video; | AWAY FROM HOWARD |

So. Who's Howard? And why am I getting something for him again?
[ she blinks at the screen, before she says quite simply]
I'd like a very large pizza for Christmas. All the toppings, and as big as it can be made. And Tabasco sauce.

If you send me something they call 'frozen pizza' then don't bother. It's not real.

[headtilt]
I'm not sure why I keep getting involved in these 'Secret Santa' things.

For a house that excels at mind over matter, wisdom, experience and wit, there could be no better student. Contrary to her lazy, often detached demeanor, C.C. is exceedingly shrewd. Her tongue is as much a weapon as her powers are, and regardless of your position, status, or opinion towards her, C.C. does not hesitate to use it to speak her mind and make clear her feelings on you, the world, and the people around her. And with centuries and centuries of living? There are few who can tell it the way she can. And even fewer who can unravel a person as she does with Lelouch, and many other characters, both negatively and positively. She is very much a realist, and her blunt way of speaking the truth is not always easily received. When the main character, Lelouch, begins to realize the repercussions of his actions, C.C. coolly tells him that he was in essence "a naive boy with ideals in his head" and that once he makes a decision, he better finish it or he has no right to continue his goals. She reminds him that this was the path he chose to take, and once he chose it, he can never go back to the way he was before. Her first warnings to him when making their fateful contract, are that if he seeks power, he must be aware that "it will make him lonely". True enough, Lelouch's powers grant him unparalleled influence to aid his ambitions, and yet, as she warns him, he becomes very much alone. Her bluntness is not without weight and she does not spare it, not even for her accomplice. While most people often see Lelouch as a collected individual with flawless manners and charisma, C.C. ‘s insight immediately cuts through all of this, to the conflicted, ambitious soul within.

C.C. can be not only clear, but extremely cryptic, and can speak quite cleverly. Speaking in riddles and strange sayings, C.C. often requires both the watcher and the listener to dwell on what was said to understand the real meaning of her words. "Lelouch, why are you Lelouch? " She asks her partner during a campaign in Narita, leaving him to reply that he has no interest in discussing philosophy. Instead of answering him with what might usually be a clear retort or mocking word, C.C. instead responds with yet another riddling question: "Do you know why the snow is white?" In reality, C.C. is actually speaking of herself, and not the snow. Her answer is not easily read, and only near the end of the arc does Lelouch realize what she means by the answer. She is not speaking of "snow that has forgotten it's color" but of an immortal being who has forgotten the meaning and memory of having humanity after centuries of existence. Such instances like these show how skillfully C.C. can impart information without even revealing what that information was. In episode fourteen of Season One, C.C. cleverly uses herself as bait to aid Lelouch with one of his adversaries, making it look as if she were saying goodbye when in all actuality, she was simply offering herself instead. With her ability to look completely honest with her words, it was not hard to do.

And perhaps above all else, despite her obvious intelligence, C.C. is wise and experienced. After endless ages of living, she has the history of countless lifetimes and civilizations behind her youthful face, and the brunt of human cruelty, hatred, and sorrow branded in her heart. She tells Lelouch once that she "could do anything" but that she chooses not to because she doesn't feel like it, she has done so much. She has seen so much... While she is as much an equal and his sole confidant, she is just as much his guide. One of her greatest assets to Lelouch is her experience with both the history behind the Geass, her experiences in war and the nature of humankind, and her own wise personality offering him advice he could find little elsewhere. She can bear the gravest of secrets and the most difficult of problems and always deal with it in a calm and unfettered manner. C.C. tells Lelouch in the early section of season one that if he has a desire to protect anything, he must distance himself if he has something worth keeping. With a sharp retort towards her, C.C. responds simply with one sentence: "It's a way of life." C.C. tends to be somewhat of an observer over the events of Code Geass as much as a participant, and her own voice narrates each event of the series with insightful words on the nature of humankind and the paths that Lelouch must take, something that only someone with true experience, someone who has lived so much longer, and seen so much more than others, could do. With knowledge, wisdom beyond a single human life and razor-sharp wit, C.C. would hardly have any trouble being in the smartest and wisest Hogwarts House.

SECOND CHOICE: While C.C. would without a doubt fit best with Ravenclaw, she has qualities that could still make her eligible for Slytherin, one being her arrogance, her independence, and her sly nature.

