Old Games vs. Linux. Primarily for Kritter, but someone else might care too.

Both the Windows and DOS versions of XCOM: Enemy Unknown / UFO Defense run under Linux via either Wine or DOSBox (respectively). In fact, not only do they run, but the DOS one actually runs better than the Windows version under Windows 9x with absolutely no configuration other than the regular game setup. The Windows version was running in an extremely tiny window and kinda slowly outside of menus, but I'm sure I could tweak everything to make it run better if I felt like it. I don't though, since it is actually easier for me to run the DOS version anyway.

I was initially planning on taking a screenshot of them both running, but apparently the Windows version (via Wine) doesn't like running at the same time as the DOS version (via DOSBox). They were both running though, and now I have to keep myself from just abandoning my plans for the day and just playing XCom all day. >_>

Anyway, back to the primary reason for posting (beyond letting Kritter know since she's not online and I know she reads LJ); Anyone have any suggestions for games to try? I'm looking at late DOS-era games and early Windows era games - ones that don't run properly under Windows XP.
