Summary: The Mutant Islands sit in an isolated spot in the Pacific Ocean, inhabited by mutants after humans ejected them from their countries of origin or residence. Nothing was simple for the three islands as they struggled against each other, and the threat of war hung over them constantly.

Erik Lehnsherr of the King's Guard is forced into a mission he never wanted - but when he does so he meets Charles Xavier, who changes his entire worldview. One slight slip later, Erik and Charles are married and life takes a different turn.

Many thanks to ninemoons42, starxd-sparrow, kageillusionz and velvetcadence for beta help along the way as well as support when I needed a hand to hold. PJ, especially, because this story was a difficult one to put together.

the sex soundtrack: who's noisy? were they always noisy? how loud? is anyone a shouter? is anyone a "repress the noise in a total hot way"-er?
chiasmus: I think Charles is probably noisy, possibly a shouter, and might try to repress the noise but totally fails every single time/gives up really easily most of the time with regard to trying. (I am assuming this is re: physical noise, not like, mind projecting?). Erik I see as a "repress the noise in a totally hot way"-er for the most part.

and erik completely loves that. he makes charles lose control. it is stupidly hot to see him shaken out of his arrogance and unable even to control his power.
after the first time (on the ship? immediately after the ship?) charles has to retcon, like, everyone in the surrounding area. and erik is like, "i expected you to have a little more control than that, *professor*" and charles says tartly, "as you can imagine, it's rather awkward to suddenly begin projecting like that to an entire building full of people, including your sister." and erik says, "and?" and charles says, "i...don't do that very often." and erik says, predatorily, "*really*"
