So, school has once again started and I've decided that it's been far too long again since I've updated so here I am with the news! My classes this semester consist of World of Ideas, (which is, in short, a politically fueled philosophy class surrounding the idea of 'obedience to authority'. It is, to the least, interesting and something that I'll be focusing a lot of my non-art time on.) Speech, Art History: Modern and Contemporary, Advanced Painting, and Advanced Drawing. I should also note that I was also taking Advanced Composition, but immediately dropped the class after one session. This class was bullshit on terrible levels and every single human in there was an Accounting major except for myself and the professor. They were all pompous, including my professor, and they spoke of everyone's major and decided to pointedly leave me out. It was all very stereotypical business/accounting major of them and I could have done without that. So! Next semester I will remedy this drop by taking Creative Writing instead.

Art wise, life has been...stressful. I've started my Junior Review dealing with Insecurities...but it still has a ways to go before it can be put on panel, which I've realized after discussing my idea with my professor. It's a simple enough idea, I just need to pull out of this constraint that I've thrown myself in and I need to start writing down ideas. Unfortunately, only tar comes to mind, so I'll have to make some interesting decisions on how to psychologically display the behavior of insecurities.

While I've been distracted with my Junior Review (being that of painting), I've ignored my Advanced Painting class. Not homework wise, but I usually think of interesting things to do before the beginning of class. So, now I'm having a mixture of thoughts like mixed media for my junior review involving drawing......AH. But yeah, journalling is the best way to get this all out and start organizing and creating.

Ideas for drawing:
Depicting several paintings of a man out of his sorts, involved and yet not involved at all with the world around him because he doesn't belong in the same space. Perhaps "Death". Perhaps influences around us, otherworldly. Death, Life. Two massive drawings, crowds of people. Death - handsome woman/man? Life - demented child. Perhaps on a crowded 20's train.

I'll probably be updating more and more on this. Sorry for my absence x)

Whoa, hello

So, the last time I frequented livejournal was before I had left for Massachusetts for a semester of UMass schooling. Now, I'm back in Wisconsin. So, livejournal has become my "I'm bored in Wisconsin" journal, respectively. Because, let me assure you, I definitely did forget livejournal existed. Not my friends, just this form of communication. Seriously, if you want any live updates on my life, go to my tumblr: feedtabe or find me on facebook.

In any case, I think a lot of my friend group has abandoned livejournal, because in the four or so months that I've been gone, not one of my 270+ followers/friends have unadded me. That speaks a lot for this friends group: Either you like me enough to know I haven't forgotten about you, or you've left as well. I'm assuming it's mostly the latter, and that alone is not a lot of incentive to remain on livejournal, or actively update it. I'm not leaving livejournal anytime soon, I just wanted to say what I've been thinking every time I use livejournal for community reasons.

Anyway, I don't think I have to update you all on my escapades in Western Mass, because I think my absence should have spoke the loudest to the fact that I had the time of my life. Seriously, January-May 2011 has been the most character building experience of my life so far. I feel I have a firm grasp on what I consider to be my sexuality, my views on feminism, my views on politics, etc. I miss the liberal east coast and I can see myself going to graduate school there in the future. I had amazing human beings who catered to my needs when I was stuck, and they should know who they all are ♥ I dated _sey for most of my time there and she was beautiful and great, but things didn't work out and we broke up and that's life. I kissed so many girls, drank so much Reisling, cried, laughed, and left with a smile on my face.

Now, I'm back in Wisconsin, watching Glee to pass the time, getting tan, and looking for a summer job. I applied for and turned down a tattoo apprenticeship within a week, applied for a modeling job, and was offered a waitressing/cook/bartending job at a classy tavern in town. I've dyed my hair twice in the week I've been back and...I'm bored. I haven't made any effort to see Wisconsin friends, but that'll change once I stop lounging on the couch eating bread and Nutella.

So yeah, that is everything you've missed, summed up into a comically short livejournal entry. I'll leave this post (and many after, I'm sure) public, as again, I find that not a lot of people live here anymore. But it'd be awesome if you commented, just to let me know you're still here~ If you are, I'll feed you and keep you as a pet and move back in. Until then, I'll be knocking every once and awhile. ♥

So, this whole month has been kind of scary. First, my external died with literally everything on it, my laptop won't boot because I downloaded a virus filled Inception OST (idiot me), and just bad luck in general. Things have been looking up a bit, as I got all of my money back for the external and thus bought a new and better and bigger external that is 1TB instead of 500GB AND I had left over money so I bought season 1 of Dexter and RocknRolla. ♥ The laptop currently is wiped but I have to bring it in because the reload disks aren't working...BUT. I think it'll work out x) I'm not too worried~

Then...this morning my grandpa was rushed to the hospital after passing out in church. I wasn't there but my mum came home like "...I thought grandpa died today..." and I spent a bit of the morning crying in shock because holy cow...this man is immortal, he can't die. He's okay now, it was from low blood pressure and dehydration but...I can't even imagine. I can't.

So, I've been running slow so far today, especially since it's rainy and just weird right now. And I remembered RocknRolla had come in so I should go to the mailbox and get that so I can send it back to Netflix right away since I own it AND IT'S AWESOME. So, I get the mail and there's a LOT of it, but one is a package of sorts.

