Here we go - 2017 :) Aim is to read more books!!

Movies
A=amazing, B=bloody good, C=cool D=dung E=evil

01. La La Land, 2016. C. I really wanted to see and love this movie after all the hype but I came out feeling numb. The singing was okay, the dancing was okay, the story was okay ... but it was not the Hollywood movie of dreams it was sold as and hence disappointed me! Realism and dreams for me, never mix!
02. Rogue One. 2016. C-. Not as good as the last Stars Wars movie and in fact I nodded off during the lengthy fight scene. Not bad but I won't be rushing to watch again (ever).
03. The Girl on the Train, 2016. C-. A pretty okay book but the movie was not really like the book at all and instead tried to be Gone Girl ... disappointed.
04. Hunt for the Wilderpeople, 2016. A+. Such a fantastic movie! The story was so beautiful, the characters so real and the scenery spectacular and all with a sadness that was always felt but a humour and fun sense that lightened every moment. I real joy of a movie!
05. Sing Street, 2016. B+ Loved this - feel food - great music - lovely casting!!
06. Bridget Jones Baby, 2016. B Good movie and great to see all the cast back together.
07. Megamind, 2010. C Pretty funny.
08. Red, 2010. B- Great movie.
09. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, 2016. B+ Lovely adaptation of the book and that's me all ready to read book 2.
10. Doctor Strange, 2016. B+ Really enjoyed this super hero, loved the story and special effects. Would have been great to see at the cinema.
11. The Interview, 2014. B VERY funny!
012. Gandhi, 1982. A. 013. The Young Offenders, 2016. B Very funny Irish movie.
014. Lion, 2016. A Incredible movie - so moving!!!
015. Into the Wild, 2007. A Re-watch of a favorite. Tragically beautiful! "Happiness is only real when shared."
016.Nocturnal Animals, 2016. C Creepy movie with an abruptly odd ending.
017. Race, 2016. C Good movie and interesting to hear the historical story.
018. Annie, 1982. A One of my favorite childhood movies!! <3
019. Ferris Buellers Day Off, 19986. B rewatch of an old favourite.
020. The Good Lie, 2014. C Okay but not great.
021. The Motercycle Diaries, 2004. A Rewatch of a great movie.
022. Trolls, 2016. A Totally feel good family movie.
022. Sing, 2016. B Fun movie but not as great as some kids movies.
023. Split, 2016. A AMAZING movie!!! James McAvoy was incredible and made what could have been just another boring hostage movie a delicious epic! Can't wait for the Unbreakable / Split sequel!!<3
024. Skyfall, 2012. C Having just visited Glen Etive decided to rewatch this and I have to say it is one of the better recent Bond movies.
025. Happy Potter and the Philosophers Stone, 2001. B+ Loved this first adaptation! Beautiful scenery of Scotland and wonderful cast.
026. Happy Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, 2002.B+ A Christmas favourite for some reason. Poor Ginny getting into all sorts of trouble in her first year at Hogwarts.
027. Happy Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, 2004. B My favourite book on first reading and I was initially disappointed with the movie but on rewatch I enjoyed much more.
028. Happy Potter and the Goblet of Fire, 2005. B Great movie with tri-wizard wonder!
029. Happy Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, 2007. B- Always the most boring for some reason even though I loved the introduction of Luna and I adored the creation of Dumbledore's Army!
030. Happy Potter and the Half Blood Prince, 2009.A Probably my favourite of the later movies. So much intrigue and an ending to pierce your heart!!
31. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1. B+ SO SAD at the start when Hermione makes her parents forget ... and Dobby!! *sob*
32. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2. B+ Neville!! <3
33.Logan, 2017. B Great story and epic as always.
34. Sleepless in Seattle, 1993. C. Re-watch of an oldie - bit stalker-ish when you re-watch now haha!
35. Moana, 2016. A Fabulous Disney flick with lovely songs and strong lead female. Loved Maui!!
36. Legends of the Fall, 1994. A+. One of my all time favourite movies - it has everything - war, family, love, tragedy and Brad Pitt!
37. The Goonies, 1985. A. Childhood fave!!
38. Pitch Perfect 2, 2015. C Re-watch for a sing song.
39. A Walk in the Woods, 2015. C It was okay!
40. Wild,2014. C Re-watch as I'm in a walking mood.
41. Snatch, 2000. B Re-watch with Ian.
42. Slumdog Millionaire, 2008. A A rewatch with my boyfriend.
43. Deepwater Horizon, 2016. B Really harrowing and apparently a good life offshore mirror.
44. Tomorrowland, 2015.B+ Loved this movie!! Very fun!
45. Zombieland, 2009. A Rewatch - love this movie!
46. Wonder Woman, 2017. C+. Pretty good movie - lots of action and romance!
47. The Accountant, 2016. C+ Good movie! Not sure if the brother story was meant to be a twist but thought it was obvious .. still good though.
48. Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them, 2016. B+ Very fun movie!
49. Beauty and the Beast, 2017. B+ Wonderful! I adore EW.
50. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, 2008. B VERY funny!!
51. Minions, 2015. B Very funny and I didn't even watch Despicable Me.
52. Everything, Everything, 2017. C+ Good adaptation of a great book.
53.Pride and Prejudice, 2005. A Lovely adaptation of a wonderful story. First watch for my man.
54. This Beautiful Fantastic, 2016. A+ Adored this movie so much - really wonderfully told with floral beauty and quirkiness which appealed greatly. <3 Probably my favourite so far this year! (or certainly tied with Wilderpeople)
55. The Circle, 2017. B- Scary scary concept!!
56. Nine Lives, 2016. C_ Random movie - fairly funny but really they all sold out!
57. As Good as it Gets, 1997. A Wonderful movie.
58. Hidden Figures, 2016. B+ Great movie, funny and great cast! Amazing story.
59. A Dogs Purpose, 2017. B Cried a lot on the plane! Loved this slushy story.
60. The Dark Tower, 2017. B+ Okay it isn't the books but its a good stand alone movie which if anything was a bit short.

TV
Narcos, S1 Finished. Great but Pablo is a dick! :)
The Vampire Diaries, Season 7 Don't really miss Elena at all and loved the wee English lassie ... Caroline is fab and Damon is a god. <3
The Big Bang Theory, Season 10 In progress .... so much fun! The birth episode with Amy's birthday was so funny and the one after too. Great season!!
Sherlock, Season 4 Middle episode was a bit odd but one and three were amazing. Three was totally creepy!!
Gilmore Girls, Season 1 - 7 My lunchtime treat ... a new girly show from times long ago. Epic and delicious. <3
Gilmore Girls, A Year in the Life, Netflix Terrible reprise!! Did not like the arty take, the Logan story or the ending. :(
Party of Five, 1994-2000 Rewatching an old university favourite - season 1 -4 done .... love Claudia! Griffin is SUCH a loser and Bailey is annoying as feck (used to fancy the pants off him!) SO MUCH DRAMA!! lol
The Night Manager, 2016 Terrific mini-series with lots of plot twists! Really enjoyed.
Black Mirror, 2001 - now Just watched the first episode of s1 - VERY odd!

Books
1. One Hundred Years of Solitude, Gabriel Garcia Marquez from 2016 and ongoing ...
2. Cairngorm John, by John Allen Fabulous read about live in Mountain Rescue in Cairngorms. Makes me want ot get into the hills.
3. Seven Steps to Everest, Mark Horrell Totally different style to Cairngorm John and it took me a while to switch to the humour, but once I got into it the story was gripping. The account on Everest especially was deeply moving in many ways.
4. If I Stay, Gayle Forman Quick read - interesting take on "life/death" - loved Mia the character. Would like to read the sequel.
5. Everything, Everything Loved this book! Lovely and fun the chapter style. Epic twist!
6. The Memory Keepers Daughter, by Kim Edwards Beautiful yet tragic story of the secrets and lies we tell and of family.
7. The Happiness Project,
8. Hollow City,
9. The Keeper of Lost Things, Started on holidays and loving it so far.

Season 4 - Booth and Brennan Moments (Part 2)

Continuing from Part One of my B+B Season 4 moments .....

414. Hero In The Hold

Brennan calls Booth to ensure he is on his way to her award ceremony. He isn't but tells her Don’t worry, I will be there when they crown you super scientist ..." and checks his reflection in the mirror whilst suggesting, "I bet you are looking beautiful ..."

Brennan looks distressed when she receives a call saying the gravedigger has Booth. She is angry when they realise Jack has stolen evidence putting Booth's life is in danger. And later, she tells Hodgins they can't try and solve the case because they don't have time and because, "We don't have Booth to help."

Brennan tells Angela "I don't love Booth" with Angela who tells her they all love Booth and Brennan silently agrees by placing the evidence on the boundary stone.

Teddy asks Booth about his partner, "Yeah ... Um ... we’re uh ... you would have ... you’d like her. She’s ..." Later they talking about not telling people you loved them and Teddy thinks, "So maybe that’s why I’m here. To get you to say “I love you” to somebody."

Brennan asks Jared to steal a body from FBI storage which the squints analyse to try and find out where Booth is being held, telling him, "You are a selfish coward and you never deserved him.". Her anger again boils over when they learn Booth's location and she whacks the gravedigger with a case before taking the helicopter to rescue Booth and giving him into a tight hug.

We learn from them talking that she collected him from the hospital. She also accompanies him to the cemetery the next day to visit the grave of his friend Teddy who he confesses helped him escape, Booth calls him a ghost. She hands Booth a new Cocky belt buckle and he smiles. Booth tells her, "Corporal Edward Parker. He was slain while serving his country. (pauses) He was 20. He was just a kid." Brennan seems to understand Booth feels guilt for this but asks gently, "Was it ... your fault that he died?" He tells her no and then leaves Brennan amazed that he is about to give a woman a message from a ghost.

415. Princess in the Pear

Brennan arrives at Booth's place - it appears he asked her to come over before they head to the crime scene - to find him in his shirt and boxer shorts and with back pain, "Look, I figured you fixed my back last time, really well, and I just thought that maybe you could fix it again, so use your little magic knuckles, and hit it up, and we're good to go." Brennan refuses telling him he should seek help for what seems to be a recurring injury. He pleads with his best charm smile, "I'm not asking you to perform surgery; just do what you did last time and fix it with your magic knuckles ... Look, there's no one I trust more to get my back and crack it, than *you*. " and she finally gives in telling him, "that was effective. Turn around." She further injures his back - telling Angela and Cam (as she enters the Jeff') that he has a suspected "herniated disc ... The vicodin seems to be working. He claims it makes the furniture feel friendly. But he'll be on bed rest for the remainder of the week." So Agent Perotta is to stand on on the case and Brennan compares and complains she is different to Booth a number of times starting with, "Booth usually waits for me to conduct my own examination of the scene." and then telling Angela "I like working with Booth. I'm nice to him."

When B+B talk on the phone Brennan asks how his back is doing. The calls ends up as a conference call when Booth accidentally adds Perotta and Perotta has to listen to B+B bicker over whether or not Booth should be allowed to come in and question a suspect.

When Brennan is asked by Agent Perotta to watch the video feed of the auction with her, rather than be happy to be involved in the case she asks, "Is there a special reason why you wanted me here, Agent Perotta?"

After the car crash B+B again talk on the phone this time Booth asking if Brennan is okay. Booth, still in pain, is determined to get back to work to protect Brennan and ends up asking to speak to Perotta telling her, "The only reason that I'm not coming in right now is because Bones told me not to. But she is your responsibility. Nothing can happen to her, okay? If anything happens to her, you know, that silky black hair and ... that soft skin..." True to her word Perotta tells Brennan, "Please don't go out in the field without me." to which Brennan replies, "I don't need a sitter. Booth gets needlessly protective sometimes. I have no idea why." Perotta, amused answers, "You really don't, do you?"

At Booth's apartment Brennan tells Booth about the case as she looks over his back x-rays. Brennan proclaims she is glad the age of chivalry and knights and maidens is past, but Booth confesses, "I gotta tell you, I think they had it pretty good idea with the whole chivalry thing, you know, open cart doors, kill dragons, small hearts ... " When Brennan tells him he has a simple misalignment which she can fix Booth is sceptical, "Let’s not make it about trust!" but lets her fix his back - which she does as Agent Perotta walks in and there is a seemingly awkward moment, where Booth has two women in his apartment taking care of him whilst he is off work - both of them leave.

416. The Bones That Foam

As B+B walk over the rocks Brennan almost falls and Booth, concerned says, "Watch yourself." Booth suggests seeing a dead body may "put a crimp in their wedding night ... coming face to face with death like that, kind of kills the desire don't you think." Brennan dismisses this notion saying, "I work with remains every day but if I'm sexually attracted to someone I'm perfectly capable of engaging in spirit ... " Booth interrupts her before she can finish her sentence. After deciding to take the remains to the Jeff' Booth goes to high five Brennan but she stops as she is wearing gloves.

Cam suggests to Brennan that she join Booth in the field as she gets impatient when the Bones are contained due to the foam. As they arrive to the car showroom to question the victim's brother Brennan tells Booth, "You need to stop using cartoons as a scientific reference." Once inside Brennan seems annoyed when Booth growls at the sales girl:
Booth: "What? She rawred me first."
Brennan: "Doesn't mean you have to rawr her back."
Speaking to the brother Brennan asks Booth "What's a sensitive way to murdered?"

B+B question several more suspects and at another car showroom Brennan tells Booth, "That makes no sense" after he and the two men agree people want to buy a car "from a guy whose vital, makes a man feel like you know he's on the winning team, makes a woman feel all protected and safe."

As Brennan watches Booth question a suspect and tells Sweets "I wanna do that ... connect to people, like Booth does ... you can teach me!"

B+B go to a strip club to question a dancer:
Booth: "You know what you didn't have to come inside with me."
Brennan: "I look forward to observing your behaviour."
[ ... Brennan tells Booth she wants to study his "technique" ... ]
Booth: "Alright Bones, you know it's a little weird that you're here watching why don't you just go outside?"
Strawberry Lust: "It's not weird baby, lots of people like to watch."
Brennan: "Thank you. I get tremendous satisfaction out of observing a whole variety of activities."
Booth: "I'd like to ask you a couple of questions." (Booth is pushed into a seat)
Strawberry Lust: (giggles) "You're boyfriend's shy isn't he. Sweet. That'll be sixty bucks."
Brennan: "Okay, I got that." (she hands over the cash and sits down to watch)
Booth: "Bones!"
Strawberry Lust: "Relax, she's going to be enjoying this too."
Booth looses his focus whilst Strawberry Lust dances in front if him provocatively. Brennan observes, "You have excellent control of your hips ... she's quite arousing which I imagine turns into excellent tips."
Booth questions Strawberry Lust as Brennan watches and they finally get a lead:
Brennan: "Then tell Miss Lust to get up."
Strawberry Lust: "I think that might be a little embarrassing right now. Huh baby!"
Booth: (to Miss Lust) "That's my gun." (to Brennan) "Give us a minute?"
Brennan: "Okay." (she sits down)
Booth: "Outside?" (pleading)
Brennan: "What's outside?"
Booth: "Can you go outside please?" (embarrassed)
Brennan: "Did we get our sixty dollars worth yet?"

Brennan asks if she can interrogate a suspect, "Please Booth, I'm ready ... really if you can do it I can." Booth asks, "Seriously, you think you can do anything I can?" and Brennan replies, "Not the big, strong, sheerly physical things but otherwise yes!" She is terrible and Booth blames Sweets, "It's all your fault you know!" But he is impressed she found out something important. Over dinner she is puzzled as to what she found out and Booth has to explain to her.

Brennan seems agitated when she tells Angela, "I have been to 74 interrogations with Booth, 42 in the room and 32 observing, I should be able to do it." Angela laughs and explains "What Booth has you can't learn from baby boy shrink ... Booth's brilliant at pretending to be stupider actually is, most of the time ... especially around you ... he knows that you like to be the smart one, so he lets you have that." Brennan asks, "Why would Booth do that?" and even though she states, "You know I am smarter than Booth" she fails to understand Booth's gift. Angela smiles at her friend and suggests, "Maybe you should just let him have the people skills part of the job to himself then?"

At the Founding Fathers B+B split the bill and Brennan seems upset:
Brennan: "You haven't said anything about my interrogation."
Booth: "Okay, you know what (gently) ... you did great. Better than I thought."
Brennan: "I was terrible." (laughs) "Everybody's right. I lack empathy."
Booth: "You got empathy. You're awkward. That's different."
Brennan: "My stuff in Bones. Yours is people."
Booth: "Right, so you're admitting that I'm better at something than you are?" (carefully)
Brennan: "No ... " (they share a look) "Yes. A lot better." (she smiles)
Booth: "Thanks Bones."
B+B go outside and Booth is excited to tell Brennan he has the sports car. Brennan wants to drive it but Booth is concerned:
Booth: "Driving a machine like this is like making love you have to go gently."
Brennan: "I go for passionate and uninhibited rather than gentle."
Booth: Bones, gently. Gentle Bones. Gentle!"
When Brennan drives the car too fast they immediately start to bicker and Booth tells her, "You know what do it without me." but Bones complains, "It's no fun without you."

417. The Salt in the Wounds

B+B find the body of a teenage girl and when speaking with the victims parents Brennan is a little direct> Booth doesn't say anything to her as he seems to sense she understands what she said was too harsh. At the chiropractor Brennan is surprised / impressed when Booth knows the knee damage is jumpers knee. Booth grins when the doctor tells Brennan, "You aren't a real medical doctor either."

B+B question the boys at the high school and Brennan whispers to Booth, "Pregnancy is unlikely without intercourse." Booth considers her for a moment, "Thanks for the tip Bones." They then question the girls and both B+B agree high school girls getting pregnant at a young age is a bad idea and both look shocked when Clinton is found to be the father of four of the children.

Brennan talks to Angela about living in the moment as opposed to looking to the future.

When Booth is unable to get a warrant for the chiropractor Brennan states, "If Booth and I hadn't questioned Dr Fitz we could mount one of our clever undercover operation." She grins at Booth who grins back.

At the bar B+B discuss the case and bicker over the girls choosing to raise their children together without men. Booth says, "Men do not like a world without responsibility." But Brennan reminds him Clinton was fine with that idea. Booth realises she is right and decides to call Clinton and arrange to meet him. Brennan understands "It's a guy guy thing." She watches him leave and later she stands across the street from the diner and watches Booth talking to Clinton and smiles.

418. Dr in the Den

B+B attend the crime scene and Booth tells Brennan he visited the Safari park with Parker and asks if they can visit the monkeys. Booth gives Brennan several facts from Parker's animal book, and when he tells her giraffe sleep only 2 hours a day he is victorious, "Yes! Pinky stumps the Brain."

B+B drive Cam to tell Michelle her father has been killed and Booth tells Brennan, "t’s best that you...stay in the lab a little bit more. Just this time around ... She needs this. Just trust me on this, Bones." Brennan looks unimpressed suggesting she should work in the lab "Because that’s where I’m most useful. I understand. You and Cam can rely on your statistically inaccurate guts to solve the case."

419. The Science in the Physicist

At the crime scene when Brennan tells Booth something is the size of an Australopithecus he reminds her, "Sports terms Bones, remember we talked about this ... soft ball ... good you're getting better." He whispers to Bones, "Would you even wanna guess what happened to this human being ... [NO] .. I knew you'd say that, I just had to ask."

When Hodgins and VNM blow up the lab protective!Booth throws Brennan against the wall. They look at one another and then they grab hands and run out just as the alarms go off the and doors shut.

At the Collar Institute for Physics Research Booth asks Brennan, "Are these people here smarter than you?" It is Dr Collar who answers Booth's question suggesting, "That would depend on how one defines intelligence." Booth realises Dr Collar and Brennan have met before and seems perturbed when Dr Collar touches and flirts with Brennan.

As B+B question students at the institute Booth finds he is somewhat out of his league and tells Brennan, "This one’s all yours." During the questioning Brennan tells Booth, "You wouldn’t understand, Booth." and Booth admits, "This place is making me cranky." As Brennan and Collar continue to be clever Booth tells them, "Oh come on. Don’t look at each other like that. I bet neither one of you know how to make your own beer."

B+B watch Sweets interrogate:
Booth: "In my opinion it's a good thing they didn’t accept you at that place."
Brennan: "Why?"
Booth: "It’s creepy. Everyone there is creepy."
Brennan: "Well if you think they’re creepy then you must think that I’m creepy."
Booth: "Well, you have a creepy mode, Bones."
Booth uses a lot of air quotes before heading in to question the suspect himself.

B+B wear hazmat suits and Booth freaks when Brennan explains why she was touching his spine, "Woah! You're testing me on the cancer chair!? ... No, no, no, no. You don’t just go around doing human testing on people, Bones. I got to go to the bathroom"

When B+B approach the lab door and hears moans from inside Booth pulls out his gun and asks Brennan to get the door. They walk in on a couple having sex and turn to leave as Booth says, "It’s like ClubMed Mensa around here." Booth sits on the floor leaning against the wall as Brennan comes to join him they talk:
Booth: "You know, most people you bust in on having sex with a gun, you know, (he whistles) it kinda disrupts the mood."
Brennan: "Perhaps they decided to start all over again from the beginning." (She leans against the wall and slides down into a sitting position next to Booth. She laughs and Booth looks away, embarrassed) "It’s just sex Booth."
Booth: "It’s not that. Look, I’m not a prude."
Brennan: "Well ... you have what they would call hang ups."
Booth: (looks around to make sure no one is around.) "You know that guy Landis?"
Brennan: "Yes."
Booth: "He’s about to make a move on you."
Brennan: (she shakes her head) "How do you know?"
BOOTH: "Because it is the rational and smart thing to do and he is all about that. I see how he looks at you."
Brennan: "How he looks at me? He’s blind."
Booth: "It’s too literal, Bones. His fiancé was just murdered and he’s already moving on."
Brennan: "Well she’s gone. He has accepted it."
Booth: "Look, good people. They leave marks on each other. The least we could do is let them fade away naturally, not you know, scrape them off, or paint over them with new marks."
Brennan: "So you’re not a prude?"
Booth: (laughs) "Moi? Hey, I am a very fun and (he stands and does a little dance) very sexy guy." (Brennan laughs) "That’s right."
Brennan: (standing) "So you just think that if two people care about each other they leave metaphorical marks which should be allowed to fade naturally?"
Booth: "You heard me but you just didn’t understand me."
Brennan: "Yeah, I wonder that about you call the time." (Booth looks at her quizzically)

In Booth's car he again impresses Brennan with his understanding from the institute and he admits, "Yeah, well I’ve learned a lot from you. And a lot from watching the Discovery Channel with Parker." When B+B get trapped inside the high pressure chamber Brennan tells Booth, "We have to get out of here. (scared) Booth, what we have to do here is we have to try to counter ... counteract the wavelengths." They begin making high pitched squeeling noises but both collapse to the floor. Brennan passes out but Booth manages to shoot the glass. As he passes out alongside Brennan we see his hand is on Brennan's thigh underneath her hand. After they are found by Dr Collar both shout at one another as Brennan tries to rouse Booth.

In the interrogation room Booth is proven right when Dr Collar asks Brennan for her phone number. She refuses his offer. And when Dr Collar accidentally punches Agent Booth, Brennan is concerned and touches Booth's face asking, "Are you okay>" Booth tells her he's alright and admits, "You know you’re the only smart person I really like."

At the Founding Fathers B+B talk about the case:
Booth: "I didn’t mean to call you creepy."
Brennan: "You said I have a creepy mode."
Booth: "I apologize. Okay, look, I wasn’t in my element."
Brennan: "What? Every element is your element."
Booth: "No, that is not true. Okay, listen. (he pauses) We just got to stop hanging out with geniuses because you’re going to figure out that I’m really stupid. "
Brennan: "What? Don’t worry about that. I figured out a long time ago how stupid you are."
Booth: (thinks about that for a sec) "Hmmm."
Brennan: "What I just said is true and yet it really sounded wrong. What I should say is I don’t care how stupid you are." (Booth doesn’t say anything) "It’s not any better?"
Booth: "No. No. Not at all." (squints arrives)
Brennan: "..... But then there’s another quality which is the ability to use intelligence. That is what you have."
Booth: (he thinks about that and then smiles) "Thanks, Bones."
They have a moment where they just look at one another.

420. Cinderella in the Cardboard

Booth tells Brennan, "Miracles do happen." at the crime scene but Brennan proves it is a murder and not the Virgin Mary.

B+B bicker in front of the plastic surgeon in Booth's office and he assumes they are seeing each other:
Brennan: "Self mutilation for an antiquated ritual .. it's barbaric."
Booth: "Well come on, marriage is very important to a lot of people Bones."
Brennan: "It's ridiculous. No-one can guarantee how they're going to feel about some one for life. We're not a monogamous species."
Booth: "Marriage has been around since the beginning of time."
Brennan: "Women from Amazonian tribes express their love by spitting in their partners faces I hope we've progressed past that."
Booth: "Okay well, you know what, sometimes love trumps logic." (Booth gets up and leans towards Brennan)
Brennan: "Love ..." (she leaves forward towards Booth) "... is a chemical process which causes delusion. An intellectually rigorous person would never get married."
Booth: "Never say never."
Brennan: "That's a paradox it makes no sense!"
Doctor: "Am I still needed here?" (both turn towards the man) "Because if you two are having relationship issues I can .... "
Brennan: "We're not a couple."
Booth: "We just, work together, that's all." (Both move apart glancing at one another)

When B+B visit the bridal shop Booth has his hand on Brennan's back as they enter and as they walk through the shop his arm is almost around her. The manager tells them, "You two are obviously meant for each other." B+B look at one another and Brennan laughs and says, "No." After questioning the manager Booth picks up a dress and says, "Oh come on Bones. You must have dreamt about being a bride before your heart turned to stone." But Brennan is offended, telling Booth, "Just because I don't wanna take part in a meaningless ritual doesn't mean I'm not a warm and affectionate person. There are even children who have taken to me." She tilts her head and looks at Booth who raises his eye brows. When Booth notices Daisy trying on a dress he does put his arm around Bones and turns her away from Daisy so they are not seen. One arm over her shoulder he places his other hand on the shoulder closet to him so he is holding her. When offered a veil Brennan embarrasses Booth by saying, "Well it's a symbol of virginity and I've been sexually active since I was ... "

At the FBI B+B discuss their new found knowledge that Daisy is (they assume) cheating on her fiancée with Sweets. Brennan wants to tell Sweets but Booth disagrees:
Brennan: "A woman buys a wedding dress to get married Booth, you know if you're such a strict adherer to monogamy then shouldn't you tell Sweets that he's being cuckolded?"
Booth: "No, listen Bones, there are complicated emotions that are involved here and it's definitely not your thing."
Brennan: "It's a matter of honesty."
Booth: "Bones, just trust me on this one alright, it's none of our business. It's none of our business."
Sweets enters asking what's none of their business and Booth pushes Brennan away and takes her coffee cup handing it to Sweets.

At lunch B+B talk about the case and Booth brings up the fact Brennan said she won't ever get married:
Brennan: "You're usually quite certain."
Booth: "No Bones, that would be you. (repeats her words) I'm never getting married."
Brennan: "You've never been married."
Booth: "Well I will."
Brennan: "That's impossible to know."
Booth: "You know what, obviously you have issues with this so next time when we see Sweets you should bring it up."
Brennan: "Sweets is having an affair with a women whose engaged. He's hardly one to give advice."
Booth: "You know what, you're scared. That's what it is! You are scared of love."
Sweets and Daisy enter and when Booth fears Brennan will reveal something regarding Daisy's affair he lifts her from her seat by her shoulders and pushes her from the bar - leaving without lunch.

Back at the lab Brennan tells Angela Booth won't let her tell Sweets about Daisy and Angela agrees with Booth.

When B+B enter the club it is Brennan who grabs onto Booth's arm as they walk through the crowd. As they search the back alley Brennan calls Booth over and places the orange safety glasses on Booth so he can see the blood.

Brennan goes to Booth's office to confess she has told Sweets about Daisy and Booth screws up his face and asks, "Why d'ya have to tell Sweets? He's gonna come in here, he's gonna cry and stuff." He does - asking Brennan to leave and Booth doesn't offer a guy hug to Sweets, "They don't hug things out .. they just, you know slug on the arm. It's the more manly thing to do." Guy hug?

