Bogeys: Armistice Kindle Edition

In the action-packed opening of “Armistice”, the first book of the “Bogeys” early twentieth-century aviation-centered historical fiction series, two Allied aviators are downed in action on a French farm near the Western Front. The pilots and their rescuers find friendship and love amidst the destruction, despite a sinister German stuck on the wrong side of the line. When World War One ends, what happens to their relationships? Their military obligations require leaving for their homelands, but their futures lie in their adopted French village with the women they leave behind. But first, can they survive their journeys home?

Armistice is Part One in the Bogeys series, an aviation-centered historical adventure of love and friendships, mystery and intrigue.

Author Alan Livingston is a Fort Worth, Texas native living in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. A business school alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin, a survivor of Hurricane Katrina and multiple cancers, he began writing full-time after a long hospitality industry career.

His most recent novel, "Bogeys: Armistice", is the first of two books comprising a unique aviation-centered historical adventure of romance, friendships, flying, and international intrigue. In “Armistice”, two Allied pilots crash into the lives of a French family in the waning days of World War One. When the Armistice stops the fighting in 1918, the book’s intertwined characters and the village of Bonsant join the world to face an uncertain future. Action and suspense are tempered by romance in a thrilling read.

Part Two of the Bogeys series follows them all into the interwar period. Coming soon, the characters of "Armistice" find those dreamed-of lives together could become plans going astray. Murders are but one of many hurdles disrupting their dreams. This new novel completes the Bogeys saga, and is coming soon!

Livingston’s debut novel is the acclaimed inspirational fiction "Gabriel’s Creek", a spiritual fantasy about life, the living of it, and the end of it. In the sanctuary of a magical golf course that exists somewhere between the earthly world and the next, a uniquely gifted dog guides aging man Chris Collins through a round reviewing his life, bringing him peace. Golfers and non-golfers alike find themselves touched by this exploration of our innermost curiosities in a way they didn’t expect. See reviewers' comments on "Gabriel's Creek" and all his works on the Books page of the author’s website, www.alanlivingston.com.

Readers always find interesting Livingston's sole non-fiction work to date, "Intersection with History: How My Family Crossed Paths with JFK and Oswald", a narrative history and memoir. The author recalls the events of November 22, 1963, from his and his Fort Worth family's perspective. The book shares the Livingstons’ unique experiences in the doomed president's final hours, without rehashing the assassination’s well-worn details or its speculative conspiracies. The Livingston's roles that day in their hometown are unlike any you've heard before. Bonus material follows the end of the book, the first two chapters of the novel “Gabriel’s Creek”.

In November of 2019, the popular "Chicken Soup for the Soul"’s edition, "The Forgiveness Fix", published Livingston’s short story, “The Man with the Mohawk”. The true account is one of the author’s many tales of experiences following 2005’s Hurricane Katrina in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Alan has been known to many throughout his life by his first name, Charles, or Charlie. The novelist, memoirist, short story writer, and speaker can be found at English-speaking events in the Yucatan.
