Pepped Up & Ready (Pepper Jones Book 3) Kindle Edition
As Jace and I focus on our athletic ambitions, we discover that his social status has followed him to college, despite attempts to keep a low profile. With my boyfriend as the campus idol, I fear that I might just be a target to those who find Jace threatening.
Tests and trials lay before us, not just on the trails and field. Are we strong enough to withstand the pressures of everyone wanting something from us? It won’t be easy fighting for my title and my boyfriend at the same time, but nothing easy is worth winning… or keeping.

Ali is a USA Today Bestselling author of sports romance books. She has always loved to read, especially when there's a happily ever after, but found that there weren't enough books out there featuring girl athletes. So, she decided to work on that. Like the heroines in her books, Ali is an athlete, with running and skiing her favorite sports these days. Ali hails from Vermont and now lives in her own happily-ever-after in Colorado with her husband, two sets of twins, and golden retriever Pancake. When she's not pursuing an outdoor adventure, Ali's less healthy passions include ice cream, coffee, and beer.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2015Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAli Dean did is Incredible! This is one of my all time favorite sports YA series. If you haven't read it yet, you are missing out. It is worth the purchase. You will read and reread again and again.
The Pepper Jones series is just getting better. Pepper and Jace are put to the test and it is a scary one at that. If you like sports YA fiction, this is the series you will not be able to put down. As a reader, from the eyes of Pepper, you are not sure who is a friend or a frenemy. You must read Pepped Up and All Pepped Up before reading this book. Cannot wait for the next part in the series.
I received an ARC of Pepped up and Ready. The following has spoilers.
Jace is off to University of Colorado. Even though the school is in the same town Pepper is terrified that too many things are changing. She is scared about her relationship with Jace and what complications may arise with him attending a new school while playing Division I football. At the same time, she is push herself twice as much to prepare to race in nationals again. We know from book 1 and Ryan (her ex-boyfriend) warned her about running so much to the point of injury. Well that is what Pepper ends up doing. She ends up out for most of the season and is petrified that she will lose any chance of receiving an athletic scholarship. These are the obstacles that are she is going through without anyone interfering. Add jealous college girls and guys, those who seek revenge, and family concerns, Pepper and Jace are pulled through the ringer.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis installment is all about the journey. Not a lot of happy. But we see Pepper go thru her own kind of addiction, her hitting rock bottom, and the deciding where to go from there. Not my favorite book thus far. A lot of drama, but it all gets wrapped up by the end.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI loved this one. Jace and Pepper are in for another rollercoaster ride as they try to deal with the changes going on around them and the people trying to interfere in their relationship. I love how well they know each other and continue to build each other up even with everything else going on. I love that they are so committed to each other so we are getting to see them build that relationship even with the doubts that they sometimes question due to outside happenings, it’s never about the love they share. I can’t wait for the next book!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis was the most intense book of the series so far. The things Pepper has to deal with by being Jace's girlfriend. I was glad she at least took some time to figure out if it was something she could handle. Can't wait to read more.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2015Format: KindleVerified PurchaseJace goes off to college, a bike ride from Pepper's apartment, and Pepper starts her senior year of high school as the top cross country recruit in the USA. Soon she has a choice: University of Oregon, where her running idol goes to college, or University of Colorado-Brockton, near her grandmother and at the same school as her boyfriend, Jace. Will she branch out and leave everything familiar and comfortable, or will she stay in her hometown with the boys who pursue her and the girls who pursue Jace? Pepper Jones needs to tackle challenges during the fall season -- injury, being roofied, dating a boy at college, being approached in the pool and the gym. For two private people, they live highly visible, public lives! This book moves from one tense moment to the next. It's fast-paced and ambitious, just like Pepper.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis was such a good book. It’s a quick, easy read. Has some drama to keep it interesting. Love the characters. Can’t wait to read more.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2015Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIt is Pepper Jones' senior year and she has a lot to live up to from last years cross country season. Question is...will she go too hard? Or will she listen to her coach? Add that along with that Jase going to college and she is in a frenzy. Of course....Jase is only ten minutes away, but at some points itll seem like 10 hours for Miss. Pepper.
Not to mention that Pepper is now dealing with choosing where to go college. Staying in Brockton with Jase would be optimal, but can other schools sway her? This and more when you read this third installment. It is as riveting as ever and I always enjoy Author Ali Dean's sports romances.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is a sweet teen young adult book that is a fun read. Plenty of drama that will keep you reading. Pepper is a senior and Jace is at college so lots of new issues, lots of old issues and it wouldn't be a Pepper book without lots of drama. Even with all the difficulties this story is so sweet.