At the FBI B+B discuss the case. Brennan turns the topic back to Sweets telling Booth that Cam agreed with him that she should have kept quiet:
Brennan: "I don't understand. Our lives are devoted to pursuit of truth."
Booth: "Look Bones you can't go around telling everyone what's on your mind even though it's the truth, okay? Look what if you and I were going out? Okay." (Brennan considers him briefly) "And you were taking forever to get ready and you came out in this dress and I told you I didn't like it. What are you going to do?"
Brennan: "I'd re-evaluate, change or ignore you."
Booth: "Of course you would Bones. Good answer."

Brennan arrives unexpectedly at Booth's apartment, knocking and calling to him:
Brennan: "I should have called."
Booth: "What .. no, are you kidding me?"
Brennan: "I saw Sweets and Daisy and I was wrong she wasn't cheating on him."
Booth: "That's a good thing right."
Brennan: "Well, I wanted to spare him pain but all I did was cause it." (she sits down on Booth's sofa)
Booth: "You meant well."
Brennan: "I made him so jealous I almost ruined their relationship. I should have listened to you."
Booth: "Maybe next time you will. Hey, I was just gonna go out and grab a bite to eat, some Chinese maybe some .. "
Brennan: "I'd rather drink. Do you want one?" (She gets up and walks to the sideboard returning with a bottle and a glass)
Booth: "Yes. We could do that. My ... good bottle of Scotch. Bottoms up Bones." (She pours Booth a glass and sits back down with the bottle)
Brennan: "You know intellectually I know that jealousy is absurd. But I see that its real for people." (pauses) "I even experience it myself." (She looks to Booth who walks over to her and settles next to her)
Booth: "So, erm, (softly) who are you jealous of?"
Brennan: "Angela ... Hodgins ... Cam ... you?"
Booth: "Why?"
Brennan: "Because you all want to loose yourself in another person. You believe that love is transcendent and eternal." (pauses and looks at Booth) "I wanna believe that too."
Booth: "Hey, you will (he sits next to her) I promise, some day, you will. You will. Some day. Okay." (they toast) "You will"

421. Mayhem on the Cross

Gordon Gordon visits Booth at the FBI and tells him Sweets is writing a book about B+B. When GG and Sweets meet GG says that in reading Sweets' books it appears they realise they have differing opinions on B+B:
Sweets: "Okay, now I'm hearing a caveat."
GG: "It's a small one. It's just that, Brennan and Booth, aren't in any way opposites."
Sweets: "Wow. Small. What is that? British understatement?"
GG: "Well, yes. He's a man and she's a woman. He's instinctual, she's empirical."
Sweets: "Opposites."
GG: "Superficial ephemera, Dr Sweets."
Sweets: "Ok, what about the sexual component in their relationship?"
GG: "Ah!"
Sweets: "Would you agree that they have both sublimated their attraction to each other out of fear of endangering their working relationship because their working relationship is paramount to both of them?"
GG: "Alas, I'm afraid I wouldn't agree with that no."
Sweets: "Wow. Which part?"
GG: "Well everything you just said. Yes, one of them is acutely aware of that attraction and struggles with it daily as a matter of fact."
Sweets: "Wow. I'm sorry to keep saying that. Which one?"
GG: "It's your book Dr Sweets. I would never tell you what to write."

During lunch at the diner Sweets tells B+B he asked GG to write the introduction to the book he has written about them but that he refused and is retiring. When Booth takes a call from Cam he tells Brennan, "Just figure out cause of death for me okay?"

B+B take GG to see the death metal band and when the band won't stop playing Booth fires his gun causing GG to remind him, "If you recall it was shooting inanimate objects that had you brought to me for therapy in the first place." B+B agree it was a justifiable shooting. Booth gets Brennan to wear an ear plug for the following interrogation he can't attend (desk duty!) and he secretly watches on a laptop and gives Brennan advice and interrogation tips.

When Brennan goes alone to a gig Booth tells her, Listen Bones, I don't want you there alone okay." When she asks Booth to call an ambulance he refuses to hang up and she has to hang up on him.

Booth again coaches Brennan in her interrogation form his desk and this time she acts all tough guy. Booth loves it, "Atta girl! Give it to him!"

B+B have lunch at the diner with GG and he gives Booth his gun back causing Brennan to ask, "So Booth is back?" They discuss the case but the topic turns to Sweets and his book about B+B. GG suggests that it reveals more about Sweets than about B+B causing Brennan to share with Booth and GG that she saw scars on Sweets' back:
GG: "He finds it extremely frustrating, your lack of willingness to discuss your childhood experiences with him."
Brennan: "What does that tell you?"
Booth: "No, don't ask him that. He's going to think we both had traumatic childhood."
Brennan: "We did. Your father was a violent drunk and mine abandoned me."
Booth: "Great (clapping) Just tell everyone at the diner won;t you Bones."

In Brennan's office B+B talk with both shrinks and GG points at Booth saying, "He does that doesn't her, he wants to be underestimated?"

B+B get the murderer to confess and during the investigation Brennan whispers in Booth's ear to explain the Milton reference GG gave.

At Booth's apartment as GG cooks for B+B he tells them Sweets wants a family and Brennan asks, "So Sweets has imprinted on us? Like a baby duck?" GG suggests, "You might just show the lad he's not the only one with scars on his back" and so Booth leads Brennan out to go "duck hunting." They enter Sweets office and Booth invites Sweets to dinner. When he tries to refuse saying he's busy Brennan immediately shocks both men:
Brennan: "My foster parents locked me in the trunk of a car for two days when I broke a dish. (Booth looks shocked) I was a very clumsy child. They warned me it would happen but the water was so hot and the soap was so slippery (she looks at Booth who is almost in tears watching her) I still don't think it was fair even though they give me fair warning. The water was so hot."
Sweets: "No, it wasn't fair at all. It wasn't your fault."
Booth: "Bones (whispering) What are you doing?" (Booth hands Brennan his handkerchief)
Brennan: "You said that scars on the back was a metaphor. Isn't that why we're here? To metaphorically compare scars?"
Booth: "I came to bring Sweets back to my place for dinner. That's all." (Brennan takes the handkerchief)
Sweets: "Scars on the back?"
Brennan: "I saw them, Sweets."
Sweets: "So, what, you decided to just share something from your past? That is so unlike you."
Brennan: "I still hate psychology. (she turns to Booth) Okay, your turn. Go."
Booth: "I came here to bring Sweets back to my place for dinner. That's all"
Brennan tilts he head and her eyes plead with Booth who submits and speaks looking Brennan in the eye throughout)
Booth: "Okay, if it wasn't for my grandfather I probably would have killed myself when I was kid" (he turns to Sweets) "But that's all I'm gonna say on the subject matter, you understand? (He turns back to Brennan who returns his look) "Are you okay, Bones?"
Brennan: "Yeah, I'm fine. Here."
She folds up Booth's handkerchief and places it back in his jacket pocket, holding it briefly in place with her hand. Just as she removes her hand Booth places his hand over the handkerchief and raises his eyes to look at Bones. They share a quiet moment and then both turn to find Sweets smiling at them.
Brennan: "Why are you nodding?"
Sweets: "Nothing. Just, Wyatt made an observation about you two and I think I just saw what he saw."
To avoid hearing anything further Booth suggests they leave and B+B lead Sweets from his office.

422. Double Death of the Dearly Departed

Booth drives Brennan, Cam and Hodgins to the funeral of a guy from the Jeff' and as B+B talk in the car, Cam and Hodgins grin in the back seat:
Brennan: ""They say cause of death was heart failure resulting from a congenital defect."
Booth: "You're not gonna talk like that when we get there right?"
Brennan: "Like what?"
Booth: "It's a wake Bones, it's not a crime scene. (removes his sunglasses) You know, I'm sorry for your loss. How are you holding up. Stuff like that."
Brennan: "I know."

Booth immediately has to whisper to remind her "I'm sorry for your loss" when the brother of the deceased says hello. Booth tells Brennan to pay her respects, shoving her towards the coffin but when she lingers too long he joins her to pull her away, "You really suck at this ... you are staring way too long at this guy." Brennan tells Booth the guy was murdered and he sends her outside following her with whisky suggesting, "Code word for murder, I want you to say translation." As they discuss the 'translation' Booth puts his arm around Brennan and walks with her asking, "Bones, is there any chance you just feel bad for not knowing this guy like the rest of us did so now you're just making it about you and saying he was translated instead of dying of natural causes." She says no and explains her evidence causing Booth to be disgusted when Brennan admits she touched the body. He tells her drink up will you ... cause I'm hoping you're going to pass out!" but eventually agrees to try for an injunction and send Bones inside telling her, "Put on a sad face." Booth then downs his drink and makes the call.

Booth finds Brennan messing with the body and tells her he didn't get the injunction. She tells him to guard the door and he tries to pull her away but Cam enters and they explain the guy was possibly murdered. B+B then find the funeral guy having sex with the widow and Brennan does her hand sex gesture to Booth. After questioning the guy Brennan obviously convinces Booth to steal the body because during Hodgins' speech they steal the body with Cam's help.

When Brennan returns and tells Booth, Jack and Angela about the murder she corrects Booth twice when he mis quotes a chemical component. They handcuff the embalmer to the coffin and Booth asks Brennan to suggest what he should say to people who want to see the (now absent body) telling her what she came up with is, "Perfect .. it's so gross!"

In order to speak with a suspect Booth asks Brennan, "Can you get lost? ... I can be devastatingly charming if you aren't watching me." He then suggests she be the one to question the victim's brother:
Brennan: "Is it because I'm an attractive and sexy young woman who will loosen his tongue?"
Booth: "Well, definitely, of course there's that. But also, he wants you to publish his book."

In the SUV when Brennan asks, "What about the lawyer" Booth smiles smugly saying, "She seemed very nice." and Brennan considers him for a moment before he changes the subject. Brennan is then surprised Booth knows Cam smokes. Bones also proves herself, "a genius Bones, an absolute genius" when she comes up with a way to catch the murderer.

At the graveyard Booth links arms with Brennan and as they walk together he tells her:
Booth: "Look if I die, I want you to do me a favour."
Brennan: "Well you will die Booth. It's inevitable."
Booth: "Alright. Whatever Bones. When I inevitably drop dead before you I'd like you to come out and, you know, spend some time and talk to me every once in a while."
Brennan: "I'll feel foolish knowing that you can't hear me."
Booth: "Promise me." (he stops walking and looks at her, eyes pleading and raises his eyebrows)
Brennan: "I promise."
Booth: "Hey, there you go huh. You agreed. I didn't think you would agree. Now, why did you agree?"
Brennan: "I believe that if I pretended you were still here I'd feel better for a moment. Also, speaking to you would require me to figuratively look at myself through your eyes, again temporarily, and I think that would make me live my life more successfully."
Booth: "Hmmm. You know Bones ... (he puts his arms around her her) ... that is the best thing, that anyone has ever said about me."
Brennan: "I'll say it at your wake"
Booth: "Oh, it's raining now come on (he opens the umbrella) get under the umbrella it's raining. Just make sure that when they put me in the ground I'm dead." (he puts his arm around her again)
Brennan: "Yeah, no problem."

423. The Girl in the Mask

At the diner Brennan seems to be considering which of her grad students to hire telling Booth, "I've decided to take your opinion into account as I make this decision." Booth smiles and seems happy she is considering his opinion, even though he tells her to hire Vincent because she thinks he is intelligent, "that's what you like, so you should hire him. I mean, this person's going to be your right-hand man."

Booth gets a call from his friend in Japan and he tells Brennan about Nak and his missing sister. She asks, "When were you in Japan?" and Booth explains "A few years ago on an exchange program with the Tokyo police." B+B drive to the crime scene and Brennan wades into the water causing Booth to get a little concerned, "Okay, whoa, whoa, whoa, Bones, what we usually do here is wait for people in rubber boots ... Okay, Bones, come on, get out of there. Let's go."

At the Jeff' Booth introduces Brennan to Nak and asks Brennan to work the case with Dr Tanaka. Even though it "is against protocol" she agrees and as Tanaka watches the squints examine the body Booth asks "Bones could you just jump ahead and ID the victim?"

Brennan later learns more about Booth and his time in Japan from Nak, "Most of the FBI agents showed up and started telling us how to handle our organized crime problem. Booth said nothing. Two, three days, just listening." Brennan chuckles at this, "He was quiet? That that does not sound like Booth." Nak explains Booth was "respectful" and tells Brennan, "You are a lucky woman Dr Brennan." Brennan considers this and answers, "To work with Booth? Yes, I know." She smiles and Nak seems to qualify his meaning, "To work with Booth .. yes."

When B+B question James Sok, Booth tells him, "You're a pimp. I don't like pimps." Brennan warns Sok, "He really doesn't." and when Booth squares up to Sok Brennan steps in to takes Booth's arm and pull him away, "Booth, come on." They later question Vogler during a massage and Booth has to explain it's "Not that type of massage ... "

In her office Brennan shares her background with Nak and admits, "it would've been nice to have had a brother like you." She tells him the phone records indicate Nak and his sister talked often and suggests "objectively speaking, it would indicate a, an irrefutable desire to connect. A deep and abiding love ... I myself have no one in my life whom I talk to that much. Outside of work, I mean." Brennan then surprises Nak in saying, "Perhaps that is good ... I can see how much pain you're in ... " She then asks "Is it worth it? To have your own happiness so contingent upon another human being?" Nak explains simply, "If I was willing to give up my life for Sachi ... why would I not be willing to risk my happiness for her?"

Booth refuses to say water feature in the car, "I'll say pond or pool." When he tells Nak to stay at the Jeff' Brennan questions him and Booth explains:
Booth: "The man's in big pain, Bones. Makes it hard for him to hear ... "
Brennan: "I've never heard of grief affecting auditory acuteness."
Booth: "Medical fact. Look it up."

In interrogation Brennan watches as Booth gets very angry with the suspect. His confession leads to an arrest and after the case B+B discuss the case at Booth's apartment. Booth makes a banana split for Brennan and spoon feeds her making aeroplane noises. Brennan however asks for alcohol and Booth finally relents and opens beer. She asks Booth, "Will he recover? Your friend Ken? ... People die. There's a fault in the design if we can't recover from it." Booth explains "we aren't sent anything that we can't handle." and seemingly thinking back to her conversation with Nak Brennan continues to question love:
Brennan: "I'm not convinced that loving someone is worth it."
Booth: "I got a son, and it's worth it."
Brennan: "Even if he died?"
Booth: "Whoa. Bones, don't even say anything like that. Don't even put that out there. It is worth it, and everything around it is worth it. Every moment, everything ... is worth it."

424. The Beaver in the Otter

At the crime scene Booth proudly tells Brennan "You know, Bones, when I was in College, my fraternity, we stole a cadaver, dressed it up like Caesar and put it on a statue of a horse " She appears unimpressed.

Brennan calls Booth whilst he is with Jared and they agree to meet at the college campus where they question students. When questioning the frat boys Booth chooses to take Sweets instead of Brennan, reporting back in with her at her office where Booth tells her:
Booth: "Look, these kids, they go out into the world, they’re alone, they have no supervision, they have to be bad just in order to figure out what it is, you know. Scientific fact, their frontal lobes are the size of raisins"
Brennan: "No, that is not a scientific fact."
Booth: "What they gotta do is build their frontal lobes, with exercise, okay and that comes from doing the wrong thing."
Sweets: "Ok, so your theory is, you gotta be bad to be good?"
Booth: "Exactly, facts of life, my friend."

When Brennan decides they should collect DNA from the frat boys sheets Booth takes her and they walk in on a "toga memorial" When all the boys take off the sheets and stand naked Booth grins and leaves Brennan to it and goes to meet Jared. Back in Beaver's room Booth complains to Brennan about Jared and trying to be helpful she suggests, "I can provide you with several societies where younger brothers are required under pry of death to do what their older brothers tell them."

Booth cringes as Brennan questions the chemistry professor and asks Brennan if she approves when realising, "Professor Twardosh took revenge against unethical students who had no respects for knowledge." Booth admits, "Look, your college’s experience was with professors, with was with students and jocks."

When they discover Beaver was not having a relationship with the professor Booth states, "Okay, did anyone think that? Honestly? Because I did not." Brennan explains to Cam and Angela, "Booth believes that the cringe factor was too high, even though cringe factor is not a valid mathematical construct. " When the meeting ends Booth gets up to leave:
Brennan: "What are you going to do?"
Booth: "Uh, something personal."
Brennan: "What?"
Booth: "Personal! Personal means personal, you know, not for the public." (he leaves)
Brennan: "Uh ... (turns to Cam and Ang) ... I’m not the public!"

Jared asks Booth to join him on his trip to India and Booth tells Brennan in the SUV:
Brennan: "Are you going?"
Booth: "We don’t like each other. "
Brennan: "So ... not going?"
Booth: "I mean, he’s my brother, so I love him."
Brennan: "I’m confused, you are going?"
Booth: "I mean, Jared should not go to India alone, he’ll get in all kinds of trouble."
Brennan: "You said he’s never been alone."
Booth: "Exactly, you know what? He’ll get eaten alive"
Brennan: "If you go with him, then he won’t be alone, you won’t let him be bad and his frontal lobe will always be the size of a raison, that’s what you said. Makes no scientific sense."
Booth: "Yea, I said that (he nods) ... got it"

At the Jeff' Arastoo admits to Booth, "Dr. Brennan said to be especially polite with out when the science is difficult." causing Booth to get annoyed, "How stupid do you people think I am?""

Case over Booth meets Jared and, telling him to go alone to India, hands him a St Christopher medal (which may or may not be their grandfathers). He joins Brennan who asks, "So, uh, do you ... do you really think you have to be bad to be good? ... Well, I’ve never done anything bad ... I don’t want my frontal lobe to be a dried up raisin." Booth tells her "I believe you." and to help her do something bad suggests they "dine and dash" Squealing with delight Brennan runs from the bar and Booth chases after her, leaving the money on the bar. He grabs her arm and they jump in the car.

425. The Critic in the Cabernet

In therapy Sweets asks B+B to play a word game, to "respond with whatever word or phrase pops into your head". And so B+B play "Hunger ... sex ... woah ... horse ... cowboy ... child ... baby ... booth ... father ... mother ... birth ... happy ... sperm ... egg ...I want a baby!" Yup, just like that Brennan decides she wants a baby. Booth is surprised, so is Sweets, especially when she suggests to Booth, " You’d be a very good donor, potentially." They leave therapy without further discussion when they get a new case.

At the vineyard B+B discuss her decision:
Brennan: "You’re the one who’s always touting parenthood, implying that my life is incomplete because I don’t have a child."
Booth: "I know, but this is kind of sudden."
Brennan: "Hmm, perhaps you don’t want to help me."
Booth: "Of course I do."
Brennan: "So you’ll do it?"
Booth: " I’ll think about it."
Brennan: "What? I don’t understand. It’s a simple request. I’m sure you engage in masturba…"
Booth: "Whoa."
Brennan: "Horse."
Booth: "Enough. Okay, we’ll talk about it later."
Brennan: "Well, I’m not asking for you to be involved. All I want is your sperm."
Booth laughs this off as FBI guy Marcus hears their discussion and Booth obviously wants it kept private.

Back at the Jeff' Brennan announces over the bones that she plans to have a baby with Booth. The squints are shocked and Fisher offers his sperm in case Booth says no. A stunned Angela follows Brennan to her office to discuss her announcement:
Angela: "Brennan… this is crazy."
Brennan: "Why? I’m intellectually gifted, financially secure. Statistically I could expect to have an exceptional child."
Angela: "Fine. Yes. Absolutely. But you do know how this is supposed to work, right? You get naked together. You devour each other in a passionate frenzy."
Brennan: "Booth would think that would create an emotional bond between us."
Angela: "Of course that’s ridiculous."
Brennan: "I knew you’d understand."
Angela: "Then why use Booth at all? Why don’t you use Fisher and his discount sperm?"
Brennan: "No, Booth has a larger mandible and a more prominent zygomatic than Fisher, as well as a more pronounced ratio between the width of his clavicles and his ilia."
Angela: "So, it’s because Booth is hot. Now we’re getting somewhere."
Brennan: "Statistically, attractive people are more successful. I’m only thinking of the child, Angela."Then do this right, sweetie."
Brennan: "I am. Emotional ties are ephemeral and undependable. Look at you and Hodgins. You and Roxy. Booth and Rebecca. Booth and Cam."
Angela: "Brennan, I ..."
Brennan: "I appreciate your concern, but I have thought this through rationally."

As Angela talks to Brennan, Cam visits the FBI to talk to Booth:
Cam: "I know you, Seeley. You’re going to do it. You want to do it without really doing it. But it’s still doing it even if you’re not doing it the way it should be done."
Booth: "She wants a kid, okay? It’ll make her more personable with people."
Cam: "And what will it do for you?"
Booth: "She’ll get what she wanted."
Cam: " A piece of you?"

As B+B continue with the case they learn Holt’s wife was pregnant when he disappeared and this leads them to discuss single motherhood and brings them back to Brennan:
Booth: "Uh, you know, if we go, uh, through with this, and I’m around, and if you need help…"
Brennan: "Well, I’ll have a nanny."
Booth: (awkward) "I—I figured. But, you know, if it’s her day off."
Brennan: "You don’t have faith that I can do it?"
Booth: "What?"
Brennan: "You think I’d be a good mother, don’t you?"
Booth: "Yeah, of course."
Brennan: "I know sometimes you don’t think I’m empathetic. And it can be difficult for me sometimes. But I would love my child, Booth, I would."
Booth: "I know. I—I know that, Bones."
Brennan: "I know people disapprove. If you’re uncomfortable, Fisher sells his sperm monthly, he’s very intelligent and ..."
Booth: "Oh, Fisher? Fi—Oh, no, you are not having Fisher’s kids. You’d be giving birth to the spawn of Satan, okay? I’ll do it."
Brennan: "No obligation. I don’t want you to feel any obligation."
Booth: "I’ll do it. Don’t worry about it, okay? It’s your kid, it’s totally yours."

They question Jenny and Brennan helps with the baby, swinging her back and forth she says, "You like spatial disorientation, don’t you? Yes, you do." Back in the SUV Brennan continues the baby discussion with Booth:
Brennan: "Would you like legal protection?"
Booth: "No, I—I don’t need legal protection."
Brennan: "Okay. I’ve made an appointment for you at the fertility clinic. They will check your semen for motility, morphology, sperm count."
Booth: "Woah! My boys can swim, alright? I have a child, do you remember?"
Brennan: "This isn’t personal. I—I’d be remiss if I didn’t look at an analysis of your semen. It’s a very simple process. You just go to the clinic, give a sample. It takes five minutes. They have pornography, if you need stimulus."
Booth: (embarrassed) "I get it ... You really liked holding that kid, didn’t you?"
Brennan: "Yeah. I’ve been thinking about how exciting it will be to expose my own child to early pattern recognition."
Booth: "Yeah. I’ve been thinking about how exciting it will be to expose my own child to early pattern recognition."
Brennan: "Yeah, of course. I will make a diverse schedule."

When Booth's goes to the clinic he is somewhat nervous and he sees Stewie from Family Guy in the TV screen. Stewie asks Booth why he is doing this for Brennan and suggests, "You’ve got a hot doctor friend. Go to her and make a direct deposit like a man." Back in his FBI office Booth asks Sweets about what he saw - indirectly - and Sweets tells him, "Sometimes donors can feel an emotional attachment, even if they don’t know the recipient. But in this case, since you and Dr. Brennan are ...." Booth is extremely agitated and paces around his office.

Whilst questioning Kim Mortenson Brennan explains to Booth "Research shows that babies strongly resemble their fathers in the first year of life" and Booth is surprised realising, "does that mean that your kid will look like me, at least for the first year?"

It is in therapy that Brennan shares the news, "I have an appointment with a fertility specialist next week. I could be inseminated within a month." Booth is shocked and stays quiet allowing Sweets to ask Brennan some questions about how the baby will impact on their relationship. Sweets also tries to get Brennan to admit why she choose Booth:
Sweets: "I think you need to acknowledge that there are some emotional considerations that you might be denying. There are sperm banks that guarantee high IQs and exceptional physical prowess, yet you specifically chose Agent Booth. Why?"
Brennan: "He has traits like courage and compassion and empathy that would be tremendous assets to my child. Sperm banks don’t catalogue those traits."
Sweets ends up getting annoyed with his patients and asks, "How can you two not see what is going on here?" When he tells Brennan about Booth's anxiety at the clinic Booth's gets angry but Sweets holds firm stating, "In my position, I could make an evaluation that states that you two are not suited to work together because of interpersonal issues that are not being dealt with."

Angela makes another attempt to talk to Brennan, telling her friend, "Did you ever think, what if Booth is the perfect father for your child? Not just his stuff, but him. What if you’re throwing away the chance to have a family, a real family, because you’re scared? ... Listen, you just said you wanted to do this alone because feelings are ephemeral. So is life, Brennan. We’re here one minute, and then we’re gone the next. You should know that better than anybody. If you keep living trying to protect yourself, nothing is ever gonna touch you."

When Booth sees Stewie again in the interrogation room he confesses to Brennan, "I can’t do it. Listen, I have to be involved. If I’m the father, then I have to be a father." Brennan tells him to forget about having a baby and demands they go to the hospital. Once there she learns Booth has a brain tumour and tells the squints.

As Booth is prepared for surgery he looks for Brennan and when he finally sees her through the glass he breaks into a smile. She enters his room and he asks her, "Would you come in there with me, to the operating room? ... you’re a genius. That’s good enough for me. Plus, you’ll know if they’re screwing up." As Brennan walks alongside his bed towards theatre Booth asks for a moment with her and tells her, "Bones, if I don’t make it ... I want you to have my stuff. You know, for a kid ... I want you to. You’re gonna be a really good mom." He takes her hand and they enter the operating room.

426. The End in the Beginning

Brennan enters a bedroom and undresses before climbing into bed with Booth. Leaning over him and smiling she asks:
Brennan: "Do you love me?
Booth: "Yeah. Do you want me to prove it to you?"
Brennan: "Mmm, if you’re not too sleepy ... "
And they kiss and begin to make love.

But then it is morning and they are awakened by Cam and Jared (both cops) and told a body has been found at their nightclub. Cam suggests Brennan is having an affair and also suggests Jared wants a crack at Brennan. Brennan later tells Cam, "I had a very satisfying go-around with my husband at about 5 this morning, how about you?" After Cam calls Brennan "a cold fish" Booth makes her giggle saying, "what you are is Iceland. Cold to the touch, but underneath you’re all volcano." And when Booth uses logic on Brennan she calls him "sweet".

B+B have lunch with Max (a councillor) and Brennan says of Booth, "he wants me to be proud of him." and as the case progresses B+B discuss the murder:
Booth: "Why are all of our employees holding out on the cops?"
Brennan: "They love us. Especially you."
They discuss the fact everyone thinks Booth did it as they get dressed - Brennan fixing Booth's tie and kissing him. As B+B stand on the balcony they discuss the case again:
Brennan: "did the police try to convince you that I was having an affair with Arastoo?"
Booth: "It’s what they do, you know, drive wedges."
Brennan: "It wouldn’t be irrational to think that I was having an affair with him. He’s very handsome."
Booth: "Yeah, I’d feel if the energy was bad between the two us, I’d know. The same way that you would know that I couldn’t murder someone."
Brennan: "I do believe that you would murder someone for me. And I believe that you’d lie about it so I wouldn’t have to carry that burden."
Booth smiles and B+B walk towards their office where both admit they know who committed the murder:
Brennan: "You would kill for me, I know that, but whoever did this knocked him out, got my coat, before executing him. You would never do that. Jared is different."
Booth: "My brother killed a man to save my wife."
They head out back where Brennan convinces Jared to turn himself in.

Hodgins: "You love someone, you open yourself up to suffering; that’s the sad truth. Maybe they’ll break your heart; maybe you’ll break their heart and never be able to look at yourself in the same way. Those are the risks " (this is also typed by Brennan)

"Hodgins: "You see two people and think they belong together, but nothing happens ..." (this is not in Brennan's typed words)

B+B relax in their office after the case is wrapped up and discuss how a lack of evidence may allow Jared to walk free. Brennan (Bren) sits down in Booth's (Mr B) lap and tells him:
Brennan: "Well, you know that glass of wine that we share every night? ... I have to stop that."
Booth: "Oh c’mon, Bren. Just because you have one glass of wine every night with your husband, doesn’t mean you’re an alcoholic."
Brennan: "That’s not why."
Booth: "No way!"
Brennan: "Yeah." (they kiss)
Booth: "You are pregnant! There’s a little baby boy, huh?" (he touches her belly)
Brennan: "Or girl…"
They lean toward one another, resting forehead against forehead and smile as they bring their arms around one another.