It has my name on it from the lovely _ofuda_, and I always get excited when she sends me stuff randomly because it's usually Ryohei related and amazing~

I was not, however, expecting this!!

HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so envious of you guys for being able to go to yaoicon and chill with Ryohei's voice actor! And then afterward, tsunayoshi electricsong and _ofuda_ were all "WE GOT SOMETHING FOR YOU" but I had NO IDEA. NO IDEA. IT EVEN HAS MY NAME ON IT!!!!!!! I'M JUST SO HFJSKFHKJSD!!!!! LIKE, AHHHHHHHH!!! REALLY!?! I DON'T KNOW WHO WAS ALL INVOLVED BUT THIS SERIOUSLY MADE MY WHOLE YEAR!!!

The first thing out of my mouth was "I HAVE THE BEST FRIENDS EVERRRR!!!!!!!! AHHHHH I LOVE THEM WHAT IS THIS KYOUKOGENNNN HSDKJS" Oh my god. Next chance I get I'm flying out to you ladies/little boy and giving you a proper thank you! Because wow! Thank you so much for thinking of me!!! GAH!!!

SO YEAH! WHA! I was afraid maybe people were forgetting me because I don't update as much as I used to but...hnnnnnnnnnnnnn ♥ ♥ ♥ Words. I have none...

Bahhhhhhhhhhhh okay, this has given me motivation to do my homework lmfao but hfjkds YOU GUYS. AHHHHHHH!!!!! I LOVE YOUUUU!!!!

the cosplay wall

Cosplay is something I've wanted to address to my friends for awhile but, until recently, I haven't really known the right way to go about it. It's something of a hobby that has been slowly dying on my priorities, especially with school becoming that much more serious and what have you.

I'm constantly flattered by people I cosplay with. I've heard a growing number of "I was going to quit cosplaying but your enthusiasm makes me want to cosplay more!" as well as "I'm cosplaying this character in hopes we can cosplay together in the future!" or even "You are the reason I'm cosplaying today."

All of these comments send flutters to my heart and soul and I'm so happy that I can be a positive influence in some way to a fun hobby with amazing people.

But, regardless of the flattery...I find myself uninspired. You would think this giving back would light a fire and make me doubly ready to cosplay cosplay cosplay! However, I'm not. I'm genuinely happy, but I feel like I'm disappointing a lot as well with my "Cosplay isn't serious business" attitude and doing less outfits every year. A lot of it has to do with time and money, but most of it has to do with my own lack of enthusiasm.

I mean, I have a fabulous group of people I cosplay with that, while I'm with them is just too much fucking fun not to go all hyperactive and be the best I can be! But...arg. I don't know.

I wish I could meet that cosplayer out there that inspires me the same way I inspire others?

In any case. From now on, I think I'm going to just keep the cosplays I have for characters (and easy cosplays that can be done for existing characters: ie. FrankenRyohei), finish the cosplays I've started for other characters (ie. Albel), and then I think...be done with anime cosplay.

I find myself falling out of love with anime as well, minus the amaaaaazing ones like Baccano!/DRRR. I want to focus my cosplay energy on personal outfits, Disney or cartoon cosplay, or Renaissance outfits. ♥

So, I want to apologize to friends that have been prodding me to cosplay a character with them from a certain series, etc. This is an Anime Cosplay Hiatus until I'm inspired or otherwise.

Meanwhile, I'm looking and feeling gross from allergy/cold and not working out because of it. And I wanted to look so good for my birthday on Sunday /sob/

Also, bad bleach job~ Will be redying most of it~

So! I'm...almost done with my Aoba Koyo uniform and took a couple of in progress photos so I'm posting those x) I literally just have to attach the sleeves...but sleeves suck balls and it seems I need shoulder pads for these probably. So, that'll involve asking the mum if I can steal some of hers. ♥

And then, I picked up some lovely mint fabric for the hospital gown I'm making for Kida Masaomi. ♥ If you're wondering, it's from Durarara! ep 24, that just came out last week XD I figured hoodie!Kida just wasn't enough for AX, since it's such a simple outfit and I don't like to do ultra simple 8B So! Alas! I will whip together this outfit tonight and tomorrow and whatever, I have a little less than a week, I'll be fine 8D

Anime Central 2010 Part 2

During Anime Central, we definitely went into the Employee Parking garage and did a little photoshoot of our own. They're amateur and all of the photos were taken by me (except for the one's I'm in, which were taken by a few other friends present), but I thought the location was lovely and mafiesque ♥

I was going to post this with the Reborn panel video, but no such luck. That will just have to be posted at a later date as we've been having some technical difficulties with the splitting and uploading. IF ANYONE HAS ANY VIDEOS FROM THE ACEN 2010 REBORN PANEL, PLEASE POST THEM HERE! We know a few people were videotaping, and if you'd be willing to share, all of the panelists (tosshi, tsunayoshi, cayterror, albel) including myself, would be very grateful!

ANIME CENTRAL 2010

Well, Anime Central has definitely been a nice wake up into the anime/nerd/pervert/crazy world considering the Thursday I drove down to Chicago was my last day of finals for the semester! I feel kind of bad referring to it as my 'warm-up' for the rest of the summer cons, but it was and it was the best warm up ever!! I ran into a ton of fantastic bros and partook in a lot of new inside jokes which I'll happily include the rest of you in!

