The House that Jack Built: An edge of your seat serial killer thriller (Jack Ryder Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars (5,515)

From the Amazon ALL-star Bestselling author Willow Rose

Scott Kingston is afraid of monsters. He thinks they’re lurking outside his bedroom window at night when his mother tucks him in. He asks his mother to keep the light on to scare the monsters away. But that light is exactly what lures the kidnapper to his window and the next morning, Scott Kingston is gone.

Twenty-eight years later, Vernon Johnson is released from jail after spending the biggest part of his life on death row, convicted of having kidnapped and killed Scott Kingston. As so many times before, he has appealed his case, but this time, the judge decides to let him go. A witness has finally told the truth, and there is no longer sufficient evidence to keep him in jail.

But shortly after Vernon Johnson is released and has returned to his childhood town, another child disappears, and soon all eyes are on him again.

Jack Ryder is getting ready to build the house of his dreams while hoping that Shannon won’t end up in jail for the murder her ex-husband committed. She is expecting their child and the pregnancy, along with the worrying, takes a toll on the both of them, especially when a dark secret is revealed about the lot where they are preparing to build their house.

First time reading willow rose and I couldn't put it down. Going back and forth in the timeline and gasping at Hector Suarez oh my god. It was a great read and so suspenseful. I didn't see the twist coming and that threw me for a loop.

Enjoyed every minute of the story and was glad to see that the case that Jack was working on from the previous book was finally solved. Now we have to see if Shannon will be left alone because of what she finds back at her home in Nashville. All in all this is a great series but Ms. Willow needs to get a better proof reader. Some words are missing and some are spelled wrong. Otherwise it's a great book series.

I enjoyed this Jack Ryder story as much or better than the first two I read.

I will always look for Willow Rose stories, on kindle unlimited.

This was a very good storyline and kept my interest throughout the entire book.

The story started right up where the last one left off.

Shannon being pregnant and Jack building the family a new home.

It was really a good story as all the others were.

'The House that Jack Built' was another edge of my seat, gripping, thriller ride with a ton of twists and turns. This series has kept me glued to the pages since book one and has yet to let go. The characters are such an array of personalities. Jack was definitely pushed in this book. The storyline was intense. Shannon is trying to hold on, and I believe she's stronger than she thinks. I look forward to reading more. A must add to your tbr list.

Willow Rose is an amazing author. This series was “OMG “. I read the last book in 2 sitting. I couldn’t put the book down. All three books were nail biters and I’ve read many, many of her books. She is a great author.

We are once again thrown into the life of Det. Jack Ryder and his family. His fiancée is accused of murder, his daughter is anorexic, and Jack seems to be clueless.
Young boys are being kidnapped, held, tortured and killed. Jack's man suspect has a great alibi; he was in prison.
I somewhat enjoyed the book. I like Willow's writing style; it normally has a nice flow and is easy to read. This book had many editing issues. There were typos, spelling errors, and inconsistancies in the story.
For example, in Chapter 46 when Hector was trying to find his family in Cuba. First Hector and Raul are asking their way through a crowd for hours searching for them, then Hector is going back to the boat that Raul is guarding. When did they separate.
There are times like when Jack realizes that Austin's misspelling of his name ( using an e instead of an i) is a code, and then figures it's a phone number. Too farfetched and unbelievable.

I'm still going to read book 4 Black Jack. But I'm not a fan of the Jack Ryder series.
