My livejournal seems to be all full of gloom and doom lately. On February 4th, I lost my beautiful baby of 15 years, my dog Coco. He was my best friend for a long long time. He was full of life and personality, he loved to sit in the window and bark at strangers, and he could hear my open a bag full of snacks from all the way upstairs in another room. He hated to be separated from me. When I was in another room he’d follow me and get upset if he couldn’t get in. He loved to open Christmas presents more than anyone, he would always stare the gifts and get so excited and he could hardly wait when he got his. He loved to go outside, and when he was in a hurry he’d nudge me with his nose. In the morning he’d sit on my bed and curl up with me. I loved him so, so much and I can’t believe he’s gone. It’s so hard knowing that I’ll never see my precious little baby again. I miss him so much already. I love you, Coco.

I thought almond butter was really good but I just tried cashew butter and it was amazinnggg. *A* Now I just have to try pistachio butter and black walnut butter and my life will be complete. I’ve never seen either in the store though.

The smell of black walnuts has to be the best smell ever. ♥ In the fall, the whole forest smells like them. (Especially right after it rains.) I went out on my break at school and collected a big bag of them and now my house smells like them. :D They're hard to break but delicious.

Sunny. I love seeing a beautiful blue sky more than anything, with a few fluffy clouds dispersed through it to keep things interesting. I hate rain and cloudy days.

I'm seriously addicted to my phone. All these years I was like "I don't need a smartphone, I'm on the internet enough anyway." But I just upgraded to an Android and it's like crack. Delicious crack. I'm sitting in front of my computer playing on the internet with my phone. XD There's so many free apps. There's even a barcode scanning app! I've always been so jealous when I saw other phones do that. I thought "if only my phone could scan barcodes too!" Well now it can, and all the barcodes in my house have been scanned. With no results.

Icon is relevant, though it should say "I'd so make out...with my phone." Just kidding. Or am I?

I haven't updated this thing in a while! I finally moved yesterday. It's weird being in a new place. I've lived in my old condo for 14 years so it's really odd waking up somewhere new every morning. I'm going to miss my old place so much. T_T But this new place isn't so bad. It's not that far from the old one so it's not like I have to get used to a whole new place.

Blah...being foreclosed on sucks. It's like a bad dream you can't wake up out of. D: We tried refinancing and filing bankruptcy to help, but just today the lawyer told us that even bakruptcy wouldn't save the house and that was pretty much our last hope. I don't want to move. I've lived here for 12 years and I'm used to living here. We'll (hopefully) still be in the same neighborhood, but I like my house. It will be hard to move into a tiny little apartment..if we even get approved for that.

I got a cheap costume on ebay this year for Ohayocon. I usually don't like the quality of them so I don't go costumes off ebay, but I didn't have a lot to spend this year, so I figured "eh, why not. Better than not having a costume." Well I was pretty surprised...the costume arrived and the quality was amazing. :O It was so much better than I expected..it's so well made, and it even came with the cuffs that the character wears (they weren't shown in the picture so I thought I'd have to make them.) The wig is nice too though I'll have to fix up the bangs on it..they're way too long and look kind of odd. XD Glad I went with them and didn't spend a lot this year. I'm just so surprised by how nice it turned out.

In other news, I almost caught fire last Sunday. x_X Where I work, we have to wash the floor with a hose. Well..there are plugs on the floor. Not a good combo with water but usually they don't cause problems..except one, which always starts smoking. I was always worried it would catch fire, but everyone was like "nah it's been doing it for months!" So the other day I was cleaning the window right next to the smoking plug..and I hear this popping sound. So I was like "o_O What is that??" and backed away...and a second later it burst into fire. It was scary! We had to get out because it was an electric fire and we were standing on a wet floor. Luckily it burned out by itself..but geez. x_x It wouldn't have been fun if I hadn't moved!

Why is it that women's clothing has no padding? -_- I went to shop at Kohls today and I was looking at women's sweatshirts and hoodies..and they're all paper thin! The material is just so flimsy, I don't see how anyone could wear that in the winter. I eventually went to the men's section and found a nice hoodie that was thick with faux fleece lining. I ended up buying that and I'm now warm and toasty with it. :D But it just sucks. There was NOTHING like that in the women's section, and they were all over in the men's section. Do they not think that women get cold? :| Well let me assure you, clothes makers..we do.

