Coming To: An LA Lovers Book Kindle Edition
Dani Reed was an outsider. She was no stranger to being different and had been bullied most of her life for it. After the loss of her father, the only person in Dani's life that made her feel loved was the one person she thought she could never have. Her best friend Claire.
Claire Oliver was popular, smart . . . and miserable. Seeing her best friend Dani bullied every day, Claire never dared to be open and carefree. However, Claire's growing feelings for Dani made it impossible to keep pretending. A moment of love, clarity, and bravery lead the two down a path neither could have imagined nor prepared for.
Two years after being forced apart, the young women find their way back to each other against all the odds. But so much had changed. Has the separation strengthened their bond? Or has their love been irrevocably damaged?
This is a New Adult novel that deals with homelessness, disabilities, and prejudices.

About the author

Currently living in the Houston area, Jourdyn spends her time writing and caring for what she equates as a zoo with 5 dogs, 3 cats, a bearded dragon, and 10 aquariums that contain frogs, turtles, an axolotl, an electric blue crayfish, and other fish. In the recent years, she has changed her lifestyle to include working out and eating right. With the recent decline in her mother's health due to Alzheimer's, Jourdyn uses a portion of the proceeds of her books to help those who suffer from this terrible disease. #endalz
Jourdyn loves bringing her characters out for everyone to meet. Her goal is to keep writing in many different genres, as she feels there shouldn't be anything limiting writers.

This is a book about second chances with your true love.
This is Dani and Claire's story, which is part of Jourdyn's LA Lover's series. You will see some of the characters, Ellie, Hunter, and Jessie, as well as Blaise and Piper. Blaise is hilarious and it was fun to watch her interact with Dani.
Dani was in love with her best friend, Claire, but would not tell her. She was bullied and had a difficult home life. Claire has incredibly loving and supportive parents.
After finally admitting feelings for each other, they both feel complete and blissfully happy. That gets torn apart in an instant and Dani's ego gets in the way and refuses Claire's help.
Two years of heartbreak and a tragedy later, they are brought back together. Can they overcome these challenges?
I love the new character, Jos, and her interactions and advice for Claire, and then Dani. I would love to see Jos added to the LA Lover's series!
Jourdyn Kelly is an amazing writer! She lets you into the character's minds and hearts. You will feel the depths of emotion in this as well as her other books. They are women empowering other women. Highly recommended!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseFollowing this author, she continues to explore multiple difficult issues, with compassion, love and some laughter. The characters continue to be complex, imperfect and real. This story explores youth and young love, but also real adult problems and challenges. The message is always that we have “family” and support in ways that can be unconventional but still strong.. and that love can see us through impossibly difficult times. An excellent book.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis book was a really good read. As I was reading I felt as though I was watching a movie that took me on a rollercoaster ride. The story was sad and dealt with a lot of issues, but the author handled it wonderfully. I do wish there were more intimate scenes and that we really got to see them express their love more. I feel like the book is not finished. Would love to see a part 2 where they focus on the adult side of their relationship and what makes it work for them despite Dani's disability. Would also love to see an update on Eve and Lainey, love them.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis book will pull at your heartstrings. I loved it and recommend it for ALL readers of lesfic, romance and many other genres. In fact I can’t recommend it highly enough. I would give it 10 stars if possible.
Dani and Claire are sweet teenagers that have loved each other since they were in elementary school. Nefarious actions of others pull them apart and the ensuing consequences are heartbreaking. I won’t ruin the plot for you, I’ll only say that you should keep a box of tissues handy, you’re in for reading the entire book in one sitting as I have.
I read Something About Eve earlier this year and really enjoyed it too, but didn’t pursue any of her other books until now. I’ve added Jourdyn Kelly as one of my favorite authors now, and I’m about to raid her bookshelf again. As a VERY avid reader I highly recommend this and any other book by Ms Kelly.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI have read books that bring tears to my eyes but this book made me ugly cry more than once even. Let me tell ya it is very hard to read through tears. Dani and Claire's story is one that you won't want to miss. I can see why this was hard to write especially after the loss of Jourdyn's Mom. I know after I lost my Mom in 2019 it was like I was in a fog for the better part of 2 years. So for Jourdyn to be able to write this great story while going through all of that is just amazing. You won't want to miss this story. The last in the series that can be read alone, but you will want to read the others also.

