Carson lives in the South with her son, a Great Dane and two adopted shelter dogs that keep the household in line. Books have always been a part of her life. There is nothing better to her than curling up and relaxing with a good story and losing herself in someone else's world for a few hours.

    Carson Mackenzie is an author that you can't wait for her next book, she is that good.

    This is the third book in her Black Hawk MC series. I tell anyone who will listen to read her books. She tells a story that we all can relate to. The men are not perfect, but they are strong and any women they care about is the center of their universe. The women have their own ghosts, but they are strong and get their happily ever after.

    Not only do you get to read about the adults, but you see the men especially deal with beautiful little girls. And their parts of the story will make you laugh out loud.

    I really liked the storylines behind the characters of all 3do far and am looking forward to thr rest. That being said I only have 1 pet peeve and it is one that a great many authors make. Before you speculate it isn't spelling or grammar. A Marine is a Marine..someone who takes care of Marines for medical reasons are Corpsman. Soldiers are in the Army and are taken care of by medics. Sorry...like I said, I LOVED the storylines and have added her to my list of authors I really enjoy.

This is the kind of second chance I love - no cheating - just a really horrible circumstance that pulls them apart for a time that does not involve violence.     Devil is another exciting story by Mackenzie. Lance aka Devil is the hero of the story and is a dream Bailey is one lucky lady. They have loved eachother since high school. He left to join the Army she stayed for college. They were suppose to reconnect after his first year in the Army but war happened and Devil wasn't the same person. Years later when he is done in the Army and returns to take his place at the Black Hawk's table as one of the leaders, he has decided it's time to make Bailey his. Will Bailey able to forgive their past, move on to the future as Devil's old lady? Or will she walk away??

    The end of the book has h looking like a shrew…

    I've enjoyed the first two books, but I've got to say, this was quite disappointing.

    No real connection between the two and she was such a door mat to his character.

    There could have been so much more when he brought Neely home, but the female lead just rolled over and accepted everything.

    Such a disappointment.