Anime Central is official dubbed "Awkward Con" for many reasons. Namely our use of 'awkward turtle', 'awkward balloon', 'awkward palm tree', 'awkward mustache', 'awkward spider', 'awkward bananas', 'awkward Gokudera', and 'awkward Ryohei', to name a few. I definitely have a few photos in this post that include....almost all of these XD

In any case, the con was gravy and tsunayoshi and tosshi hosted an amazing panel and invited cayterror and myself to troll it~ So we did. And we have a video of it. But the video is so big tosshi is working on splicing it, etc, but that should be available in a few days! It's hilarious, regardless~

So, it started in the lobby when we were in the wrong line being borededed and starting out Friday morning already being complete dbags. Gotta hand it to these two though, they make hella convincing Hibari and Spanner, and tosshi even made her own fucking lollis for the con! They were delish! ♥

After waiting in line to grab my badge, we was HUNGRY so we went to the cafeteria that no one knew about until Sunday and had ourselves some lunchtiemz. I had white pants and a white vest on, so I had to take precautions while eating a packed full hotdog...

Yup, that meant napkin!bib and flipped back tie. Ryohei knows how to keep clean~ Hibari doesn't give a shit.

Then that douchehole Gokudera showed up, also from the same trading cards that my cosplay is from, and we sparkled the fuck up (like vaaaampires!) and became HOLOGRAPHIC!!! Or at least I was already holographic and made Gokudera holographic too 8( Then after running around the halls getting our photos taken, we wanted to take a brief break...which involved sitting...and I didn't want to get my white pants dirty so we found the next best place.

Gokudera had to invade though, also thinking it was a very good idea:

Spanner was feeling le lonely though so...we...yeah. Made a new OTP for the fandom? Spanner/Ryohei anyone??

Then Hibari was pissed about us TYL pricks using him as our personal chair and picked a fight with Gokudera. Gokudera deflected Hibari with his 3Oh!3 gang sign though, which seemed to be our gang sign of the con as well (as seen by future photos~)

So, after awhile, we took another break as we were thirsty now 8( So, we waited for Spanner to grab an apple juice for the group.

Ryohei was listening to Gokudera tell a derpy story about what the fuck ever and mentioned something about Kyoko or how boxing was stupid or something that set them into a tizzy:

That ended quickly though when Spanner returned with the communal apple juice! Hibari was the one to start it!

Hibari didn't want another sip though after everyone else put their stupid germs in it! What a dick. (btw, Gokudera is definitely playing with salt in one of those photos. Warding off demooonnnsss!!!)

Back to the hall then! Everyone was super jealous at how pimp Ryohei was with his super fly shades, so they decided to take them from him and be cool too!

Ah well, after buying some pr0n, we headed over to the Reborn photoshoot, which was pretty decent compared to the other photoshoots going on at ACen /cough/ We ran into the lovely thetenthvongola and some other familiar faces!

And then. Then. They came. Actual children Reborn, Lambo, and I-Pin! Lambo and I-Pin were siblings, and the Reborn was actually kind of a huge gangster little kid that creeped me out a bit. BUT REGARDLESS. YEAH!

I wanted to have a picture with Lambo and I-Pin though, since Ryohei/Lambo is hilarious, (they're tots bros!) and Ryohei/I-Pin is actually one of my derp otps x) So yay! Fangirled over them both for sure!

And that's how Friday ended for us (photos wise)!

Then 5:00pm was rolling around and that meant REBORN PANEL TIME!!! There was an amazing turnout and this amazing Kyoko cosplayer showed up that I fell in loooove with but didn't get any good photos with 8(!!!!!!!!! /SOB/ But ah, maybe someday I'll meet up with her again HOPEFULLY and we'll take a bunch of amazing pictures 8( Her personality = Kyoko's personality. FFFFFFFFFFFFF!

Anyway, videos of the panel are on the way! It involved Gokudera and me barging in late and yelling at each other and consistently being the comic relief of the panel. So fun~ ♥

Finally done with my second year of college! And even though the last few weeks kicked my ass trying to finish everything + move out finals week because my apartment's landlord is a fucking prick, the last day of finals was so amazingly fulfilling that I'm super pleased! Tired! But pleased~ Came home after a very very long morning and afternoon, sewed my vest, watched the weird Supernatural finale, and then drove out to Chicago for ACen 2010! It was amazing, involving meeting a lot of new friends and taking part in a lot of inside jokes. I'll go into more detail about the con when I do my actual con post, with pictures and videos and all that, but I figured I should do a teaser before I come out with the HUGE POST.

Thanks everyone for being really patient with me. Now that the semester is over I'll be able to post more often and update you guys with my life! I'm thinking about all of you and can't wait to see a lot of you when I transfer to UMass in the spring 8D ♥

Aaaaaaand now that summer has started, I get to sew sew sew cosplay for Anime Expo! And I get to work out and pull out DDR and shit. I haven't worked out in two months just because of how busy I've been so I have a bit of pudge and shit 8( Can't wait to be back in shape!!!