Hodgins "The thought of losing so much control over personal happiness is unbearable." (this is not typed by Brennan)

Brennan sits typing at Booth's bedside ...

Brennan and Hodgins: "That’s the burden. Like wings, they have weight, we feel that weight on out backs, but they are a burden that lifts us. Burdens that ... allow us to fly." Brennan hits the delete key and Booth awakens telling her he had a "weird dream ... it was so real." Looking at Brennan, Booth asks, "Who are you?"

401. Yanks in the UK

Booth sleeps as Brennan gives a speech at Oxford University, telling her students, "Agent Booth is the intuitive humanist while I am the logical empiricist although recently I have seen how destructive pure logic can be." Wexler invites Brennan and "your cowboy" to the crime scene and Booth stands beside Brennan declaring, "Bones and I are the best crime-solving team in America." Next morning Booth complains about his hotel breakfast and the tea.

When Wexler propositions Brennan later she tells him, "Booth says I shouldn't trust you ... he says you like to rack 'em up ... Booth is very good at reading people." She goes out on a date with Wexler but the next morning informs Booth that she did not sleep with him. Booth is agitated as he tries to drive the mini:
Booth: "I'm not agitated because of you and Dr. Wexler. Wexler's just another guy looking for a one-night stand. So, he doesn't take it seriously."
Brennan: "Seriously? What do you mean? You never laugh during sex? Because I do. Whoa, do you see that lorry? "
Booth: "I see that lorry. It's a truck, okay? We're an American, and that is a truck. I laugh during sex. It's just, it's not that kind of serious."
Brennan: "Well, I think Dr. Wexler is serious about having sex with me. Very interested."
Booth: "Okay, news bulletin for ya, Bones. There's not a guy in this country who wouldn't want to have sex with you. Probably half the gay men...whoa, easy."
Brennan: " Are you being nice about me or awful about British men?"
Booth: "Wexler is not special; you are."
Brennan: "You think I'm special?"
Booth: "Of course I think that you're special, yes."
Cam hears part of this conversation as she calls in the middle of it.

When B+B return to the Bonham estate Booth takes out his gun and Brennan asks for one:
Brennan: "I want a gun. I'm a very good shot and I - I've killed before. It didn't bother me as much as I thought."
Booth: "Well, it bothered you a little."
Brennan: "Well, yes, but not as much as I thought."

Case closed and Wexler makes another play for Brennan who tells him, "It would upset Booth if I slept with you ... Common sense says you don't offend your partner for an hour of fun." Booth watches looking sorry for himself and when Brennan returns to him says, "Why are you looking at me like that - I'm just here to help you pick out a guy, you know?"

402. Yanks in the UK

B+B load up the taxi with gifts and luggage and Booth continues to talk about Wexler saying he is "Busy trying to get you into bed for the past two weeks. The least he can do is call ... I gotta tell you, a guy who doesn’t wanna talk to you just because you decide not to have sex with him, he can’t be that great." They discuss royalty as Booth asks Brennan, "What, you never wanted to be a princess when you were a kid? ... I wonder if I can get Congress to pass something like a knighthood ... “Sir Seeley Booth.” It just sounds right." She explains, " I get my worth from my intelligence and accomplishments. From actual achievements. I don’t need a title."

B+B are called to a crime scene where it appears Wexler is dead. As Brennan heads to his apartment Booth stops her for a second and concerned asks, "Are you ready for this?" Pritchard asks B+B to help with the case and when she gets shirty with Booth Brennan defends him but Booth tells her "Bones, it’s okay."

Booth tells Brennan that Pritchard is "having a tough time with this. I would, too you know, if you were killed." Brennan simply tells Booth, "Oh yeah, you’re sentimental that way." When B+B discover Pritchard had sex with Wexler she asks Brennan:
Pritchard: "So why didn’t you sleep with him then?"
Brennan: "Because of Booth."
Prithcard: "Ohhh, you know, I suspected that you two might be more than just partners."
Brennan: "Oh, no. That’s incorrect. Booth advised me not to sleep with Ian because Booth didn’t want me to be another notch on Ian’s bedpost."
Pritchard tells Brennan that sleeping with Wexler, was like climbing Everest and suggests Brennan sleep with Booth, "I’d encourage you not to forego Everest."

B+B enjoy a beer in a British pub and later coffee in a huge church (?) where, speaking about sex and metaphors Brennan asks, "I turned down my chance to sleep with Robin Hood?" to which Booth smiles and says, "Sometimes you just take the oddest leap." Brennan tells Booth Pritchard likes him and they stand, linking arms and leave.

403. The Man in the Outhouse

Booth arrives at Brennan's apartment with two coffees to find Brennan has a man over. Booth comments on her "bed head" and in the SUV they discuss Mark:
Brennan: "It would be good if you called first."
Booth: "Well, who knew you were even dating?"
Brennan: "Well, I wouldn't call it dating. We occasionally make arrangements to spend time together."
She explains she has a "purely physical" relationship with Mark and tells Booth he is a deep sea welder:
Brennan: "He can hold his breath for three minutes down there."
Booth: "Underwater?" As he says this he looks down at her thighs and then grins, raising an eyebrow.

Later in the SUV B+B bicker about relationships:
Booth: "Well, you know what? You cheat on your spouse, you get what's coming to you."
Brennan: "Anthropologically, 83 percent of societies are polygamous."
Booth: "Now you sound French, okay? Look, being faithful is what separates us, you know, from the chimps."
Brennan: "No, actually, it's a gene called HAR1F."
Booth: "We're talking about the Ten Commandments here, Bones. "Thou shalt not commit adultery." One down from your personal favourite, 'Thou shalt not kill.'"
Brennan: "Oh, so you also believe that Moses wandered the desert for 40 days, climbed Mount Sinai, at which point a supernatural force carved a convenient list of behavioural guidelines on two pieces of rock?"
Booth: "Yeah. That's why it's on the Supreme Court."

When Booth later finds out Brennan has a date with a different guy he berates her, "Okay, so all that stuff you said about monogamy being unnatural, you're just making excuses." Brennan tells him "I know what I'm doing, Booth." but he follows her to the elevator saying, "My gut says you're going with your gut on this one, and we all know how that ends up. Not good." She leaves Booth to go do work with Sweets while she goes on a date ... which he (and Sweets) later interrupt. Both mock Brennan that her date, Jason, is gay and Booth tells Sweets about Brennan dating two guys. When Brennan complains about the interruption Booth tells her, "I'm just looking out for you, all right? You don't have the, uh, best taste in men."

B+B's bickering carries over into the interrogation room as they question Holly. And when B+B are leaving her office when both Jason and Mark arrive, Booth is highly amused!

Finally, in therapy Brennan admits to Booth that she's been dumped, I'm considering the argument for monogamy ..... I guess they weren't as accepting of each other as I thought." Sweets opens a discussions:
Sweets: "Is it typical for you two to discuss your love lives?"
Booth: "Well, I mean, only when she has naked men in her apartment."
Brennan: "No, that's not true. I'm very open about my relationships, as opposed to you."
Booth: "Okay, what's that supposed to mean?"
Brennan: "You're very secretive. As if discussing your sex life would somehow be offensive to me. I assume you are sexually active."
Booth: " I do fine."
Sweets: "Does it seem that your partnership provides a surrogate relationship, making it more difficult to form other bonds?"
Brennan: "A surrogate relationship wouldn't necessarily be such a bad thing because then I could avoid the sting of rejection, which, however fleeting, is still uncomfortable."
Booth: "Right. Okay, look, I'm sorry. You know what? If Mark and Jason don't know how lucky they are, they don't deserve you in the first place."
Brennan: "All relationships are temporary."
Booth: "No, that's not true, Bones. You're wrong. Okay, there is someone for everyone. Someone you're meant to spend the rest of your life with. All right? You just have to be open enough to see it. That's all."
B+B stare at each other for a long time caught in the moment and Sweets can do nothing but watch on. Booth finally breaks the moment suggesting, "Come on, I'll buy you dinner. Hey, I can be fun in a strictly conversational setting.

404. The Finger in the Nest

As Booth sits in the SUV he tells Brennan about Parker finding the finger in the next and Booth is worried about the affect it might have on Parker:
Brennan: "When I was five years old, I went next door to visit our neighbour, Mrs. Walkey, and she was dead; sitting at the kitchen table. And I’m alright."
Booth: "You spend your life with skeletons. It’s just a matter of time. He’s just a kid. He’s gonna realize that he had a dead finger in his hand. He’s gonna freak out."
Brennan: "Are you afraid you’re going to get into trouble with Rebecca?"
Booth: "There’s a chance that he might not say anything to her."
Brennan: "So, yes."
As they approach the crime scene there is an opossum and Brennan sends Booth after it.

When they interrogate the victims ex-wife Brennan holds the dog which barks at Booth. Later at the barn it appears Booth is "afraid of the dog" and they wait in the car for people to come out. Brennan (unafraid) ends up throwing toys for the dog. Whilst waiting B+B again discuss Parker:
Booth: "Okay, yeah. I get it. You saw a whole lady’s corpse when you were a little girl, and you were fine."
Brennan: "Yes. Although, for some reason that I do not understand, I kept staging my own death. Pretending that I drowned in the bathtub, faking electrical shock. It really freaked my parents out. And then once when Russ found me hanging he had to go see the school psychologist."
Booth: (concerned) "But otherwise you were fine?"

When they later find remains Brennan seems upset, "It’s a mass grave." Booth tries to make her feel better saying, "We’ll send it all back to the Jeffersonian. See if we can trace the betting slips. Find these people and charge them."

When Booth enters Brennan's office to have the murderers dog lying with her on the sofa he is somewhat freaked but she tells him, "He’s actually a very nice dog, aren’t you? He reminds me of you. He’s got warm and reassuring brown eyes, and he’s capable of great violence."

Case solved and Brennan tells Booth she wants to adopt Ripley. Booth has to tell her he's been put down. Brennan asks, "What are they going to do with his remains?" And so, B+B go to bury Ripley. They discuss how the whole thing with Parker and Brennan tells him, "You're a very good father." Booth suggest Brennan "speak from your heart" at the grave site. Brennan does and when she's finished and starts to tear up, Booth wraps his arm around her and she leans into him.

**405. Perfect Pieces in the Purple Pond

At the crime scene Brennan notices Booth has strained his "inner transverse ligament" and offers to fix it for him. Booth makes two attempts to "protect" Brennan from the FBI guy's snippy moments. Brennan tells him, "I can take care of myself."

Booth lets Brennan drive the SUV but denies it is due to his bad back. He realises she is "breaking in a new intern ... you get all overly precise" and offers to help. Brennan jumps on this, "Booth you don't have to fix everything for everyone all the time, I can handle myself." Booth tells her "Partners watch out for each other." and then shouts at Brennan, "Watch the road!"

When B+B takes Sweets to the victims bedroom they mock him mildly. As they discuss his OCD:
Sweets: "She is wicked literal!"
Booth: "Okay, it's her process, don't be mean to her."
Brennan: "Booth!"
Booth: "What? I'm not defending, I'm just explaining."
Brennan: "I can defend myself ... you were defending."
Booth: "I was explaining."
Sweets: "Woah, this is an interesting development in your interpersonal behaviours."
After Brennan again mentions Booth won't let her fix his back they continue to look around the room and Sweets thinks sex may be something which has changed. When they ask where a boy might hide a masturbatory aid Booth quickly responds, "Check the shoes!"
Brennan: "Do all boys keeps their masturbatory aids in their shoes or os that particular to you?"
Booth: "That's for me to know and you to find out!"

B+B interrogate the victims publisher and he calls Brennan a "hot scientist chick!" which causes Booth to get defensive, "Don't call my partner a chick!"

Booth tries to stop Brennan touching and eating the fertilizer. He ends up copying her and tasting it too.

In Brennan's office Booth quotes Brennan's review, "suspenseful and chilling, Temperance Brennan leads the pack, anthropology has never been more exciting." and says he's read "every single word" of her books. She smiles and says "You've never said anything" to which Booth responds "Well, I'm all over your real world, I figure why would you want me in your fantasy world too?" Since they are partners he agrees to let Brennan fix his back pain - he goes very quiet when she touches him at first and tells her, the way you really help me is to let me be a guy."

406. Crank in the Shaft

In therapy, Brennan grabs Booth's fidgeting knees - he is agitated and tells about the desk chair he covets. He asks Brennan, "Hey Bones, maybe you can write me a doctors note saying I need the chair?" but she tells him "I'm not a medical doctor." As they walk to the crime scene Booth charms her saying, "If I could help you get a better chair I would."

B+B bicker whilst walking through the office cubicles and Brennan suggests Booth is a "drone" saying "it's not a pejorative statement, without the drones the hive would die." When Booth explains "I work for the United States government and so do you which makes you a drone too." Of course Brennan considers herself "the queen bee." Brennan mocks Booth strength when he can't open the elevator.

As Booth tests out his new office chair Brennan tells him, "I didn't lie to them, I wouldn't do that ... I just told them why I felt it was important for you to have it ... because of how important you are to them, I mentioned your dedication and courage and sensitivity ... I said that a chair is a good way to show the other employees in the office how much those qualities are valued ... I'll never understand why you felt you had to lie to get the chair."

407. The He in the She

B+B sit in silence at therapy and Booth plays with a slinky until his cell calls them to a murder. At the crime scene Brennan tells her intern (VNM) to return to the lab so she can "spend her time aiming Agent Booth in the right direction." Booth is unimpressed with this, "Aiming Agent Booth....?"

They drive to the island and Booth guide Brennan, his hand on her arm, when they arrive at the house. They look around and ~~discuss~~ bicker about religion, "Oh, really!? You're going after the pope now?" Later, when Booth suggests JP's call was an "ain't too proud to beg phone call" Brennan asks him, "have you made many of these ain't too proud to beg phone calls in the past?"

At the beach Booth has to shush Brennan during the moment of silence. And during an interrogation he again has to step in when she is overly judgemental about certain religious things relating to the case.

In the car B+B discuss the victims ex-wife:
Booth: "... she only called him by his given name or referred to him as Ryan's father, you know, never my husband ..."
Brennan: "I call you Booth and I like you just fine."
Booth: "Thank you but we're not married."
Brennan then asks Booth:
Brennan: "Would you like me just as much if I were a man?"
Booth: "Oh yeah. Much better. I wouldn't have to be so polite and accommodating. What about you, would you like me better if I was a woman?"
Brennan: "No, I would not."
Booth: "Why?"
Brennan: "I'd be jealous that you might be prettier than I am."
Booth: "I would be too. I'd be hot. Smoking hot!"

B+B go to Ryan's service at the end and Booth does a double take at Bones. Eye sex galore.

408. Skull in the Sculpture

The invoice for the 'art' was made out to B+B Enterprises as B+B approach the art gallery Booth pulls Brennan back reminding her that, "Gun goes first!" He picks the lock telling her, "If anyone asks the door was open"

When B+B question as artist Booth admits, "Alright, someone I understand less that you!" Brennan explains there was nothing before the big bang and Booth stops her saying, "I'm just gonna write it's been a while." They tell Angela, Roxy is a suspect and Angela admits having a relationship with Roxy. Brennan asks Booth, "You have a problem with that?" When Angela tells Brennan about her past feelings for Roxy, Brennan tells her "Booth tells me that sometimes people say the exact opposite of what they mean."

Back at the gallery Brennan asks Booth for his lighter and burns off the turpentine to reveal the blood, " ... almost lit my butt on fire!"

B+B watch with Cam and Hodgins as Sweets fires Daisy:
Hodgins: "I'm totally shocked!"
Brennan: "Yeah! They should not be doing that on the forensic platform!"
Cam: "That's a method of termination I've never tried. But bravo Dr Sweets."
Booth: "Wow, That'll never work, they're like complete opposites"
Brennan: "I agree. For all her faults she's a woman of science. Sweets bases his life on the vagueries of psychology and emotion."
Booth: "Yeah!"
Brennan: "There's no common ground!"
Booth: "Right!"
Brennan: "You need common ground, I mean, what else is there?"
Booth: "Absolutely!"
B+B awkwardly glance at one another.

**409. Con Man in the Meth Lab

Booth is late to therapy as he's been working on the RICO case, which he's told Brennan about, even though it's meant to be top secret. When Jared calls, Brennan tells Sweets it's Booth brother, "don't feel bad I've never met him either."

Booth brings Jared to the Jeff' where Brennan tells him, "I can see the family resemblance. You're facial structure is even more symmetrical than Booths." Booth watches Brennan study Jared and when Jared asks, "Is she coming onto me?" Booth tells him, "No, it's just the way she talks." Jared declares he needs a date and asks Cam out, Brennan offers herself saying, "I'm quite intelligent."" but Booth says, "No ... not that you're not intelligent ..." When Cam decides not to go Brennan suggests she could go on the date as B+B drive the SUV:
Jared: "Seeley, would you mind?"
Booth: "No, why would I mind? It's alright."
Booth hangs up and Brennan watches him as he looks the other way.

On the date Brennan brings up Booth:
Brennan: "I was thinking how Booth would be bored at a function like this."
Jared: "This kind of event would make Seeley very nervous. I don't mean, he's incapable, my brothers very, very capable ... it's just like Seeley is afraid of success. He stays in his comfort zone. It drove our Dad nuts."
Brennan: "Really?"
Jared: "Maybe that's what made him a good sniper. He doesn't like to be visible above the ridge line, so he keeps his head low. Instinct. Me on the other hand, well, I cannot help but run that risk."
Brennan: "Can you give me an example"
Jared leans in and kisses Brennan
Jared: "I bet you Seeley never took that risk."
Brennan: "Nope."

The next morning Booth is agitated when Bones is late for work, "Have you seen Bones this morning?" Cam reminds him, "You were the one who said you didn't mind them going out together." When Brennan finally gets in Cam tries to "Offer her a little insight into Booth's little brother." Brennan admits, "I didn't have sex with him Cam." which Angela hears as she enters saying, "Good .. because he's Booth's little brother and it would just be a creepy way to have sex with a Booth without having sex with the real Booth ... Jared's Booth!Lite. Booth is the real Booth."

In the FBI viewing room Brennan asks about the RICO bust:
Brennan: "Jared warned me that you tend to sabotage yourself."
Booth: "Jared said that?" (looks annoyed)
Brennan: "Hum, hmm. He said that you're afraid of success."
Booth: "So basically I'm a loser?"
Brennan: "No, he never said the word loser."
Booth: "Do you think I'm a loser? Like that guy in there, some clown in some dumb ass uniform who basically can't do any better? Is that what you think?"
Brennan: "Anthropologically males tend to rank themselves into a hierarchy. There's no shame in not being at the top of the hierarchy."
Booth: "You;re not answering the question Bones. Answer my question."
Booth's phone rings and interrupts the intense staring match between the partners. Brennan tries to call Booth back but he walks away saying, "Bones, lets just go and do our work."

B+B discuss the case in the SUV:
Brennan: "People make stupid irrational decisions".
Booth: "They act from the heart sometimes Bones, it's not a crime".

Back at the Jeff' Cam and Sweets form an intervention and tell Brennan about Jared and Booth's history. Cam also suggests "however it is Booth lost all the credit for that RICO bust, it's cos of Jared." Brennan meets Jared at a bar and realises he is to blame - she gets annoyed and pushes him off the bar stool, "you made me think that he's a loser and what really makes me angry is that I believed you!"

B+B drive and discuss the case, realising the cop is in on it. Booth has a shotgun so Brennan removes Booth's gun from his side holster. When Brennan gets shot in the shoulder Booth has to kill the cop.

In the Founding Father Brennan proposes a toast to Booth, "I know who he is, but I forget sometimes. Because... because he never shines the light on himself. [...] I now think that anthropology may have it wrong. In working with Booth, I have come to realise that the quiet man, the invisible man, the man who is always there for friends and family, that's the real alpha male. And I promise that my eyes will never be caught by those shiny baubles again."
Brennan links her arm with his and leads him to the quiet end of the bar, "Come here for a sec." where he tells her, "Come on Bones, don't get me mad at you after that great speech ... not after I got you shot ... I don't wanna talk about my brother." Brennan is insistent and gives him a psychology lesson explaining that in protecting Jared he is thwarting Jared's ability to help himself. Booth admits he "The RICO case, I traded my one shot at glory to keep my brother from being arrest ... for drunk driving." Brennan is shocked and tells Booth he "shouldn't have done that." to which he replies, "Right, says the women who got her father off a murder charge. (pause) Face it, we do things for family." Booth goes to speak to Jared outside where Jared asks, "Are you bringing me outside to give me advice on your partner, because I think that ship has sailed." Booth tells him he's no longer going to step in and rescue him. He punches the bus stop shelter and sits down as Brennan comes out with cake. Booth tells her, "Bones you know, I just need some time." She asks, "Do you need time and space?" and Booth smiles and gestures for her to sit down saying, "Just some time." As they share the cake Booth sighs and as he stares out at the road says simply, "My Dad drank."

410. The Passenger in the Oven

B+B are on a plane, Booth in coach and Brennan in first class. Booth sneaks up and sits next to Bones, waking her using a sock as a glove puppet to pinch her. She pulls the sock from his hand saying, "You know you aren't allowed up here." And sure enough it isn't long until he is asked to return to coach:
Booth: "See, we’re partners, we like being together."
Hostess: "Your sexual relationship’s not relevant, sir. This is first class."
Brennan: "Why does everyone else think we have a sexual relationship when we barely even touch each other?"
As Booth explains the nature of their trip Brennan confesses, "This trip is taking me back to my real passion. Prehistoric anthropological discoveries." Booth is upset by her comment asking, "What do you mean, your “real passion”? I thought us working together was your real passion."

He returns to his seat but it isn't long until his brooding self heads back to first class to ask:
Booth: ""You didn’t answer me before. You tired of working with me?""
Brennan: "No, it’s not that. But the identification and analysis of ancient remains, that’s why I became a forensic anthropologist."
Booth: "You’re bored. Hmm. Spark is gone."
Brennan: "I’m a scientist first."
Booth: "Right. (small laugh) Yeah. Scientist first. I, I get it. I understand."
He still looks a little put out but lays down anyway.

B+B find the body and work to solve the case:
Booth: "I am definitely not a squint. Woah."
Brennan: "Well, I’ve always known that. You have no training in the field of forensic science."
Booth: "Really don’t want any."
When Booth walks down to find Brennan wearing glasses Booth asks her, "All right, what I want you to do is take off your glasses, (steps closer) shake out your hair and say, “Mr. Booth, do you know what the penalty is for an overdue book?”" She stares at him, totally ignorant. Booth keeps obtaining things for Brennan to use from passengers and tries to convince Brennan, "Isn't this more fun than ..... " as he smiles at her from the steps.

Once the murderer is found B+B have to return to the USA on the plane. Booth walks out with champagne grinning "There's that smile!" and apologises to Brennan:
Booth: "You want to get off the plane, to see those old Chinese bones. I’m sorry."
Brennan: "It’s not your fault."
Booth: "Yeah, it is, because I’m the one that dragged you out of pure science and pulled you into murder solving."
Brennan: "That’s not how I remember it." (Brennan leans across the aisle)
Booth: "Really?" (Booth leans forward towards her)
Brennan: "Yes. As I recall, I had to force you to take me into the field."
Booth: "Really?" (smiles)
Brennan: "Yes. You didn’t want to, remember? This is all my fault."
B+B smile at one another across the aisle and are interrupted from the back of the plane:
Eli: "Hey, are you two gonna make out?"
Booth: "Hey quiet. You lost your right to talk."
Brennan: "Why do people always think we’re going to make out?"
They clink their glasses together, "To us!" and lean back in their seats.

411. The Bone That Blew

At the crime scene Booth tells Brennan, "Oh, God. You know I hate when you sniff and smell dead things." At the victims house Booth asks Brennan about her Dad working at the Jeff' and explains Cam was doing her a favour.

B+B discuss schools in the SUV as Booth considers sending Parker to private school:
Booth: "Public school was good enough for me, it's good enough for my kid."
Brennan: "Of course it is ... Probably."
Booth: "What's that supposed to mean?"
Brennan: "Parker is a bright, engaged little boy. I'm sure he'll do fine in a large classroom. I did."
Booth: "Except ..."
Brennan: "Except what?"
Booth: "Your dad was a science teacher. You're a scientist."
Brennan: "Yes, my education was enriched at home."
Booth: "That's what I gotta do! Enrich Parker at home."
Brennan: "In what academics are you qualified to offer enrichment?"
Booth looks suddenly concerned. After questioning the children whose nanny has been killed B+B return to the SUV and again discuss schooling and children:
Booth: "You think those kids are better off than Parker?"
Brennan: "Yeah, Of course they are. They have every advantage: a wonderful school, a successful father, mother committed to charity work ..."
Booth: "I spend more time with my house plants than they do with their kids ... You know what's more important than academic enrichment? A loving environment. You ask anyone."
Brennan: "Parker is a wonderful child, BOOTH: . You shouldn't feel inadequate."
Booth gets defensive and seems edgy. Brennan later tells Booth, "Parker will be fine. Peer groups and random environmental factors are far more important than family." Booth feels so guilty that he later asks Sweets what he thinks about public schools.

When Booth goes to make coffee at the Jeff' he runs into Max:
Max: "Can I ask you a question?"
Booth: (turning back) "Sure."
Max: "You, are you, uh... Are you sleeping with my daughter?"
Booth: "No."
Max: "Why? Are you gay?"
Booth: (amused, whispers) "No."
Max: "Is she not attractive enough?"
Booth: "(serious) Bones is beautiful."
Max: "Is it because of me? Because I killed one man, and we both know he deserved it."
Booth: "Right, just cut it out, Max, alright, I'll talk to her. Probably ain't gonna get anywhere with her, but... I'll talk to her."
Max: "You're a good man. And I want that for her."
Booth watches Max walk away with an odd look on his face.

B+B stand on the balcony drinking coffee and watch Max and Parker do a science experiment with mentos and cola as they discuss the case:
Booth: "Don't fire Max. Let him keep his job. You know, he's a teacher, he's not a janitor."
Brennan: "I can't overlook the sanctity of the forensic lab, Booth."
Booth: "Yeah, maybe you can overlook it for me."
Brennan: "For you?"
Booth: "Yeah. Personal favour."
Brennan: "What, like a partner thing?"
Booth: "A partner thing."
Brennan: (chuckles) "I know you, Booth. You're trying to do me a favour by telling me it's a favour for you."
Booth: "No. Mm-mm, no, I ... I can't afford that school. I can't enrich Parker, not with the science thing, but ... you can, Max can."
The cola explodes and Parker squeals in delight as B+B watch on:
Brennan: "Look at my dad!"
Booth: "Look at my little boy there with your dad."
Brennan: (she smiles) "Okay. Yes. All right."
Booth: "Thanks, Bones."
They both look happy and smile as they lean over the balcony.

412. Double Trouble in the Panhandle

B+B are called to a body at the Texas/Oklahoma border and Booth steals Brennan's water, "I’m out of water, give me yours. " They explain to Sweets that the dead twins were from the circus and Sweets unintentionally suggests they go undercover, "We’ll have a knife throwing act ... I had the best knife-skills in the rangers." So B+B head undercover with the circus as Booth and Wanda Moosejaw:
Booth: "What’s my name there Wanda?"
Brennan: "It's written right there on the side of the truck, which high wire is not."
Booth: "It’s just sometimes you get irritated and you say Booth without thinking."
Brennan: "I don't do anything without thinking ... ever ... Buck"
As B+B sell their act to the manager Booth throws some knifes and Brennan looks impressed letting out a "Wow!"

Booth is not happy when Brennan chooses a Russian act and they bicker in their trailer. When Sweets says to keep to themselves they decide to pretend to have sex and stand so they can rock the trailer from side to side:
Brennan: "What I think we need to do is get a syncopated rhythm going that takes advantage of the natural frequency of the springs."
Booth: "Woah, woah, woah." (pauses) Wait. Are you this spontaneous during real sex?"
Brennan: "Yes, I am"
They both pause briefly looking slightly awkward before rocking the trailer again.

When Brennan uses the word duress Booth covers up suggesting "She likes to read the dictionary." Brennan doesn't see why Wanda can't be literate.

Back in the trailer, Cam via the webcam asks "Is there only one bed?" as B+B sit on the bed, bickering:
Booth: "Booth you’re sitting in my clothes."
Brennan: "I’m sorry but it’s kind of tight in here."
Booth: "Which is why you shouldn’t throw your underwear on the floor."
Brennan: "It fell."
Brennan: "Don’t blame gravity for a lack of tidiness."

