    The third installment I. This beautifully epic romance. A romance filled with danger, loos and love. A romance that brought us Maddox Hines and his Harper. I can not tell you how this romance has affected me. I have recounted their tale to my friends over and over again begging them to read this beautiful story of a boy who suffered unimaginable things to come out into the light stringer not only for himself but for his family and his soul mate, Harper.
    The 3 books take you through some frightening events only to bring you the most amazing HEA imaginable. I whole heartedly recommend the story of not just Maddox Hines but if his father, Brody Hines. To get the full measure of this amazing romance and growth of a boy who was rescued at the age of 15, to the man he grew to be.

    This was a great conclusion to Maddox and Harper’s story. It also did an excellent job of setting up for future stories within this same world.

    Watching Maddox learn that he is not defined by his past and is worthy of being loved was beautiful! Adding in the push and pull of he and Harper’s relationship to create a painful but breathtakingly delightful storyline. Watching Harper find her strength in the face of so many different types of heartache/loss was also very inspirational!

    The only thing that I would have changed was the over abundance of repetitive internal monologues. It really slowed the pacing of the story in a negative way.

    I look forward to seeing what future journey these wonderful characters get to take!

    A Burning Souls trilogy follows Maddox Hines and Harper Abraham as their love grows, falls apart and strengthens through maelstroms of rifts and death alike.

    The conclusion of their journey has them realizing that they cannot change the past, but they can learn from it and look forward to a future filled with their dreams and love.

    While all three mention faith and God, their conclusion leans a bit more on it as Maddox starts understanding Harper's faith and begins to cherish it as well as the other half of each other's souls.

    Needless to say, I teared up quite a lot during his analogical moments of enlightenment he used when referring to their unborn son. Oh, and Collin's letters? 😭😭😭 Moving book from beginning to end.

    Next up? Plans for Kendall, Phoebe and Jade to each get their own standalone are mentioned, plus author played down some major hints for London's future and continued to tease with Ava's.

    As soon as i reached the end of Forged i started looking forward to more. I picked this installment up and got back into the Burning Souls world! I so enjoyed this third book!

    Maddox and Harper's journey continues! After the last installment, i wasn't sure what all was going to happen next with these two.

    Both Maddox and Harper have been through so much together. It hasn't been easy for these two. I wasn't sure what all was going to happen this time around. Throughout all three books, i've went through so many emotions with these two. I was glad to get more of their story.

    With Merged, Ms.Fields has created such a good continuation that had me feeling so much! I am so looking forward to reading what she comes up with next!

    Merge starts where Forged left off. The Abraham family have to find a new normal. A normal without Collin. There are sad parts to this story but also many happy parts. The Hines family decide to lay roots in Blue Valley. We see Maddox help Harper cope with the death of her father and their unborn baby. Collin still has letters that go to Tessa and to Harper. We see Harper and Maddox become one. They also have some exciting news to share. This is the perfect book to end the Burning Souls series.

    Maddox had decided he would quit his band, Burning Souls, and spend his time with Harper and maybe go to college. Harper encouraged him to continue to do a few shows with his band and had planned to go with him until a surprise visit happened from Colin’s father that no one knew existed and he was ill so Harper wanted to stay to spend time with him. A lot of the first few chapters were a recap thru Maddox’s thoughts which I didn’t see the point of since I just read 2 previous books so I skimmed through all of that. This book just wasn’t as good as the others. It was more mushy love nothing with much backbone to add to the story. The family stayed together most of the time, not much excitement happening, rather boring and it took me nearly 2 weeks to get through it because it just didn’t hold my attention.

    This final chapter of Maddox and Harper's story worth all the pains of the previous books. True love finally wins over life sufferings. I loved every single part of this book and enjoyed each interaction between the characters of this big, amazing fictional family. BTW real World would be a better place if there were more Ava and Jade, lot of laughs with them!

    The journey continues for Maddox Hines and Harper Abraham they both have faced so much loss but they continue to put one foot in front of the other and move forward to the future they deserve.

    It was great watching their families pop in and out through this book, and as usual mj has given us all the feels, at times you'll cry, laugh out loud and just smile at the emotions that are packed inside this last installment of Maddox and Harper but it won't be the last we here of them that's for sure.