□ Made BFA! Had my work up in a gallery and it was pretty amazing as my work has never been in a gallery before. Lots of people complimented me, but the committee had very little good to say besides the fact that my art was very sharp, edgy, and from the heart and that they'd love to have me in the BFA program. And then they promptly told me "Investigate credit transfers for when you transfer back from UMass derp derp." in which I stared at them as if they had 20 heads and was like "Duh. What do you think I've been doing the past few months?" in less words. Then they thought it was worth repeating on my sheet with the strengths and weaknesses of my pieces. Really? The whole process was really unhelpful and redundant, sorry profs. Ah well, I'll just leave them speechless in my Junior Review, after leveling up in artistic talent in Massachusetts.

□ Was asked to be in a Diversity show in the gallery for next fall. My piece that I did of Kelley and I about to kiss caught the gallery curator's eye and he asked if I would put it in the show amongst other esteemed artists and faculty members. I believe I'm the only student that was asked to present *_*. A show. Not just a student juried show or a review or something. An actual show. hfjkdshfksd Blown away!

□ Burnt my arm while throwing on the wheel in ceramics. Nice friction burn that def got in the way for the past few weeks but, ah, it's just a sore scar now. My prof didn't mind laughing at me though and say "What? Now I have to put up warnings of 'Plausible friction burns!' on all the wheels??" Foooo, at least I made 3 platters for the class that are almost done, just one more needs to be trimmed and then we're making business!! Then I need to come in on Monday with some concept sketches for our independent final project.

□ I'm not single anymore! As of April 10th I've started dating the handsome ryouga_elliot! Finally! We've been flirting and acting like a couple since...around January when I drunkenly admitted my feelings for him XD Turns out they were very mutual!! Bah...very very happy with him and I can't wait to see him this summer before he flies out to Japan to teach English for the next few years! Talented talented man~ ♥ ♥ ♥

□ Dyed my hair back to a warm golden brown. It's lovely but I do miss the green already x( I'll go back to a bizarre color again eventually. Probably after cosplay~ And I'm growing it out! Almost consistently to my shoulders, which is aahhhh so long for me!! /rolls around

Spent the day at the Chicago Art Institute, a trip I look forward to everyyy semeeestterrr because mang, it's my one day in the semester that I get to dress all fancy-like and attempt to be adorable yadda yadda. ♥ ♥ So, I bring photos of meee with my newly dyed green hair 8D It's very me I think XD And very very very bright I love it! I'm a bit thrown off though every time I look in the mirror because whoop, I've never dyed my hair an actual ROYGBIV color, it's always been shades of brown or natural shades of orange, red, you know the rest. Even when I dyed my hair RED it wasn't nearly as intense a saturation as this green is @_@ Virgin idk.

I'm in a good mood even though I'm on only a few hours of sleep and just took my first birth control ever. How about that. XD Sorry. I'm...exhausted. And stressed. Very stressed. I have so much stuff to do by next week and I'm not even close to being anywhere near complete with anything. ...does birth control make you sleepy/loopy after you take it for the first time? Or maybe this is how I act every time I get my period. I don't know if I posted an entry before while hyped up on drugs. Well, not hyped up, I'm not hyper. Hm. What's wrong with me? XD;;;

ANYWAY. Am making an appointment to look at studio/one-bedroom apartments for next semester. Aaand, I decided I will do on-campus housing at UMass. Saves me a lot of trouble. I'll miss living in an apartment greatly, but honestly, what can you do? What can I do? Although, hum hum, I can't wait to get an apartment alone for next semester. THIS. I am such a loner when it comes to living arrangements. I just want to be able to throw my shit wherever the fuck I want without having to worry about other people's preferences.

Kelley and I held hands today haha XD Probably confused ALL the students that had FINALLY figured out we weren't dating anymore/haven't been dating in months, but it was so worth it. Last semester when we were dating and at the art museum, Kelley was a grouch and it was a not-fun time being cute together. This time, as brothers, we were super cute and probably looked like a super cute couple. Sneaky. Sneaky.

moving up in life

So, it's been about a month since my last confession--I mean, livejournal post. I've been keeping myself busy with school and actually getting closer with people other than the lovely Kelley here on campus. It feels good, like I'm becoming less of a foggy mystery to people in Wisconsin and more...comfortable. I'm happy! I was never unhappy, but I just wasn't as comfortable in my home state than I was where my out-of-state friends were holed up, keeping me sane. Ah...I'm so content and I feel like this entire year of hard work has finally paid off. How now? Well, in the middle of my Philosophy class I got a call from an unfamiliar number. It was the National Student Exchange coordinator from my university with some pretty urgent news:

I GOT INTO UMASS FOR SPRING 2011!

/collapses!!! I don't think I really realized how much I was stressing over this until I found out I actually got in. There was at least a 90% chance that I wouldn't have gotten in. My coordinator sounded really surprised and impressed when he gave me the good news and now, for the first time in months, I'm able to lay down on my couch like a lazy bum, watch Dark Angel, eat nothing but chocolates, and not feel completely antsy and jittery about something I haven't been able to explain up to this point!