C.C. is not an unselfish woman. As someone who has been isolated, mistreated, and brutalized through the ages, she is not someone who will immediately go out on a limb for another. She puts herself first, and when she has something she wants, she doesn't really care how she has to go about getting it. For example, when with Lelouch she often uses his credit card to pay for her obssession: Pizza Hut and it's franchise. When he replies that she is a selfish, willful woman, she smartly responds, "Of course. That's precisely why I am C.C." Selfishness, self-preservation, is second-nature to her. She has had no choice. In the beginning of the series she started out only using Lelouch as a means to end her own life, to 'fulfill her wish'.

With being as old as she is, C.C. has no problem telling it how she sees it and feeling as if she is entitled to feel that way. With her response of saying her name as if it is a great equalizer for her own actions, C.C. does not come across as an insecure character. She drapes herself across Lelouch's bed when they first meet and dresses herself in his clothes, flippantly replying that, "Boys sleep on the floor." When Lelouch dares to tell her that they are not finished discussing the situation, C.C. coldly wishes him goodnight, and ends it, on her own terms. When Lelouch shows C.C. concern at times, her usual response is a smirk, and a coy question of: "Who do you think you're talking to?" As if the very notion was absurd. Of course later in the series we realize that C.C. in actuality appreciated this sort of concern but her arrogance can easily be a shield to hide whatever real emotions she is feeling.

And last but not least, C.C. can be teasing, and even cruel. She loves to tease some of the main characters, no one is exempt, and she has no trouble putting them on the spot when the moment doesn't call for it. For example, Kouzuki Kallen, a hotheaded protagonist and soldier for Lelouch, often faces the brunt of C.C.'s jibes with her easily riled-up nature. C.C. will often call her, "Bunny-girl, or simply "girl", and has no trouble teasing her on her obvious feelings for Lelouch. "We don't like when you keep things from us, " Kallen tells her when Lelouch and C.C. switch roles for a mission. But in typical C.C. fashion, she glances her over, and simply smirks in reply: "You mean you don't like it." Easily singling out her jealousy and keeping a smirk on her face. The witch can be downright nasty if you get on her bad side, and if you are such an unfortunate individual, such as Tamaki, who dared to call her 'Zero's whore' her expression can become chilling, and her teasing nature becomes ruthless as she responds: "Says a man with dirty thoughts. You pathetic yokel." And yet she never keeps away that slightly teasing, slightly mocking way of speaking to others out of her voice. She often addresses the prideful Lelouch with not just his name, but simply the words, "boy" showing just how little she cares for people's button's being pressed if she finds it amusing to her. While her canon-point has softened her heart to a good degree, this teasing part of her, is not gone, nor is her capacity to use it as a way to cut off any offender if they dare to cross her.
COMMUTER DETAILS: Not tapped.
POSITION: Student
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual? Unknown really.
ABILITIES & POWERS: Immortality. You can behead her, burn her alive, C.C. will not die. Her body will slowly regenerate itself from no matter how grievous the wound. As for the red sigil on her forehead, when it starts to glow, C.C. usually invokes some sort of power that when she comes into contact with a person, even if they are within a sort of vehicle, can send them into a strange dimension (within their own mind) where they are hit with often traumatizing images of the past, future events and even memories of their own life all in the span of minutes. An example of this is when C.C. touches Suzaku Kururugi's Knightmare and reduces him to a trembling, babbling mess not soon after, still within the enclosed space of his cockpit. People with the strongest of psyches, hidden deeds and buried secrets are not impregnable to C.C.'s abilities.
WAND: Phoenix-tail feather, Pine, Rigid. 11 inches. Specializes in Dark Arts and Transfiguration.
MISC: C.C. will be carrying a large yellow plush named Cheese-kun. It is very important to her! And there is also a pink crane she carries with a suitcase and a black hat.
WRITING SAMPLES
FIRST PERSON:
[ A girl with long green hair stares quizzically down at her book, flipping through it idly. ]

Interesting. I really don't remember this being the reason for the Salem Witch Trials. You could say I'm pretty experienced with history...

