I'm back!
London was *sniggers* hypercool! (sorry, I just find French slang amusing!) We were staying in a pretty good Youth hostel, apparently it's the poshest hostel in Britain?!
Anyway, we went to a poetry library, where I found a book of Tolkien's verses (so I'll have to buy that if I see it in the shop), but it missed out one of my fave poems! (Can't actually remember which one at present, but hey ho to the bottle I go... lol) Then we went to the National Theatre, and did a heeeeeoooooooge backstage tour, which was AMAZING! We saw the props departments, and the set building areas, and learned about the theatres themselves (there's three theatres next to each other comprising the National). We also did the same at Shakespeare's Globe the next day, which was also incredible.

Other things we did was a literary tour of London, seeing places where authors wrote, or set books, and places like Westminster Abbey and St Paul's Cathedral where many authors are buried.
We went to the IMAX, where we saw Ghosts of the Abyss, by James cameron, director of Titanic. It was basically about him visiting the wreck of the Titanic with some scientists, and the first bit was really boring ('...and this is the third rivet from the bow on the boat we'll be using as a base....') it was much better later on, with the whole 'personal aspect' of it.
We went to the Tate Modern and the National Gallery, which were both much better than I'd thought - we saw Van Goghs and Turners and abstracty stuff.
There was also Covent Garden.... shooooooooopping!!!!!! I looooooooooove Covent Garden!
The two plays we went to see were The Goat/ Who Is Sylvia, which was all about a man who was in love with a goat..... ie bestiality...... AND THE MAN WAS PLAYED BY JONATHON PRYCE!!!!!!!!! That's Governer Swann (Elizabeth's dad) in POTC! WOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!! The play was hilarious, and also pretty disturbing....
The other play was Endgame. I'll describe that later - it's all in a thing I wrote in my real diary thingy while I was there, and Annie wanted to read it so I'll have to type it up...
And then there was Friday night. Most people had taken or bought drink with them. I'd been in the shower, and the rest of my group were going down to play Uno, but I for some reason (I don't know why, it just felt wrong) didn't go down with them... I then managed to get locked out of my room in my bare feet with Flora, and we ended up in the room with Kimmy and Stacy and Marina etc who were doing vodka shots. Basically, I had the tiniset slurp of a bottle of coke and vodka. Me and Flora then went in search of Cara to get keys to a room, and ended up in the boy's dorm. Flora picked a lock, got a litre of vodka out of a cupboard and drank some. Iain then took it off her, and to cut a long story short, they ended up locked in a bathroom together for half an hour. Draw your own conclusions.
Rachel and Andy also went missing for about three hours, and were eventually seen by the teachers coming out of a pub. Most people on the trip were pissed, and the teachers were not pleased. Basically now we're all getting in shoite. Which I feel is unfair, as I genuinely had only one sip, and loafds of people were rat-arsed, or had had a lot the night before, and weren't getting in trouble *coughJOANDJEN,all the sixth yearscough* but I did still have a sip..... *frowns* Anyway, more coming later....
Oh, I forgot to mention, apparently nine out of fifteen people said I was out of my face. They also saif Fiona (who doesn't drink) was drinking or drunk...... and they said Jo was drunk because she fell over her trousers. Hmmmm.
