    Lane Hart delivers another sweet, sexy story with added depth to each character. This is most definitely a standalone book but Logan Davenport is introduced during book 1 of Cocky Cage Fighter Series Jax. The first thing I remember about him is his sister Page calling him Logie. He is a workaholic and is climbing the ladder in his new firm practicing Criminal Law. He gets an urgent call from his sister by Sadie who is really concerned about her best friend Brayden Chambers who we met in Jude's book. Logan is shocked to find out she has been arrested in Mexico and more shocking her father is his boss. His boss is fine with him going to get Brayden and doesn't seem interested either way.
    Logan is tired ,hungry,and impatient after his long flight. This all changes when he sees the small, dark, dingy place they have kept her captive. Brayden is happy and sad all at once that Logan has to see her like this. Someone that she can't get out of her life was her first everything paid the police to arrest her. Brayden is scared to be by herself so she is practically attached to Logan. Logan knows it's wrong for so many reasons including her father is his boss, the age difference, and that she has someone in her life that won't get out of her life. I love that they made this a mini vacation. He truly let himself go after he got really sunburned and walls from both of them went down. When they finally got intimate she said it had to be for the one night. No one knows that she has been dealing with this guy and when she tries to break up with him someone else gets hurt and he ruins there life.
    When they get back home she ends things between them without looking back. Brayden's father has a fit when he finds out she failed out of school. His bright idea is for her to work at his work as an assistant to pay off her schooling. She is supposed to be Logan's assistant but could more flourish? When everyone finds out who her tormenter is will her father believe her? Can a relationship happen between two people that have nothing in common, and a decade of age between them? I am so glad to see Jax, Page, and Sadie as well. I happen to love an older man, younger story. Lane Hart outdid herself. Wreck Me is also in the same genre and a superb book. You will really be missing out on Logan's book!

    Brayden has been a problem child since she was eighteen. Now that she’s thrown into a Mexican jail, her father could pretty much care less. When Logan’s sister asks him to help get her out he reluctantly agrees. What he finds there is the stuff of nightmares and the conditions Brayden experienced left her with a panic that she can’t shake. Add in the fact that the man who has controlled her life for the last five years is the reason she found herself arrested and is a threat to anyone in her life, she’s a bit gun shy about getting involved with another man. Even if she does find Logan deliciously attracted.

    Logan was quite a bit different than most heroes I enjoy. He was a bit nerdy with his high grades in school and his complete absorption with his job. His general outlook was not what one would call alpha. But when Brayden’s situation is exposed, Logan goes all Hulk alpha hero and I loved that this gentle and kind man had such deep feelings for the young woman who in a few hours had turned his life upside down.

    This is a fast paced read with a steam level and some dirty talk that absolutely singed my eyes. Hot doesn’t even begin to describe it. The plot is well developed and the characters equally so. Secondary characters are a bit few and far between as this story had no real need for them but we do get a quick glance at a few favorites from the series.

    Overall, I loved this story and it was the perfect read for a lazy morning. I need more Logans!

    You've met Logan before kind of lurking somewhat in the background of the Cocky Cage Fighter series. I was so glad he got his own book.

    Focused on his career, Logan feels unfulfilled by his boring and no-impact job as an attorney. He's lonely and in a rut that he can't seem to break out of. He wants to use his skill to make real change in the world. When his friend's sister is locked up in a Mexican jail, he grudgingly upends his life to go and try to get her released. When he finds Brayden starved and dehydrated in a tiny jail cell, he is instantly enraged and rescues her. What he doesn't expect is to find himself so attracted to this young woman.

    Always helpful and stalwart, it was nice to get a deeper glimpse into Logan - he is lonely, loving and protective. When he finds out that Brayden is in an emotionally abusive relationship, and he can't stop thinking about her, he can't help himself. He is ready to sacrifice everything to help her.

    Super steamy, with an HEA, this story left me wanting more of Logan and especially Logan and Brayden together. They're a great couple and it was great to see Logan as a passionate and affectionate, fully-formed character.

    As always, I was pulled into the story immediately and couldn't put it down until the end. It's a quick but satisfying read. I continue to be a huge fan of Lane Hart. Anyone who enjoyed the Cocky Cage Fighter series will really like this addition to that world and the little peeks at our original fighters' ongoing happily ever afters.

    Reading Logan's story was awesome! I've loved the whole series of cagefighters and their feisty women and to read a story in their world where I can revisit the characters I've loved so much, was awesome.
    As an added bonus, Lane gives you two more older man/younger woman stories that are very much appreciated.

    I read this book as part of an arc program. I loved this book! This is an older man/ younger woman that features Logan, the brother of Page, who is married to Jax, one of the MMA fighters from another book. Logan is a lawyer and when he is asked by Page to go to Cancun to get his boss's daughter from jail, he goes, but is not really happy about it. When Logan finds Brayden in a concrete jail cell that is smaller than a broom closet, without any food or water for three days, he is furious and carries her out after paying the police. Logan takes Brayden to his hotel and she is very weak and hungry. Brayden begs him to let them stay for a few days before he takes her home to her father. When he agrees, Brayden explains she has a stalker who is responsible for her being in jail and he a powerful man who is waiting for her home. Brayden refuses to tell Logan who he is and even though she is attracted to Logan, she knows she can't act on it because of "Him", who will ruin Logan's life, like he has of anyone she tried to date before. Logan wants to be Brayden and he wants to protect her. The longer he spends with her, the harder his attraction is to fight. On their last night in Cancun, they give into their attraction, but when they return home, Brayden won't talk to Logan. Brayden is still scared and knows this will be her life forever. I loved this book, it had a lot of hot scenes between Logan and Brayden. I loved them together and I loved how Logan wanted to protect her. Another great one from Lane.

When his boss tells him to go bail out his daughter from a Mexican jail, he does not expect the connection that he immediately feels for the beautiful, damaged girl. Brayden is living in fear of her estranged boyfriend - is he really an ex, since every time she tries to break off from him, he comes back with more controlling abuse, viciously hurting those around her that get in his way. Chemistry galore between the two makes this a hot and suspenseful story. Great read!