[ she flips through another page, licking her fingers absentmindedly as she reaches for a box of pizza sitting next to her, reaching down for another slice. ]
That reminds me. I want to know why this House Cup is so important. I know everyone loves to stoke their egos, but some of us actually want to know what rewards we get out of it besides points, or does no one ever think about these things? Pizza would be nice. I like the Great Hall just fine, but the pizza we get isn't the same as Pizza Hut, you know.
[ she shuts her book with a surprising snap, her expression as blank as before. ]
By the way, if you see a Slytherin named Lelouch, tell him I'm not responsible if his Hufflepuff brother ends up with his book landing on his head. His skill at levitation is horrible, I'm only protecting myself and doing us a favor.
[ it's then that you realize, that C.C. was sitting Indian-style a few feet above the ground the entire time she was talking. With a quirky little smile, she shuts off the feed. ]

SECOND PERSON:

Really, she was already a witch before. Was this wand-waving necessary?

As she sat outside reading one of the tomes she was given, she couldn't help but find the irony in a place where she was surrounded by witches. Her amber eyes flicked over the assigned reading, musing at the very supported information of witches throughout history, and couldn't help but be a little amused that she wasn't mentioned. "I suppose I wasn't the only one. Then again, this is another world. Don't you think so too?" She queried to the yellow plush sitting beside her, waving her wand briefly so that it began to slowly rise off the ground, landing with a soundless rustle into her lap.

Traveling the world again had been fine. The Requiem had only been two months prior and with the peaceful hayride she hadn't minded too much. Of course, that was before she came here and saw so many memories cherished come to life once more; particularly a certain impertinent, interesting boy who she had gone on many escapades with in their two year span together. C.C. let a quiet, nostalgic smile tug at her mouth, a smile safe to show in the solitude of her reading despite the many noises going on around her. "A magic different from Geass--... I wonder..." She continued her quiet musings on the grounds with little interruption. Of course, until she started getting hungry...
ooc; Thank you very much for reading my app! I will be out of town without my laptop until this Sunday, so if I have revisions, can we work something out? Thanks again. :)
[ACTION]
[ Within the room Lelouch and C.C. shared, there was a brief indention on the bed, that gave way to sparks of light. Within a few seconds a light that takes a human shape appears on the bed, slowly materializing into a figure--there was a woman with dazed amber eyes holding out her hands, her green hair casting a spot of color to an otherwise grim looking room. her hands trembled slightly as they went to her stomach, holding it there briefly with a look of confusion, and almost something like despair on her face before her expression smoothed out. C.C. lowered her head briefly, feeling the smooth skin of her stomach and closing her eyes, a faintly exasperated scoff escaping her throat, slightly hoarse with misuse. ]

So that's how it is...as if I should be surprised. [she sits there in the dark for a good five or ten minutes, hands still close to her abdomen. she has a feeling she needs to show herself soon..]

--

VIDEO
[ on the network a familiar or not so familiar face might be showing herself, face pale, but her expression is as closed off, her eyes are slightly glassy; she cracks a wry sort of smirk. ]

Well. This is a surprise, isn't it? It wasn't exactly what I had in mind. Somarium, you owe me money for my ruined dinner.
A guy of Britannia, what Lelouch was looking for, is just that bit of happiness. It’s not something special, the root of his actions. As a person, there are very tiny wishes which are obvious in everyone. These dreams, these words, who can renounce them? Who has that right? But, however, no matter who, no matter what the wish is, one cannot bind others and the world to himself. Determine one’s fate. If one allows the thought of others to go beyond that of the world, His existance is merely one which is drifting by the waves. Crimes and punishment. Fate and judgement. What is blocking Lelouch is the past he created, the hate between people. Even then, he should be thanking now. Yes. At least…it is a fact that humans exist to pursue happiness. All the wishes concealing those yearning, they are born from despair.” -C.C. "Pizza.
DREAM -- and you can tell the sun in his jealous sky
Warnings: None!
Affects: A sense of peace.

--

Blue sky. Endless sky. It’s the sort of sky you want to have over you like a warm blanket, that stretches as deep and warm as the green grassy fields beneath it.

The cart isn’t the comfiest thing, nor is it the classiest, it’s wheels occasionally catch on a pebble or stone in the dirt road and it ratchets occasionally, veering to the left or right, but it’s enough right now. The sun is warm and her arms make a pretty nice cushion for her head.

A girl is asleep in the back of the cart, a red hat falling off the back of her head and showing the long braid snaking around her frame and vanishing into the thick coating of hay. She stirs sleepily, her eyes taking in the deep blue sky. Against her hip is a yellow plushie, one you might have seen her carrying around when she was awake. It seems set on staying close to her, as she continues to stare.

Her clothes are shabby, there's hay in her hair, but she just doesn't seem to mind.

