Focusing on a young Einstein, the story sees our famed mathematician given a special compass from his Father - a compass which opens the doorway to an adventure that spans millennia. From mythical Atlantis to ancient Egypt, through biblical times to mystical beasts; it's a non-stop whirlwind of time travel fantasy, with a good old dash of good vs evil that will have you gripped throughout.

A great book for the YA audience. I liked how the book shows us the world of good and evil through the magical compass. I enjoyed this book a lot. I liked the fact that time travel, history, and fantasy were combined to tell an interesting story. A well written book.

Under Grace Blair and Laren Bright's hands, Einstein's Compass is more than just another time travel story, but one of soul searching, enlightenment, and classic struggles between good and evil. During this journey, young Albert embraces the threat of death and world-changing perspectives. Indeed, Albert will change the world, one day. But the roots of his knowledge and endeavors take a different turn in a riveting fantasy about soul-searching and growth which will keep young adult readers engrossed to the end.
Doug Simpson, Author of "We Lived In Atlantis"
I was impressed with how the authors managed to incorporate the known information on the lost continent of Atlantis, Light Workers, souls, reincarnation, time travel and the early years of Albert Einstein before he became famous, into a mesmerizing work of fiction readers will have difficulty putting down.
Jacqui Murray, the author of "Ask a Tech Teacher"
I recommend Einstein's Compass as historical fan-fiction, the magic, and fantasy built on top of the factual world of Albert Einstein. Although it is intended for a Young Adult audience, it is well suited to adults who enjoy fictionalized history with a wide-ranging epic theme and a Harry Potter-esque plot.
Rox Burkey, Author of "The Enigma Series"
The extended combination of history and magic was an unexpected mix, which pulled me in from the beginning, captivating me all the way to the surprising ending. This novel takes you from the early childhood of Einstein, which includes an illness that may have contributed to his perspective on the world around him as he grew older. It is refreshing to find a combination of history, religion, and folklore told in such a compelling manner with just the right amounts of magic and suspense.

The combination of science with the supernatural is a winner, and the good vs. evil fight is interesting, making this a good book for YA readers.

Einstein's Compass exhibits a solid writing style and dutifully hits Einstein's developmental and educational milestones while weaving in an imaginative backstory and unique antagonists' perspectives. The what if of Albert Einstein developing his landmark scientific theories through the aid of spiritualism and time travel, all the while battling an immortal dragon-person from Atlantis, is certainly a unique concept.

Authors Grace "Christian Mystic" Blair (aka Grace Allison) and Laren Bright have melded some daring elements of Germany on the brink of Hitler coming into power with a young genius coming to terms with his brilliance, being Jewish among Nazis, and all the expected elements of a Hero's Journey (one shapeshifting dragon...an older wise Mentor...supernatural talisman...).
It is doubtful that kids of the 21st Century place as much weight on Albert Einstein in their thoughts as those of the 20th Century did, thanks to his atom-splitting discovery that led to the invention of the atom bomb. And even more likely that few these days ponder Einstein's roots and development into the genius that he became. I had no idea that he grew up a non-practicing Jewish boy in Germany and was in school just before Hitler came to power (Wikipedia provides further details on his fleeing to Switzerland and later ending up in the U.S., as well as his reluctance for his research to end up as a horrible bomb).
One of the wonderful themes of Einstein's Compass is its own brilliant running theme of "The Split." In the tradition of contemporary fantasy YA novels, there is Good vs. Evil; Light vs. Dark, and the authors make creative use of these concepts as they affect all of us personally as well as politically...and in the world of physics.
Another running theme is Energy itself. The heating up of hands when energy is channeled...the Light it can produce...whether it is being channeled for the good of humanity or its destruction.
Meticulously crafted and beautifully told, Einstein's Compass is garnering awards left and right, and rightly so. Fun for adults as well as teens!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWhat do you get when a modern-day young scientist and mathematician becomes the owner of an ancient, spiritually charged object - a magical compass? You get forays into Atlantis over 10,000 years ago, peeks into other dimensions and realms, meet with sages such as Jesus, Ezekiel, Pharaoh Akhenaten, Moses and Johann, a young German boy's soul and former best friend of Albert Einstein. The author has woven a tale of good and evil with delightfully crafted characters including RAKA the reptilian and Countess van Baden, the evil seductress. If you like science, history, prehistory, spiritual concepts, and a sympathetic young protagonist. you will love Einstein's Compass. At first it seemed this book, described as for YA, Young Adult readers, was out of my normal reading preferences, but I couldn't put it down. My sincere hope is that a talented screenwriter and producer will pick this up. There is truly nothing else like it. READ THIS BOOK!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2019Format: KindleVerified Purchase“This YA time travel adventure has a lot of good things going for it. The story itself is very imaginative as it explores a young Einstein who receives a special gift from his father: a magical compass.
Also integral to the tale were violent chapters focused on religion and mythology—even using some familiar characters from the Bible. These scenes were immense portrayals of the struggle between good and evil.
It was those interludes that lost me a bit. As I read them I would find myself wanting to fast-forward and get back to Einstein. I had a hard time connecting with the story and suspending my belief when well known Bible characters were acting in ways—and with people—that I knew they hadn’t.
Even though not every aspect of this book was for me personally, it is very imaginative and well-written. I think a lot of people will appreciate and enjoy the intelligently developed plot and the combination of grand themes.” 3.5 Stars

It's very imaginative and clever to weave both seemingly accurate historical facts and prominent figures with wild adventures while evading the evil attempts of nefarious shape-shifting dragon.
