2 years to the day after Fellowship was released.
1 year and 1 day since Two Towers was released.
2 days since Return Of The King was released.
Return of the King is the best film I have ever seen. I don't want to describe it in too much detail, or see it too many times for fear of ruining it. This is what I will say:
It started in terms of story completely differently to the way I had supposed. Quality wise, it started as I had expected - fantastic, brilliant.
Within a few scenes, it had far surpassed my expectations...
I can't describe it, other than to say it was sincerely the most wonderful, beautiful, glorious, enrapturing film I have ever seen or will ever see. All of the sentiment I value so much was embodied. peter Jackson's interpretation of the story was so much better than I would have believed possible. The actors continued BEING the parts, as opposed to simply acting them. It was emotional, beautiful, tragic, happy. After it was over, I didn't feel disappointed that there would never be another LOTR film, I felt satisfied, fulfilled.
I felt deeply a love and passion for the films, and have not taken the Ring off since, feeling such strong emotions. While watching the film I was living in Middle Earth, and cried almost completely throughout, becuse it was so beautiful, or tragic, and because I so thoroughly felt the emotions of the characters.
Peter Jackson, I salute you.
Truly, this film is the best film ever created, in past, present or future.
Home is behind
The world ahead
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadow
To the edge of night
Until the stars are all alight
Mist and shadow
Cloud and shape
Hope shall fail
All shall fade