"Hey," She calls over her shoulder, as the man driving the cart pauses, glancing over his own shoulder as the horses continue their steady clop-clop on the dirt road. "You don't have an idea where we're going, do you?" She asks lightly. The man snorts, laughing at her. "You said you didn't care where we were going, miss. "

To which she pauses, and smiles a little. "Ah, I suppose I did say that. " The man continues, "Anyway, things in the world are kind of new right now, right? Seems a weird time to travel..don't you have somewhere to go?"

"I did for a while." She replies, continuing to smile her small little smile as she fingers the folded, pink paper-crane in her palm, lifting it up into the sky, held back by her fingers. "But not anymore and besides, I think it's time I wandered again. Like you said, things are new. But I don't really know where I'm going." She added thoughtfully.

The blue sky suddenly clouded with images of newspapers, fluttering in the breezes. In the sky, various objects floated down. A purple brocade and a black cape, a tulip-shaped mask, a single bandaid folded like a ring. Beautiful white robes and photographs. C.C. could hear the wind carrying voices, some familiar, some not so much, some dearly thought of, others not so much.

The cart-driver had one duty, and that was to move forward on his path, so what did these floating objects mean to him? These strange itemswho had no value to him. He'd chosen his path. C.C. looked down at the pink crane in her hand, tilting her head.

"So, do you mind? Not knowing." He asked again.

The girl fingered a pink crane in her hands, her braid curling over her shoulder until it lost itself in strands of hay. A happy, warm smile was creeping it’s way onto her face, a smile of peace and contentment, her eyes crinkling as she laughed, the same happy color as the sun.

“I can’t say I do.” And she tossed the pink crane into the air, and it’s wings suddenly flared out of it’s body, flapping up into the sun, clearing the sky up until it was a beautiful, perfect, empty blue..

“But I really hope wherever it has pizza soon..”
The cart driver shook it’s head. “Miss, we’re in the country you know, “
But she only laughed, the bright laughter fading into pieces of warm sound and shining images of light as the dream ended.

--

[Now one Witch begins to stir out of her sleep coma..sleepily blinking once or twice]
Did we stop already..?

dream; I saw her smiling at the top of the world..

Effects: A feeling of crushing pain, the pain of death, like you're going to explode, and as recurrent with C.C., that lingering, deep sadness. But there is hope at the end of the effects, like despite the pain, you still believe in something.

--

[The waves of the sea are crashing down on the rocks, as she pulls back, a faceless figure before her. Go, she wordlessly says with her eyes, before she shuts the hatch.

She is powerful and strong in a great machine.

Her enemy is undaunted.

But C.C. can only smile, her voice the calm, amused drawl, with the softly hidden laughter in her voice.]

"I have no intention of dying a lover's death with you.." She says to herself, looking down at the controls as she begins to move, dodging the enemy over the crashing waves. 20 feet, 50 feet, they rise, higher and higher in the light of the clouds and sun.

It's time to end this. She lowers her eyes to the controls once again, moving a few buttons back and forth as she pushes forward on a lever. The Gawain's gold encrusted fingers shoot out with strings, binding themselves tightly to the enemy, Siegfried. Sinking into it's hull, Her body jerks as she attaches the massive weapon to it's own orange body.

She lowers her eyes, as two shining tears roll down her cheeks, meeting at the point of her chin and into the hollow of her throat. The Witch looks up, a faint, tender smile on her face.

They plummet into the ocean.

Lower. Lower..--

C.C. begins to feel her body crash amidst the waves, the dark blue of the sea crushing her bones, her spine, the deeper they plummet. The Siegfried's orange form is like a speck in her vision as she feels a surging pain in her head. Like green sea-weed, tendrils of her hair float like an encompassing halo around her face, and she gives up fighting for air.

This is nothing different..--and yet--

A drop of water, like something from a sink, can be heard as C.C. releases her breath, and closes her eyes, as the water pressure breaks her bones and skull, until the blood runs through the window of the cockpit, and her hand is still outstretched towards the light of the sun.

There are greater things in life then death, and she wants to taste them.

