    I loved Anna and Overton’s story. Each of them has been weighted down with terrible problems, but the Golden Legacy brings them together. I love the historical details in the book. There’s a lot of emotion in the story and some wonderful dramatic scenes like the evil plans carried out by Mr. Svenson. And a little monkey named Raymonde adds a nice touch. This is a great beginning to the Golden Legacy, and I’m looking forward to more books in the series.

    This one started a bit confusing, but once I met the characters it came together beautifully. I enjoyed the story a lot, and the characters are endearing. The suspense is excellent as always with Ms. Matthew's novels. Happy ☺reading 📚!

    I loved this story of adventure, love and intrigue, with unconventional characters that draw out the best in readers. This is an exceptional beginning to a new series of historical romances, and I can't wait to read the rest of the books!

    This is a grand story of love that shouldn’t have happened. An ex-pirate with a sense to make things right, well before his time, and a blind orphan who’s grown into a lovely young woman but overlooked and forgotten as not good enough.
