Remember your stories must center around Buffy and Angel, or Buffy and Angelus. Any length (from 100 word drabbles and up), any rating or any genre is acceptable, but stories must be complete and standalone. And you can post/submit more than one story. Feel free to ask any questions here or feel free to pm me at any time.

Like last year the fics will be hosted on the I Will Remember You Collection on AO3. So instead of sending me your completed fics to post you, the author, will post your own fic to the collection. All fics will remain unrevealed until I post the links to the fics at iwry_marathon

Buffyverse Top 5 Opens in 2 Weeks!

It's time to pick out your costume, start carving those pumpkins, and decide on goodies to share because it's almost time for the 2021 session of Buffyverse Top 5!

That means recs for all fanworks in the Whedon fandoms. Our kickoff is on October 22, 2019 at midnight UTC (click here for your time zone). The session will run across Halloween in all timezones and close on November 2 midnight UTC.

For anyone who has questions about how things will go, please comment here or you can check out information on what to post during a Buffyverse Top 5 session.

Buffyverse Top 5 Re-Opens in 3 Weeks!

In this 15th anniversary year we're reaching out to anyone involved with the Whedon fandoms now or in the past. buffyversetop5's 15th anniversary session will open at Midnight GMT on October 23 and run until Midnight GMT on November 3. As in the past, this Halloween session will be open for Classic Recs, but all time periods are welcome. We'll be closing out the session with a FlashForward Weekend for your 2020 recs.

So please share your favorite fics, vids, graphics, anything and everything fandom has produced in any of the Whedon fandoms (crossovers included!) Our session runs on both LiveJournal and Dreamwidth, with the option to copy posts onto Pillowfort. For the first time we'll also be incorporating posts from Twitter to our new AO3 Collection.

Don't hesitate to drop us a comment if you have any questions. We hope to see you soon, and do bring along some treats!

Description: buffyversetop5 is a seasonal community for posting fanwork recs for all the Whedon fandoms.

Dates: Opens on October 26, 2019 at midnight UTC (6 PM EST on Thursday, October 25 in the U.S. Click here for your time zone).

October 25-27: Classic Recs weekend for any fanworks pre-2019
October 28 - November 1: Any mix of recs you'd like.
November 2-4: Flash Forward weekend focusing on content from 2019.

No matter what assortment of fan-created content recs you have, they will be welcome, so please share your recs of fics, vids, graphics, anything and everything fandom has produced in all the Whedon fandoms. As always, crossover content is A-OK!

As the name suggests, multifandom_bb is a bigbang community accepting a variety of fandoms.

With the accepted fandoms of Supernatural, Supernatural RPF J2 (Jared Padalecki/Jensen Ackles), BtVS/AtS (Buffy Verse), The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Star Trek (All TV Versions/Movies), Stargate (All Versions), Smallville, Leverage, Firefly/Serenity, True Blood, Dr Who, Teen Wolf, Lost Girl, Lucifer, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, iZombie and Once Upon A Time, there is a big sand box to play in and everyone is welcome!

There are two categories for the writers to choose between, the mini bang, with a minimum word count of 10,000 and the big bang, with a minimum word count of 20,000.

Mini Bang = A minimum of 10,000 words and a minimum of 1 piece of artwork.
Big Bang = A minimum of 20,000 words and a minimum of 2 pieces of artwork.

ALL fics up for claiming will be guaranteed artwork!

As in the past, this Halloween session will be open for Classic Recs. But we're also going to have a new event -- FlashForward Weekend, October 27 and 28, for your 2018 recs!

It's Time to Make Those 2017 Lists!

Before you happily kick 2017 to the curb, remember the things that were actually good about it, such as Buffyverse fanworks!

Gifting your fellow fans some lovely items to start the coming year with is a great way to spread a little cheer to all those wonderful writers, artists, vidders, mods, and more who have given you something to smile (or maybe cry) about during 2017.

buffyversetop5 will reopen for its 2017 session on January 1, 2018 at midnight UTC (check that in your time zone) and will remain open through 6 PM GMT on January 16th.

So start checking your download folders, your tags, your bookmarks and memories to see what you enjoyed this year and what you want to make sure the Buffyverse community doesn't miss from 2017. If you want to help spread the news, several artists have made us starter treats to entice friends to the party. If you have any questions about the session, ask them here!

Are thoughts of Halloween creeping up on you? It means Classic Recs is coming too!

A month from now at midnight GMT on October 28 (6 PM EST in the U.S. on Oct 27) we’ll be celebrating Halloween through all the time zones until midnight November 1. Five days for you to bring your all-time favorite recs of fics, vids, graphics, anything and everything fandom has produced in all the Whedon fandoms! All time periods before 2017 are eligible for posting and, as always, crossover content is A-OK, so get those lists ready!

We also want to alert anyone following us here that, following the movement of many people to Dreamwidth, either primarily or exclusively, we are opening the Dreamwidth outlet to posts during this session. So whether you want to post here or there, we hope to see names old and new here soon. Let us known if you have questions!

Hey guys, do you all remember Puppy Love? Well, I want to write a sequel, but I realize I wrote the first one on a series of prompts, off a prompt chart specifically, so I need help again.

I need another prompt chart, just like my first one, but this time I want twenty five prompts and five blank spots for me to put in my own prompts. Remember, I shuffle prompts around to suit the story best, but I do use the prompts, just not in ways that you imagine or expect usually. So, anyone want to make me a thirty count prompt chart? Twenty five you write, five you leave to me. Please comment or e-mail that you want to volunteer, you'll get first dibs on chapters as they're written instead of as they're posted, and you'll get continued contact with the author about how the story is going.

As for when this sequel will be situated, I don't know, the prompts will tell me, and the prompts may spread over centuries, so who knows, right?

nekid_spike is having it's first Reverse minibang!

Artists can submit up to two pieces of fanart for claiming

The art must have a BtVS/AtS character/pairings with or without Spike. Any ratings, genres, pairings, threesomes and moresomes are allowed. (No crossovers)

Minimum word count is 1,000 words for claimed art. There is no maximum word count.

The Nekid Spike Vampires, Demons and Hunters Minibang

Sign ups closing soon for The Nekid Spike Vampires, Demons and Hunters Minibang!

Crossovers are allowed within certain fandoms. The allowed fandoms are the entire cast of Supernatural, the cast of True Blood, The Vampire Diaries and any Vampire from anywhere.

One half of the pairing (or at least one third of a threesome) must be a BtVS or AtS character, So pairings such as Spike/Damon Salvatore, Willow Rosenberg/Dean Winchester, Angel/Castiel or Buffy Summers/Bill Compton are allowed, but pairings such as Dean Winchester/Damon Salvatore, Bill Compton/Elena Gilbert or Castiel/Eric Northman are not.

You are of course allowed to have all your characters from the BtVS/AtS fandoms and are not obliged to include any characters from the permitted crossover fandoms if you prefer not to. The choice is yours!