I'm also happy that it's not for another year. It'll give me time to find an apartment for a single semester, tour the place, get financial aid in place, and take a much needed breather. ♥

Baaaaaaaaah, I'm just. Gah. I can barely believe I actually got in. And, I gotta say, this would have never went down if it weren't for kasaii who put the idea in my brain. And then nerdraeg's positive influence that got me on board after months of 'just considering' it. Ahhhh...♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Of course, now there's the aspect of "Oh, you transferred in from Canada?? 8D" "...N--well. Close enough."

I guess...the reason I haven't posted here in so long is because I was waiting for the news. I didn't want to jinx anything by going "SO I TURNED IN MY UMASS PAPERS LALALA" or anything~ But now that the waiting is over, you can expect me bright and early like in the old days. I'm sorry it took so long.

Barbie and Ken slip-cast mold 'trophies' (2 of 3) for Ceramics III. They're trophies for the Harvard Criteria which is a list of symptoms doctors use to tell if one is brain dead or not. Brain dead and Barbie...the irony x) Slip-cast is...surprisingly difficult to work with. Shoot me in the face. But that project is long and done with~

Back to watching Dark Angel. Man, the only compelling episodes are the ones where Jensen Ackles' character is starring. Honestly. I mean, not just saying this as a Jensen Ackles fag. The guy has this way about him, especially when he's younger. And his character plays piano in an episode. Why is it so bloody attractive when men play piano. Or violin. Damn.

So, we start my "OH HAY TOKYO" post with your typical mirror shot in a bathroom of consistence. What in Japan do I mean by that? I mean this, where the soap, water, and hand-drier is automatic and not only that, but all in one spot. I've been looking for something so consistent ever since yuka02 burned it in my mind two years ago in Vancouver. So, it was our first full day in Tokyo and I had found the Holy Grail of bathrooms. From then on I knew this trip was going to be spesharu.

It doesn't help, at all, that tsunayoshi and I are near perfect travel companions. From the moment we dorked in the airport trying to find the train to our station, to the moment we climbed up the steps out of the subway followed by my "Oh god, they drive on the wrong side of the road in Japan. Dammmmmit.", to the moment we walked into Ace Inn Shinjuku and Kelly's credit card didn't work, and even to the moment we had to wrestle our way onto a very small elevator full of Australians; I knew Kelly and I were meant to do this trip.

It was 50 degrees out the Monday night we landed in Tokyo. This was a giant change from the negatives in Wisconsin, and we actually walked around without our coats on. We explored the area, very residential and cozy. Something the both of us were okay with. And, just around the corner was The Tempura Place, serving the best tempura I had ever tasted. Who would have thought that we would be eating 80% of our meals there?

We returned back to our floor, surrounded by a dozen wooden capsules. I took the bottom one, Kelly claimed the top, and we head-desked when we realized Japanese plugs were not three-pronged but two. So, we were there with little charge in our laptops and nothing we could do about it. Our first mission in Tokyo. Not only that, but I managed to break my beautiful Skull Candy headphones on the long plane-ride there, so new headphones were also on the list. (In the end, I ended up not getting headphones until the end, which was fine with me.)

So, the second day, we got up early and went to Shinjuku, mission in mind. We ended up going to an eight-story mall filled with woman's clothing and accessories. And by woman's clothing I mean half the mall was expensive lolita brand stores. Kelly's heaven. She's a cute Asian and can do that, though ♥ On the top floor was a punk shop dedicated to having shirts and jackets with ridiculous Engrish that was trying to be poetic, we think, but made next to no sense. In the store, I bought my new favorite white knit hat with a yellow pin that says "FUCK IT!" and a black pin with...a cute skull thing on it, I think. ;; I walked around with the pin for days before an Aussie in our hostel told me he thought it was offensive. He was also drunk, though, so he barely counts. Oh Japan, stop selling profane things to people who can't speak English. I wonder if there's a Japanese girl walking around with the same pin. Hm.

Following that, we took a train to Harajuku, the very energetic street packed with Asians and foreigners alike. It was a little humbling knowing I look like a halfsie and not full blond hair-blue eyed white chick, so I blended 'ok' in the busy street. Kelly had her eyes peeled for lolita stores, but I...I had my own mission. I needed a coat. I had my black, wool, Navy jacket (as I call it) but it was large and not fitting and frankly, quite embarrassing compared to all the feminine coats all the fashionable Tokyo civilians were wearing. So, we stopped at stores and I tried on girly jackets with fur and fitted waistbands and what have you, but there was one thing standing in my way. I was not a Japanese girl. I was, in fact, a Caucasian woman. So the sleeves were too short and the armpits a little awkward, a complete downer. Then, we found a male jacket store. And, I have to say, them Japanese boys be stylish. All of their coats were great, sexy, and way more feminine that mens coats in the states. So, we traveled to the second floor and I found it. The green coat. It was long enough to cover the fat part of my thighs, zip up/button up, hoody, sleeves the perfect length...my coat. So, with a lame excuse that it was for my boyfriend who is the same size as me, (winkwink) I bought it happily.

