I never thought I would be stupid enough to make a deal with the devil, but here I am doing just that.

It’s not like he really gave me a choice. I have to give the Governor what he wants, or he’s going to throw all of my Savage Kings MC brothers into prison for decades.

And what exactly does Governor Satan need from me? That’s the real kicker because he’s insisting that I…date his daughter. No, not just date her. He wants me to convince Isobel to stop spiraling out of control before she ends up dead, or worse – ruin her father’s chance at getting re-elected.

I have no clue why his beautiful wild child is partying her way through life, crossing off items on a mile-long bucket list, and I don’t really care. Somehow, someway, I have to convince her to put down roots and go back to being the picture-perfect good girl her father raised.

As if I’m not in deep enough, I’ve never wanted anyone more than the free-spirit who refuses to spend her short life standing in one place for too long. Too bad Isobel is going to hate my guts when she finds out I’m the asshole who has to lock her back up in a cage.

And if I fail to do so, well, there won’t be an orange jumpsuit waiting for me. I’ll never make it to prison because the Governor dug up all my dirt that I thought I had carefully buried.

If he tells the Kings that I started prospecting with them as a DEA rat ten years ago, they’ll never forgive me.

How could they when I still haven’t forgiven myself?

    **Sniff** I know I am not the only one who cries for HAPPY. *sniff, sniff** Just like I know I am not the only one who LOVES the MC novels written by the fantastic writing team of Lane Hart and D.B. West! Their prose is descriptive and so easy to read, readers can focus fully on the story. And what a GREAT story it is! SAX is their newest, and possibly my most favorite of their MC novels. (I guess that adding my favorite of their novels seems to change with every new story the writing team of Lane Hart and D.B. West publish would be fair!) It has all the feels, grit, and suspense typical of an MC romance, but SAX has so much more! When Hart and West write, they have these amazingly intricate plotlines that weave together to tell a story which is so much bigger than “girl meets motorcycle-riding bad boy and their love changes him.” What Hart and West give their readers is a timely, contemporary look into one of the issues of the day. A conflict so compelling and complex, that the turmoil of MC life nearly fades into a background thread. Add to this, their ability to create the most phenomenally realistic characters which, though flawed and oh so human, provide the most memorable fulfillment of this MC love story. True to form, Sax and Isobel may capture your heart as quickly as they did mine, and also have you turning pages as quickly as possible – well past the midnight hour! In fact, even the secondary characters, usually a revisitation of characters from previous tales based upon that particular club, become more than just something to move the story along. SAX had me laughing, tense, tittering, and crying with a broken heart and then crying for happy. So, have tissues handy along with your favorite beverage and a fan for those STEAMY, HOT scenes as well! SAX is a 5+STAR MUST-READ and should be your next romance purchase! I volunteered to read a copy of SAX, and this is my HONEST voluntary review. Truly, purchase your copy of SAX today. It is the ninth book in the SAVAGE KINGS MC series, and SAX is one of those stories YOU DONT WANT TO MISS! Happy pages! 😉

Ten years later he’s still an outsider even though he considers the men of Savage Kings his brothers. He’s blackmailed into manipulating a young woman who has secrets of her own and they fall in love despite some serious obstacles. Loved the main characters and seeing the secondary was great. I am loving this MC universe Lane & D.B. have created. From start to finish the story was well written, plausible, sexy, and I was actually sad at the end.

    This one is hard for me...
    I have been a HUGE fan of this series and loved every book so far. This one fell short for me. It didn’t seem like it was up to the same standard as the rest of the series has been.
    I still liked it but didn’t feel completely captivated by Sax and Isobel’s story, which is why I gave it four stars. Another reason is, I didn’t feel that we got a true answer to the “incident” (sorry don’t want to give anything away) that happened.
    Really looking forward to Coopers story!