B+B drive the motorcycle and side car to question the doctor and Brennan has to dig in Booth's pockets to find his cell phone.

B+B emerge from their trailer and appreciate one another in costume:
Booth: "Wow Wanda,you...you look..wow."
Brennan: "You to Boris."
Booth: "You make beautiful Natasha."
Brennan does however ask "What’s with the moustache? It looks like a small animal."
Before their act they take props from the clowns and Booth accidentally hits Brennan in the eye forcing her to wear an eye patch. During the circus introduction it is Brennan who has to rile Booth and get him going, "They’re clapping for us Boris, smile Boris and wave. Show them your knives. Come on, where’s the Buck Moosejaw I married."

Backstage before their act Brennan is excited but Booth appears nervous:
Brennan: "I got props ... objects for you to throw knives at."
Booth: "No, you will stand against the board still. I am going to throw knives around you but not too close."
Brennan: "That does not sound like a very good act. I’m sure the crowd is expecting a lot more than that."
Booth: "There is no act. There’s just me trying not to kill you."
Brennan: "You said you were very good, trained in knife throwing skills by the military."
Booth: "I am very good, but it’s you I’m concerned for."
Brennan: "If you say you’re skilled than I have no reason to ... "
They are interrupted by Magnum and moments later Buck and Wanda begin their act with Booth holding Brennan firmly against the backboard and placing her arms into position:
Booth: "Bones just keep your arms outstretched like this okay? Be very, very still."
Brennan: "Okay. Shouldn’t the balloons be closer to my body."
Booth: "Not if you want to live."
Booth throws knives at Brennan with intense concentration on his face. Brennan laps up the cheers from the crowd. After the act Brennan leads Booth backstage:
Brennan (enthusiastically) "They loved us! You were great. Superb hand eye coordination, Buckie."
Booth: "I could have killed you." (grinning but obviously a little annoyed)
Brennan: "Therein lies the excitement for the spectators."

Back in the trailer Booth says the act is over and they need to catch the bad guys. Brennan seems a little sad. When Cam asks about Brennan's eye Booth closes the laptop.

As Brennan takes to the high wire Booth gets nervous and closes his eyes, concerned as she falls. But Brennan realises how the twins died and they solve the non-murder case.

Next morning B+B wake to find the circus has gone and their trailer is alone. Brennan hands Booth a cup of coffee, seeing his cup has flowers on his switches with Brennan for the Route 66 mug:
Booth: "Buck and Wanda were damn good".
Brennan: "Buck was more dashing that you, I mean Buck drove a motorcycle"
Booth: "Well, Wanda was funner than you".
Brennan: "How?"
Booth: "Well, she let me knock of a rubber nose from her face with a knife. You would never let me do that, you are way too rational." (he teases)
Brennan: "Where do you think they are now?"
Booth: "Over the horizon."

413. Fire in the Ice

Brennan watches Booth play ice hockey and waves at him when he is sent to the disciplinary box. After the game she walks into the locker room to check if Booth is okay, "your hand might be broken. Do you want me to look at it?" Booth grins and asks her to "wait outside."

When B+B find a murder victim weeks later they realise he might be a suspect. He is taken off the case and Agent Perotta steps in but Brennan says, "I won't work the case without Booth." and so Perotta allows Booth to be involved. When Perotta questions Booth she asks is he had an alibi to which he responds, "Bones and I are just partners." Perotta then starts to flirt with Booth asking if he works out.

At the lab Brennan tells Cam, "Booth says I suck at non verbal communication."

At the skating rink Perotta and Brennan talk:
Perotta: "You've worked with Booth for a while now, right?"
Brennan: "Mmm hmm."
Perotta: "Is he the kind of guy that, uh, you know, I... Is he flirty?"
Brennan: "Flirty?"
Perotta; "Would you say he twinkles his eyes at all women?"
Brennan: "Twinkly eyes actually result when the pupils dilate very wide which is an unconscious result of intense interest or sexual attraction."
Perotta: "So, no, he doesn't twinkle at everyone?"
Brennan: "No."

As Booth takes to the ice again he takes a hit and is knocked out and dreams Luc Robitaille tells him, "You protect the ones you love on and off the ice. Brennan runs onto the ice to rouse him:
Booth: "Bones, what are you doing on the ice?"
Brennan: "I get nervous when you fall down and don't get up. Come up here."
As Brennan and Wendell help Booth leave the ice he seems to call Wendell, Bones and Brennan corrects him looking hurt, "But ... I'm Bones."

Brennan holds an ice pack to Booth's head as they sit in her office. When Sweets starts to question Booth about his hallucination Booth suggests "Bones is gonna drive me home and get me soup." which is exactly what they do.

Later B+B skate:
Brennan: "I'm not positive this is a good idea." (Brennan falls down)
Booth: "Oh, I got you! I got you. Stay up here. Okay, it's all right. Here we go, one more. (he picks her up) Well, you know what, I gotta stay up all night so who better to keep me company than you?"
Brennan: "You and me skating is saving you from slipping into a coma?" (Brennan pulls on Booth arm)
Booth: "Oh, easy, Bones. Now I'm gonna go down."
Brennan: "I have a lot of natural athletic ability."
Booth: "Oh, yeah, natural. (mocking) I can... I can see that. Real smooth and natural. That's it. Well done."
Brennan: "That Agent Perotta, she really enjoyed working with us."
Booth: "Yeah."
Brennan: "But, um ... you're the only FBI agent I want to work with." (Brennan looks up at Booth and he smiles) "Will you tell me what the Lucky Luciano told you?"
Booth: "He's not an Italian opera singer. Bones, why do you always say that wrong? You do it on purpose, don't you?"
They both laugh as Booth takes Brennan hand.
Brennan: "I would like to know what he said."
Booth: "He said that I'm not like my old man. He said I'm made of better stuff."
Brennan:: "Well ... I don't know your old man, your father, but ... I think you're made of very, very good stuff."
Booth: (smiles) "Hey, you know what? Forget about Agent Perotta, all right? Nothings gonna change between me and you." (Booth pushes Brennan on the ice)
Brennan: "Well, entropy is a natural force that pulls everything apart at a subatomic level. Everything changes."
Booth: "Not everything, Bones."
Brennan: "Don't."
Booth: "Not everything."
Brennan: "You're gonna make me fall."
Booth: "I'm never gonna make you fall. I'm always here."

Season 3 - Booth and Brennan Moments

301. The Widows Son in the Windshield review

Booth arrives at the lab and doesn't walk directly to Bones to drag her out of there, instead he talks to Cam, asking what Bones is doing and finally says, "You gotta a minute? One minute?" He takes her to a crime scene (where he drags her by the arm towards the victims skull) and we learn Brennan hasn't been working in the field much with Booth since Zack left. "You know, you used to like to come out to the field ... Now you’re just anxious to get back, you know, I can barely get you out of your lab coat." When Booth tries to pronounce a science term and Brennan doesn't respond he is disappointed, "....the sublixicated sternacallum thing ... You used to correct me." As Brennan talks about the victim Booth continues to be sulky, "I’m just saying. I mean, you at the lab; me at the field – we are not working at our full symbiotic potential ... It just seems like, maybe you don’t want to work with me anymore?" Brennan states that she won't leave the lab until a suitable replacement for Zack has been found but says, "I work with you."

When Brennan calls Booth to tell him the victim was gnawed on by a human he is excited because, "This is good. Mhm, first time you called me in weeks."

Meanwhile, Angela has her own theory as to why Brennan won't leave the lab:
Angela: "Because when Hodgins and I ran away from our wedding, we left you and Booth standing at the altar, and that iconic image totally freaked you out."
Brennan: "No, it didn’t."
Angela: "Sweetie, this is not one of those things where you try to keep a secret and I ferret out the truth. This is where I tell you something that’s true so you can catch up to your own reality."

And Booth confesses to Cam that he blames himself:
Booth: Yeah, well. You know ... I did arrest her father for murder. She could be having trouble with that.

When they identify the victim Booth asks Brennan to go with him to question the girlfriend but she refuses and mocks him for saying symbiotic, "What is it? The word of the day?"

Meanwhile, Brennan (oddly) explains herself to Jack, "the reason that I’m not going out in the field with Booth is that I haven’t found a replacement for Zack."

Finally, Cam persuades Brennan to join Booth in the field and they head to the Bank where they locate the vault. As Booth and Brennan sit on the steps Booth mentions arresting her father, assuming that is the reason she won't work with him. Brennan just says, "Don’t start again, Booth. We’ll be together as soon as I replace Zack." When they enter the vault protective!Booth arrives, tackling Brennan to the floor and lying on top of her after seeing what he thought was a bomb - but was a transmitter. Brennan pokes fun at him asking, "Why are your eyes closed?" He gets up and tells her to "be careful" and they find the skeleton.

Back at the lab as Brennan and the squints work on the vault contents Booth enters all pissed: "You, you’re getting all of them to help you now .... No, this is enabling. You’re enabling somebody with a mental problem ... " At this point Zack enters and it doesn't take long for him to find key evidence and Brennan goes to the FBI to tell Booth about psycho boy Jason with the diamond tooth. She tells Booth, "I’d like to be in on it when you interrogate him." Booth is really happy but when he asks "That simple?" Brennan is worried for a moment and says "Why? Did Angela say something to you?"

The next time Zack finds evidence B+B run into the lab (wearing nearly matching green jackets!) and Brennan says to Booth, "See why he should never have left!"" Suddenly Booth realises why Brennan has been annoyed with him:
Booth: ""ou were more upset over the fact that I didn’t stop him from going in the first place. I mean, look I could’ve said to him, Zack, ‘Iraq is no place for a guy like you’."
Brennan: "And he’d never have left. You could have stopped him. Why didn’t you do that?"
Booth explains he couldn't stop Zack flying the nest, that it wouldn't have been fair.

Later at the Reflecting Pool, Booth and Brennan have coffee. When Brennan goes to take a sip Booth puts his hand over the cup, "Hey it's hot!" and she pauses apparently kissing Booth's hand. Booth tells her she needs to slow down with the case because it's a marathon not a sprint and he asks if they are solid:
Brennan: "Why are you asking me this?"
Booth: : "Because. You and me – we're the center."
Brennan: (Nods) "And the center must hold."
Booth: : "Right. So, are we gonna hold?"
Brennan: "Yeah. We’ll hold. We’re the center."
Booth: "The center."
Brennan holds out her hand and Booth cautiously shakes it and laughs saying "I thought you were going to kiss my hand again."

302. Soccer Mom in the Mini Van review

At the crime scene Booth tells Brennan that Caroline has arranged special visitations with her father - she seems ungrateful:
Brennan: "The federal detention facility already has visiting areas."
Booth: "Yeah, behind 2 inch glass. Now you’ll be able to give your old man a hug. (he grabs Brennan and hugs her)
Brennan: "I didn’t ask for special treatment, Booth."
Booth: "That’s because you don’t have to because you are special."
Brennan: "Why do you care about my relationship with my father, Booth? You were only too happy to arrest him and put him in prison.
Booth: "Alright, look Bones. Ya know what, it’s not about being happy, okay. It’s about doing my job."

When Booth asks Brennan to go out with him into the field, she tells him she can't because she is going to see her father. When Booth later asks how the visit went she tells him, "It's not like I ever really had a father. Max was absent for years." Booth tells her simply, "Well, here's what I know. I know that Nash girl would give anything to spend one more day with her mother. I'm sure you'd feel the same way if something happened to your father." Brennan doesn't tell Booth that Max said, "Well, you thank him for me. I always liked Booth. Nicest guy that ever arrested me." when he learned Booth set up the room for them. Booth's words do seem to affect Brennan because she goes back to see her father - but once again this interferes with their field work, with Caroline telling Booth, "Leave her be, Cher. Absence makes the heart grow fonder."

Later at the FBI B+B both talk to Sam who seems to dislike Brennan saying, "Is she really necessary? .... If she were a guy, I'd deck her." As they talk Booth places something on his desk and turns round bumping into Brennan. He then leads her by her wrist from his office and towards the interrogation room where he grabs her and moves her away from Sam and into the room. Afterwards B+B grab coffee and head to Booth's office with Sam who is getting more and more annoyed with Brennan:
"Sam: "You know, Booth. She must be really good in bed because I can't see any other reason you keep her around here."
Brennan: "I am. Very good. But Booth has no direct knowledge of that fact."
Booth: "Okay, okay. Let's all stay focused here, people."

Back at the Jeff' Brennan brings Booth coffee on the balcony and they discuss her father. Booth apologises saying, "Ya know, look. I'm - I should never have gotten in the middle of all this, I'm – I'm sorry. I was just – I'm just trying to help." Brennan tells Booth her father "wants to use me" and is "keeping score." Booth encourages her to give Max a chance, "You're never gonna forgive yourself if you don't cut the guy some slack just because you're afraid to get hurt."

B+B drive to question Watkins and Brennan says Sam is too irrational and probably has "male menopause." Booth says "there is no such thing, it's a sexist myth!":
Brennan: "Factually, hormone production drops in your 50's. Sexual desire decreases. You have to deal with the reduction of muscle mass, erectile dysfunction-" (she looks towards Booth's crotch)
Booth: "Hey, alright, hey. Let's just keep the conversation up, shall we?"
Brennan: "And, there's evidence that certain men become very unstable."
Booth: "Do you want me to start talking about your father again?"
Brennan: "You're very testy."
Booth: "And 35. I'm only 35."

Once the case is closed B+B meet up on the steps on the Lincoln Memorial and Booth is a little drunk. Booth drinks coffee and they discuss Brennan playing cards with her father and the fact that Sam doesn't like her. Booth leans closer to Brennan and finally leans his head on her shoulder.

303. Death in the Saddle review

At the crime scene Brennan asks why she has been called in on the case since there is lots of flesh, "Is it because you’re trying to think of excuses to put Booth and me together on cases? ... Well, cause we worked things out, and we’re fine." Booth agrees with her saying, "Yeah. Hundred percent." However, neither Booth not Cam appear convincing.

They discover they can draw "multiple equine implications" from the victim's body and when Booth enters Brennan's office she makes a horse jokes. When B+B head over to the Ambassadora they learn "people come to indulge in pony play fantasy twenty-four hours a day without fear of judgement"
Booth: "Is this some kind of a sex thing?"
Brennan: "How’d you get there so quickly?"
Booth: "The man said ‘fantasy’, I just made the leap. "
Of course it is a sex thing and B+B enter a room where horses and their riders are eating lunch. Brennan explains it is a fetish:
Booth: "Do you think that’s sexy?"
Brennan: "Fetishism is a way of indulging in sexual activity, without actually engaging emotionally with the other person as a fully formed human being."
Booth: "Okay, sex is all about engaging. You don’t wanna engage, you just stay home, and ... you know."
Brennan: "Well, they have masturbation fetishes. Often involving women’s shoes or undergarments ..."
Booth looks embarrassed and interrupts.

In the car Booth asks Brennan, "What’s worse? Okay, finding out that uh, your spouse is having an affair, or finding out that he has a secret life as a pony?" Brennan starts to tell Booth all the historical examples of people involved in pony type sexual events. Booth dismisses her saying:
Booth: "When you turn someone into an object of sexual pleasure, it’s wrong."
Brennan: "How do you know?"
Booth: "It says in the Bible."
Brennan: "It does not! "
Booth: "Then it got left out by mistake."

When Brennan plays with a baseball bat in Booth's office he asks, "You wanna put that down!?" They walk to the elevator and both reach to push the button to call the elevator at the same time. Brennan grins and says, "Giddy up!"

This time they are faced with "sicko rodeo?":
Booth: "This is not normal, okay, it’s uh..."
Brennan: "It’s what, Booth?"
Booth: "You’re not interested in, uh..." (concerned)
Brennan: "Pony play?! No, but I’m the first to admit that in sexual situations, I have indulged in... role-playing."
Booth: "Okay, you know what, it’s getting a little warm out here ... "
As they walk over to speak with Thor, Brennan explains to Booth, "We all indulge in role-playing in sexual situations ... Booth, any time you look at a woman and make the judgement that she’s beautiful, you’re objectifying her. Any time I put on lipstick and nice clothes, I’m objectifying myself. It’s more subtle than what these people are doing, but otherwise it’s the same dynamic." Booth disagrees replying, "Okay, you wearing lipstick, Bones, it’s not like this."

After questioning Thor, B+B have a cute partner moment:
Booth: "What was with all the lying? We’ve got voice tape, and public display of sexual paraphernalia..."
Brennan: "It was role-playing! I was being all ‘lard-ass and good cop.’"
Booth: "Hard-ass and bad cop, Bones. Hard-ass and bad cop."

B+B question the butcher after they knock him down in the alley behind his shop, "Stop! Or I’ll...kick you in the testicles!" But they final arrest Annie Oakley for the murder and head to the diner where Booth looses his appetite:
Booth: "I didn’t lose my appetite because you mentioned horse meat, I lost my appetite because you made me think about all those people parading around, pretending to be something they aren’t, just so they could have crappy sex."
Brennan: "How do you know it’s crappy?"
Booth: "Gotta be, Bones, come on! It’s gotta be!"
Brennan: "Why?"
Booth: "Why? I’ll tell you why. Here we are. All of us are basically alone, separate creatures just circling each other. All searching for that slightest hint of a real connection. Some look in the wrong places. Some, they just give up hope because in their mind they're thinking 'Oh, there's nobody out there for me.' But all of us, we keep trying over, and over again. Why? Because every once in a while, two people meet. And there's that spark. And yes Bones, he's handsome. And she's beautiful. And maybe that's all they see at first...But making love? Making. Love. That's when two people become one." ♥
Brennan: "It is... scientifically impossible for two objects to occupy the same space."
Booth: "Yeah, but what’s important is we try. And when we do it right, we get close. "
Brennan: "To what? Breaking the laws of physics?"
Booth: "Yeah, Bones. A miracle. Those people- role-playing and their fetishes and their little sex games- It’s crappy sex. Well, at least compared to the real thing. "
Brennan: "You’re right. "
Booth: "Yeah, but- Wait a second, I just won that argument?"
Brennan: "Yep!" (they share smiles)

304. Secret in the Soil review plus end scene pic!spam

The episode opens with B+B standing, palm to palm in a therapy session with Dr Sweets. When Booth complains "We agreed to see another therapist, not be action figures for a 12-year-old." Sweets tells the pair, "The FBI is considering severing your partnership." B+B are shocked and agree to complete the questionnaire given to them and "cooperate".

In the SUV Brennan starts to fill in her questionnaire Booth leans over to look and she pulls it away saying, "Don't look on my paper." The next day Booth asks asks what answer she put for number 7 to which Brennan tells him, "We're not supposed to discuss our answers ... Is this how you got through school, Booth?"

B+B discuss organic food as Brennan tells Booth, "You're over-simplifying an enormously complex issue". She tells him, "A researcher at the University of Florida proved that alligators who swim in pesticide contaminated waters have smaller genitalia than their clean-water counterparts." When she zones out briefly Booth tells her, "Hey, Bones, you know we're having a lively discussion here."

At the pineapple place Booth is still annoyed with Sweets, "I bet Sweets was picked that on all through school ... crawny kid like that sees me coming, a former jock, and he's thinking to himself, "Time for a little payback," you know? Make him fill out all those stupid forms. Threatens to take my partner away from me." He suggests Brennan made a bad smell, to which she replies, "He who smelt it, dealt it." Later B+B head to the compost yard where Brennan proclaims, "I'm fine. Agent Booth tends to be squeamish."

Back in therapy B+B await a call about a warrant as Sweets asks, "When you guys argue, how do you come to a resolution?" Brennan replies simply, "We don't argue." but Booth admits, "Fine. We might bicker a little bit, but that's not arguing." Brennan disagrees:
Brennan: "Bicker? I don't bicker."
Booth: "No? What about the whole environmentalism thing?"
Brennan: "That was a discussion."
Booth: "You pretty much told me my penis was going to shrink if I didn't eat organic food."
Brennan: "That's not bickering, that's being a good friend."
Booth: "My penis is just fine, thank you."
As Sweets continues with his therapy B+B watch but don't commit and as the call comes in to say they have the warrant Booth jumps up and says, "Let's boogie, Bones." and leads her from the room.

In the SUV on the way to see Noel the stalker, Angela watches on as B+B bicker about the case:
Angela: "Is it always like this when you two are together?"
Brennan: "Yes!" Booth: "No!" (said simultaneously.)
Angela: "It's kind of hot." (B+B share a look)

In the end B+B solve the case and when they tell Kat she killed her sister, it is Brennan who reaches across the table to comfort the girl, as Booth looks on. Back in therapy they discuss wrapping up the case and when Sweets comments they don't look happy and questions Booth response, Brennan jumps to her partners defence:
Booth: "Sometimes, if you win, you end up with somebody else's pain and screwed-up life. You work for the FBI, you should know that."
Sweets: "Must be a challenge for you to access those feelings."
Brennan: "Okay, stop.(annoyed!) You don't know Booth. You don't know me, you have a limited view of us based on superficial data you've accumulated on a standardized questionnaire, and a subjective analysis from talking to us that is not at all scientific, so back off."
Sweets: "Just trying to help."
Brennan: "By questioning his humanity?"
Booth: "Okay, Bones, now you're going a little bit overboard. He's just a kid. Right? I mean, the worst thing that's probably ever happened to him was he lost at Mortal Kombat."
Sweets: "Are you normally this protective of him, Dr. Brennan?"
Brennan: "We are partners. Our lives depend on being protective of each other."
Sweets: "And you feel the same way, Agent Booth?"
Booth: "Sweets, I can only hope that one day you know what a real partnership is."
Once this has been resolved Sweets goes on to discuss the answers from the questionnaires and what he has discovered about the partners:
Sweets: "You two are very close, that was evident in your superficial, standardized questionnaire and my unscientific observations."
Booth: "Yeah?"
Sweets: "You complement each other."
Booth: "No, she never compliments me. Did you compliment me in the questionnaire?"
Brennan: "Complement," not "compliment." "Ple." He means that we complete each other, as a team."
Booth: "Yeah, right."
Booth looks uncomfortable however Sweets gives them the good news that they can continue to work together so long as they remain in therapy. He comments on their closeness and says he thinks the pair have, "some underlying issues that need to be addressed":
Booth: "Issues?"
Sweets: "Yes. There's clearly a very deep emotional attachment between you two."
Booth: "We're just partners."
Sweets: "And er, why do you think I would have thought otherwise?"
Booth: "'Cause you're 12."
Brennan: "Don't read into anything that Booth said. We're professionals. There's a line that doesn't even need to be there."
Booth: "Not at all, I mean if er .... if there were no more murders, I would probably ... not even ... you know ... see her." (unconvincing)
Brennan: "That's very true."
Booth: "Might have coffee."
Brennan: "Probably not."
Booth: "What?" (he looks at Brennan)
Brennan: "What?" (she looks back)
Booth: "You wouldn't even have coffee with me?" (hurt and now it's as if Sweets isn't there)
Brennan:: "Well, in your scenario we wouldn't even know each other because there are no murders."
Booth: "Were. I said "no more murders."
Brennan: "Then fine. I mean, we could have coffee. So that's clear, then? I mean, we'd have coffee and that's our relationship? Coffee."
Booth: "Yeah, let's move on." ♥

305. Mummy in the Maze review

B+B enter the maze where the mummy was found Booth asks Brennan what she is wearing to the Jeffersonian Halloween Ball. Brennan seems surprised asking Booth, "Are you going this year? " and says she'll be wearing, "What I always wear."

B+B go to the church thrift store where they get into a religious dispute but Booth sides with Brennan. In the SUV later he lets her know he doesn't agree with the pastor's method of "trying to scare kids into Christianity" and they bicker.

At Shoreline Amusement Park, Booth tells Brennan, "Fact, Bones, there are no coincidences in a murder investigation." and at the time she mocks him saying, "You do know the strict definition of a fact, right? It's not the same as a funny feeling." Booth has to deal with a clown as Brennan mock explains to Booth, "The fear of clowns. Coulrophobia. May explain why you shot that clown last year."

When B+B question the grim reaper at the FBI Brennan repeats Booth's words from earlier:, "There are no coincidences in a murder investigation." Booth gets rough with the boy, slapping him and grabbing him by the shoulder. Brennan then slaps him herself. But when she later asks Booth if he is planning to hit Lola too he says, "No, not with a closed fist .. because it leaves a mark" as he leads her, hand on her lower back from his office towards the FBI elevator. The pair get into the elevator as Booth tells Brennan they should split up, "I'll do my street thing, you do your lab thing, all right? Together, we catch bad guys. That's good math."

The next time they see one another they are in fancy dress costume. Brennan walks from her office and asks Booth, "How do I look?" to which he gawps and replies "Good. Wonder-ful. Get it? 'Cause you're Wonder Woman." She asks him what he is meant to be and he confesses he's dressed as "a nerd squint." and they walk towards the main lab area:
Brennan: "That's not what they look or sound like"
Booth: "You mean "we." That's not what 'we' look or sound like"
Brennan: "Okay."
Booth: "You see what I did right there? I corrected you, you know, in character ... as a squint."

As the squints try and locate the missing girl Brennan asks Cam, Booth and Angela to leave and go to the party explaining, "People like us can't work at full capacity with people like you constantly interrupting with irrelevancies." Booth at first refuses to leave, sitting on a chair, arms crossed in a staring competition with Brennan. Brennan stares, hands on her hips, "Booth no!" and after a brief moment he leaves, complaining, "Fine, I'll wait outside. With this chair!" Once located, Brennan goes to find Booth and in the SUV Booth teases Brennan by suggesting they guessed the location:
Booth: "I think you did. I dare you to put that lasso of truth around you."
Brennan: "Now you're being completely irrational. This lasso doesn't actually work. These bracelets aren't actually made of Amazonium. They're stainless steel. They can't stop a bullet."
Booth looks at her incredulously and says, "Okay!"

They arrive at the scene still in costume and Booth shoots out the lock to gain access to the vent. Brennan takes out a gun prompting Booth to ask, "Okay, where did you even find a place to carry that?" as they approach what appears to be a locked gate she asks, "Look, could I please shoot this one?" but Booth kicks open the gate. When Brennan uses her gun to blow the padlock out on the room containing the missing girl the bullet ricochets and hits Booth in the leg, "You shot me! Damn it! I said no! Don't shoot! No!" Apologising, Brennan screams and jumps on top of a crate away from the snakes. Booth moves to her, "Just get on my back." and carries her, piggy back style into the room. The girl screams when the murderer enters wearing a clown mask. Brennan turns to shoot at the murderer and the force from her weapon causes Booth to fall and drop her, banging her head. Booth goes after the killer, but only after switching weapons with Brennan who finally admits, "My gun is too big for me" and shoots him.

Back at the Jeff' once the case is closed Booth and Brennan enter and sit on the steps to the forensic platform and discuss whether to go the party:
Brennan: "We could be Wonder Woman and...what's Superman's secret identity?"
Booth: "Clark Kent." (puts on his glasses)
Brennan: "Yes. We could be Wonder Woman and Clark Kent after a really, really bad date"
Booth: "Yeah, bad date because you shot me."
Brennan: "It was only a flesh wound. And you dropped me on my head!"
Booth: "After you shot me! Okay, I think I got you on this one. Okay, Wonder Woman?"
Brennan: "I'm sorry you had to kill someone. I know you hate that."
Booth: "Yeah, he had it coming."
Brennan: "You hate it. I'm sorry that happened to you."
Booth: "We saved the girl. That's a pretty good date."
Brennan: "Except not really a date."
Booth: "I know. It was..."
Brennan: "work. Not a date."
Booth: "Really, really hard work."
Brennan: "And we're not really Wonder Woman and Clark Kent. We're Brennan and Booth."
Booth: "Look, you're the one who brought up the date analogy."
Brennan: "You hungry?"
Booth: "Yeah."
Brennan: "Me, too."
Booth: "Okay, let's go grab a bite to eat."
Booth heads towards the door and Brennan stops and begins to spin around and around in a circle.
Booth: "What the hell are you doing?"
Brennan: "Nothing."
She stops spinning, raises her armbands and follows Booth from the Jeff'.

306. Intern in the Incinerator review

Booth is very cop-like this episode except when Cam asks him to attend her father birthday party as her pretend date. Although Brennan doesn't find out about this (or the fact Cam's sister kissed Booth) she does raise an eye brow when Cam mentions having had dinner with Booth.

Brennan tells the victims father she was murdered and then admits to Booth it was an unpleasant experience. Booth tries to convince Brennan that the murder is not related to the Gormogon serial killer. As they walk along the balcony they see a body fall past the window - B+B pull up in a little car to find Zack and Hodgins dropped a dummy.