Then, we wandered until it got dark, went to H&M and didn't even try to go into Forever 21. It was time to head back, but not before grabbing a Japanese crepe. Why Japanese? Why not French? These weren't French. It was your typical "I think I know what a crepe is :/" crepe. Cold, round, with fruit and chocolate and icecream inside. It was tasty, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't flat, warm, slightly crunchy and delicious like in Paris ~~PICKY~~. I joked about it to Kelly, explaining to her how Japanese these were, and we sat on a blocked off set of stairs in an ally, joking about France vs. Japan and, of course, the constant in our trip, Supernatural.

I don't really remember if it was that night or the next, but we did locate a plug for our room, which is important to my story eventually. I also don't remember if it was this night or not, but returning home we got lost. It was probably even the day after Comiket, but I'll tell it now because I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE. Basically, we were lost somewhere in Shinjuku, which was classy of us but it didn't bring us down for a second. We managed to waltz our way into a bookstore, looking for a map to get back to the hostel. And what was in that honya? An old Reborn poster with all the TYL!Guardians saying some classy things. ...that is...

We're not really sure what Ryohei is saying. Which we derped HARD thinking about Ryohei using complicated kanji. Typical. Worth getting lost over~

And, on our way back, and I know it was this night, we were walking through Shinjuku and admiring the blue lights for Christmas and New Years, the beautiful lights of the town...it will be burned into my head forever.

We were in some random park before---before we got LOST, this WAS the night hahahahaha;;;; But yeah, we were sitting, admiring the lights, and I turned to take an innocent photo of where we were, and this adorable kid jumps up all smiles and starts walking along the brick ledge where we were sitting. So, of course I took a photo. And I love this photo. It's not all pro or anything, but to capture such genuine innocent joy...it was worth the night.

The following day was Comiket and Rebocon3. We threw on our outfits for Ranpou and G. and made our way to the largest comic festival in Japan (I'm assuming. Holy. Shit.) I didn't take a picture of the place but I should have. It was packed. You couldn't really comfortably stand anywhere. If anyone would be making a profit, it would be there. And, after some searching, we located kurot's table and I bought everything she had to offer. She's my sister after all x( ♥ And, to my great surprise, midnightbanshee was there too, very calm and stoic and slightly intimidating. Very pretty and the two of them together was great. So, after hugging my sis over and over and dropping some of my shit off at her table, we continued throughout the con. tsunayoshi bought a million different doujins for the world and I found a few for myself. The convention, other than seeing kurot, midnightbansee and their very nice friends, was kind of a disappointment otherwise. I was expecting amazing cosplayers everywhere and what have you, but Japanese cosplays suck. Everything is bought in stores there and bleh. So, it was a boost to my spirits to know I'm not a complete fail;; Although. Although. I saw a really great Ryohei cosplayer. I've seen her photos online and she was super pretty irl too. Not extreme personality wise so I still have that going for me, but wow. I wish I said hi, maybe.

Then, we picked up our stuff from kurot and decided to meet up with her later at Rebocon. Which we didn't end up meeting up at all. Which was insanely sad and we felt awful, but really, was a big place and we didn't have each other's numbers or anything. D8 So, again, sorry sis, I'll make it up to you! ♥ So. Rebocon. I wasn't suuuuper excited for the concert, mostly because we were so tired out and derping a lot. But, then we saw Japanese!Sam Winchester and everything got a lot better. After wandering the center for awhile, we finally found where we needed to be and...we were some of the first people in the actual line. The everyone starting getting the hint and...wow.

Wow.

So, because we were loud and dick Americans, we decided to bitch a lot about random shit and then took dick pictures of each other. Like dicks.

And, as for Rebocon itself, you can find a very detailed report on tsunayoshi's journal here! My two bits are useless because the concert was amazing and hilarious and I-pin and Lambo's song was adorable beyond anything and Ryohei was a pimp the whole time and Squalo was only two feet away from me at one point and hfkdhsf. Seriously. I am so happy I didn't miss this. Lost my voice after it was over in the sexiest of ways and I spoke Japanese and sounded like Lambo and Kelly and I laughed for hours about it. Seriously. It doesn't get better than that.

Skipping ahead to New Years Eve. We decided to go to Shibuya for the night, just for fun. There we got some cakes at Starbucks and then decided the best possible dinner to end 2009 would be at McDonalds. Naturally. It was basically too big of meet for the buns and Burger King fries in, and get this Americans, a Smoking room. Yeah. Everyone in there was smoking. It was insane to me! I don't think they even do that in Paris anymore. So, it was a really really really funny experience and left us with a stomach ache. It worth it leaving though, coming out onto the street to see a huge Hummer with "NUTS" on it and some spiel about it being "AN AMERICAN WEDDING"! I don't know. I took a picture of it on my phone since I didn't have my camera on me, but my phone is dead so I can't show you. It was hilarious though. And, at that moment, some Americans were passing by and burst out laughing going "What the fuck? What the fuck does that even mean?! Hahahaha!" It was...kind of nice seeing American English speakers instead of just Australian and such. It was very rare. ♥

Then, we skipped on over to some convenience store and bought us some alcohol. Not a lot, at all, which was actually a little sadface, but that's okay because the following night we decided to buy some more and make up for it. Less classy the second time but still awesome. In any case, we bought our booze, went back to the hostel, and started our Supernatural drinking game!

There really. Really is no better way to start 2010 than watching Supernatural and drinking whenever someone says "Sam" or "Dean". You guys should know about this though, because it definitely involved some drunk posting from yours truly!