Because...that's why she's C.C. Isn't it?
--

[she is asleep on the couch, clutching Cheese-kun to her breast, opening eyes and wondering why the floor is so wet. ]
♚ greet the dawn and i will be standing by your side
Affects: A sense of pride, deep surging pride, a horrible sort of loneliness, a painful happiness, and a spot of grief. And above all, what you least expect from someone like her, tenderness. (And so many other things.)
Status; Some words are blurred over, unless you are someone familiar to her, (Suzaku, Lelouch, . . )
Note: Heavy spoilerish? "( ) " are thoughts and memories.
--

She opened the door. A silence entered the dark room, along with a slant of light, as she stepped inside. “I applaud you for being able to put a mask on against Nunnally the entire way, “ The words were soft, as the person they were being spoken to lifted his head in that gloomy space, clad in regal clothing. His eyes were tired, and his head was lowered.

All of his masks were gone, but it made little difference. For you saw through each and every one of them.

(Vaguely you remember the little boy he had been long ago, with the wide innocent eyes, so much like his mother’s--..so tired and burdened and remorseful now. He is tired of the games now, and soon he is going to bring them to an end, you can almost hear that thought within his mind. But he is no longer a little prince.)

“I tried to find other ways around it, but the answers were always the same, “ The man said brokenly, unable to meet her gaze.

Strange, because he had always been able to meet your eyes, challenge and try to revive the dead and frozen heart inside of you, so ancient and tired and bitter and sad.

“That my decision back there was correct..” He trailed off, staring blankly ahead into nothing.

“Lelouch, isn’t this enough? “

(There is a surge of pride surging in your chest, a tenderness that wasn’t there before. It’s much like a thawing as much as it is an overwhelming sense of sadness. )

Images flash in your mind, enough to make up two years, of quiet nights where his voice would fill with excitement, his eyes lit up with brilliant plans behind them, as he leaned in and discussed them, hanging on your every word, trusting you, accepting you—

--Humanizing you. (Saving you. )

You sit on the edge of the bed, brows furrowed, simply staring at his back, you have done it for two years, and now that is about to end.

Moving back, you lean against his back, pulling your legs to your chest, listening to the breath leave his lungs, feeling his muscles move as he breathes, taking in every little mannerism, every thing you know so well about him.

Human beings die so quickly, but in the short two years you have lived with him, fought with him, guided and protected and taught him—you considered the options. You knew the path would make him lonely. But there was something about this boy that brought a glimmer of hope as his eyes met yours.

To know that these breaths are bound to be so much shorter now, so soon. . . to stop, so soon..

“You understand why I must do evil, right?”

You feel his voice reverberate out of his slender body, no longer the high-pitched soprano you remember hearing in the gardens, a mere guardian shadow against the foliage, a phantom behind a woman in a bright blue dress. .

You have been watching him for years now.
( You have become so used to watching over him. It feels right. )

“Besides, a reign under Damocles will make humans a symbol..”

He trails off, but as usual, your words are sharp, meant to shed light, lights that only you see, histories that only you know.

(Roads that only you can walk, and nobody else)

“But Nunnally is on Damocles, “

At night he would often have nightmares, and that name would escape his lips in tormented murmurs, the only word that needed to be said.

“You’ve been doing all this for Nunnally’s sake…”

(A little girl folds so many paper cranes, and you watch her, you recognize the tenderness in his voice, and you are reminded of what love looks like. You have forgotten it for so very long..)

He straightens up, proud, regal, solitary. Lelouch is not his father, he is not a good King, or a necessarily good person.

(But memories flash by of the way he said your name, the touch of his lips, the quiet promise that if you are evil, then he will as well. Because Lelouch doesn’t see you as a monster, or a demon, or an unnatural being. You are the annoying girl on his bed, who listens to him above all others, who stays with him above all others..—who knows him above all others)

“I cannot show her special treatment anymore.”

Your brows furrow, words so painful to say,
you know how much it must hurt for him to admit.

“For the sake of the many lives that have disappeared, we cannot stop anymore. ”

(Two years and there are enough memories to burn permanent holes in your brain. Enough to fill centuries and centuries of solitude with laughter, challenges companionship--..kindness. Do you have any idea what this means? What you’ve done—for someone like me—something like me---. )

And for an instant she wants to admit that she doesn’t mind if they never stop, never stop destroying and tearing the world apart, no matter the sacrifices, because she is selfish and she has never been a part of the world’s story before. Never been alive like this.

He makes you want to try.

And so he confides in you one final time.

“Right, C.C.?”

( “Don’t you think so C.C.? “ “What do you think C.C.? “
“Tell me what you’re thinking, C.C.---C.C. C.C. C.C.—and then a a human name)

You find yourself melting a little bit more, becoming a little bit more of a person than before.
You might even become a girl one day, but he won’t see it.

