If I'm not writing or reading, I'm training for triathlons. It's a good way to challenge my body the way I challenge my brain when writing. I'm not the greatest at it, but not only do I do it for the challenge, I do it for charity. It's a good motivation. :)

About the author

Currently living in the Houston area, Jourdyn spends her time writing and caring for what she equates as a zoo with 5 dogs, 3 cats, a bearded dragon, and 10 aquariums that contain frogs, turtles, an axolotl, an electric blue crayfish, and other fish. In the recent years, she has changed her lifestyle to include working out and eating right. With the recent decline in her mother's health due to Alzheimer's, Jourdyn uses a portion of the proceeds of her books to help those who suffer from this terrible disease. #endalz
Jourdyn loves bringing her characters out for everyone to meet. Her goal is to keep writing in many different genres, as she feels there shouldn't be anything limiting writers.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2024Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseSince I've read the Eve Sumpter series first, i knew this was a hetero story. You can't help fall in love with Blaise, she's a woman that knows herself and takes no guff from anyone. Especially Greyson. Greyson isn't used to women saying NO to his advances. Usually if one does, he walks away, but he can't with Blaise.
This is a beautiful love story, with a plot twist and gives Greyson a mystery to solve. Definitely 5 stars!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseBlaise Knight owns her own florist shop and has two PhDs in botany and horticulture. When Grayson Steele parks in her parking space she blocks him in while she gets her deliveries ready. She can’t abide arrogant, entitled rich guys. Thus begins the relationship of f a lifetime for two strong people who have loyal friends who love them. Great story.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseFull of surprising twists and turns. The personalities of the characters were developed in very interesting ways. This was an entertaining and enjoyable reading experience.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseJourdyn Kelly hit it out of the park with this one. Even though I knew some of the back story, I was still surprised at times. I have read all the Sapphic books in the series, avoiding these. Now I wish I hadn't. It has brought more depth to the characters and a fuller understanding of the interactions. I will continue with the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI thoroughly enjoy books like this with a story line you can follow, that hooks you in from the start. The meat of the story didn't take off immediately, but the characters were what hooked me in so fast. I loved reading about their lives and felt connected to them almost instantly. Once it really got going, the story line AND my connection with the characters made it hard to put down. I would definitely recommend Coming Home to anyone who enjoys a book that has a little bit of everything...romance, suspense, lovable characters, and comic relief. Now that I know Ms. Kelly has cross-over characters in her novels, I will be sure to go back and read the two I haven't gotten to yet!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is my first time reading a Jourdyn Kelly book and I have to say that I am now a fan. To say I loved this book seems so mediocre but that's the best I can do :). The characters were well developed without their history/past being dragged on and on unnecessarily. I loved the cheeky dialogue between Blaise and Greyson (I was a bit jealous of her quick it and snappy comebacks). I was honestly expecting a quick " and they lived happily ever after" as I got closer to the end but the twist was a surprise and a delight. I cannot wait to find out what happens with Cade and Ellie; it seems she has a lot of secrets that need I to be told. I would definitely recommend this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2019Format: KindleI was hesitant about reading this book but I'm glad I took the chance because 💯 I loved this story!!!!
It broke my heart, pissed me the hell off & reduced me to tears, riding the emotional rollercoaster from the prolgue to the epilogue.
The unpredictable & suspenseful storyline made this a very entertaining & engaging book. With a natural, almost effortless, flow to this interesting narrative & relatable characters made it an easy read.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys twists & turns with their romance!!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2016Format: KindleI don't usually read "romance" novels, but the description of the book made me decide to give it a whirl - and I'm glad I did! The chemistry between the main characters Blaise Knight and Greyson Steele built throughout the story, and their banter reminded me of William Powell & Myrna Loy in The Thin Man movies. One thing that didn't seem to quite fit was that Greyson was written as the typical "alpha male" character; however, he was still under the thumb of his controlling parents/family - though that thread did serve to illustrate Greyson's struggle to balance love, duty and honor. I liked the relationship between Blaise and Ellie - if this was a movie, Ellie would be the funny/quirky/loyal BFFcharacter.

Essex throughandthroughReviewed in the United Kingdom on April 22, 20215.0 out of 5 stars What a story!!!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseUnlike a lot of romance stories, this actually felt like a good length tale. So much action and when the inevitable tension towards the "romantic bump in the road" built I began to feel physically sick, I was that invested in Blaise and Grayson. Definitely a must read!