When Booth asks Brennan to interrogate Aldrige she asks:
Brennan: "Why do you want me to interrogate Aldrige?"
Booth: "Because he thinks I’m stupid."
Brennan: "You’re not!" (he opens the door for her)
Booth: "Thanks, Bones, I know. Listen, during the interrogation, always refer to the victim by her first name."
Brennan: "Well, you’re the one that told me that personalizing the victim doesn’t work with sociopathic serial killers. They lack all empathy. (Poking Booth) You told me that!"
Booth: "We are not looking for gorgonzola today!"
Brennan: "Gormogon. Gor-mo-gon."
Booth: "We’re looking for someone who murdered one girl and tossed her down an incinerator chute. Entirely different kind of a guy, so, inside." (shooing her into the interrogation room)
Brennan: "Don’t .. tell me .. Don’t .." (she points at Booth and tries to resist) "You are not bossing me" (smacks his hand) "Stop it."
She finally enters the room and Booth goes to the viewing room.

When Hodgins and Brennan cannot access the logs of the items authenticated by the victim, Booth logs in successfully admitting he has Cam's password:
Booth: (taps Brennan on the shoulder) "I know your password too. It’s daffodil."
Brennan: "I never told you that!"
Booth: "What? I got eyes. I mean you guys aren’t exactly CIA material."
Brennan is surprised that Booth knows her password and goes to change it.
Booth: "Daisy?"
Brennan: "How did you know?"
Booth: "It’s your second favorite flower. I know you Bones. Try a planet .... Jupiter!"
Hodgins laughs as he watches their interaction.

When B+B go on their stake out Booth asks Brennan, "Come on, I mean, it’s a stake out. Play with me. Speculate."

After they uncover the murderer and solve the case B+B drink in Booth's office. Booth tells Brennan, "What you’re taking hard is, uh, the fact that it happened in your house ... Not where you sleep! Okay, you’re favorite place, the house of reason, the Jeffersonian." Brennan tries to argue saying, "It’s not my favorite place." But Booth continues saying that he knows her:
Booth: "Daffodil. Daisy. Jupiter." (pours more shots) "Okay, I’ll tell you what else I know," (they toast) "you were hoping that it was gorgonzola." (they take the shots)
Brennan: "Gormogon."
Booth explains:
Booth: "You were all offended that it was one of you."
Brennan: "You know what? I am offended."
Booth: "I just said that." (pours another shot)
Brennan: "I’m offended! Because ..." (pause) " ...because"
Booth: "Because you were betrayed by one of your own."
Brennan: "Yes. ... Are you going to betray me?"
Booth: "No." (they toast)
Brennan: "Nonetheless, I shall be vigilant."(they take the shots)
Booth: "Nonetheless”?(they laugh and he pours more)
Brennan: "I’m not gonna have a headache tomorrow, am I?"
Booth: "Well, we’re gonna find out. Hodgins and Zack, they do their experiments. We do ours. (they toast) To Gorgonzola."
Brennan: "Gormogon."
They take the shots, sit the cups down and before Brennan can crush hers, it falls of the table, "You missed." (laughs)

307. Boy in the Time Capsule review

Booth talks about his football trophies as B+B approach the crime scene and Brennan surmises that Booth was, "One of those guys." As they travel in the SUV Booth asks Brennan, "What sort of teenager were you Bones?" Brennan responds by telling him about Andy Fluger, the Varsity Lacrosse captain. (Interesting that the character in her books is called Andy!) Booth asks if she kissed Andy and Brennan explains to Booth, "I was weighing the pros and cons when he became my secret Santa ... he taped the gift to my locker. Everyone saw it. Teenagers can be cruel ... It was a Brainy Smurf." Booth laughs even though he promised not too and Brennan is annoyed. She brings it up in their next therapy session with Sweets ... this in turn annoys Booth who tries to defend himself:
Booth: "I was appreciating it. Don't get him involved."
Brennan: "Snorting does not suggest appreciation."
Booth: "It was about a cartoon character from the 1980's! I didn't think you'd be so sensitive."
As they discuss the issue of trust Sweets suggests, "Perhaps a way to bring this relationship back into symmetry is if you reveal a childhood story about yourself. Show your vulnerability to Dr. Brennan." And so Booth spends the rest of the episode trying to come up with an embarrassing story from his school days to share with Brennan.

As B+B make coffee at the FBI Booth tells how he stripped naked under the bleachers and was left "in my socks and my St. Christopher medal." Brennan is unimpressed with Booth's story, telling him, "this is a story about sexual prowess, Booth. You're bragging." Brennan than admits to Booth just how private her Brainy Smurf story was when she compares their stories, "You enjoyed displaying your penis. It showed alpha male mastery. Only one other person knew about Brainy Smurf. It was my mother."

As Sweets visits the Jeff' fulfilling Booth's request to have him profile for them he tells Brennan, "I'm afraid Agent Booth's report on Mr. Adamson is more revealing of Agent Booth than it is of Adamson." And Brennan is immediately interested, "Really? Why!" Of course Sweets won't answer. When Hodgins comes in to discuss his discovery with Brennan she asks Jack, "Dr. Hodgins, do boys change after high school?"

Booth's second attempt at an embarrassing story is told as B+B approach the house of Janelle Brown. He tells how he went on the loud speaker to ask Sharay Bellapini to prom. Even when Booth tells Brennan everyone laughed at him she is still unimpressed telling him, "Okay, this is merely another story of victory and sexual conquest."

Brennan defends Booth to Dr Sweets in her office telling Sweets, "Agent Booth is an incredibly good listener." :)

It is not until the closing scene that Brennan forgives Booth for laughing at her story. First Booth admits he didn't know what a Philistine was telling a kid, "Look, I'm not Philistine. I'm Catholic." When Brennan giggles he admits that's not the humiliating story. He continues to tell her about his buddies hanging a guy over the balcony and feeling bad that he didn't step in. Brennan asks, "So you were humiliated because you didn't act like a hero?" Brennan notices Booth has something in his hand:
Brennan: "What is that?"
Booth: "Nothing." (crosses his arms and hides it from her)
Brennan: "Well, you evolved. And evolution is very impressive and that is definitely not nothing."
Booth: "This?"(holding up Brainy Smurf)
Brennan: "Did you bring that for me?"
Booth: "No."
Brennan: "Good, because it's the wrong Smurf. I liked Smurfette. That's Brainy Smurf."
Booth: "Well, Smurfette was a stupid, shallow Smurf who only had her looks. Look, you're better than Smurfette. You have your looks and a whole lot more."
Brennan tells Booth she is impressed by his story and corrects his statement that: "Evolution is a long, long process. It takes hundreds of years." telling him she corrects him "To help you evolve."
Booth smiles, Brennan smiles back at him and shakes her head.

308. The Knight on the Grid review

Booth calls Cam to the crime scene and Cam tells him, "Dr Brennan looked a little hurt when you asked me to come out here instead of her" Booth says Bones' feelings "don't get hurt" cos she's not "a girl" like Cam.

When the kneecaps are mailed to Brennan Booth suggests, "you are going to you know stay with a friend, check into a hotel right?" When she refuses he brings in Cam:
Booth: "Cam, she goes nowhere alone."
Brennan: "Cam, don’t listen to him."
Booth: "Cam, Who are you more afraid of, me or her?"
Brennan: "Booth!"
Cam: "Whoa! So this is what it’s like to be a kindergarten teacher."
Sweets walks in to hear their bickering and comments on their "Fascinating interpersonal interaction."

After visiting the vault Booth picks up on Brennan's mood and asks her, "Ok, what's the matter?" She confides in Booth, telling him about the visit from Amy. As Zack approaches they discuss the case and Booth says he is bringing in Sweets on the Gormogon case. Brennan "dismisses" Zack much to Booth amusement! Later Brennan seems annoyed when she discovers Booth has given Sweets the Gormogon case file.

When Russ arrives at Booth office, Booth arrests Russ but one look from Brennan and Booth takes Russ to the hospital. As B+B look on from the doorway Brennan turns to Booth:
Brennan: "Thank you, Booth."
Booth: "Oh, this never happened. Don’t thank me. As far as the bureau is concerned I
caught him here, fifteen minutes from now."
She leans up and kisses Booth on the cheek.
Brennan: "Thank you. Booth."
Booth: "Just don’t tell anyone."

Brennan attaches the knee caps and they go to move the skeleton. In the taxi cab a motorcycle overtakes B+B and drops a bag. Booth yells for Brennan to "Get down!" and places a hand over her as he reverses the taxi. The bag explodes and the car flips over leaving B+B injured. Protective!Booth climbs from through the window and pulls Brennan out of the car, sitting her on the pavement. After his immediate concern Booth begins to argue with Brennan that their cover was blown because of her "bad acting ... you were loud! That’s what they call overacting." They realise that Gormogon was trying to kill them and find a tooth in the wound in Brennan's arm, "He was trying to kill us because - we know his next target. The corrupter. That lobbyist." Booth races off to rescue the lobbyist telling Brennan, "Stay right there!"

Protective!Booth returns at the nursing home when the original Gormogon master snarls at Brennan causing her to step back in fright. He holds onto Brennan, pulling her away.

At the courthouse Brennan realises Booth has turned in a few favours for Russ. Brennan thanks Booth (Caroline smacks him!) and tells Amy to do the same. Booth meanwhile denies any involvement, "I didn’t do anything" and tells Russ, "You run again? You disappoint that woman and her kids and you break your sister's heart, I will ... "

309. Santa in the Slush review

In the SUV Booth tells Brennan "You got that sad little girl look on your face after you've been with your dad." She says her father wants to spend Christmas with the family whilst Booth is sad that he isn't getting to spend Christmas with Parker. He suggests Brennan "Pull a few strings" for her father but she tells Booth she is going to Peru anyway to which he replies with the same words used by her father, "skeletons and Christmas do not mix."

Back at the lab Brennan returns from visiting her Dad to find Booth asleep on her sofa. They again discuss the magic of Christmas and "making the impossible happen"

In the street, Booth grabs Brennan to stop her walking out in front of a car and yells, "Watch out." She consoles Booth saying, "I'm sorry you can't be with Parker, Booth." and tells him Rebecca is being unfair taking Parker away. Inside the apartment they bicker in front of the landlord repeatedly, arguing about the "Santa myth."

B+B sulk as Booth drives:
Brennan:: "Thinking of Parker?"
Booth: "No. Thinking about your dad?"
Brennan: "No."
Brennan finally admits she is thinking about Russ and the fact he is lying to the girls. She compares him to Booth saying, "He's living a lie. You'd never do that." Booth tells her he lies to Parker at Christmas time, "kids deserve to live a different kind of truth." He suggests she come up with a lie as to why Russ is at the jail and plan family Christmas.

At the diner Brennan eats at the counter whilst Booth and Parker eat at a table.

Brennan goes to ask Caroline for help arranging the trailer and she agrees to do it if Brennan kisses Booth for five steamboats, on the lips. At the lab, Brennan puts up mistletoe and informs Booth of Caroline's puckish side:
Brennan: "Listen, Booth! She's going to be here any second. Do you want some gum?"
Booth: " No, my breath is just fine. Alright, look. I'll have a - talk with Caroline."
Brennan: "No."
Booth: "No?"
Caroline arrives and pushes Booth under the mistletoe with Brennan. The partners kiss for five steamboats as Caroline looks on, somewhat stunned. Booth wanders off leaving Brennan at her desk.

At the diner Sweets discovers B+B have kissed:
Brennan: "I have a crisis."
Booth: "Bones, it was just mistletoe."
Brennan: "Not the kiss. That was nothing."
Sweets: "You kissed?"
Booth: "Mistletoe."
Brennan: "That’s not the crisis."
Sweets: "Was there tongue?"
Booth: "Alright, you know what? Get your own sex life, alright Sweets."
Brennan: "Well, that has nothing to do with sex."
Booth: "Nothing."
Brennan: "No."
Booth: "There was no se- it was - mistletoe."
Brennan: "Totally sex less."
Sweets explains to Brennan that it's okay to lie to children at Christmas. B+B sit very close together and she continues to briefly mock Booth and his love for Christmas and even his religious beliefs:
Sweets: "Yeah, there’s a fictional element to Christmas."
Brennan: "You mean the whole ‘birth of a Savior’ rigmarole?"
Booth: "It is NOT rigmarole."

Once the case is solved Booth takes Parker to the prison and calls Brennan to tell her he has her present. When she looks out of the window she sees that Booth has hooked up a Christmas tree to his car:
Brennan: "I love my gift Booth"
Booth: "Merry Christmas Bones.

310. The Man In The Mud review

B+B at the crime scene bicker a little as they gather evidence and Booth corrects her after she says "serious as a gas attack"

In therapy Booth gets embarrassed when Brennan says the word "anus". Sweets suggests B+B never discuss anything other than work, "would it be fair to say that you use work to avoid confronting personal issues?" At first they disagree but then Brennan admits "Sweets could be right; I mean, we talk a lot about work." They say they talk about Parker and Max but Sweets says they are still work related:
Booth: "Mm...okay, what are you trying to get at here?"
Sweets: "Your inability to share your personal lives. I thought that was obvious."
Booth: "Okay, that was snotty. I don't respond well to snotty."
Brennan: (laying a hand on Booth's arm) "After a case, sometimes, we have a drink, or coffee, Booth has pie. I don't...like pie."
Booth: "Aw...you really should just give it a chance."
Brennan: "I find it too sweet."
Booth: "Okay, there. We talked about pie. Nothin' to do with work."
Sweets ask B+B to go out for an evening with him and his girlfriend.

When B+B interview Danny he asks Brennan out:
Booth: "Nah, she doesn't wanna go out with you."
Brennan: "Let me speak for myself!"

In the next therapy session Booth gets agitated because Sweets isn't talking. When Sweets asks why it is Brennan who replies,
Brennan: "He gets bored!"
Booth: "You're right, I do, I get bored."
Brennan: "You should see him on stakeouts; he talks and talks and ..."
Sweets: "Is it always about work?"
When Brennan says no Sweets suggests she is lying to cover for her partner.
Sweets asks Booth what is bothering him and he admits, "It's this whole...going on a date thing." When Brennan pulls focus from Booth Sweets suggest B+B planned their 'session'.

At the ceramics class Booth makes a horse and Brennan makes a pot as April talks about fish and their souls. When April and Lance start to fight Booth throws some of the clay at Brennan which triggers a mini battle.

They discuss their "date" in the car the next morning and Brennan tells Booth he is being "distasteful." They then discuss the case agreeing "no changies .. no take backs .."

Later when April visits Brennan at the Jeff' she tells her, "Booth and I are not blue fish" Finally, B+B share coffee at the Jeff' after the case and when Sweets arrives they invite him to join them ten pin bowling.

311. Player Under Pressure review

Booth mocks Brennan when hearing only 4 students turned up to her lecture on campus. Brennan is surprised to learn Booth was a jock when he tells her "last time I was under the bleachers, I was, uh, getting ready to smoke a cigarette and make out with Vanessa Taylor." Brennan tells Booth that, "anthropologically speaking, sports are a way for boys to practice their battle skills ... The truth is athletes are basically emotionally arrested in boyhood, acting out childish games as if they have adult importance. The only thing more juvenile are grown adults who watch sports." This annoys Booth who tells her, "I’m a little irritated with you. Just leave me alone long enough so I can get over it? She asks why he's irritated and says, "I love sports. I watch sports. You know, I’m all about sports. You know? "

Booth remains annoyed with Bones though out the case and it's not until they found the murderer that she explains, "I never meant you ... You don’t play at being a warrior. You are a warrior. Every day. You’re definitely ... a fully developed man." She also suggests Booth was "lying when you said you treated women like that beneath the bleachers ... because you still remember that first girl’s name."

312. Baby in the Bough review

B+B discuss money and Brennan admits she is getting a seven figure advance on her next book. They find a baby at the crime scene:
Booth: "Oh, look at him, Bones. He looks a little fussy there. Why don’t you pick him up and give him a cuddle? "
Brennan: "What? Just because I have breasts doesn’t mean that I have magical powers over infants. You’re the one with the son. "
B+B go to change the nappy, "We’ll work together on this one ... Changin’ Diapers 101." Brennan finds a key in the diaper bag only to have the baby swallow it and Booth calls her crazy, "That key was evidence. You know how chain of custody works. That kid stays with us until we get the key back." And so B+B spend the episode with a baby.

Brennan is a registered foster parent (at Russ's request) and takes the baby. Booth tells her, "You know, you look very mom-like with that baby monitor." and is surprised to here she has bought clothes and toys. When the baby cries they bicker over who will go to him:
Booth: "Are you gonna get him?"
Brennan: "I figured you’d get him."
Booth: "Don’t you have a “responsibility under state law”?"
Brennan: "But you’re the baby daddy."
Booth: "Baby daddy?!"
Brennan: "You have prior experience with pre-verbal infancy."
Booth: "You can be the daddy mommy."
Angela winds up getting the baby telling B+B, "Okay, you two had better get your act together or I’m suing for custody."

B+B head to the town where the victim was from and find her trailer door open. Booth tells Brennan to stay in the car with the baby, "If you hear gunfire, anything like that, drive away." Brennan protests telling Booth, "Bu ... I’m not leaving you." Booth makes her promise she will drive away if there is any trouble. She is not happy about it but finally says, "I promise."

When the squints discover the victim has chronic back pain but took no pain meds Booth says it was "probably because she didn’t want it affecting her, you know, her supply." Brennan mocks him for being unable to say the word breasts. "Would teat make you more comfortable?" And when Andy finally poops out the key Booth is read to hand him over to state police but Brennan refuses to leave him in the sticks and pleads with Booth. He of course agrees to keep the baby with them.

When Cam tells them his condition is not serious Booth smiles at Brennan, "Looks like our little guy’s going to be just fine" he then corrects himself, ... the little guy ..." They give Andy to his new parents and sit talking in the back of the SUV. Brennan tells Booth she is going to rebuild the bridge and he suggests she build a house in the town, "What? I’m just saying. Andy’s going to miss his Auntie Bones. He’s going to want to see you. We could all go fishing, come back home, plop ourselves in front of that one hundred and three inch plasma screen of *heaven* and *football* and you can make the *five layer* dip." As Booth talks about there imaginary future, Brennan sticks the dummy into his mouth.

313. Verdict in the Story review

Caroline shows up at a crime scene to tell B+B, "Dr. Brennan is suspended from all crime-related duties ... We have a date for your father’s murder trial. Booth is the arresting officer. You can’t work together until it’s over." Both B+B defend this:
Brennan: "This is not necessary."
Booth: "They don’t need to separate us."
Brennan: "I’m very compartmentalized."
Booth: "Very compartmentalized."
The pair look at one another, unsure what to do and Booth says simply, "Well this sucks!"

B+B meet Sweets at the diner and tell him, "there’s no use in doing partners’ therapy when we aren’t partners."

In court during the trial Booth and Brennan sit on different sides of the court room. However, they whisper across the aisle on multiple occasions. Their conversations do not go unnoticed by the judge who finally moves them further apart by asking them to switch seats with Cam and Russ. Booth continues to steal looks across at Brennan to see how she is doing during the trial and when Clarke's evidence causes the judge to say the trial might be thrown out of court Booth grins at Bones.

During recess Booth takes Brennan coffee before he has to go on the stand and guiltily tells her to, "remember I’m the one who gave you this delicious coffee ... Because I’m the first prosecution witness against your father."

Later it is Brennan who brings coffee to Booth saying "Psst." and the pair sit on a bench outside the courthouse. Sweets approaches with a proposal, "I’m writing a book. Taking a clinical approach to efficacy and focused outcomes. You shouldn’t work well together, but you do. I’d like to study it further ... Okay, see. That thing you do when you talk to each other while excluding the third party, namely me, its an adaptive mechanism for, uh, disparate entities to bond together against their own individual impetuses to dissociate." B+B agree to let Sweets "study" in exchange for "psychological profiling on demand." But they also mock Sweets saying, "You like us!"

Booth takes Zack to Brennan's to find the murder weapon and asks, "How ya doing there, Bones?" They sit and she admits to him that when she thought her father might get off she liked the idea. She is confused by this and looks to Booth to explain:
Brennan: "What I do – what we do is put murders like him away."
Booth: "Okay. You're not Dr. Brennan today. You're Temperance."
Brennan: "I don't know what that means."
Booth: "The scientist part of you got sidelined, temporarily."
Brennan: "I still don't know what that means."
Booth: "Bones, just, take the brain, okay, put it in neutral. Alright? Take the heart – pop it into overdrive."
Booth imitates revving a car engine and Brennan laughs.
Brennan: "Sometimes I think you're from another planet."
Booth smiles and leans forward looking at Brennan who looks back at him.
Brennan: "And sometimes I think you're really very nice."
They gaze at one another but Zack interrupts having found the weapon.

When the defence need a bogey man Brennan asks Booth to meet her at the diner:
Brennan: "I have a way to lodge reasonable doubt in the jury."
Booth: "We can't talk about this."
Brennan: "Please? You're the person I talk to about things like this."
Booth concedes, telling her the jury are the human element and that it's okay so long as "No perjury involved. Just an interpretation of existing facts." When she asks if it's okay to take advantage of the jury Booth tells her, "Brain and heart, Bones. Brain and heart." He also reminds her, "You don't know that he did it, you know, your old man ... not the way that you define “know”. You know, with proof and all that"

And so with Booth on the stand she makes herself the bogeyman by implying she could have murdered Deputy Director Kirby. Booth seems stunned and once he has answered all the questions posed by the defence he adds, "Bones was with me all day ... Forty five minutes we were apart, but we talked on the phone." Asked if she had time to kill Kirby, Booth doesn't answer and stares at Brennan across the courtroom until he is prompted by the judge, "The witness will answer the question." - his only response is directed at Bones - "That's a lot of heart, Bones.". When asked again for an answer Booth finally speaks, "Could Bones have killed Kirby? Temperance Brennan – I've worked with this woman. I've stood over death with her, I've faced down death with her. And Sweets, he's brilliant, he is, but he's wrong. She could not have done this." However, he finally has to admit, "Yes, she had time."

As the verdict is about to be given Booth realises Brennan is not in the courtroom and heads outside to find her. She is standing on the steps and he walks down and takes her into his arms in a hug. Her father is a free man and she hugs him whilst looking towards Booth who looks on smiling.

314. The Wannabe in the Weeds review

At the crime scene Booth suffers with allergies causing Brennan to ask, "How does a former sniper have a grass allergy? I mean, wouldn't a sneeze give away your position?" but Booth explains, "Bones, okay, I worked in the desert. Sand, no grass."

When B+B go to the victims house and there is no answer next door Brennan eagerly tells Booth, "Hey! Break down the door!" but he refuses saying, "It hurts my shoulder when I break down the door." - which makes sense since he told her in Player Under Pressure that it was a shoulder injury that stopped him playing basketball. Inside they question the neighbour and when mentioning sex Booth won't say the words he claps his hands and it is Brennan who asks "Did they have sexual intercourse? Why are you clapping?"

At the gym Brennan swats Booth teasingly, "You are ogling that woman!" Later when interviewing Pam, Pam suggests Brennan is thin and she appears self confident, immediately asking Booth for reassurance, "D-do I look like a scarecrow?"

B+B go to the Checkerbox and then to the diner where they discuss the singers. Brennan compares the singers innate need to stand out to Booth's days as a ranger, "You were the best sniper when you were in the army! ... And that set you apart from the others." She explains the singers:
Brennan: " ... have the power and prestige. You enjoy it because you are a superb agent."
Booth: "You think?"
Brennan: "Yes, of course. Since I am the best in my field, it would be self destructive for me to work with someone who's beneath me."
Booth: "Oh. Okay. Well that's good. 'Cause, um, you know, I have to be honest here. Sometimes I think that you think you're better than me."
Brennan: "Well, objectively, I am more intelligent.."
Booth: "There you go..."
Brennan: "In certain areas, and in others... I understand my limitations, and I... admire your expertise."
Booth: "Huh. You admire me?"
Brennan: "In certain areas of expertise."
Booth: "Well, I admire your expertise. You have a whole... science thing."
After Pam calls and asks to meet Booth alone she is annoyed and Booth explains Pam wants to meet him alone, "Probably because you make her feel uncomfortable ... Well because... You're you. You're a well adjusted woman."

One the case is solved Booth arranges for Brennan to sing at the Checkerbox. He pushes her towards the stage as Sweets tells her, "This opportunity is a gift from Agent Booth." Brennan steps up on stage and sings as Booth proudly watches on. Pam calls out from the back of the bar, "Seeley!" but before Booth has time to pull his gun, Pam shoots and Booth takes the bullet meant for Brennan. He falls to the floor and Brennan is immediately above him. She looks back at Pam realising she still has a gun and lifts Booth's weapon, shooting Pam in the throat before turning her attention back to Booth. Holding his hand and looking into his eyes she repeats, "Booth, you're going to be fine. I'm right here. God. You're gonna do this. You're gonna be fine. You're going to make this .. No, come on Booth... COME ON BOOTH!"

315. The Pain in the Heart review

Brennan is working as the squints come to tell her it's time for Booth funeral. She says she won't go until Angela begs her to:
Sweets: "It's Agent Booth's funeral, Dr. Brennan. Losing a loved one is -"
Brennan: "A partner, Sweets. I lost a partner."
At the funeral Brennan looks uncomfortable and when Caroline asks God to have mercy on Booth Brennan says, "If there were a merciful God, why wouldn't he have saved Booth."
When Booth jumps out from the line of officers Brennan jumps to his aid and knocks out the man. She then turns to face Booth and with an angry look on her face and punches him in the jaw, knocking him to the ground. Booth looks stunned.

Back at the lab Booth tries to explain what has happened to Brennan:
Booth: "After I got shot, the Bureau faked my death so I could finally get that guy."
Brennan: "I don't care ... I knew I shouldn't have gone to that funeral. It was a complete waste of time, just like I said."
Booth: (hurt) "Wait a second, you thought that my funeral was a waste of time?"
Booth continues to plead his case:
Booth: "Bones, I'm telling you. You were supposed to know that I wasn't really dead. I swear! That's why I thought you weren't crying! ... I gave a list of people to the bureau to inform that I was not really dead. You know, if they didn't tell you, it's not my fault."
Sweets: "Dr. Brennan's actually upset because she had to face strong emotions that she'd rather deny. Striking Agent Booth, indicated the depth of your feelings for him. It was a very passionate act."
Booth: (to Sweets) "Thank you!" (to Brennan) "Did you hear that? Passion!"
Brennan: "Yes, passion, because anger is a passion! Anger at being manipulated!"

Brennan later shows up at Booth's place, breaking in (using the spare key) and storming into his bathroom where she finds Booth wearing a beer hat and reading a graphic novel. She yells at him and Booth is annoyed, "I already explained this to you. The bureau has to vet everyone when there is a security issue. I was just following protocol." but Brennan won't accept his reasoning telling him, "Well, you could have called me. Did you really think I needed to be vetted by your boss? I mean, don't you trust me?" She continues, "We've been partners for three years, Booth, and you've broken protocol before – sometimes putting my life in danger. Which makes sense because you clearly don't have any real concern for me." Booth gets angry and stands up yelling, "I took a bullet for you!" As Booth stands naked in front of Brennan both pause and take a breath. Brennan offers him a towel which he refuses before sitting back down. Booth agrees to find out why Brennan was not told about his fake death and promises to tell her next time he fake dies. Brennan leaves but only after telling Booth, "Just so you know, I find your lack of Puritan modesty very refreshing."

In the Gormogon vault Brennan comments that, "for all we know, Gormogon is dead and we're not on the list of people who get to find that out." This immediately grabs Sweets attention and Booth tells him about Brennan's visit to his apartment the previous night. When Booth discovers it was Sweets who got the list and did not tell Brennan he drags Sweets to her office and tell her to "Slug him!" When Brennan accepts Sweets' rational Booth is confused:
Booth: "Woah. Wait a minute. Now why are you mad at me then?"
Brennan: "Because you should have told me, personally."
Booth: "Oh, I should have just ignored National Security concerns, broken the law and told you."
Brennan: "Yes. You know I'm very trustworthy."
Booth is unhappy with the logic and suggests something else is going on. This leads them to discuss pie:
Booth: "Come on! I mean, when I offer her a piece of pie you say it has deeper meaning."
Brennan: "I don't like pie, Booth."
Booth: "Well, apple pie. She doesn't like baked pie."
As Booth leaves Sweets smiles and comments, "You know, I think it's interesting, psychologically how Agent Booth's constant efforts to persuade you to enjoy fruit pie could be interpreted as a kind of seduction."
Although Brennan sided with Sweets in front of Booth she challenges him when Booth is out of earshot, "You experimented on us ... Not telling me Booth was alive? You wanted to quantify our reactions for your own research? You took advantage of us. Booth and I agreed to let you observe us. We did not agree to be used as lab rats, so you better cut it out ... if Booth hears why you did what you did? He'd beat ya up ... So you better not do it again."

