It's been some weekend...
Sunday night was the fireworks, so we all went up Blackford Hill. Naturally, it got really foggy just before the fireworks started, so we didn't actually see them. But I was otherwise engaged. I will update you later, I'm not sure what actually happened. (As in, I do actually remember, but I'm just not sure what happened or how it happened. This all sounds very cryptic; it's not.) Also, if anyone *cough cough* cares to let me know where things stand, I'd be very grateful...
Monday was nasty - I had a history presentation first thing, so I had to be in school, despite getting back late, and having a fully-fledged flucold, which had been building up the day before. I managed history, then (literally) slept through English. The teacher kept asking me 'Are you all right? You look really pale...', and all I was trying to do was stop my head hitting the desk.... not felt that ill in...... oooooh, 8 months? Anyway, joy of joys, I had a full day at school, then the dentist, then I slept straight through from 5ish until 8 this morning.
Then I had to get up and start getting ready for the first of the University Open days - Strathclyde Uni, through in Glasgow, Glasgow Uni proper being tomorrow. (Billy Boyd Land!) Anyway, had a few lectures, tours of the accomodation and such, and it seems pretty cool - the only problem is, the course I want to do, Journalism and Creative Writing (in conjunction with English Lit) had 30 places. And there were at least 200 people in the lecture - actually more than there were for English itself! Shoite on a boike indeed...
Anyway, I think that's all, and I apologise if there are more typos than usual, I'm reeeeeeally tired...
Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention - WE'RE GOING TO SEE THE DARKNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
here's the lyrcis to the one, random Darkness song I can't get out of my head - yes, it is a Christmas song, and yes, we are in September, and yes, it is my good friend
girlonthedock's birthday *checks date* VERY SOON...
Feinging joy and surprise at the gifts we despise over mulled wine with you
On the 25th day of the 12th month
The sleigh bells are in time ringing true
How we cling each day long to that snowflakes and hope in hell
that it won’t end
Don’t let the bells end
Christmas time, just let them ring in peace.
Well the weather is cruel,
and the season of Yule warms the heart, but it still hurts.
You’ve got your career, spent the best part of last year apart and it still hurts
So that’s why I pray each and every Christmas day that it won’t end
Don’t let the bells end
Christmas time, just let them ring in peace.
Christmas time, don’t let the bells end
Christmas time, don’t let the bells end
Dust underneath the mistletoe leaves when you’re not here,
You went away upon boxing day,
Now how the hell am I gonna make it into the New Year.
Christmas time, don’t let the bells end
Christmas time, don’t let the bells end
Christmas time, don’t let the bells end
Christmas time, just let them ring in peace.
Christmas time, don’t let the bells end
Christmas time, don’t let the bells end