Classy drunk picture, I know this. It also involved e-mailing my mum drunk. She thought it was hilarious idk XD ♥ I would do this game every night if I had the choice. Oh wait. No I wouldn't. Because I'm not a drunk. XD That being said, I would play this game with my mum. I should pull out some wine from downstairs and challenge her, the lush ♥ ♥

Anyway, then we spent our days more relaxing and trying to find things for people. We found a lot of doujin stores and bought a lot of doujin, but it was kind of unsatisfying merch wise. We really. Really didn't find a lot of the stuff I was looking for. Including no monokuro boo merch, any decent D.Gray-man merch for guuuu. We did find a store FULL of Reborn shit though, but gosh, we didn't need any of it. That was, however, the day I decided I was going to cosplay Doctor "Bad Touch" Mukuro. This is big news guys, and it will involve it's own separate post because seriously. It's huge.

One of the days, I believe the day before Kelly got sick, we found ourselves....The Pokemon Center. We were such little kids, skipping up to it with shit-eating grins on our faces. The store was a lot smaller than I imagined, and I was doubly disappointed when they were out of Umbreon/Blackie plushies, which was my goal there. That was fine though because I bought my mum a Pikachu tin and myself and without_reason a Golden Magikarp plushy. At this point, I was extremely low on cash and was assuming I would be SOL money wise so, I didn't get anything else for you without_reason. However, with Kelly and I getting sick and not going out that much after that, I really could have gotten you everything on your list. ;A; So I'm sorry for that!

It ended up being 1080yen, which is $11.55USD~ I'll e-mail you more info later ♥ ♥

Then, the day Kelly got sick, we decided to go to the temple in Harajuku. It was a few days after New Years, so we assumed it wouldn't be too crowded...but we were so wrong. We managed to get in about half way before putting our tail between our legs and leaving. There had to have been at least a two hour wait to get in there. It was like...Holocaust crowded. D| Yeah, awkward.

Yeah.

But, despite the crowds, the place really was beautiful, hidden within a forest area. It was beautiful and, even though we didn't make it to the actual temple, it was not a waste of time.

When we got back to the hostel, having ended our day after that because Kelly really wasn't feeling well, we had to deal with Kelly's sudden wave of sickness. We spent the rest of the day and night relaxing. I had to listen to her constant whining lmfao but that was fine. We had accomplished so much the past few days, relaxing was necessary. Or, at least that's what I thought until the following day, or last full day in Tokyo, when I got sick. Very sick. I ended up spending more time in bed than Kelly had the previous day and almost didn't go out at all until I forced myself up and out. And, I'm happy we did. We made our way to Shinjuku again and I found a gift for ryouga_elliot the fucking love of my life, and...low and behold...the purikura. Finally. Kelly was just starting to feel better and I was definitely in a feverish "Fuck my life" stage of the sickness and yet it all seemed to numb out with the sudden happiness that we had found purikura!! So, in we went, to four different machines, raping them alive. And damn, we looked so good for a couple of ill people. Seriously.

How. About. That. XDDD We look so bitchin' it hurts a little. I wonder how good we would have looked had we been healthy?? ♥ Seriously though, we were a couple of sweaty heaps of sick. You can see my hair curling a bit because I was so hot. Ah well ♥ I can't stop pulling these out of my wallet and just staring at them. Win. Win. Win.

And before I forget: Do you know how Kelly and I knew were going in the right direction in our station? Because when we got to our area, we were greeted by a dozen advertisements for Kingdom Hearts.

Then, the following day we took the train to the airport. It was a goofy train ride involving me being sicker than the day before and just wanting to go home and sleep in a real bed. We got there and my tickets didn't have seat numbers. My head was pounding. My body aching. Kelly was somewhere on the same level as I was and we gave each other a sick, pained hug goodbye and went our separate ways. I managed to score myself a window seat after a bit of groveling to the agent. I was felt up on the way in, the US looking for bombs and shit on me. And then they searched through my carry-ons. With all the flights I've been on, I've never had to go through this. It might have been the fact I was leaving Japan and flying in to New York, but wow. It wasn't a big deal though, just interesting. The plane was really nice with leather seats and TVs in the back of seats. I've only had this twice before so it was nice to have this back as my flight to Tokyo wasn't nearly as nice. The food sucked on this flight, unfortunately, but I was so sick I didn't really have an appetite to begin with. Then, after what felt like 3 hours instead of 12 and a half, we landed in New York. This is when I wanted to punch myself in the face over and over again. I had to go through security again leaving the plane. I had to get my luggage and recheck it in, which, usually on connecting flights they just do that for you. Then I had to get to Terminal 3 on the AirTrain. This was my plan. I was on a mission. I talked to the agent by the AirTrain exit and he tells me I'm in Terminal 3. Impossible. I should be in Terminal 4. So, this bastard tells me to go outside and around to ask them where my gate is. They say it's indeed in Terminal 3 and that I needed to get back in line to go through security. I told them I was just connecting and had been through security twice already. They bitched at me about how I had went outside and now I had to go through security again. So. I managed to skip ahead a bit since my flight was coming up soon, and had to go through security a third time. I was sick and crying a bit at this point because omg what a waste of time and I still didn't even know where my gate was in Terminal 3. So, I leave the security check and...I look up. And in Gate 1, the gate directly beside the path I took to go outside, is my flight.