B+B have coffee at the diner - Booth does not have pie. Sweets suggests Hodgins is Gormogon's apprentice and Brennan asks why, saying it could just as easily be her:
Sweets: "You have a reverence for life that belies the cold, calculations of a killer. And the emotional connection you share with Agent Booth ..."
Brennan: "No. That ... I -" (she starts getting up) "I don't have time for this. No." (she leaves)
Booth: "Don't you know by now you can't rush her?" (Booth rushes after Bones)

When Brennan realises Zack is Gormogon's apprentice Booth gives her time at the hospital to talk it out with him before asking for a name. Later as the squints looks through the box of Zack's favourite things Brennan gets upset, saying"I never gave him anything" and leaving the room to sit on the stairs. Booth stops Angela and goes after her himself holding a letter which he reads to her:
Booth: "“Dear Mr. Addy. It is my pleasure to offer you the post of my intern in Forensic Anthropology. I choose you from hundreds of applicants because of your knowledge, your desire to learn and because I feel you will find a home here.” (he sets the letter in the envelope) I think you gave him something great, Bones."
He gives her the letter and she leans her head against his shoulder.

Friends Cut

Every time my friends list gets over a hundred I find it hard to handle. There are always people I friend or who friend me and we just don't hit it off. I don't get into reading their entries and they never comment on mine. No reason, no rhyme we just didn't connect. Many of you fall into that list. Others have disappeared from LJ or seem to have and some of you I'd love to take back if you re-appear (Jess, Jen, Nancee, Marina). But for now I need a ~~spring~~ summer clean up. Lots of communities going too - fandoms change and so do my icon habits.

If I've removed you I mean no offence, we probably just didn't connect the way friends do or I have moved onto other fandoms and feel we have nothing to talk about any more. I am also doing this to make more time for the people I have grown to adore.

If you wanna leave me as a friend for my icons that's fine but if you wanna remove me too go ahead. I wish you all well. Who knows in another fandom in the future I might be back to say hello.

Season One - Booth and Brennan Moments

I am doing my summer re-watch of Bones and have been cataloguing all the Booth and Brennan moments. I thought I'd share them. :) The rest of the season will be posted as and when I watched them again. Note: Reviews are only for my flist.

101. Pilot review

Booth picks up Brennan at the airport (attempted rescue) and begs her to work with him - she demands full participation and he gets Cullen to agree saying "she's amazing." He also calls her "a genius."

He taunts her at the firing range. HOT + CLOSE!

He repeatedly calls her Bones and she says at least 3 times "Don't call me Bones" but he gets away with it a couple of times too. He also uses her given name, calling her Temperance in his office to get her attention:
Brennan: "Zack said you wanted to see me."
Booth: "Yeah, something you don't like to talk about, families.....(she starts to walk away), Temperance....(she looks back).... partners, they share things, it builds trust..."
Brennan: "Since when are we partners?"
Booth:" I apologise for the assumption."
He hands her a warrant to search the senators place and they make nice. ♥

Case solved they attend the funeral, as Brennan shares her family history ("my parents disappeared when I was fifteen, nobody knows what happened to 'em") with Booth he admits he wants to catch as many murders as people he has sniped and although Brennan snorts and says "please you don't think there's some sort of cosmic balance sheet" she admits "I'd like to help you with that."

102. The Man in the SUV review

Booth and Brennan find their funk this episode with a ton of bickering. She doesn't say "Don't call me Bones" once this episode, however, she does challenge him, a lot!

Brennan is initially amused Booth has a girlfriend telling him alpha males tend to live alone. But later she seems jealous of Tessa after seeing Booth and Tessa half naked when she shows up at Booths place with an ID. The squints try and convince her to hook up with Booth. "I think he likes you, god, if I were you I'd buy a ticket on that ride." Angela even heads out to meet Tessa.

Homeland security guy: "Booth says you're the best." :)

End scene in bar drinking - Brennan touch his arm and says he's saved so many people.

103. A Boy in the Tree review

Two more "don't call me Bones" moments and plenty more bickering - in fact the episode starts with tension in the car (with Zack). At the school where they find the body in the tree Booth refers to Brennan as "my forensic anthropologist." much to her chagrin. He also tells her "You're bad with people."

After Brennan tells the mother her son was a good man Booth compliments her saying "Very impressive Temperance. You got that one right."

Booth's gut tells him the case stinks and Brennan doesn't trust his instinct but in the end she admits "I think you have a subconscious knack for reading body language, stress in the voice, other subtle yet discernible indicators. It's not mysterious but it is impressive and in the future I will try to accord it an appropriate degree of objective worth." His response "Thank you, Temperance." is followed by him making her move away from "my bar" to sit with the squints. She leaves his new Jeff' ID card on the counter. ♥

1.04. The Man in the bear review

Booth and Brennan go to Washington state - Brennan asking Goodman, "are you suggesting I take this opportunity to have sex with Booth on a field trip?"

Booth appears jealous both of Brennan's unlimited expenses:
Booth: "You know what you're a smart ass"
Brennan:" Objectively I'd say I'm very smart although it has nothing to do with my ass."
Booth: "You know, I tell you what, you can take me out to dinner, put it on your tab."
Brennan: "That doesn't seem ethical"
Booth: "You still want that gun now don't you?"
Brennan: "We'll start with breakfast!"
(He does give her his gun at the end too - thus keeping his promise).

He also gets jealous of the men hitting on her: When the Sheriff asks Brennan if she has dinner plans Booth throws the file at him and says "We're working" as he places his hand on Brennan's lower back and leads her away. As they dance at the bar Booth tells Brennan "You're the hottest thing this town has seen in a long time." At the end Brennan tells Booth she may return to ski with Charlie, she puts Booth off his food and tries to feed him cornflakes. (There was even suggestion that she slept with Charlie as she wasn't in her room when Booth went to find her for breakfast!).

105. A Boy in the Bush review

At her FBI/Jeff' speech Booth suggest the FBI agent in her book, Andy Lister, is based on him.

Booth watches Brennan work with the foster kids and sees a different side to her. He tries to get her to tell him about her time in care and guesses she was kept apart from her brother. Eventually she says "I was a foster child until my grandfather got me out......Booth, I'll tell you all about it one day."

When Booth tells Brennan she has to uphold the law if she is going to work on cases outside the lab with him she surprises him by saying, "tell you what, if I can't respect the law I can at least respect you."

When Brennan tells Booth she crashed her car because she parked the way Booth told her - he giggles and she says "Your mean!" *g*

At end Booth tells a dressed up Brennan "you look nice, better than nice, you look er.....very..." Booth asks how she knew he would keep her promise to the foster kid. She said "because you wanna go to heaven."

106. The Man in the Wall review

Brennan gets high on meth' at a club with Angela. Booth shows up with Tessa.

Booth talks about taking vacation - Brennan tells Booth he is being snippy and tense. Booth says several times he found Brennan at a musueum. Tootie the slobbery dog finds the dead girl - Brennan says Booth is sincere. Brennan starts to like hearing Booth come up with scenarios. Tessa delivers a clean shirt for Booth and Angela puts her off going on vacation. Brennan says Booth isn't the kind of guy who bails on relationships.

At end - Booth heads off on vacation leaving Brennan in the bar.

107. A Man on Death Row 1st Howard Epps episode. review

Brennan tries to get a gun - Booth denies her the license. ♥

Amy, the lawyer, asks Booth for a favour and he asks Brennan for her help "I would appreciate it if you two didn't bond." Amy asks Brennan if she likes Booth cos "I'm picking up a sex vibe." Brennan says it's "tension" and says she isn't interested.

Whilst digging up the bodies Brennan asks what Booth would usually be doing at the weekend:
Booth: "Hey, that's none of your business ok. I'm not having sex with Amy and I have never, ever, cheated on any woman that I have ever been with, NEVER!"

At Wong Foo's they drink and Booth has apple pie!!

**108. The Girl in the Fridge review

Brennan's old professor turns up and takes her out for dinner and she is late for work. Booth is not jealous but teases her and firmly joins TEAM BRENNAN when a competition starts.
Booth tells Michael "She's a good partner though, what you see if what you get, that's a rare quality. That's just between us." When Booth learns Brennan's professor is working for the defense he is careful with her:
Booth: "Bones, you ok?"
Brennan:" Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
Booth: "Cos the nutty professor is grading your paper. What did he give you anyway? I was always happy with a B."
Brennan : "I never got a B and I never will!"
Booth : "That's my girl!"

When B+B find the couple with the fridge are into kinky sex they play with the toys and discuss sex goes kinky when it's no longer good, Brennan agrees with Booth saying she feels no desire to be dominant or feel pain during sex and Booth teases her saying "Are you sure, cos you can be very bossy!?" She whips him with some sex stick!! LOL

Brennan goes on trial against her professor and Booth gets super supportive. Booth struggles to be honest with Brennan when she is tough to follow on the stand. Booth puts his faith in Brennan and she returns to stand and wins case after Booth told the lawyer to ask Brennan about her past to rouse sympathy with the jury - she is mad but he sort of apologises saying "it was my case too." He shows up at the lab and says "we have a case" he apologises to her on some scaffolding and offers her his coat. She admits she would have done the same thing thus forgiving him.

**109. The Man in the Fallout Shelter review

Booth brings Brennan a Xmas gift - a dead body. She sends Booth to party with Angela and gets the guys to help = lockdown!

The drugs cause Booth to hallucinate and he is too cute and talks very closely to Brennan about God as she tries to dispute Xmas.

Angela realises Brennan's parent disappeared around Xmas and Brennan discovers Booth has a little boy. "Nothing brings people together like a Xmas lung fungus."

At dinner Brennan learns everyone is religious and says something about Booth having a child out of wedlock. He looks hurt.

Brennan tells Angela about the presents she has never opened since her parents left - Booth hears the story from the door.

At the end Booth leaves for Sid's to meet Parker and he asks Brennan to come - she does and they drink.

110. The Woman at the Airport review

Second out of town trip for B+B, this time to LA. Brennan blackmails Booth into letting her drive the car "I'm not above telling the FBI what kind of car you got."

Agent Finn tells Brennan she set up the crime scene based on what she had read in Brennan's book - Booth tells her, "She got that from me."

Brennan: "We are born unique, our experiences mould and change us. We become someone, all of us. And to have that taken away by a murderer to be erased from existence against our will it's just......
Booth: "Evil!?"
Brennan: "Unacceptable! These bones you bring me, I give them a face, I say their names out loud, I return them to their loved ones. And you, arrest the bad guy. I like that!"
Booth: "So do I!" *beautiful smile*

111. The Woman in the Car review

When Brennan is interviewed about her book she asks how she did to which Booth replies, "Never say you don't like kids." When she sees his car seat in the SUV she asks whether Parker was an accident. Booth tells her "it never occurred to you that that might be a sensitive topic?" Children is a topic throughout as they have to save a little boy from mercenaries.

Booth: "If this works I'm going to buy you a puppy!"

Cullen: "Paladin. Defend of the faith. Protector. It suits you Booth."
Brennan: "You know what? You tough guys are all very sentimental." (to Booth)

Brennan: "You know, I feel things Booth." *is offended*
Booth: "I never said you didn't Bones."
Brennan: "I'm a professional too. I do better work if I only see the finger and not the child. It doesn't mean I'm like them."
Booth: "Look I know Bones."

At the end Booth makes her wait outside saying "Bones, these guys aren't like anyone else you've come up against, please just be someone aren't for the next ten minutes and you hang back. Please!"

112. The Superhero in the Alley review

At the start: Brennan: "Don't use your charm smile on me"
Booth: "What?" *grin* "It's a mark of respect, that's all."

The team discuss the fact Brennan "reveal much more of your world view in your writing than you realise" ...... "Such as FBI guys are hot and Angela here wants to have sex with me".

At bowling alley Booth tells Brennan to "try not to piss everyone off." And when Booth tells her about winning bowling games she says she won some award - "My God it's like we lead parallel lives." *sarcasm*

In the lab Brennan seems upset that Booth said she is like the victim isolated but without superpowers, Booth makes her feel better (telling her she does fight crime) and she says that is his superpower.

Back at the bowling alley Brennan starts to make conclusions from evidence and blames it on "spending so much time with you - I mean that as a compliment." Booth calls Brennan "Baby!" "Cold hard facts baby!" *grin* He blocks her from walking, sort of grabbing her.

At the lab they again relate to Brennan's book - and she teases Booth that he falls "far far short" of his fictional character in her book.

When they discover the victim "wanted to make a difference in the world before he died" Brennan tells Booth "I told you he was more like you than me." ♥

When Brennan hits the murderer in the arm causing him to attack her Booth jumps to her defence with handcuffs, "I got him!"

**113. The Woman in the Garden review

Brennan says she is reading "a book about improving work relationships". "Sarcasm is never helpful."

Brennan pleads with Booth not to make her scare a Spanish lady with a baby. "I am asking you as a favour not to make me do this. To scare her. Please?"

She visits him at work to apologise and admits she is no cop. He says it's fine.

At the end Booth learns the gang "put a hit out on your lady scientist." Protective!Booth steps up as he goes after the gang leader to warn him "If anything happens to her, I will kill you!" *swoon* When he is late for the funeral he asks, "Am I in trouble?" So cute.

114. The Man on the Fairway review

Brennan tells Booth about the bone fragments not from the plan and he mocks her saying "You miss me!" She slaps his hands away from the evidence.

Booth gets annoyed when Jesse tries to bond with Brennan but agrees to help her out on the case. He opens her car door, pushes her two hands on her shoulder from the lab and talks directly to Zack after she asks him not to ignore her assistant. This man will do anything for her!

In the car Brennan is "poking and prodding" and tests Booth gut asking if he believes Jesse murdered his father. "Are you testing out my instincts Bones?" - "Poking and prodding! I learn from the best." She pinches his cheek and he smiles. ♥

Brennan defends Booth to Jesse... "Booth says......" and realises Jesse is not the man she should ask for help. At Wong Foo's she asks Booth to look over her parents file "another favour?" Booth agrees to help saying "I'm proud you asked Temperance." She also tells him "it's kinda sweet" that he and Zack have their male bonding, not speaking thing and Booth says "Well, your people are my people." She smiles at the realisation "I have people!" She touches him on the shoulder as she leaves.

**115. Two Bodies in the Lab review

Brennan starts online dating and Booth disapproves telling her it's "creepy" and asking "What if the guy's a psycho?" Romantic!Booth asks "Whatever happened to, you know, seeing someone across a crowded room, eyes meeting, that old black magic gets you in a spell?"

After Brennan is shot at protective!Booth steps up and tells Brennan, "Bones, I'm not letting you out of my site until I find out who tried to kill you." Angela tells her, "Booth is a big, strong, hot guy who wants to save your life, I mean you actually have a knight in shining standard issue FBI body armour."

Booth goes on about the date both at the lab and the crime scene and seems annoyed when they interrogate David. David asks, "Ok, did I miss something because I don't wanna get in the way of something between you two..." Both Booth and Brennan seem surprised and both say no but Booth still places his body between them and tells David he can leave.

Booth takes Brennan home, "You think you're staying here with me?" They talk about music, sing/dance to Foreigner, Hot Blooded. When David calls Booth apologises "I hope he didn't think....I wouldn't wanna you know ruin things for you." After asking for a soda Booth opens the fridge and it explodes. KABOOM!

At the hospital Brennan learns things about Booth from his x-rays. That he was tortured, that he tried to shield a man.

Not until Hodgins visits causing Booth to ask, "Why are you here, is Brennan alright?" do the guys realise that it's an inside job. Hodgins tells Booth he is not to blame but Booth simply states, "How is it not my fault? It was my job to protect her and instead I hand her over to him."

They rescue Bones just in time and Booth uses his body to unhook her, causing her to hug him as he says "It's alright, I'm right here."

Back at the hospital he says, "You know, I let you down Bones. I'm..I'm sorry." She tells him she has a date and Booth smiles and says "Yeah I figured you didn't dress up for me." Brennan leaves but returns and sits down with him saying her head still hurts.

116. The Woman in the Tunnel review

Booth gets all protective in the tunnel when Bones runs off, "Don't go running off into the dark." He gives her a gun twice in this episode.

In the car B+B compare Harold and Booth's military past:
Brennan: "You killed a pregnant women who was holding a child?"
Booth: "Look, if you really wanna know what I've done, I'll tell you, but you better be ready for the truth. (He looks at her and she turns away.) Good choice Bones."

At FBI they discuss the case "Bones, you do realise you're discussing motive here, psychology?" He grins at her and she says flatly "It won't happen again."

Brennan puts her gun into Booth's pocket, "That's not cocked is it, cos where that's pointing....."!!!

117. The Skull in the Desert review

Brennan goes to help Angela and as soon as Ang goes to bed she calls Booth for help saying, "I want you to get federal on his ass."

Booth shows up and Brennan is in bed. She asks him to, "Wait outside while I get dressed" and he refuses, "No.........I can stand here, close my eyes, eat my donut, it's the best I can do."

Brennan says Booth is "a stodgy traditionalist when it comes to relationships, Buddy."

Brennan pushes Booth out of sheriffs office.

118. The Man with the Bone review

PIRATES! and treasure. Booth briefly man handles Brennan when they arrive at the money pit site at the start - he kind of grabs her and moves to the other side of her.

Protective!Booth is always on hand as Harry the twisted FBI morgue guy flirts with Brennan. He says "She's intense" and calls her "Bossy" and makes remarks about her "wearing a rubber suit" when he learns she dives. His best quote though describes the B+B relationship perfectly: "an intense conversation can be the most wonderful type of intercourse" :)

Brennan asks Booth "Are rangers afraid of Seals?" when they learn the murderer was a Navy Seal to which Booth replies "Rangers aren't afraid of anyone."

**119. The Man in the Morgue review

On 'vacation' to New Orleans to ID victims of Hurricane Katrina Brennan ends up with voodoo amnesia and is arrested for murder. Booth flies down to take care of her, barging into the exam room at the hospital and turning her face to see her bruises.

Booth removes Brennan's earring from the crime scene and says repeatedly that she did not commit the murder:
Booth:"She didn't do it!"
Booth: "I just know ok. I'd bet my professional career on it. I already did!"
Booth: "There's no way that Bones killed Leger, it's just not her, I mean look at her."

He defends he when Detective Harding questions her and tries to arrest her and tells Caroline "She's a brilliant forensic anthropologist!" He also pulls her away and leads her a lot in this episode and never stops protecting her.

Booth holds her phone for her whilst she talks to the Jeff' and studies bodies.

At lunch Booth says "You're just the type of woman that fights.......you're a surprising woman, sometimes that enough for getting away." When she asks him, "Why are you nice to me?" we get a lovely exchange:
Booth: "Because, they think they get away with it. They burn their victim. They blow him up. They toss him in the ocean. They bury them in the desert. They throw them to wood chippers. Sometimes, you know, years go by, they relax. Then they start living their lives like they didn't do anything wrong. Like they didn't spend somebody else's life in order to get what they got. They think they're safe from retribution. But, you make those bastards unsafe. That's why I'm nice to you."
Brennan: "I couldn't do that without you Booth."
Booth: "Yeah, so erm, you should be a little nicer to me huh?"
Brennan: "I really should." ♥

Booth tries to protect her against the Secte Rouge murderer guy but Brennan pokes him in the eye.

And finally Booth "Proves something" when he hands her her mother's earring with a smile.

120. The Girl in the Graft review

B+B visit Cullen and his daughter, Amy in hospital - "How appropriate, you two bickering in an adolescent wing!" Booth tries (clears his throat) several times to stop Bones asking about Amy's graft. As soon as she discovers the cancer came from the graft Booth backs her up 100%. He even corrects the doctor who calls her Ms Brennan, saying "Dr Brennan!" *g*

Booth lets Brennan talk to Amy too, "Let me.." - "Easy." He seems to trust her empathy a little more.

At funeral home he tells Brennan to put on her sad face! *g*

121. The Soldier on the Grave review

Angry!Booth / Angsty!Booth / Sad!Booth make major appearances in this episode - he is short tempered with both Brennan (and Hodgins) very early on.

Brennan goes with Booth in the car "just wanted to keep you company" but really she admits she thinks Booth "might be too close to this one." They each call the other crappy liars and Brennan says "I'm your partner. Let me be your partner!" In her attempt to keep him objective, however, she thinks she said the wrong thing and has upset Booth by telling he he isn't being tough enough.

B+B meet Hank and he later tells Booth he should talk with "your girlfriend" about Kosovo. Booth explains "she's my partner."

When Angela says Brennan should be there for Booth Brennan misunderstands saying "friends with benefits" is not happening. Angela says sometimes a simple touch can be everything. And later when Booth opens up and tells Brennan about killing a child father she touches his arm and he cries and strokes her hand. ♥

**122. The Woman in Limbo review

Booth strips Brennan out of her lab coat at the start and helps her put on her jacket before leading her - arm around shoulder - out of the Jeff' and to court - away from Angela and Goodman and Zack who are all trying to get her to do stuff.

When David shows up, Booth steps between them again putting his arm around Brennan. He seems jealous upon hearing David read the manuscript of Brennan's second book - Bone Free - "yuk on the title" and asks "Am I in it?" to which Brennan replies "No!" but David says, "Definitely!" :)

Brennan returns for her notes and Booth and David circle each other "So are you two....?"..."Yeah, sorta. Is that a problem?"... "Yeah. You know Bones is kinda literal so in future no jokey advice on court day."

When Brennan sees her mother she goes to her office. Both recognises Christine and Brennan and calls to cancel Brennan's court appearance. He goes to Brennan and listens as she tells her story before telling her, "Temperance, go home!"

Booth shows up past midnight with "Wong Foo's" claiming he saw the light on. He tells Brennan they can open a file on her Mum.

It is Booth who has to tell Brennan her parents were living under assumed identities. He can barely say the words, knowing the impact they are having on her. He visits Russ and brings him to DC and convinces Brennan to speak with her brother.

Meanwhile Booth asks Angela "Why do you think that Bones asked her boyfriend to read her book and not me?" Angela's face is totally priceless!!!

When Booth discovers the real names of her parents Brennan slaps Russ forcing him to tell her their real names, "What is my real name, Russ?" She talks with Angela on the balcony about her parents leaving and says "I miss that, someone caring where I am all the time" ..... just as Booth shouts "Bones, you up there....?" Brennan and Angela share a grin. ♥

When they find DNA of her mother and another person in the car Booth touches Brennan's arm.

He again brings chinese food to her apartment and tries to make her feel better by saying all parents have secrets. The next morning he find Brennan sleeping on her office sofa and tells her the DNA is from a guy in witness protection but when Angela enters with the drawing from Russ Booth says he'll "play hardball" and put pressure on the witness protection people ..... Angela is impressed, "You know sometimes he is just .....WOOOSH!" *g* She and Brennan share a smile.

When Booth learns the location of McVicar he comes to get Brennan from the lab saying "Let's go for a drive." After she thanks the squints he puts his arm around her (again) and leads her from the platform.

There is a mini bicker session as they meet McVicar - Brennan finds the guns on him and Booth says: "I'm always right" to which Brennan replies, "No you're not!" LOL As McVicar lays out his story Brennan breaks down unable to handle the idea of her mothers affair and her parents fake identities..."My name is Dr Temperance Brennan..." Booth watches on and finally takes her into his arms, "I know who you are. Ssssh, It's gonna be ok."

Protective!Booth steps up when they return to the farm to confecate weapons as he tells McVicar - "you attack her and I'll drill you through the forehead." On the return journey Booth lets Brennan drive for the first time - "a reward, for totally pissing off a hitman." He asks if he can read her book and she simply says "Let it go."

After collecting Russ they go back to Brennan's apartment and Booth sees the manuscript dedication 'To my partner and friend, Special Agent Seeley Booth'. Speaking with Russ about children he looks up at Brennan and says "Girls are nice." They raise a toast: Booth, "To us." Brennan: "To what we're becoming!" ♥

So I am always watching videos over at You Tube where people show their top ten moments from tv shows and especially shipper moments. I've seen quite a few Booth and Brennan top tens and it made me wonder what my top ten moments are....or indeed if I could choose a top ten (since there have been so many and I have a terrible memory). So here goes my attempt to choose ten top shipper moments where Booth and Brennan have made my heart melt a little bit *wub* Note: This is for season 1 - 3 only and already I could add / edit for the scene where have Booth tells Brennan that there is someone for everyone....my fave season 4 shipper moment so far......maybe i'll re-do after season 4 and see how the top ten changes. *squuee*

Let's face it there have been lots and lots of brilliant Booth and Brennan moments - from dinner at Wong Foo's to meals at the diner - from Roxy and Tony in Vegas to Booth's crappy sex speech - from Booth giving Brennan her earring back to the wedding scene where Brennan thanks Booth for telling her about her father - from Brennan's Halloween date analogy to Booth and his gifts of Jasper the pig and Brainy Smurf, singing poco at the diner.....and finally the looks shared between Booth and Brennan after her father walks free from court ..... yes people there have been many many beautiful BB moments..... and choosing a top ten was tough ... but lets get started.

Booth and Brennan Tp Ten Moments

10. 115 Two Bodies in the Lab - "I figured you didn't get all dressed up for me."

Booth gets blown up and Brennan gets kidnapped forcing both Brennan and Booth to face feelings of loosing one another. The rescue scene is amazing when Booth shoots the guy and lifts Brennan form the hook, taking her arms around his neck and into his embrace is so amazing. But it's the ending that's cutest. Brennan, all dressed up and ready for her date, visits Booth in hospital. The moment is awkward yet Brennan still chooses to ditch her date to spend time with her partner. *le sigh*

9. 216 Boneless Bride in the River - "Everything happens eventually".

I love this scene the most because it represents Sully leaving and Brennan's choice to stay .. for Booth. Booth's grin as he waves goodbye is so cute - he is secretly overjoyed that Sully has left and he has his girl back!!! I remember watching it for the first time and I was so happy that Sully had left as well - I felt like Booth - all smiley and happy.

Booth: ""Give it time Bones, ok, Everything happens eventually."
Brennan: "Everything?"
Booth: "All the stuff, ok, that you think never happens, it happens. You've just gotta be ready for it."

8. 209 Aliens in a Spaceship - "I knew you wouldn't give up."

After a stressful and emotional episode Booth rescues Brennan (again) and although I adore the scene where he runs to rescue her it's the end that I love the most. The scene in the church where Booth finally allows Brennan to go with him is just beautiful. He prays and she sits back silently observing. They discuss how saving Brennan and Hodgins saved them all and Booth says he is thankful for that. Brennan then looks at Booth, she almost looks as if she might cry but instead she simply say "I knew you wouldn't give up" to which Booth replies the exact same words in the same knowing way "I knew you wouldn't give up." It's such a simple sentence but is shows just how deeply these two now understand each other and the lengths they know the other will go to to find and protect one another. Simple but total understanding.

7. 207 The Girl with the Curl - "When you look the way you do"

After solving the case Brennan and Booth eat donuts and Booth tells Brennan she'd never understand women wanting to change their appearance because "You're structured...very well." He gets up to leave when he sees Cam but ends up staying to help Brennan finish their paperwork. I love this scene because we see Booth realise that he'd rather spend time with Brennan than his girlfriend *wub*...... "thai food!"

6. 309 Santa in the Slush - "I love my gift, Booth".

Sure we got the kiss in this episode - which was fun and nice. But for me the best shipper moment was the gift. The looks shared between Booth and Brennan when he got her the tree were just beautiful. And the gesture in itself just shows how much Booth will do to make Brennan happy. He is so thoughtful and such a gentleman......and so wanted to share her family moment and make it special.

5. 222 Judas on a Pole - "There's more than one kinda family Bones."

Booth comes to tell Brennan her father has killed the Deputy Director of the FBI. Booth shows real understanding in this scene saying he's sorry Brennan had to watch her family drive away again. The way he looks at her and touches her face - they seem like they will kiss but of course they don't. Very very emotionally charged scene!!

4. 210 Headless Witch in the Woods - "You're not alone."

