    Naomi has been through a lot but is strong and determined to survive. She wants to finish school so she can help other women. This suspenseful read had me holding my breath through all the twists and turns the characters go through. Exquisite storyline with extraordinary characters. Chase and Naomi finally get their HEA ending and it's so well deserved.

    Naomi has been through some hard times and is determined get back on track herself. She was badly beaten several months ago and had to rely on help for survival. Now she is better, she is determined to make it on her own. She works full time, volunteers at an animal rescue training place and goes to college to become a therapist. She also has a crush on the man who runs the animal therapy dog training place. She is scared to make her move because she still feels unworthy of being with him but her new friend encourages her to make her move. It is good thing she does get close to Chance because evil is stalking her.

    Chance used to be in the military but when he was release he went into being a therapist. He and his sister has started a place that trains rescue dogs into becoming therapy dogs. Even though he helps a lot of people he still feels the need to help out more. He wants to start a Brotherhood Alliance of retired military men who would protect women and children who need them. He can tell that one of his new volunteers has been through a lot and he wants to do anything to help her but Naomi keeps running. He is willing to take his time though because she is just the warrior type woman he needs. What he doesn't

    I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

    This emotional story pulled me into drama that is called Naomi's life, this woman has endured so much pain and drama and is still a strong loving woman. Chase knows that Naomi is hiding something and will do whatever is possible to protect her from her past. Wonderful well-written story, great characters.