Lips twitching, you realize that you are smiling, and it feels like a true one, as you gently lean back, pressed against his profile with your head against soft, raveny-black, and your hand seeking his in the dark, tenderly, reassuringly, faithfully.

(“ I told you before, “ You gently wrap your arms around him.)

“Ah, that’s right..Lelouch. “

You stay in the darkness with him.

(“You and I are accomplices. I will stay by your side until the very end..” Whispered softly almost like a prayer.)

Where else would you be but here?

[You first hear a 'caw, caw' from somewhere, as a flurry of ravens hovers around the screen. As they clear, you have a certain witch sitting chewing on pizza as if nothing happened. She is currently wearing this and looks bored. She doesn't seem to notice one of the ravens hovering over her shoulder, or the fact that there is a visible half-glow around her body. C.C. is The Morrigan, Celtic Goddess of Witches and Death. ]

Ravens never had this much to say to me before. They're talking to you too, aren't they?

[she finishes the pizza, and without lifting a hand, it recreates itself in her hand. she'll be staring at that with a bit of bewilderment now. feel free to marvel, tell her about the weird bird, or the fact that she's partially glowing. she might even respond.]

[ooc; Note: One of The Morrigan's prominent abilities is the fact that she can foresee a person's death, future, etc, since, she's also called the Goddess of Death. Let me know if you want her to notice what you have in store for your poor muse. :( ]
Lately she's been thinking about the nature of this world and it's changes, and it's causing a sort of disquieted feeling in her. She is usually one step ahead in the affairs of what's going on, and this sort of unknowing makes her feel a tad erratic. She glances at the feed, still chewing, though it's a bit slower than usual.]

All Hallow's Eve, hm? Did such a thing exist in your world? Or do you know it as 'Halloween' instead? I wonder if you know the real nature of the holiday.

[she yawns, stretching out a bit more]

To those who've just arrived, I don't think you'll be able to notice, but maybe those lacking a decent amount of ignorance:
Something's different, wouldn't you say?

[glances offhandedly at the cieling, her expression as bored as ever]
Maybe it's the pizza.

[click]
Is actually many centuries old.
» GENDER: Mentally? Older than a 100 years. So really old viewpoints, more like ancient. Physically? A very pretty eighteen year old lady.
» ORIENTATION: Heterosexual. » COLLAR: A simple black collar with a chain dangling from the side with the silver symbol of Geass dangling on it. Looking for a good image ref.
KINKS
» YES: In progress.» MAYBE: In progress» NO: » PAIRING PREFERENCES: With males, pretty please?  And hm…I’m a big Lelouch x C.C. fan so …Lelouch would be on the list, even if she’d laugh at his stamina. She has a thing for long-term partners.

EXTENDED PROFILE
» APPEARANCE:
» PERSONALITY: Lelouch: You’re a very selfish woman.
“Of course. That’s because I’m C.C.”

From the beginning, C.C. is mysterious, willful to a fault, independent and seemingly selfish. Throw that in with pizza, her childish obsession with the Pizza Hut merchandise, and the fact that not even the strong-willed main character can get rid of her and you have a very stubborn woman. But what kind of person is C.C. is exactly?

For a woman who has lived five times the lifetimes that Lelouch has lived, what sort of gain does she seek to get from making a contract with him? She warns Lelouch that the power she is giving him will make him lonely, but at the same time she seems to know the outcome of his decisions. The minute she enters his life, she breaks every sort of expectation he has. And still somehow discloses herself in perfect secrecy. Even her name isn’t actually her name. Her answers are vague, and she often puts words in Lelouch’s mouth.

C.C. is very independent when it comes to what she decides to disclose and what she doesn’t. She can be dismissive almost to point-blank rudeness, and she always speaks the complete truth even when it can be as harsh as a razor-edged knife. When Lelouch’s actions as Zero kill the loved one of one of his friends Shirley, C.C.’s bluntly asks him if he regrets it, and questions why he is so confused. She even goes so far as to harshly call him weak, and even though Lelouch tries to silence her, C.C. will not stop giving her opinion, and continues.

“You’re just a boy who’s all talk with dreams of victory in his head.”
C.C. makes it perfectly clear to Lelouch that she isn’t someone who will handle the brunt of his problems and try to convince him that what he is doing is just. Instead she lingers, she watches, and she waits. Early in the first few episodes C.C. tells Lelouch with a smirk that she knew she pegged him as ‘interesting’ and she expects him to hold to it. After all, she gave him quite a gift, he better not be so childish as to waste it wallowing in his emotions, as she bluntly puts it next.