The initiative to take what was a coupla minor moments to aid the progress for two characters' story, would be revisited as a fully fleshed out book of its own, providing not just relevance, understanding & power to Dani & Claire's journey, but imparts Hunter & Ellie's relationship, as well as Blaise & Jessie's characters as well, with more depth & significance as well.
Just another great book in this incredible series of outstanding stories that I never hopes ends.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis new adult edition of the LA Lovers Books is an enjoyable and heartwarming book. I will admit that my daughter would likely be more connected to the protagonists, Dani and Claire, but I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. When tragedy strikes, Dani and Claire are able to find their own strength and strength in each other, family is redefined, forgiveness is needed and given, but for me the best part of the entire book is that kindness and love overcome overwhelming sadness and despair. If you are looking for a steamy romance this probably isn't your best bet, I'd recommend Fifty Shades of Pink or Becoming if that's what you are looking for. I wouldn't mind seeing a follow up to this ... Dani's letters to Claire.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis story made me sad. It was a great book but multiple times I was wiping my eyes and had that pain in my throat. It was so sad to see the outcome of these rash decisions. It broke me that this is truly happening to kids. I loved hunter and Elle and Blaise. the ending was happy but as I finished that last page I still felt devastated for days. Definitely worth reading if you want a good story with a lot of serious world issues

Format: KindleVerified PurchaseDany mochte ich bereits im Buch von Hunter und Ellie „Coming Out“ sehr gern.
Ich freue mich sehr das Claire‘s und Dany‘s Geschichte
in „ Coming To“ erzählt wird.
I already liked Dany very much in Hunter’s and Ellie’s book "Coming Out".
I am very happy that Claire’s and Dany’s story is now told in “Coming To”. I have a weakness for sweet butches ...
Even if it is an extremely hard story with blatant happenings.
Dany learns very early in her life how to deal with bullying and loss of loved ones.
Plus, she's been in love with her best friend Claire, who seems straight, since day one of their friendship ... and her mother is blind to the obvious - Dany is a lesbian!
She doesn't want to know either. The relationship has never been good and she has suffered even more since her husband passed away.
Dany hides everything from her mother. She fears the consequences.
Claire is always by her side. However, everything gets shaky when Claire’s first date is up.
Everything is about to change and a turbulent story begins.
All beloved characters of the LA Lovers from „Coming Home“ and „Coming Out“ are of course back. The change of perspective is great.
I love reading stories from different angles and happenings. It makes a world complete.
The LA Lovers World is so lovable yet full of exciting and dangerous twists. It keeps you in suspense!
Once again a fantastic book by Jourdyn Kelly!
RoseReviewed in Australia on August 7, 20245.0 out of 5 stars Emotional, Gripping and well written.
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseJourdyn Kelly has written another gripping story.
After reading a bit about the main character Dani in the previous book, it was liberating to get to read Dani's story in this book.
Dani's story was written in such an articulate and empathetic manner one could honestly believe the author had witnessed the events.
Once again I have picked up a deep and emotional story that once I started I couldn't stop reading until I had reached the conclusion.
DebReviewed in the United Kingdom on October 3, 20235.0 out of 5 stars wow
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis one is a tuff read. I mean, from the 2nd book you kinda know everything is ok. But the story, the life the main character had…even knowing things would work out it was still hard to read. I loved both characters when we first got a glimpse, loved them even more after this.
You really must read these books, they may have been out a while, but everything still works.
