Ho hum, pigs bum....
I've heard there was a secret chord,
That David played, and it pleased the Lord,
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Maybe I have been here before
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
There was a time you'd let me know
What's real and going on below
But now you never show it to me, do you?
And remember when I moved in you
The holy dark was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Maybe there's a God above
And all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you
And it's not a cry you can hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
First exam, French listening, tomorrow. I'm not actually too scared, although I know there will be hell to pay if I don't get good enough results. I think it is soooo nasty to give us exams A WEEK after the Christmas holidays, and expect us to do all our revision then - I mean, I had family commitments for at least 8 out of 14 days, and then I saw Babz, who was up from York for a short period of time... basically, I did about 3 days revision. Aaaaanyways...
I realised something rather freaky the other day - when I was in Cape May in the summer, I bought a wish bracelet for Megan and me. (At the time, I just thought it was pretty.) basically, you're supposed to make a wish as you tie it on (you can't get it off until it wears out unless you cut it) and I thought I'd wished for one thing. But at that time, I also used to wish (you know, like in chain emails) that things between me and Aylson would go back to the way they were. (At that time, things were... I don't know... wrong.) But then, for a while, I just wished everything would turn out right, and I think I must have made this wish as I actuallt TIED the bracelet on...
The bracelet fell off on my birthday.
Make of that what you will.
I had more to say, but I've forgotten it.
