She is also a lyricist and vocalist, par entrepreneur in clothing designing. Art and nature melt her heart easily. Creating, any form of art, is her pastime.

Swit has always been a writer, jotting her heart's wishes onto paper, since a tender age, but all in the shadows of fear and trauma emanating from multiple abuses.

Until February 2020, when the emotions and wishes, bottled up over years, finally burst out and spilt into paper. Officially introducing Swit La Pound Author to the world.

    This is my first time reading this type of book. I usually go for the HEA, romance type. But this book had a lot of deep issued points. It shows that even though one can be beaten down, a woman will rise to do what she has to. This focuses on very deep topics, but opened my eyes to what woman are faced with daily. It is the definition of strength.

    The confusion is a part of the character who we follow and at the end if it we learn a great lesson.. That abuse to women, especially in this culture, needs to end. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a woman or girl. If its your daughter, mother, wife, aunt or grandma... This book will open your eyes to the abused woman.

    🤥How many lies can you tell to keep the secret?
    💄How much of yourself would you relinquish to be admired?
    🤯How high is the price for your very soul and identity?
    ⏬How deep do you need to fall to find yourself again?

    Follow the life of Vuyiswa to learn the answers.

    This book left me shattered and with my head full of questions I cannot answer for myself. What would I do, how would I react if I was in her shoes? Is it so wrong to long for a life where the thought of another meal isn’t a priority? Is it wrong to crave for security and love? Where would I draw a line for myself?

    I have to admit, I’m not sure. At first I thought hey, why not take what is offered. Why not live the good life? I was actually at odds with Vuyiswa’s initial reluctancy. Never look a gift horse in the mouth …

    But knowing Swit La Pound’s first book: Flower in Flames, I knew there wouldn’t be a HEA in I AM SHE. Swit is an awesome advocate for abused women and children, in her native South Africa and all over the world. Her books always hold a deeper meaning, uncover grievances, and clearly point the finger at the culprits. This book is meant to show girls and women everywhere that they shouldn’t yield to the demands of men.

    It also shows the dependence of women if they give in to their cravings for material things. Once the corruption of the mind takes hold, the downward spiral is getting steeper and faster with every move.

    If I was in a similar situation, would I be headstrong enough to resist, or end up shattered and broken at the bottom of the pit?

    I still cannot answer the question for myself. Maybe you can, after reading I AM SHE, or maybe not. One thing is for sure though. This book will open your eyes and realign your senses to the threats all women face. Sexual abuse, complete dependency, loss of identity.

    I AM SHE is a must read MATERPIECE !! It is an authentic cry for justice.Justice for the innocent female victims who continue to fall prey to the oppressive cultural norms that empower the lordship of men over their female folks. Oppression in the form of cruel upbringing of the girl child who is not informed of all the expectations of the society when she reaches womanhood. The poor being is left to learn the hard way as the unknown expectations unfold in in explosive and unbearable surprise packs which strips this unfortunate girl off her self worth, dignity and valued social identity. All that is left on and in her is visible shame, bitterness and insanity!
    The oppressors seem to go unpunished ,hence the outcry for justice by the down trodden and accused SHE.Having personally gone through similar oppressive vibes as revealed in this book, I strongly advocate for change and justice for all the suffering SHES in the global village .

    I should have known, reading Swit la pound’s work before. This being nu 3 of ‘ It’s a man’s world’ That she would shred my heart more than once . This book flows and has a raw vulnerability that has me sat thinking, how lucky I am. Again … this is a magnificent insight into another world. One that is real and happens, even today . As Vuyiswa, is held captive by the alluring world of things which has taken her from her sensible path. I was held by the book … I could not put it down once I started.
    This story is written with compassion, anger and a love for us all we need to share …
    Not all stories have a happy ending ..