After admitting to Brennan that he's never been in a relationship like this before with a woman he offers his partner a "guy hug" following her tragic relationship with the murderer. Brennan's hesitation to accept his hug for a second implies she thinks Booth wants to move their relationship forwards and only when he says "Hey, your my partners, it's a guy hug. Take it." does she allow him to take her into his arms. I always think this hug shows how much Booth wants to take care of Brennan - she's had a bad day and he wants to be there for her.

3. 205 The Truth in The Lye - "There are certain people that you just can't sleep with".

Brennan asks Booth how it went with Rebecca.

Booth: "You know what Bones, it might be all anthropology to you but there are certain people that you just can't sleep with. I mean you can pretend that it's just sex , you can lie to yourself and say it's all good, but there's just too many strings and too much at stake.......too much to loose."
Brennan: "Yeah, I can see that."

The looks they share in this scene are so sexually charged. And when Brennan says:

Brennan: "I'm sure Rebecca's not your only option for satisfying biological urges".

The looks become totally HOT! I always wonder what would have happened in this scene if Angela and Hodgins hadn't walked in.

2. 122 Women in Limbo - "I know who you are."

The breakdown of Brennan and the hug which follows from Booth is such a tearjerker of a moment and although the scene really focuses on Brennan and her family it (and the whole episode) really says a lot about her relationship with Booth. Booth has been protecting her and taking care of her all day and the fact that she can just completely cry her eyes out in his presence shows how much trust she has in Booth. The way he stands back and lets her say what she needs to say, repeating her name and is there for her, taking her into his arms at just the right moment and saying "I know who you are.....". It's just so precious.

1. 304 Secret in the Soil. "That's our relationship, coffee."

So many of the season 3 BB moments seemed contrived but their therapy scenes were all terrific. I love this scene because it's not just a cute BB moment - it's probably the first (and only!?) scene where they are forced to consider their relationship.....not just as it is working together, but also how it would be if they no longer worked together.

In the scene they discuss the closing of a case and this makes Brennan jump to the defence of Booth when Sweets starts "questioning his humanity". Sweets says they are protective of each other and complement each other - "He means that we complete each other as a team." Booth seems awkward at this and Sweets then says there is "clearly a very deep emotional attachment between you two". Booth and Brennan say there is a line they don't cross "it doesn't even have to be there" and Sweets asks why Booth thinks that what he means:

Booth: "If there were no more murders, I probably would not.... even.... see her."

It takes Booth so long to get these words out....he really struggles, even just with the thought of not seeing her.

Sweets is also perfect in this scene. The way he looks up subtly from his notepad when they Booth says "What?" is just superb.

The words, the looks, the underlying tension, the possibility of a relationship beyond their work - it's all just perfect.

Booth and Brennan Mood Theme!!!

Hurray - I'm finished - *drum roll* - here is my Booth and Brennan Mood Theme for the amazing show BONES!!! The mood theme encompasses moments from season 1 to 3 including some of my favourite B+B scenes. Haven't gotten around to putting it on my own eljay yet but I will once I get around to making a new header to go along with the Bones love.

201. The Titan on the Track review

Car chat - Brennan says she likes having her brother back and Booth tells her "Bones why don't you have a, you know, a little faith in me, ok. I've got a little background in the case, I'm gonna find your father." At the crime scene Brennan comments that Cam hit on Booth.

'Slappy BB' - when Booth turns the monitor on the platform towards him Brennan grabs and turns it back. In the diner Brennan steals food from Booth's plate - he slaps her away but she eats anyway.

Diner - BB have lunch and Booth explains why Cam makes a good head of forensics. "Angela says that you and Cam had a sexual relationship does that affect your view of her?" to which Booth replies "Wildly outta line, just so you know that!" Booth tells her McVicar is dead and she tears up.

Stake out! Booth puts his arm over Brennan to hold her in her car seat (twice!) and they "converse". Booth asks Brennan if she visited her mothers grave and tells her he visits graves. She taps him on the shoulder slowly and asks Excuse me, I'm curious. When you talk to the head stone, what do you say?. :) Booth puts his arm on Brennan's back, kind of half around her, as he leads her from the alley away from the drug dealer.

Booth: "Quit telling Bones who you think I've slept with..." (To Angela)

Booth sort of shows his dedication to Bones right away with Cam telling her "Bones doesn't intimidate! You've seen the way she stares at human remains before she makes a decision? Your human remains and she hasn't made her decision yet."

B+B get veryclose when they talk outside the interrogation room - Brennan tries to get Booth to force a confession, she grabs him, hands on both sides of him, "come on Booth, the part of you with the big gambling problem must love this idea ..... "right there, that's the reason you didn't get Cam's job!"

At the end Booth takes Brennan to her mothers grave and watches as she speaks with her mum and finds a silver dolphin her father left. When Brennan tells Booth he is tainting evidence after he touches the dolphin he says "It's not that kind of evidence Bones, it's evidence of something else, something that can't be tainted. And when she looks at the dolphin and says "It's beautiful." Booth seems to look towards Brennan before replying in agreement, "Yeah."

202. Mother and Child in the Bay review

Booth hands Brennan her jacket and follows her around The Jeff' as she gets her stuff together. He mocks her for having no TV, she says he doesn't read journals, he reminds Brennan that Cam is the boss and they generally bicker like crazy! When Rebecca calls Booth takes the call and Brennan tries to interrupt and pull Booth towards the exit. Even in the car the bickering continues as Booth complains about Parker spending time with Rebecca new boyfriend, Brennan doesn't understand and just thinks Booth is jealous:
Booth: "You have kids and we'll talk!"
Brennan: "It's a lot to ask for a little conversation!"

Brennan arrives at the diner whilst Booth is talking to Parker. She tries to get Booth to talk about the fact Parker is spending time with Drew, saying "New boyfriend spending a lot of time with your son?......I'm sorry.....It must be hard not getting to see him when you want to." Booth at first changes the subject but finally tells her how he's feeling. It's a good moment where Brennan shows an understanding of (people?) Booth.

At The Jeff' Brennan asks Cam if she wants children. They go back and forth until Cam asks if Brennan is pregnant, she looks at Booth and says no and a puzzled looking Booth asks, "Why are you looking at me?" His face is priceless!

At the water Brennan (diving) throws recovered golf balls at Booth.

As B+B again bicker in the car she brings up a bible "myth" and Booth says "You're gonna throw religion in my face right now?" When Brennan explains the story Booth asks "are you sure you're not religious? She says "Science all the way....Hey, even an empiricist can have heart Booth."

At the dinner B/B chat as Parker arrives with Rebecca and Drew:
Brennan: "Faith and hope right?"
Booth: "Right."
Brennan: "Angela threw in love!
Booth: "Love is good."

203. The Boy in the Shroud review

When Cam and Brennan's battle goes too far and Cam threatens to fire Brennan, Booth lets Cam know, "I'm with Bones, Cam. All the way! Don't doubt that for a second!"

Booth tries get Brennan to think about her relationship with Cam when he talks about the psychology of foster kids in a conversation he starts with "Do you have a list like Carter?" He talks about how foster kids "are really hard on themselves.....feel so alone in this world they loose that knack of trusting other people.............have a hard time letting themselves off the hook, they grow up with control issues..." Booth also lets Brennan talk with Kelly alone - just as he did with the other foster kid, Sean back in Boy in the Bush.

At the end Brennan talks to Cam to resolve their issues - she does it because of what Booth said to her about foster children, "Booth says.....he reads people....."

**204. The Blonde in the Game - 2nd Epps episode review

Booth asks Brennan what kind of pet she'd get and she says a pig. Hodgins tells Zack - "Booth thinks we should get together and buy Brennan a pet."

There are some lovely B+B moments in this episode. Subtle things like Booth holding up the 'Police Line - Do Not Cross' tape for her to walk under, Brennan tapping Booth on the shoulder, Booth slapping Brennan away as she asks, "Where's the siren?" The scene in Brennan's office where they discuss the religious medal is all dark and kind of ambient lighting - it seems like it's evening and they are alone and it's kinda sexy. Later at the lab Brennan struggles to focus and when she says she can't speak to the parents Booth is understanding.

Booth gives Brennan a gun without her even having to ask as they enter the abandoned postal building. Of course she ends up killing someone ..... to save Booth. Booth is there for her at the end to show his understanding and he gives her Jasper the pig. The way they look at each other is really intense in this scene and it seems that this connection, this shared weight, has bonded them in some unique way. (I swear Brennan looks down at Booth's lips in this scene!!!!)
Booth: "I got something for ya."
Brennan: "A bottle of hard liquor?"
Booth: "The next best thing."
(He holds out his hand, palm up – it is a small, plastic toy piglet.)
Booth: "Hmm? (grins) Meet Jasper."
(Brennan looks at the pig and her face softens. Her eyes meet Booth’s and she laughs and reaches out, taking the pig.)
Booth: You’re gonna be okay."
Brennan: "Yeah?"
Booth: "Definitely." ♥ ♥

**205. The Truth in the Lye review

Brennan calls Booth and Rebecca answers - "You don't think she thought ...." Of course, Brennan does 'think' ..... and Booth repeatedly denies he slept with Rebecca, first telling Brennan that Rebecca popped over for a comic for Parker. After Cam mentions to Booth he is back with Rebecca he asks Brennan why she was gossiping about him. She talks about "biological urges:
Brennan: "If you're not helpless then why did you sleep with her?
Booth: "Oh, I really don't recall saying that I did."
Brennan: "Well you didn't have to, I could hear it in your voice. I might as well have walked in on you having sex."
Booth: "Well you didn't and we weren't."
Brennan: "It's nothing to be ashamed of Booth. Humans act upon a hierarchy of needs and sex is very highly ranked. It's an anthropological inevitability."
Afterwards Angela comments that they are quiet and although Brennan says, "We're not, not talking" Booth requests two lists of possible victims' families saying, "we'll split up." *g*

At the FBI Booth admits he asked Rebecca to marry him and Brennan talks about sex being just sex ("all mammals need it") to which Booth says, "there is nothing 'just' about sex!"

When Booth decides to tell the women about their two timing husband Brennan stalls even though "you've been nagging me to do it for two days and now you get cold feet". Booth then throws her earlier comment back in her face, "It's an anthropological inevitability for women to gossip and nag!"

Brennan talks to Rebecca in this episode showing a real understanding of Booth and his feelings. She ask Rebecca why she didn't want to marry Booth whom she considers, ""an ideal candidate (for a husband), strong alpha male, good protective instincts." And tells Rebecca, "I think Booth thinks you didn't marry him because you think he wouldn't make a good father....he worries about it himself, what he does for a living, his past as a sniper..."

At the end Brennan asks Booth how things worked out with Rebecca:
Booth: "You know what Bones, it might be all anthropology to you but there are certain people that you just can't sleep with. I mean you can pretend that it's just sex, you can lie to yourself and say it's all good, but, er, there's just too many strings and too much at stake, you know.......too much to loose."
Brennan: "Yeah, I can see that."
Booth: "So, erm, I'd appreciate your support."
Brennan: "I will and if you should slip I will keep my mouth shut about it."
Booth: "Thank you, but I mean it's not like I'm gonna...."
Brennan: "I mean with anybody. I'm sure Rebecca's not your only option for satisfying biological urges". ♥

206. The Girl in Suite 2103 review

B+B start out in the elevator "You like this song?" :)

Booth has a "nice moment, me translating for you" *g*

In the bar Brennan teases Booth that the girl wants to take him upstairs. They have a great partner moment as they take down the guy, Ramos and his bodyguard with Booth throwing her a gun.

Hodgins realises Booth slept with Cam and Angela also realises too as Cam asks Booth too coffee - Booth, however, puts his arm around Brennan and takes her for pie and coffee where Cam joins them later.

At the end Brennan tells Booth he can't trust Cam - he says Cam is a cop and just wants to catch the bad guy - but Brennan says Booth "did the right thing."

207. The Girl with the Curl review

Brennan is very gentle when telling Booth the victim is a child. He later apologises to Brennan for laughing when they discover the paper is an ice cream wrapper. They seem very aware of doing the right thing in front of each other.

At the lab Brennan seems to notice Booth and Cam be awkward. She doesn't say anything though (unlike Angela and Hodgins who are pretty openly mocking the pair by this episode).

At the dance class Brennan admits "I always wanted to take dance but I was always so gawky and uncoordinated." Booth is surprised and leads her, hand on her back to a seat. The mother of the girl who turns out to be the killer then asks them which child is theirs - assuming that B+B are a couple. After leaving her to talk to the girls Booth returns to haul up up to her feet from a sitting position.

At the end B+B discuss the case:
Booth: ""You know Bones I like to think that somewhere deep inside people really know what's important."
Brennan: "It's hard to believe when you see women trying to disguise or change themselves. I never understood that."
Booth: "Well, no of course you wouldn't."
Brennan: "Why?"
Booth: "It's just, you know, someone who looks like ... you ... well .... wouldn't. Just because of the way you look."
Brennan: "I don't understand what way do I look?"
Booth: "Well, you know, you ... you're structured very well."
Brennan: "As are you."
They exchange looks until Booth sees Cam leaving and stands to excuse himself. Of course he changes his mind and decides ot stay and help Bones with the paper work, suggesting they ditch the donuts and order in .... "thai food" ♥

**208. Woman in the Sand review

Right at the start Booth gets protective of his Bones by questioning why they were brought out to Vegas "on the word of a prostitute" - Brennan tells him "you're judging!" and he is annoyed saying "I'm backing you up!" He grabs onto Brennan as they walk down the slope to steady himself. After they find a second body and Brennan mentions heading back to the lab with the remains, Booth looks upset saying "you can't leave ... " as Cam listens on. Booth even closes the laptop lid on Cam after they agree Brennan will stay.

After questioning the victims husband Booth questions the wife beating theory of Brennan. Then as they enter the casino / hotel and Brennan remembers Booth is a gambling addict. "You can't be here, you're a degenerate gambler!" Booth tells her "Former gambler. Not degenerate. I've been through the program!" Brennan holds onto Booth as they walk, "Do you need to sit down?" Booth tells her craps was his game and when Booth finds Brennan counting cards he hauls her away from the 21 table.

Whilst on the phone with Hodgins Brennan slaps Booth's hand away from betting papers causing Hodgins to ask "Am I interrupting something!?" B+B also meet one of Booth army buddies, an old gambling buddy.

When they discover the fight clubs protective!Booth tries to keep Brennan out of the case but she talks him into helping. He comes up with an undercover story where they are "newlyweds, takings sin city by storm" suggesting Brennan can play "a school teacher" ... "not the spinster kind who lives with his sister, but, you know the hot one who makes the boys crazy" He hands her a dress he "picked out" and they bicker as she dresses in the bathroom until she enters the room in the dress leaving Booth somewhat stunned. As Brennan speaks on the phone with Cam Booth zips up her dress and "That's hot!" When Cam asks what is hot Brennan covers saying "Vegas, Vegas is hot!"

Undercover "engaged to be engaged" Tony and Roxie go to the gym and Tony spanks Roxie on the butt as they enter causing Brennan to throw her arm around Tony saying "That was completely over the top." T0 which Booth simply grins and says"Well, you know what, you play your role and I'll play mine." When talking to Sloppy Joe Roxie tells Joe "My man's in great shape" as she leans on him and rubs her hand over his chest, causing ~~Tony~~ Booth to say "Easy there honey!" She gets her own back and spanks her tiger as he shows off his boxing talent. And when it seems Joe isn't giving up the location of the fight clubs Roxie pulls a wad of cash from her cleavage and just about blows Booth's mind! "That was amazing! What got into you?"

Brennan admits in the car that she "couldn't sleep last night so I snuck off to play a little craps." This seems to imply she was sneaking away from Booth and the same room, the same bed???

Before they see the first fight Roxie hooks her arm with Tony's and Brennan chews gum and looks hella flirty. After the cop punches out Booth, Brennan ices his wound (having taken off her heals!). She then volunteers Booth to fight.

The fight is HOT! Brennan bets on Booth and helps him win after which she throws her arms around him even though he is covered in blood. She later admits she bet on him because of her "beginners luck":
Brennan: "I haven't lost on anything since I've been here. So I figured if I bet on you then .."
Booth: "I couldn't loose."
Brennan: "Sounds silly right."
Booth: "It sounds familiar. Thanks."

**209 Alien in a Spaceship review

Booth lifts the 'police line-do not cross' banner for her again!

When the 'experts' on the gravedigger question how B+B can learn anything new from the bodies of the boys Booth states, "Dr Brennan, she's pretty good at making dead people talk to her."

Brennan annoys Booth by suggesting "you know the gravedigger is a lot like God" in the car. After they discover that the GD only meant to take one boy Booth snarks - "The gravedigger is not God Bones, because God does not make mistakes!"

When Brennan goes missing it is Booth who gets the call .... and he looks shaken (even though he's with Cam). The awesome shot of him as he holds out his phone replaying the message to the GD experts shows pissed!Booth. And once they find their crime scene Agent Booth never misses a beat dishing out the roles to the team.

Of course, it's not long before Angry!Booth is back - when he slams the journalist on the desk in his office he says "that deadline comes around and my partner is still under ground, I will end you!" He is even angry with the squints: "This is Bones ... and Hodgins. You really think they didn't find a way to extend their air supply!? .... You wanna give up on 'em because of math!? ..... I tried all the dumb guy normal stuff, all right, that's why I'm here talking to the brain trust ... think eggheads, work it!!"

The image of Booth running to the site of the explosion = amazing! ♥ As are the smiles they share after he has dug her up. And then, after he ordeal Booth caves and takes her to church with him:
Brennan: "I’m okay with you thanking God for saving me and Hodgins. "
Booth: "That’s not what I thanked him for. I thanked him for saving...all of us. It was all of us. Every. Single. One. You take one of us away, and you and Hodgins are in that hole forever. And I’m thankful for that."
Brennan: "I knew you wouldn’t give up. "
Booth: "I knew you wouldn’t give up. "
They share a look - mutual understanding and total and utter faith and belief in one another.

210. Headless Witch in the Woods review

Protective!Booth is present in the woods at the start when he tells Brennan, "you stay close, all right Bones? I don’t want you to get caught out here when it gets dark. Okay? Bones? Bones? Where the hell are you? Bones?" He lowers her down into the hole where the headless body lays.

When they talk to the victims brother, Will, he and Brennan connect as they both lost their parents. Booth quietly watches them bond. In the car after he asks a thoughtful looking Brennan, "You okay?". Brennan ponders what her life would have been like if Russ has raised her. Booth tells her, "But you know what Will said. He was right. You turned out okay." Brennan admits she is going to have coffee with Will:
Booth: "Oh, that was quick."
Brennan: "He understands something no one else I know does. People need connection, Booth. Even me. Obviously, you have one with Cam."
Booth: "What?" (innocent face)
Brennan: "I thought you’d mention it. I mean, isn’t that what partners do, tell each other about their lives?"
Booth: "Wait a second. Look, Bones, I...."
Brennan: "Sorry. I’m sorry. I forgot how self-conscious you are talking about sex."
Booth: "I am not. I’m...."
Booth never really gives her an answer more dodges her questions. But he doesn't lie this time - like he did when Brennan asked him if he slept with Rebecca.

Brennan teases Booth again as she leaves for her date telling Booth, "I can compartmentalize......same as you." as Cam walks over. When Brennan is out with Will she does her "Booth says....." in a new way, this time saying "My partner warned me to stay focused on the case, so..."

At the lab B+B discuss the case and whether the victim cheated on his girlfriend, Lori.
Brennan: "Lori was not Graham’s only girlfriend. He had lots of girlfriends, but he somehow managed to keep them secret from each other."
Booth: "So what would happen if a very jealous Lori found out?"
Brennan: "I don’t know. That’s more your territory."
Booth: "What? What? What, am I cheating?"
Brennan: (smiles): "I just meant that you use psychology. You’re very touchy. Perhaps because of all your skulking around."
Booth: "I am discreet, okay? It’s different. A gentleman is discreet, okay?"
Zack: "What are we talking about?"
Brennan: ""Nothing that concerns you."

Of course when we next see B+B in the car Booth finally admits he has been seeing Cam:
Brennan: "You’re very touchy lately, Booth."
Booth: "Look, Bones, I don’t know why I didn’t tell you about Cam."
Brennan: "Did I mention Cam?"
Booth: "I just didn’t want it to get weird, I guess."
Brennan: "Weird?"
Booth: "We’re partners, you know? Together all the time, right? You’re a woman and I’m a man. I never had a relationship like this where we were...like two guys, except you’re not, you know, a guy. Yeah"
Brennan: "No. No, I’m not. Should I feel odd about....wanting to hang out with Will?"
Booth: "No, of course not. You know, because essentially, I mean, you’re a guy like me. But not really."
Brennan: "That would mean that, to me, you are essentially a woman. Yeah, I can see that."
Booth: "No, no, no, I’d prefer not to be a woman, if you don’t mind."
Brennan: "I’m merely trying to follow your reasoning, Booth."
This conversation sees B+B sort of ask 'what is our relationship?' It's the first time they've really talked about this.

When they learn Will is the killer Brennan is on a date with him and Booth has to make the arrest. He apologises to Brennan and he doesn't arrest Will until Brennan finally says, "What are you waiting for Booth?" and he watches her walk from the restaurant with tears in her eyes.

Of course once the job is done he returns to the lab to check on Brennan:
Brennan: "I sure know how to pick’em, don’t I?"
Booth: "Well, you know. Our perceptions are always colored by what we hope and what we fear, what we love. We do the best we can."
Brennan: "I’m afraid my best isn’t good enough. I can read bones, not people."
Booth: "Well, you had no trouble seeing through me."
Brennan:: "It’s a good thing I like being alone."
Booth:: "You know what? Bones, you’re not alone. Okay? Come here."
Brennan: "Booth."
Booth: "Hey, you’re my partner. Okay? It’s a guy hug. Take it."

**211. Judas on a Pole review

Starts with Booth dragging Bones out of Zack's meeting to defend his doctorate. On the rooftop Bones makes a joke, saying "He's very dead." and B+B banter away.

When Russ shows up and tells Brennan he thinks someone is following him she tells her brother: "I spend half my time with a sniper-trained FBI Agent. I feel safe." When Booth enters hearing Brennan sending her brother to her place Booth says: "Don't drink the Moroccan beer, it tastes like earwax." This suggestion that Booth has been spending time at Brennan's place is soon followed with a similar line from Brennan when they go into Delaney's apartment and Brennan tells Booth, "His place is much better than yours. Ten times better." indicating she has been to his place more than the one time in season one that we've seen her there! Also at Delaney's place, Brennan also tries out "some of the black ops stuff you taught me." Again suggesting B+B have been hanging out a lot.

B+B learn the victim is linked to Brennan's parents and Booth sends her home, "Okay. You go home and you be with your brother, alright?" Booth later shows up he tells Brennan and Russ it was their father who killed Delaney.

When Father Coulter shows up with Russ to give Brennan a "private message", Russ tells him "She’s just gonna tell Agent Booth anyway, might as well let him listen."

When Booth learns about the dolphin and realises it's an inside FBI job he tells Brennan her Dad killed Delaney to send a message:
Booth: "Don’t mess with Max Keenan’s kids."
Brennan: "Am I supposed to like that?"
Booth: Ya know, Bones. I’ll take a stand up crook over a crooked cop any day of the week."

When Booth learns Russ has broken parole he meets with him, they are shot at. Brennan asks why they were together to which Booth covers with "A man's gotta eat!" When Kirby suspends Booth he goes to the Jeff' and sulks. The squints rally around to help him, "Anyone that wants to help Booth, raise their hands." Brennan links arms with Booth in the hallway and tells him she "We need my father to give us the rest of the evidence he stole from that safety deposit box ... I'll drive." When Father Coulter tells them Booth has him under surveillance Brennan is pissed and they bicker in her office:
Booth: "No, you don’t. You got me. I’m your gun. You want equipment, here (he hold up handcuffs and puts them on the table) have these, alright. New division of labor. I shoot ‘em, you cuff ‘em!"
Brennan: "Why didn’t you tell me you had Father Coulter under surveillance?"
Booth: "It is my job to find your dad and put him in prison."
Brennan: "And you don’t think I’ll help?"
Booth: "What? He’s your father. I really don’t think I should have to ask you to help."
Brennan: "He abandoned me, Booth. And that’s the best thing you can say about him."
Booth: "Your father lives by a certain code, and part of that code is defending his family by whatever means necessary."
Brennan: "You mean killing people and setting their corpses on fire."
Booth: "Any means necessary sorta covers that."
Brennan: "You respect him?" (surprised)
Booth: "I’m just saying, in his world, he’s a very honorable man."
Brennan: "That’s ridiculous. There’s only one world; it’s this one."
Booth: "Would that be the one world where you’re mad at me for trying to catch your father or the other world where you actually want him caught?" (raising his voice and moving towards Brennan)
Brennan: "Neither."
Booth: "Well you have to pick one."
Brennan: "Either."
Booth: "Oh, umm."
Brennan:"Booth!"
Their bickering is interrupted by Caroline from who they learn Kirby is the bent cop and the go to Brennan's apartment but instead of finding Russ they find blood. Brennan hugs Booth and he holds her with her head buried in his shoulder.

Back in the car Booth tries to reassure Brennan:
Brennan: "It’s against the law…us not calling in a murder."
Booth: "It wasn’t a murder. It was a bloodstain."
Brennan: "That much blood…it’s mur-it’s murder."
Booth: "We call it in, the next thing is - we find ourselves under arrest."
Brennan: "That had to be Russ’s blood."
Booth: "You got a sample, right? We’ll check the DNA at the lab. Until then, hey - who’s the one that always says ‘don’t jump to conclusions’?"
Brennan: "Yeah, you’re right. Thanks. I wish you wouldn’t keep letting me hug you when I get scared."
Booth: "Hey, I get scared and I’ll hug you. We’ll call it even."

When Bones leaves the lab without him Booth leaves Cam sharpish saying "No, she can’t be going places without me. Not when it’s open season on Brennan’s." Via Caroline he learns Father Coulter is Max as Brennan is hearing the fact from her father. As Booth pulls up Max and Russ are pulling away and Max tells Booth, "You take care of her." His gun drawn Booth doesn't shoot - how can he when Brennan is pleading him not too. He goes to sit next to Bones on the bench and touches her shoulder.

When Zack gets his doctorate and the job at The Jeff' the squints head to the diner. Booth calls Brennan outside to tell her he got reinstated at work and about the second body. Brennan realises her father killed Kirby.
Booth: "I’m sorry..that you had to go through it again. Watching your family drive off, leaving you behind. I’m sorry."
Brennan: "My father is, is..."
Booth: "He’s your dad and he loves you."
Brennan: "You know, I’m just...I’m just one of those people who doesn’t get to be in a family."
Booth: (he places his finger underneath her chin and turns her face to his) " Listen, Bones, hey. There’s more than one kind of family."

**212. The Man in the Cell review

At the prison when Brennan is grabbed by a prisoner, Booth places both arms around her and puts himself between her and the cellmates. As they interrogate Caroline Epps in Booth's office Brennan says "We all have secrets in our past, Mrs. Epps. Admittedly, not as bizarre as yours, but you shouldn’t risk your life just because your embarrassed to tell your boyfriend the truth." Booth seems amused at Brennan's words, however, his grin soon turns to concern as he tells Brennan:
Booth: "You’re not safe either."
Brennan: "But I’m not unhinged. I can take care of myself."
Booth: "You and Epps-- Okay, it’s personal. You’re everything that he hates."
Brennan: "And what is that exactly?"
Booth: "Well, you know, you’re a smart, strong, confident woman. (Brennan smiles.) And, uh, figured him out. You made him feel powerless so he’s gonna want to, uh, prove that, uh, you’re weak and inferior. So, you are not to gout on your own, ever."
I LOVE the way Booth says that last line to her - slow and like he really means it!

Booth asks Cam to double security because he is scared Epps will go after Brennan (he does spare a moment for Cam but it's Cam who kisses him!) He then walks in on Brennan with the HUGE GUN!
Booth: "Where the hell did you get that?"
Brennan: "The mall."
Booth: "The mall?"
Brennan: "Yeah, it’s pretty big, right? Bigger than the one you have."
Booth: "Excuse me. It’s not the size that matters. It’s how you use it."
Brennan: "Well, I think size is pretty important."
Booth: "The point is that you shouldn’t have a gun in the first place!"
Angela: If you do have one, bigger is always better.
Booth: You’re not helping!
Angela: Right, yeah. This does seem like a private conversation. Angela leaves.
Booth: Yeah, private. Okay."
God bless Angela and her innuendos!!