“You no longer have the right to get agitated or choose to do nothing. You shouldn’t do that if you want to live. Don’t disappoint me.”

In other words? C.C. tells Lelouch that he better not come complaining to her about the outcome of his actions, and like a well-seasoned advisor, serves as almost his harsh reminder of the choices he has made, and that it is his responsibility. Even though at first Lelouch doesn’t take it well, he realizes that as frustrating as it is, C.C. is usually always right. Which leads us to another trait of hers. C.C. is extremely intuitive. She can read between the lines, and deal out hidden meanings better than most of the cast. Which is why her rapier-wit, her sharp tongue keep Lelouch constantly in line. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t like to tease or point out the obvious to other characters for her own gain. More particularly Kallen Kouzuki, another female lead who struggles with her feelings for both Lelouch and his alter-persona, Zero. One main point about Kallen is that she doesn’t like being left out of the loop, and is often jealous of Lelouch and C.C.’s close banter with each other. That and the fact that C.C. always seems to know everything. Which is why when C.C. switches with Lelouch’s role as Zero while he goes to school, Kallen expresses jealousy and irritation that Lelouch wouldn’t go so far as to inform her that C.C. was actually dressed as Zero on that day.

“I don’t like this. Him going so far as to keep secrets from us.”

To which C.C., who already has a clear idea of what Kallen means, and without reserve, turns to her and says, “’Us?’ You mean ‘me’, don’t you? “ C.C. always knows the right buttons to press, and somehow always manages to avoid trouble for it. Whatever scolding she does get for her sharp-mouth, she breezily blows it off, commanding Lelouch once during one of her independent excursions to ‘not be strict with her’.
While C.C. could generally care less what anyone thinks, when Tamaki questions her role as Zero’s advisor, she immediately casts him off as someone stupid, and goes so far as to call him a ‘pathetic yokel’ and says, “It’s been some time since anyone has ever spoken to me like that.” Which gives you an idea that C.C. won’t tolerate any sort of verbal abuse from anyone, even though she can dish it out without batting an eyelash. That doesn’t mean she isn’t seriously effected by it, for the most part if someone from the cast says something rude to her, she remains as calm as ever, drawing out another trait of hers, her seemingly emotionless, constantly apathetic outlook.

Of course this doesn’t always apply to the whole series, but for the most part of season one, we get an inkling of a cold-hearted witch who locks everything away and spares no mercy when speaking the truth. Not to mention she, for the most part, appears unbelievably willful and selfish, going so far as to steal Lelouch’s credit cards so she could get a bite of her obsession and constant craving, Pizza Hut.

When Lelouch angrily asks her why, she simply says things along the lines of, “Because I needed it.” As if that is the most reasonable explanation. When they actually meet, C.C. without even announcing she is staying with him, kicks off her boots, unzips her straitjacket, and slips into Lelouch’s bed right in front of him. Indignant, Lelouch interrogates her and her only response is an airy, “Persistence irritates me, “ before she turns on her side, showing that she only listens as much as she wants to listen, and more obviously, she does whatever she wants when she wants to. Since Lelouch doesn’t get the hint at first, C.C. tells him that ‘boys sleep on the floor’ and cuts off all conversation, saying “Goodnight Lelouch”.

Appearing outside of his room without any respect for boundaries, she goes so far as to verbally press his limits by showing up in places where she puts herself in jeopardy which not only adds questions to Lelouch’s identity, but makes all his friends wonder if he has a girlfriend. She even flat-out states to Nunnally, while not altogether lying, but not exactly in the right wording, that she and Lelouch are promised to each other. For a time poor Nunnally believes that C.C. is marrying Lelouch.

So most of the time C.C. leaves a trail of things Lelouch constantly has to cover up for, making you wonder what exactly is so useful about her. For the most part? She seems like nothing more than a nuisance. However that doesn't mean C.C. doesn't have her instances of showing actual human emotions. But first, one has to wonder what sort of life C.C. has lived that made her shut herself out from the world.

