Akram Ayyash

Hello, I am Akram! I am a father of three wonderful kids and a finance professional living in Naples, FL. I was born and raised in Lebanon, and immigrated with my parents to the US for university. After school and a short career as an engineer in Michigan, I moved to New York where I met my wife and enjoyed a decade-long career on Wall Street. We eventually traded the city skyline for sunsets over the Gulf, and we now love exploring everything Southwest Florida has to offer, from the beaches to the nature preserves.

Professionally, I am the head of treasury at Ava Labs, and an adjunct professor of finance at Florida Gulf Coast University's College of Business. I also write about markets and technology at span.blog, where I explore ideas at the intersection of traditional finance and decentralized finance.

I'm particularly interested in how digital assets and blockchain technology are reshaping financial systems, and I enjoy helping institutions and individuals navigate this evolving landscape. Whether it's treasury management, teaching the next generation of finance professionals, or writing about market developments, I'm drawn to work at the intersection of finance and technology.