So, I managed to get on and fly window home to Chicago. It was supposed to be a three hour flight but it turned into an hour and a half. It felt like 5 minutes, which startled me beyond words. Aaaand my mum knew it was going to be early and I managed to walk out of Chicago with no problems at all and get home and sleeeep. So, it was painless except for the bullshit in New York. ♥

And, since I've been back I've...slept. A lot. And have been coughing up a storm. I kind of want to go to the fabric store next week and pick up fabric for my cosplaaays that I should be working on. And what have you. But gosh, I'm so winded I doubt I'll go anywhere haha;;

So, tsunayoshi and I both go sick in the past few days. She's getting better and I'm getting worse XD So last days in Japan will be a headache, but we're going to make it exciting! ♥ I just worry about the flight home being fail...or my sick tiredness will make the flight go by a lot faster. Oh the lives we lead!

So, I'm going to be flying out to Japan tomorrow morning, and I'm only partially packed and praying things go well. My horoscope told me not to take a trip that's not planned out...but I think it's pretty set in stone at this point~ Will be meeting up with tsunayoshi in Terminal 2 at the railway and off we go to the hotel and...ah. ♥ My phone will be working there and I'll have my laptop. And I have over $700 in spending money thanks to a collective of Christmas money (not all to mine, mind you, but just the same). Very excited to be seeing tsunayoshi, kurot, nerdraeg and bombaycake while I'm there as well as anyone else that I might run into at Comiket! 8D Again, I'll be Ranpou from Reborn! And, all I know for sure is that we have steady plans until the 30th and then we'll probably spend the rest of it being cool motherfuckers shopping and going out doing awesome shit 8D So, if any of you really want to catch me, it'll be after Comiket 8B

I guess that's the main news! Christmas was great! I finally opened everyone's cards yesterday that I've received including revenus's ADORABLE Colonnello drawing (YOU'VE IMPROVED BOATLOADS LINDSAY HJKSFHKJDS) and _ofuda_'s motherfucking MINI TOWEL OF RYOHEI. HFKJS!!!!! SO UNEXPECTED!!! I was like "UWAAAAAHHHH NANNNNIIII!?!?! ♥ ♥" I'll have to surprise you with something from Japan, lemme know if you want anything lovely ;A; ♥ ♥

I'll be sending out cards when I get back from Japan. And yes, I have every intention of sending them out. But life has been busy ♥

Also, I'll have to talk with the roommates and see if they wouldn't mind getting Cable for the apartment. Why? Because I have a morning class on Friday so I can't come home on Thursday to watch Supernatural 8( THAT'S WHY. ♥ I think it'd be worth it idk;;

Hey gang, it's been awhile! First off _ofuda_ I got your other letter hfjdksf WORDS CAN'T EXPRESS MY LOVE FOR YOU RIGHT NOW LOL ♥ Um, anyway, school has started for me and...what an exhausting schedule. Thank goodness I have Fridays off, because if I didn't I don't think I would survive hjkdsf;;;; Ceramics II is amazing, Drawing II is way too early in the morning, Theatre Appreciation will be so fucking easy, Ballet is going to kick my ass (I have to buy ballet slippers and a leotard dhfjkdsfsdkfs), Self Defense is so hfjdsk YES, haven't taken TKD yet, and Japanese is WIN. XDD I mean, I've only had two days of classes so far, which involved getting up early early in the morning and having full days of classes. So exhausting in a good way!

And that about summarizes what I've been up to since I disappeared from lj XD Let's just say it's been nonstop poke-my-eyes-out~ But I'm in the apartment and I don't have to worry about stupid roommates in small spaces with loud dorms and shitty food. I have a really decent sized room that's 100% mine, a...kind of shitty apartment but it's a hippy pad thanks to my amazing flatmates, and I'm genuinely pleased to be here. I mean, yesterday Kelley came over for the ENTIRE DAY and we stayed up playing DS and watching Samurai Champloo. We also cuddled a bit which...means we're slowly getting more comfortable with each other. I think it's best we take it slow. ~~Although we talked about our ideal husbands hahaha~~ But yeah, it was nice.

Also, I HAVE PHOTOS OF MY ROOM 8D Like, the first photo at the top is also of the room, but I have more photos~ These pics aren't as AWE-ASPIRING as kurot's room photos *_* But it's my room and I think it's fun nonetheless~ Next year I'll get a different apartment and it will be beautiful and not a shit hole, hey.

September 4th was without_reason's birthday, and I told her I would draw her something yesterday but with my whole day taken up, I stayed up late and quick drew something...hfsdjf.....that believe me I need to spend a few hours and draw something from Eternal Sonata or something because this is so unacceptable ;A; But....I like, started drawing Viola and then was like "No...I'm making this too broad for a Trusty Bell character....I'll make it a girly boy....no....hfjdskf FUCK IT I'M DRAWING ME." Okay, so, this is basically my style anyway, but I realized after watched Samurai Champloo that my art is kind of influenced off of that style. Nothing wrong with that, SC fucking rocks.
