Each story in this boxed set relates the impact of a magic coin on a couple who meet under extraordinarily strange circumstances. I thoroughly enjoyed each writer's spin on the impact of the coin on each couple. It added to the mystery that each tale was set in a different time period.

I liked all the stories in the set, they are nice sweet old-fashioned romances, like the ones you read about in old books or see in old movies, about love, not sex :) There is not much of character development - the stories are too short for that - but they read nice and have amiable characters you'd like to befriend. The idea of the coin passed from generation to generation for luck is great - and also feels like an old-fashioned good-luck charm:) so it stays in character with all the stories.
Generally, it's a very nice set for a quick afternoon read.

The stories were ok.i admire writers but the short stories. Sort of left one hanging.its like fairy tales that tell you.......they lived happily ever after. The endings were a bit abrupt. As I have said before the most satisfying stories are the ones that have epilogues that give you an idea of the happily ever after.Virginia

I'm not traditionally a reader of romance set in the past but I really enjoyed the first book of The Marriage Coin: 'Any Earl Will Do", written by Gwendolyn Schuler; it led me to do research into the history of Ireland at the time - I had never heard of the Peep o'Day Boys - and left me wanting to know what happens to Violet and Declan in the years ahead! Hope the author is planning another installment! In the meantime I look forward to enjoying the rest of the stories; a great summer read!

This collection of shorts, with a common thread, is unique & well thought out by all the authors.
They carry a very interesting love line thru the ages & offer several entertaining perspectives on each era.
Also exposed me to some great new storytellers!

It is nice to have the whole series to read one after the other instead of having to wait a couple of month for the next book come out. I would recommend this set is has suspense, laughter, sadness and happiness in each book.