Still at the lab they have the bone shards and when heart turns up and they work out the curry tie in and Booth practically shoves Brennan from the room, as she batters his hands away:
Booth: "You know, I could have the Bureau pull your license. "
Brennan: "Yeah, and I could assign Zack as your forensic anthropologist."
We see Bones with her gun and a lovely bit of fridge continuity from TBitL when B+B find Caroline Epps' head in a fridge (which Booth checks for booby traps!)

In the car the next day Booth and Brennan have an interesting discussion about killers:
Brennan: "I don’t know how one draws moral distinctions between killers."
Booth: "Listen, Bones, alright, there are crimes of passion, alright, crimes committed out of desperation, which are usually followed by remorse or acknowledgment of human failing. The key word here is “human.”"
Brennan: "The reasons for killing someone are unimportant. It- The life that’s taken is all that matters."

Of course right after this we see Booth looking for Parker at the fairground. When he finds Parker he is so angry with Epps that he shouts at Parker and shakes him. It's not until Brennan lays a hand on Booth's shoulder that he calms and hugs Parker apologising to his frightened son.

Booth calls Cam to cut into the head and hangs up on her. Of course he then feels guilty when the poison blows up in her face. At the hospital Booth looks to Brennan to translate what the doctor is saying every time she speaks. As Brennan watches Booth suffer she stands beside him and says, "Considering the relationship between you and Cam, I’d like to say the right thing, Booth . . . I don’t know what it is. Usually I’d-I’d ask you or Angela." To which Booth simply replies, "You just said it. Thanks." Booth stays at the hospital until Brennan returns with news and then decides he'll join Brennan and in a cute as hell attempt to take control says, "I'll drive."

When they find Caroline's body and the poison he man handles Brennan from the room and protects Zack from the explosion. He then goes to the hospital to see Cam telling Brennan to "go home and get some sleep". But he realises as soon as Cam mentions plaster dust that Epps is going after Brennan and we see B+B with guns on Epps at Brennan's apartment. Booth drops Epps from the balcony and when Brennan says, "I wish you'd let me shoot him!" A dejected Booth says, "No you don't!" and walks out saying nothing further but punching the door as he leaves.

Saturday and Brennan goes to find Booth at the fairground with Parker. No reason is given and Booth never asks why she is there but they sit on the bench and talk:
Booth: "You know, what happened to Cam happened because...we had a personal relationship. "
Brennan: "Had?"
Booth: "Yeah. People who work in...high-risk situations, they can’t be involved romantically because it leads to things like what happened."
Brennan: "High-risk situations."
Booth: "Every single day it’s with us. There’s this line, and we can’t cross it. You know what I’m saying?"
Brennan: "Yes. I understand. "

213. The Girl in the Gator review

Booth shoots the ice cream truck clown and Brennan has to work with Sully whilst Booth sees a shrink. We don't see much of B+B together at all apart from in phone calls. She is annoyed she might have to "break in this Agent Sullivan" to which Booth tells her "You never had to break me in!".

When Sully leaves her to work the crime scene alone in Florida she tells him "Booth helps!" to which Sully states "cos Booth can't relax!"

After getting to know Sully for a while Brennan calls Booth to ask "Can he really do all the things he says he can do?" Booth seems a little jealous that Brennan is working with someone else but tells Brennan Sully lost a partner so to cut him some slack.

It is obvious that Booth has told Sully to look after Brennan when he tells her "Take my lead!" before they find Monty dead.

Meanwhile in therapy Booth says his issues are not related to women, "My partner is a woman okay, a woman who needs my help ..." He is desperate to get back to work but finally opens up to Wyatt about Epps and his 50th 'kill'.

214. The Man in the Mansion review

Brennan asks Booth, "Do you have therapy today?" and she mocks him for wearing a "staid" tie. He explains to her that, "Gordon Gordon says, you know, that the wild socks and fancy ties are all just, you know, quiet rebellions, helping me suppress other impulses .... apparently all the other issues have to just rise to the top." When Brennan asks him why he calls his therapist Gordon Gordon - asking is it "like James, James Bond...." ...Bond, James Bond!" :)

Brennan tells Booth, "you know, you should ask your therapist about your issues with rich people!"

Brennan is really smiley and playful with Booth this episode. Maybe due to her love life!? She watches Sully plays basketball and asks Angela whether she should make a move on Sully. Meanwhile Sully asks Booth for advice:
Booth: "You just don't get it."
Sully: "I'm asking for guy advice ... you are a guy. What's not to get?"
Booth: "First of all guys, they don't ask for advice and second of all I'm not gonna help you get my partner into bed."
Sully: "Why not? It's not like you want her ....(Booth looks awkward and doesn't answer) unless .... do you want her?!?"
Booth: "Nah, come on. Bones, well, you know, she's my partner!"
Sully: "That is why you're in psychiatric treatment because you have the hots for your partner."
Booth: "It's not psychiatric treatment okay, it's an evaluation! Big difference!"
Sully: "I can tell that Brennan is the go slow type but you gotta help me out on how slow because too slow is worse than not slow enough ... "

Booth is uptight the whole episode - therapy - rich people - Hodgins screws with the case - Sully and Brennan - > Wyatt tells him to revert to the flashy ties and belt buckle which is "a modern day cod piece, it forces the eye to the groin"

When he goes to get Brennan for a new case he is back in the flashy socks and tie, "all escapes from my socio-ecomonic rage .. you know they help me deal with the irritations of people who are more privileged". Ironically, Brennan picks this moment to tell him "I slept with Sully last night." To which he awkwardly replies, "Oh I thought you already er ... " ... "No last night." Booth looks both awkward and a little sad as he stands and says to himself "Yeah, I'm gonna need a flashier tie!"

**215. Bodies in the Book review

Booth manhandles Brennan from the lab telling her publicist Andy is not based on him (yeah right!) and that she has someone, Sully, but that "he's sorta small" *g*

Booth confesses he has read Brennan's latest book, "You have time to write it I have time to read it." And when they find a murder victim killed like the first victim in Brennan's book at the marina protective!Booth shows up. He takes her to one side at the lab, hand on her back to guide her and asks, "Bones, how you holding up?" When Sully shows up Booth tells him "I got it covered Sully!" and seems kind of annoyed Sully is there. Sully asks Booth if he can help with the case:
Brennan: I don't need to be protected!"
Booth AND Sully: "Yes you do!"
After the "testosterone spill on aisle three!" Booth agrees to let Sully look at the fan mail and help with profiling.

Even when Brennan is still denying the connection between her book and the case to the squints she does say to Booth, "There are two other murders in the book." Booth looks concerned saying, "I know.". Before the scene ends body number two has shown up. As the triangle of B+B+Sully discuss how the murders may be connected Brennan gets agitated and walks out of Booth's office. Booth tells Sully, "She wasn't this emotional before you showed up!" To which Sully just hassles Booth, "I thought you weren't interested!?" Booth reply is simple, "I don't need that okay, believe me, okay!?"

Brennan and Sully have a fight and Brennan tells him they are "just having a fling." Booth picks up on the tension at the FBI building and asks Sully "Everything with you two, er ... never mind?" As Brennan interviews Oliver both he and Brennan ask "Did he / you say Brennanites?" *g* When Brennan is due to leave for her reading she and Sully fight again and Booth sits in the middle looking amused but saying, "I don't wanna get involved." He agrees to take Brennan to her signing - "Fine! ... Fine! ... Fine!"

When a fan runs for an autograph Booth pulls a gun on him! He leads Brennan, hand on her back and tells her, "Far be it for me to stick my nose into your bedroom but I've known Sully a long time and, believe me, he's one of the good guys" ...."I know Sully, Booth" .... "and I know you, somebody gets too close and you just wanna push 'em away!" He later tells Sully, "Listen, don't let her bully you into leaving, man! Alright!?"

Booth and Brennan discuss the ending of the case versus the ending of the book. Sully arrives and tells them "You guys make a great team." Booth reluctantly leaves them alone and after speaking to Hodgins looks back to see Brennan and Sully kissing.

216. Boneless Bride in the River review

Booth dons his COCKY belt buckle for the first time. :) I love that it shows up when Brennan is seeing Sully - poor guy needs to reinforce his ego! Booth tells Brennan his therapy is going well saying it is helping him deal with work and when Brennan says, "We do everything together! What exactly do you have to contend with on the job that I don't?" Booth laughs and says, "You Bones. You don't have to contend with you."

Booth looks kinda sad when Brennan heads off on vacation with Sully and spends much of the episode trying to get her involved in the case. He goes to the boat to get her several times, interrupting her vacation. The first time telling Sully, "I got a bone." To which Sully looks annoyed and says, "Tell me about it!"

Angela tells Booth, "You're a romantic of a narrow kind, you live to catch bad guys. Sully lives wide." Booth seems kinda jealous, "I live wide too. Far and wide, right. There's nothing wider than Seeley Booth."

Booth returns to the boat with the Chinese book and Sully and Brennan decide to "pitch in" to help solve the case.

In the car B+B bicker and Booth gets annoyed with Bones telling her, "You know we talked about you in therapy!" but he won't tell her what was said. They bicker a LOT for the rest of the episode and have to pretend to be brother and sister when they visit a Chinese lady who grabs Booth's cheek.

Sully tells Brennan he is going away to the Caribbean on his boat and asks if she will go with him. She tells Booth and he looks slightly stunned but when she asks him directly "You think I should go?" he finally manages to look at her and says, "Yeah. Yeah, you know, it's one year out of your life huh. I mean, a person's gotta live wide. This is kinda narrow."

In the car waiting for Sully to signal, Booth tells Brennan, "You know, Sully is a nice guy ... I'm just trying to be nice okay ... I'm complementing the fact you got a good one this time .... the physicist who couldn't tie his shoes, oh, the former professor who was, er, jealous of your success, should I stop ... the guy you found on the internet who ended up being some kind of recruiter for a cult, oh and this is my favourite, the guy who cut of his own brothers head because he thought he was possessed by a witch! ... look I'm just saying, a guy who wants to take you away from all this on a sail boat, that's a step up."

As Booth questions the murderer Sully talks to Brennan:
Sully: "You know, Booth is a really good guy."
Brennan: "He said the same thing about you."
Sully: "Really? Because I figured he was the one talking you outta going with me."
Brennan: "No, he told me to go."
But Brennan tells Sully she is not going to go with him. When Sully asks why, "Please, tell me what is holding you here." - Brennan looks up and flicks her eyes towards Booth through the glass, she looks away and says nothing.

As Brennan watches Sully sail away she turns to see Booth. He puts him arm around her as they walk along:
Brennan: "What are you doing here?"
Booth: "I'm waving goodbye. See?" (he waves)
Brennan: "What do you want?"
Booth: "Breakfast."
Brennan: "I'm not hungry."
Booth: "Oh, come on, huh? What are you gonna vomit when we come across one of those, uh, horrific cases?"
Brennan: "I don't vomit."
Booth: "Give it time, Bones, okay? Give it time. Everything happens eventually."
Brennan: "Everything?"
Booth: "All the stuff, okay, that you think never happens – it happens. You just gotta be ready for it."
They smile at one another and Booth raises his eye brows. *g*

217. The Priest in the Churchyard review

With Sully gone Brennan and Booth bicker at work even more than usual - this time it's all about religion after they find a body in church grounds:
Booth: "Okay, you know what, I can’t work with you on this case."
Brennan: "What, what do you mean? The victim was clearly murdered; we investigate murders. Together."
Booth: "I’m not working the whole case with you attacking my beliefs. You should have just sailed off with your boyfriend."
Brennan: "Funny, a man who believes in an invisible super-being wants to run my personal life."
Booth: "By the way, 90% of the world believes in God."
Brennan: "And at one time, most people were certain that the sun revolved around the earth."
Booth: "You see what I mean? I don’t think this is about religion at all. We obviously have issues, okay, that are affecting our working relationship. And you’re afraid to deal with them, so you just lash out at my religion."
Brennan: "Can’t you just be satisfied that if I’m wrong about God, I’ll burn in hell?"
Booth: "It’s tempting."
Brennan: "Good. How about we get back to work? You know, I think we both still want to find out who killed this man."

In the car B+B bicker some more:
Booth: "We’re definitely not working well together."
Brennan: "Because you are bossy and judgemental."
Booth asks Brennan if she will go with him to therapy with him:
Booth: "Bones, just... come with me to go see Dr Wyatt, once."
Brennan: "No. Therapy is a vague and inexact process. The man shouldn’t even be called a doctor."
Booth: "Well, he helped me. I mean, are you so threatened that you can’t even do a favour for someone you call a friend?" He shoots her his charm smile and she agrees.

B+B meet Wyatt at the diner, "Booth says you could fix us .. " Wyatt tells them "religion provided the flashpoint you needed to expose an underlying issue - I will find out what that issue is, help you resolve it and set right the balance of light and dark in the universe."

Whilst "Dealing with a few work issues" Booth takes Angela to the church with him. "Trouble in paradise? ...... Did you two sleep together? .... this feel like a couples thing, and now that Sully is gone ..... " Booth tells her "it's a work thing." Angela asks Hodgins is he has noticed anything between B+B too.

Wyatt talks with Booth at the lab telling Booth - "So your problem with Dr Brennan is that you don’t know what will or will not catch fire, or where you stand."

Wyatt then talks with Brennan in the interrogation room (after Booth has thrown her out). She tells Wyatt, "I’ve learned a lot from him about people ... It’s not that Booth has a sixth sense. There is demonstrably no sixth sense to have. Obviously he reads minutiae of body language, pupil dilation ... " Wyatt suggests she wants to learn how Booth does it "So that you can do it without Booth. So that you won’t need him any more." She says no, telling Wyatt:
Brennan: "Observation isn’t just seeing, Dr Wyatt, it’s experiencing. Ideally I prefer being inside Booth’s head. You know, seeing and feeling things the way he does. Then maybe I’d understand."
Wyatt: "Be one with him."
Brennan: "In a scientific sense."

At the diner they bicker some more as Brennan tells Booth "You have no analytical skills. I mean, you’re all about emotion and feeling ... They say that means you have a well developed feminine side!". Wyatt shows up to find them quarrelling and tells them he knows what their problem is:
Wyatt: "I knew what your problem was right off the bat, if you’ll forgive the cricketing metaphor. The meetings were for fun. Booth never knows where to stand when he’s in the lab, feels like teats on a bull whenever he’s there. Ditto Dr Brennan in the interrogation room. Simple geography, sense of belonging, et cetera."
Booth: "But that’s not the main problem."
Brennan: "He can’t possibly know."
Wyatt: "Yes I do. (pause) You’re both afraid that the reason Dr Brennan didn’t sail off into the sunset with her boyfriend Sully might have been because of her ties to Agent Booth. (Brennan looks across at Booth who can't look her her in the eye and looks out of the window) You are both quite wrong." (The pair now look at one another)
Brennan: "Why didn’t I go with Sully?"
Booth: "How’s he supposed to know?"
Brennan: "Sully is perfect! We communicated well, the sex was incredible (Booth looks awkward), he invited me to sail around the South Seas in a beautiful yacht for a year. I mean, why would anyone turn that down?"
Wyatt: "In my opinion, you are unable to lead a purposeless life at this stage in your psychosocial development. Which, by the way, is an issue you should address, because a certain amount of purposelessness is necessary to lead a full life."
Brennan: "I hate psychology."
Booth: "You don’t like it because he’s saying that all this tension between me and you is ... your fault."
Wyatt: "Mmm, on the contrary. If anything, your issues are more pronounced, given that your behaviour is being affected by what turns out to be a quite irrational fear of being responsible for somebody else’s destiny."
Brennan: "That makes sense."
Booth: "Oh, now you like psychology."
Wyatt: "I think you’ll both be able to work together just fine, now that your minds have been set at ease."
Not five minutes later after 'feeling something' they have figured out what is going on with the case and both realise, "we're back!" and high five!!

When Angela and Brennan meet Wyatt, Wyatt asks Brennan, "So, you and Booth, you making any further assumptions about each other?" She says no and leaves to meet Booth who collects her from outside the diner. Meanwhile, Angela tells Wyatt "You got it right with Hodgins and I, that’s fine. But we both know that you are full of it on the other thing. ... Brennan didn’t run off with Sully because she cannot live a life without focus. She stayed because of Booth." ♥

**218. The Killer in the Concrete review

Booth has a tooth ache and Brennan tells him to go the dentist. After a few mentions she takes him in her hands in her office and looks into his mouth confirming his left anterior molar is infected. Booth tells Brennan she should think about forgiving her father.

In Booth's office after a bout of bickering and talk of cement head and ice pick, Brennan sticks her tongue out at him! *g*
Brennan: "So – you think Ice Pick might still be alive."
Booth: "As a friend of mine likes to say “Don't jump to conclusions until all the evidence is in." (he gets up)
Brennan: "But if the facts are in, then it's not jumping to conclusions. So I never said that."
Booth: "I never said that the friend is you, okay?"
Brennan sticks her tongue out at Booth.

When Booth and Cam are on the phone to Booth (with the bounty hunter) Brennan constantly answers for Booth.

When "Booth is missing!" Brennan turns to Max for help. When they find the bounty hunter and Booth's tooth Brennan whacks the girl hard and shouts at her. Poor Booth is tortured ("Ah, I've been tortured worse.") as Brennan and Max close in on his location and Brennan "Lied your (her) ass off to the FBI!" She rescues Booth who tries to arrest her Dad and complains when Bones let him drive away.

Later at the diner they sing Keep On Tryin' by Poco.

220. Spaceman in a Crater review

Booth places his hands on Brennan at the crime scene. Later he drags her (literally) from the lab.

At the lab as they discuss the space agency and the unwillingness Brennan suggests a little coercing - much to Booth's approval:
Brennan: "I bet if you told the agency you were going to identify Colonel Howard to the press, they'd be a little more cooperative."
Booth: Yeah. You know, I have been a wonderful influence on you."

B+B bicker in the car about whether or not the government may be involved in the killing of the victim:
Booth: "our government does not kill people. Okay, Bones?"
Brennan: "You were a sniper. Wasn't it our government who sent you to kill people? Just saying." (Booth looks unamused but doesn't respond)

At the end Booth comes to the Jeff' to take Brennan to dinner:
Booth: "Did you eat yet?"
Brennan: "I said I'd wait. How did you know that James would tell me?"
Booth: "Oh, man loves his wife. He may not be strong, but he has a conscience."
Brennan: "See, I can't tell that stuff."
Booth: "And I can't tell the difference between coral and bone, so I guess we make a great pair. Hey, speaking of marriage, Hodgins is gonna propose to Angela tonight."
They walk out of Brennan's office.
Brennan: "Huh."
Booth: "What?"
Brennan: "I guess right now it looks to me like marriage is having someone who will slap your enemies and then toss their dead bodies out of airplanes."
Booth: "Try not mention that to Angela. "

221. Glowing Bones in the Old Stone House review

At the site of the victim Brennan mentions that discuss Angela said no to Hodgins and Booth thinks she is weird, "It’s just, you know, weird, you know, talking about uh, marriage when we’re, you know, trying to avoid radiation poisoning."
But as they walk, suited up towards the crime scene Booth speaks again:
Booth: "People fall in love and they get married. That’s what people do."
Brennan: "I thought you didn’t want to talk about it."
Booth: "Look, I’m just saying! You know, you believe in love, don’t you?"
Brennan: "I believe that dopamine and norepinephrine simulate euphoria because of certain biological triggers like scent, symmetrical features..."
Booth: "Symmetrical features."
Brennan: "Yes, it’s an indication of a good breeder. You appear to be a very good breeder."
Major: (interrupting) "How long have you two been going out?"
Brennan: "What?"
Booth and Brennan: "We're .. (Brennan and Booth accidentally knock the helmets of their radiation suits together, pause, and glare at each other) ... We’re partners!"
Major: "Huh. Me and my partner talk baseball." ♥

There is lots of relationship stuff in this episode with Jack and Angela moving forwards and Brennan and Booth talking about it both together and with others. Booth asks Cam "Aw, come on, Cam. I mean, when we were together, you didn’t think that we could, you know... " To which Cam simply replies honestly, "You want to know what I felt, Seeley? I felt... satisfied. Very satisfied. And grateful that I had my own place, my own single life... and you were too."

When Angela and Brennan discuss marriage Ang asks about Sully, "Don’t you regret letting him go?". Later Ang apologises for bringing up Sully and Brennan opens up:
Brennan: "It’s just... If a relationship seems more than casual, I feel that I need to posit the potential problems. Probabilities of success and failure, or..."
Angela: "You get scared."
Brennan: (nodding) "But I miss so much, don’t I?"
Angela: "I want to say no, but... yeah. You do. And so does whoever you’re keeping yourself from."

Hodgins quizzes Booth about relationships saying, "You put on that macho front, but inside you understand .... It means a lot, knowing that you get it, man. Most guys... not secure enough to admit that."

Booth finds out Brennan took Sully to Carly's restaurant and seems vaguely jealous. Booth is all about food this episode even eating lunch on the job as they question the sushi guy - much to Brennan's disgust! Of course, all the talk of Mac N Cheese ends up with Brennan cooking him a home cooked meal - which has added significance since he had earlier said to her that "Well hey, I mean, that’s what family dinners are all about, right? Those are some of my, uh, my best memories." and then follows this discourse:
Brennan: "I’m not as cold as everyone thinks, Booth."
Booth: "Okay, that was a leap."
Brennan: "Just because I think marriage is an antiquated ritual doesn’t mean that I don’t want Angela and Hodgins to be happy. I have an appreciation and a need for emotional and physical intercourse, just like you."
Booth: "Yeah. Sure. I mean, okay, good for you with that."
Brennan: "Did I make you uncomfortable?"
Booth: "No. Not at all. I just wanna focus. Let’s just focus on the- on the case."
Brennan: "I did make you uncomfortable."

Of course Brennan brushes off the dinner as being nothing:
Booth: "Wow! Bones! This- this looks fantastic!"
Brennan: "Yeah? Really?"
Booth: "Oh, I mean, you shouldn’t have, I mean, all this work just for me?"
Brennan: "What? No, I mean. It wasn’t that much. "
Booth: "Mmm. (He eats and gazes happily at Brennan) This is unbelievable"
Brennan: "You like it?"
Booth: "I’d like to be alone with it."
Brennan: "She said I could go with my instincts, so I put in a little fresh ground nutmeg. "
Booth: "Well, she taught you well. Thanks, Bones."
Brennan: "Yeah, well, you know. We have to eat, right?"
Booth: "Yeah. Gotta eat. Always gotta eat."

222. Stargazer in a Puddle review

At the crime scene B+B discuss Angela and Hodgins decision to get married:
Brennan: "I’d like to marry you."
Booth: "Kind of sudden, Bones. Let me think about it."
Brennan: "What? No, Booth, that’s what Angela told Hodgins."
(Booth laughs)
Brennan: "You’re joking. You know, a lot of psychologists say that jokes are the way we manifest our hidden desires."
When Brennan picks up the stone with I Love You written on it Booth says the words out loud to her.

In Brennan's office whilst discussing how the neck bone is connected to the shoulder bone .... Max arrives to see his daughter because "I heard you were getting married." Booth arrests Max much to Brennan's annoyance and when he asks for her help she replies, "I don’t want to handcuff my own father. Plus, remember when he saved your life?" Booth apologies for arresting Max and Brennan tells him "It's okay."

In interrogation Booth tells Max "You abandoned her as a child. You don’t think she feels that, every time you pop in and out of her life?" When Caroline tells Booth they can't prove Max is Max Keenan he has to let him go and Max spends some time visiting Brennan - he gives her her grandmothers ring and a video tape of her mother. Later when the evidence comes in Booth looks torn and tells Caroline, "She gets it!" to which Caroline simply replies "You hope she gets it!" Booth has to arrest 'Arthur' at the diner and again apologies to Brennan.

When Brennan is confused by her feelings for her father she talks with Booth at the diner:
Brennan: "Do you like your father?"
Booth: "I love my father."
Brennan: "I think I love my father."
Booth: "Well, that’s normal."
Brennan: "But he ran out on me and Russ. He robbed people. He’s a murderer. He got my mother killed. You know, how does he expect me to...?"
Booth: "It’s hard to trust someone who’s abandoned you. Especially a parent."
Brennan: "Am I...Am I terrible for not...wanting to let myself care about my own father?"
Booth: "Look, Bones, your father is going to do something tomorrow that’s going to hurt you. How do you forgive that?"
Brennan: "I’m not a bad daughter? Bad person?"
Booth: "You’re not a bad anything"
They both smile.

As B+B question the mother of the victim Brennan looks at the star charts and mentions the dolphin constellation, saying it was her favourite because she and her mother loved dolphins.

As the wedding plans form Hodgins asks Booth to be his best man:
Hodgins: " ... Tongue-kiss the maid of honor at the reception when people clink glasses."
Booth: "Nice. Excellent. Okay,who’s the maid of honor?`"
Hodgins: "No idea, but most of Angela’s friends are really hot."
Brennan: "Well, I’m the maid of honor ... Why?"

As Booth arrests Max they fight and Max admits "You can take me. You’re right. I’m not going to abandon her again."

After staring then near drooling over Brennan in her bridemaid dress Booth escorts her down the aisle. He starts to explain what happened with her Dad but before he has time they reach the front of the church:
Booth: "Listen, I’m, I’m sorry, I had to arrest your father."
Brennan: "We don’t have to talk about that right now. You did your duty. I understand."
Booth can't let it go and wants to tell Brennan what happened so he continues:
Booth: "He could have gotten away."
Brennan: "What?"
Booth: "We got into a fight. Your dad could have escaped capture."
Brennan: "So he beat you in the fight?"
Booth: "No, I didn’t say that."
Brennan: "You beat him, but you gave him a chance to get away?"
Booth: "No, I didn’t say that"
(he steps to her and they’re now standing where the bride and the groom are supposed to stand)
Brennan: "I don’t see any other alternative."
Booth:" No, Bones, your father chose to be arrested because he felt if he abandoned you again, he’d lose you forever. I just thought you should know."
(Brennan looks touched and suddenly hugs Booth)
Brennan: "Thanks, Booth."
Angela: "Hi. I’d like to get married now."
B&B look at each other, release from their hug and step back.

After Angela and Hodgins leave the church B+B are left standing at alter and Brennan looks at Booth and asks, "What do we do now?"

I had some time yesterday so was playing around with PS CS2. I am very new to the full PS package (I always used elements in the past) and am not comfortable with it yet at all. I was experimenting with filling shapes and practising intodelirium's color tutorial again (love you sweetie). Feel free to use if you like or comment. :) Pictures are from 3.01 and 3.03. and although the first four are from my header I am putting the icons behind the cut in case you didn't see the episodes yet and don't wanna get spoiled.

I closed my art site Broken. I have been thinking about doing it for a while as I have no time to make art anymore and certainly no time to recode the site. So I just did it. Many of my affiliates are on my flist on LJ and to you all I send kisses and thankyou's for your inspiration over the past two years. Many on my flist are visitors and to you I say thankyou for your kind words and for visiting my site regularly. If I make art or icons I will be sure and share it here on my LJ which I will retain no matter how busy RL becomes. :D

Also - as a huge H/C shipper I read an article the other day that made me squeeeeeeeee - Jennifer Morrison talks about Hugh Laurie and it makes it even easier to believe Cam fancies House - she says:

"We were all at a party after the first season ended, and all of a sudden Hugh shows up. He hops off his bike in this tight T-shirt, clean-shaven, with this gorgeous accent, and I'm thinking, 'Wow, I forgot that was underneath there.' "

Morrison is sure she understands House's appeal: "He's broken, as are all of us in some way, and yet at the end of the day, all he wants to do is save people." As a woman, she says the character packs a few extra shots to the libido, namely, "the fact that his talent is attractive, and his uncompromising nature is sexy."

Question: Do people see this in journal style or on the white background page? How do I set it up so people see the icons on the white page and not in my layout style?? Can people see 4 icons on each line or does it mess up on certain screen resolutions?

ETA: I am totally bummed cos I named the files with alias_jems, the episode and the icon name and stupid LJ renames everything so you guys are not getting the info I wanted to be given out with my icons. Guess next time I'll have to go back to uploading over at my website so the file names remain unchanged. *shrug* I would have grouped them by episode if I had realised - anyways, if you don't recognise the episode and want to know which the icon is from just ask! I might move them into episode groups tomorrow but it's too late now and am off to bed.

Also - I am hugely sorry that I forget to pimp bluebear_74 who capped all these episodes - Liyan, without you there would be no icons at all. Love ya hon!! xx
