- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2019Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseI couldn’t put this book down! 309 doesn’t waste any time immersing you in the plot and action! I enjoyed it thoroughly and loved seeing the story unfold. There is a distinct playlist that runs throughout the book, and if I wasn’t familiar with the song mentioned, I would find it and listen to it before proceeding to read that particular section. This created a fantastic sci fi action movie in my head and it was exciting to not only see what was happening through the descriptive words, but to hear what was being listened to by the characters. There were some funny one liners the characters shared back and forth, and I loved the Pittsburgh references! Immediately when I finished it, I was hoping there was already a sequel. I can’t wait to see what comes next from Michael Shotter!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2023Format: Kindle'309' by Michael Shotter has been a truly wonderful read! A sci-fi novel that is packed with adventure, mystery and a twist at the end I definitely didn't see coming. This is a superb read, highly recommend this book, you won't be disappointed!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2020Format: KindleHaving some intimate knowledge of the places in the book of course could be what initially sucked me into the story, but just a couple of chapters in and that world I know vanishes and the characters and their journey just makes this sophomore effort by Shotter a must read. It flows so easily from location to location, chapter to chapter that it goes down more smoothly than a pint of Guinness. Just enough tech for fans of sci-fi and carefully crafted character development and dialog. Looking forward to his next projects and reserving a spot on my reading list for when they drop.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2018Format: PaperbackOne of the only science fiction books I've read that has legit research behind it while still being understandable without a degree in... well, science. Also definitely the only book I've ever read that has its own soundtrack written in. I'd write more, but hey, spoilers. And stuff.
