chis impressed me with his loyalty, his friendship, and how his stands up for Terry. I was even more impressed with the rest of the team as they made it clear that they accepted Terry just as he was. I was so glad to see him finally living his best life.
Shake Me down - Elle Wright 5 stars
Everett is tenacious after being bounced from one school to another. Zach's the uber brilliant guy. He's a bit shocked when his crush on Everett turns into something real. I liked that they both approached their relationship with maturity and forethought. Everett is determined that Zach is going to reach his potential and we watch them navigate a long-distance relationship and come out the other side as they begin their HEA.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2021Format: KindleI thought this was a neat anthology about young men who are trying to navigate their way to love and happily ever after while trying to be true to themselves. What a lovely affirmation of the fact that love is love that left me feeling warm and fuzzy and even more sure that everyone should have the space to experience all the feels.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2021Format: KindleI really enjoyed this set of 5 short stories of YA/NA MM love. The characters were all sweet and their emotions, actions, thoughts, and feelings felt genuine and realistic. It's not all smooth sailing, but these couples face the challenges with the courage and determination of youth. Ah, to be young and in love.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2021Format: KindleWhat a cute little anthology! A little short for me to review each story, but I will say even though they were all short each did feel like a full and complete short story, which is very difficult to do. Some of the stories weren’t exactly my cuppa, but that was all based on writing style not working with me, so it’s a me thing not the book thing. There were funny moments, tender moments, moments that made me angry, and moments that made me sad. It’s a small anthology that has it all in a bite sized package!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2021Format: KindleThis was a very good collection of stories. Each one was a solid 4 or 5 star read for me. The different authors wrote likable and believable main characters who were easy to care about. I loved the romances and the friendships brought to life. Some of the parents were wonderful, and some not so much, but the main characters were strong and stayed true to themselves. I recommend this anthology.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2021Format: KindleThis is a nice collection of YA/NA stories, each focused on a different romance. Tonally, they cover quite a range: some are sweeter, some more humorous, but they all focus on love, and life, in really interesting, moving ways. Well worth a read.
