So much fun! : ) <3
Haa, I had so much fun on the field trip. :D We went to these really cool hills/mountains, so I was a little angry that I forgot to bring a camera. ]: Oh well, I'll bring it on the next one. We also went to the...Mahogi River I think? It was still pretty early in the morning, around 10 or so, and it was beautiful! All of the teachers like to pick on me though. -pout- I took out my cell phone to try to take a picture, but Mr. Boshko was like, "Put it away, you'll have time for your boyfriend later." DD: NOTCOOL. But anyways, later we went to some old mines, and they were so creepy! The tunnels went on for miles, and the shafts were up as high as 300 feet! There were a few ghost stories too...Everything was so incredible...and fun. We did some horse-shoe tossing and water balloon shooting. :] Luckily, my team won. xD; (Mr. Backman says he's never lost, and he'd be pissed if we were his first to lose. >>;) It turns out that some videos/movies had been shot there too. Like...the Killers once. We watched a scene of this movie, where a they had a plane explode near the little info house, and it was so weird! The plane remains are still there near the house! It was weird to see the house too...xD What else...oh! I had a great lunch (xD). It was home-made macoroni salad. <3 So good.
After we left the mines, we went to Shark Reef in the Mandalay Bay (I think?). They had these amazing animals there! There were a bunch of different sharks, and fish just as big as them! I swear, those things were HUGE. Not to mention, some of the exhibits had the walls as glass, so you could see through them to the blue water and all of the fish. It was like that on the ceiling sometimes too! The turtles were really cute. xD The sharks scared me a little. o-O Not to mention when we got to touch sting rays. >>; I freaked out a little at first, since Steve Irwin died from one...they feel so weird. x_x Like really smooth/slimy things. I saw some jellyfish too, which were...incredible to watch. They were so...calmly beautiful. Like they were part of the flow of water themselves. I saw an alligator too. It's the only one you can see without going to Thailand! So after my friend and I were done, we looked at the gift shop. They had so many cute stuffed animals! >w< But they were really expensive. D: I mean come on, $20 for a seal? Well, my friend and I decided to get two identical necklaces that changed colors for your mood (I got a moon and she got a star.), then we pooled the rest of our money (and borrowed some from her teacher xD) and bought a penguin! He's so cute. C: We named him Peter.
So when we had to leave, we got to one last place. Dairy Queen! We all got free cones. They were really good. *w* But I didn't finish mine before we left, and we couldn't take them on the bus. Mr. Backman was so mean too, saying that if there was an award for the slowest eater, I'd get it...-pout- I mean, I already know this! After hearing it from my brother, friend, AND myself, I think I get it! Hah...so, we went back to school after that, and after about 5 minutes, we left for home. All in all, I had so much fun and am so glad that I decided to go on it!