While she appears to be cold and heartless, she in reality seems more likely to be a lonely, almost outcasted individual; and considering her long existence, C.C. questions her own humanity at times. In a rare scene of vulnerability, Lelouch questions what her real name is, and she tearfully asks what purpose there is for someone like her to have a name. For Lelouch, who is quite possibly one of the first to show her genuine kindness, she wants to know what it sounds like. What it feels like. She asks him after his curious question that if he really appreciates her saving his life, if he would say her real name in an intimate way. "Say it gently. Like my lover would." Of course after that brief moment of when Lelouch says her name, C.C. instead of being sentimental and thanking him like most normal girls do, she does the unthinkable and instead, laughs at him and tells him: "It sounded terrible." Causing Lelouch to exasperatedly tell her how difficult she is, which only leads her to smile and remind him that is exactly the reason she is who she is.

While she tells Lelouch that he is no longer in a position to do nothing with his sins, she is also the one who is there to help him get through the burden of them. After killing his beloved half-sister out of necessity, C.C. is the one who speaks to him quietly, softly in a private room. She is the one who sees through his false bravado, his arrogance, and finds the fragility and vulnerability underneath. She is both intuitive, and frighteningly observant. Ironically? It's just what Lelouch needs. Someone who can keep up with him on equal terms. It is C.C. who takes him into her arms and gently assures him that she will never forsake him. She even promises that she will "stay by your side until the very end". Why? Because they are accomplices. Her rare moments of compassion give the viewer a faint glimpse that there is still humanity behind her cold exterior.

But what else makes up C.C.? How does she view life? At the start, she is cynical. She doesn't feel much for humans and says that she can't remember being one.
While it's obvious being with Lelouch has wakened some dormant parts of her, thoughts sealed away by her lonely existence, is it enough to change her viewpoint?

"It's just pointless accumulation. You can't call that a life. Lelouch, my wish is to die. To end my existence."

For C.C., who has suffered by human hands countless times, has a bitter outlook on the concept of love, friendship or time itself. To someone who has lived hundreds of years, she is easily bored, and easily unaffected by the countless events of the world. After all, she's seen it all before. Perhaps her curiosity in how Lelouch changes the world causes her to re-evaluate if human kind can truly alter fate .Maybe she is just bored, wanting to find something to do? Or perhaps she wants to have faith in humankind once again. Whatever the reason, she isn't at all comfortable sharing her painful history, and when Lelouch gets a brief glimpse due to her powers, C.C. appears visibly distraught, going so far as to shed tears as she tells him that he is 'unveiling' her, and begs him to stop.

"I can't remember being human, or who has loved or who has hated me. All that is left are the memories of a witch."

Now these words capture the core of C.C. Like the wish her Geass granted her, C.C. longs to know what love, kindness, and human affection feels like. She is a rather isolated and lonely person that deep down, doesn't want to admit she still longs for the sort of love she was falsely given in her youth. The years of being without this, She was used in the past, for her gift to give contracts, her Geass that invoked forced love, but Lelouch, Lelouch shows her how it feels to be treated as a human.

By the end of Code Geass C.C. is still her snarky, seemingly apathetic self, but deep inside there is a warmth that wasn't there before. She is quicker to smile in the last few episodes. In the end, we have a C.C. who is finally deciding her life has value all because of the impact of a single act of kindness brought on by Lelouch.» BACKGROUND: A mysterious witch who gave the main character a power that altered the fate of the world, her name is lost to time. Instead? They call her ‘C.C.’. She says rather proudly that this is a name for a Witch, and not a human. But why are her eyes so lonely? She lingers behind Lelouch as a shadow, watching each and every move he makes. Altering his fate, the witch makes sure he grants her deepest wish.
‘What, you thought I saved you? Don’t be stupid! You and I have a contract. I’ll keep you alive no matter what. No matter how much it takes me. No matter what I have to do.” – Altered quote from the Manga : Code Geass;

Her contract ended up turning the witch into a human, all because of a simple act of kindness from the boy, Lelouch. Now he is gone, but the warm memories remain. No longer wanting to die, the witch is free, and she travels across the country, a nomad on a haywagon, wanting to see the changes in the new world that has been made. Or maybe, just maybe, she is merely bored. The second seems more likely…
» OTHER: Um…she’s immortal? So anything except the collar will not kill her. Oh and she’s obsessed with pizza. C: Literally. Obsessed. Her hair is naturally green. Don’t touch the Cheese-kun. It’s her sacred baby.

MORE IMAGES

Lala sleepware:

Geass sigil/ closeup

Current outfit.

CONTACT
» OOC JOURNAL: [Bad username: ohlizzie"]
» AIM: Example; ..Don’t really have one.