I went and saw Wicked today and it was AMAZING! The effects, the singing everything about it was great. I had always wanted to see it. Since it was in Ohio I couldn't let it pass me by! I'm definitely glad I went to go see it. n_n I've seen most of it on youtube, but it's so much better in person. Especially Defying Gravity.. it was stunning in person!

I brought my camera along but unfortunately they don't allow pictures in the theater. So here's the best I could do!

I got a shirt too. Best musical I've ever seen. :'D

Is it normal to mourn for the end of a TV show? T__T Lost ended tonight..forever. It was my favorite show, and it's just starting to sink in that it's gone. No more Wednesday nights of eating pizza and being excited for the latest episode of Lost to come out. No more struggling to figure out the mysteries and put together the puzzle pieces. No more wondering if my favorite character will live or not. (He did!) The show has been on for 6 years and I've watched every episode. It's silly to be upset over the end of a show, but I am. It doesn't help that the series ended without answering many questions or that it ended on a somewhat depressing note. I don't think there will ever be another show like Lost again. .D':

Why do they only make low rise jeans for females? It never fails, every time I go to the store and see a pair of jeans I like, it's low rise. Then I look at the jeans I don't like..and they're low rise too. Look, I don't want to feel like a plumber every time I bend over. I don't want to feel like my pants are falling down when I walk around. I ended up having to go buy pants from the men's section..but they have problems of their own. Either the pants are too tight or they're too baggy. I guess if men are wide at the waist, their legs are wide too. I remember back in the days before this stupid trend when I could go get a normal pair of jeans for females without them being low rise. -_- Those were the days. What's next, a pair of pant-legs attached to a thong?

Oh the woes of making oatmeal. @_@ My mom bought a huge tub of unflavored oats and since we don't have cereal right now, I've been trying to make those oats for the past 3 days. The first day I just put cinnamon and sugar in, thinking it would be enough. But no matter how much I put in, it seemed bland, only mildly sweet. I threw it out after I ate half of it. Yesterday I tried to be adventerous.. I put in cinnamon and sugar, and then pure vanilla extract. Bad idea..it tasted like I had poured booze into my oatmeal. I threw it out after two bites and checked the ingredients. The first ingredient is bourbon, so that explained it. XD Luckily I ate a brownie for breakfast, so I didn't starve. Today I got it perfect though! I put in the usual sugar and cinnamon and then I poured a nice sized amount of maple syrup in..and it was delicious! *A* Not very healthy probably, but still delicious. I think I need to get some cereal soon.

I was eating some hot and sour soup from a Chinese restaurant today.. and I had eaten most of it. But as I was finishing it off.. I found a staple on the bottom. ._. I'm really freaked out now. I hope that I didn't eat any more staples and not notice it. I called the retaurant and they said they would replace it, but I'm still kind of upset. It's one of my favorite places to eat. I can't believe they would be that careless.

Today is the first time I ever saw (and caught) an actual shiny Pokemon! Well there is the Red Gyarados, but that doesn't count because everyone gets those. XD Today I was walking through Ice Path and I saw a shiny swinub! But you know, the weird thing is..before I actually encountered the shiny swinub, I thought to myself "I'm probably going to encounter a shiny swinub." o_O Psychic premonition? I think so! XD Or more likely, a really, really lucky/random coincidence. XD I named it Intuition!

Rita's Ice opened for the year! Hurray! :D (Actually it opened on Saturday, of course I was there!) The owner is a really nice guy, today he gave me this plushie because I'm one of his best customers. XD

If you live in the area, you should really go try it. :D

Anyway, I went to Press Start Gaming today too, to pick up Pokemon Silver. That place has changed so much. o_O Half of it is like a phone store.. and there were some stuffy older business guys getting phones, and then on the other half were kids playing video games. XD I guess times must have been hard for Press Start Gaming if it needed to sell half it's space to pay the rent.

Noooo! DDD: Plushenko only got the silver medal for figure skating and broke my heart. I loved that guy. He was just so funny. XD I really REALLY wanted him to win. I usually don't get invested in Olympic sports but he was just amazing! Silver's not too bad though, at least he got that!

So Violinist of Hameln got a sequel while I wasn't looking. o_O Violinist of Hameln: Schelkunchik. It looks like it's a manga about Hamel and Flute's 800 bazillion children. XD (Spoilers: At the end of the manga, Hamel and Flute had enough kids for an entire band that were all born AT THE SAME TIME. Wtf? XD That must have been painful... ) It came out in 2008. Surprising, for such an old series. I'll have to check it out.
