Contra Fortissax
Musings over a bullshit artist.
I first interacted with an account by the name Fortissax on Twitter, when he tried to convince me he didn’t know anything about Christianity because he grew up in Quebec. I could tell this schmuck was trying to do that Hatchling gambit and I didn’t fall for it. I called him a retard and blocked him.
Recently this guy wrote an article, and I’d like to go through it to show why it is, in essence, bullshit.
Fortissax opens with the claim that Christianity is only “living” in the United States. Whereas in Canada it’s down to 5% regular attendance. I assume this means weekly. Is this true?
No, of course not. Not that I would use polling as an accurate gauge, but roughly 68% of Canadians consider themselves “religious”, and 23% attended some kind of service in the past month. 40% at least once a year. Incidentally, it’s as high as 72% religious among women, with 50% attending some kind of service at least once a year. Protestants are tricky, of course. Many of them do church online now, and I don’t know if the recipiants would necessarily consider that different or the same. These numbers are from 2019 and I have no idea how they changed through the pandemic. Generally, places saw a bump and then return to mean.

Now unlike Fortissax, I’ve actually lived in Europe from time to time. Outside the major cities, most people still live normal church-going Christian lives. Some are liberal, some are conservative. But they go. And if they don’t go, they watch religious shit on Youtube. I personally don’t really care what the cities are like. People don’t breed in the cities. These are the populations going extinct. They are also larger populations than the rural side. So no doubt, they throw off what the actual population outside global cities are like.
Bavaria is esepcially fascinating in this regard, still hobering at 60% - 80% religious in many regions. Incidentally, Bavaria is some of the only parts of Germany experiencing a surprising birthrate growth, having risen from 1.3 to 1.6 over the past 20 years. Naturally, the most Christian look likey to outbreed the rest of Germany. So yea, Fortissax doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
The next thing Fortissax does is contradict himself, naturally. He claims to have grown up ignorant of Christianity, and yet he can identify the exact churches his ancestors attended and their denomination. I’m simply not buying it.
Unlike Fortissax, it seems, I have traveled around Quebec because I love Gothic Cathedrals. Just as in Europe, I note that the general population outside the major areas are still religious. The actual breeding population that will still be here when the urbanites die childless. They are quite knowldgable. Not only on Christianity, but on the new faiths from India and the Middle East. I found I could debate with the Quebecoise the merits of the Quran as poetry, or the bravery of Rama - and no, they were not foreigners. They were common Quebecoise folk.
Now, I would not call them officially religious. Most of them, like many, just watch religious slop on Youtube and are vaguely Christian-ish. At 10% church attendance, they don’t seem particularly serious - and yet, Quebecoise still go to church for their weddings and funerals. In fact, polling found that 53% of Quebecoise still call themselves Catholic. So,where Fortissax gets the idea the region is post-Christian, I do not know. Perhaos his shitshack in the middle of bubmblefuck was more isolated than I can conceptualize.
Now I’ve gone through the “Catholic but don’t go to church” phase myself in neighboring New York. I still knew and read the bible, I still knew the characters and teachings. I simply didn’t go to church. Perhaps Fortissax thinks I should have been a total ignoramous as he pretended to be. In reality, Fortissax is likely playing the Hatchling. He knows all the religious mumbo jumbo. He is playing a part to justify his claim. That’s my opinion.
Next Fortissax plays on the common meme, convert like your ancestors did.
This is frankly retarded. Liberalism as we know it is predominatly a post-war consensus project, and it is already dying just 60 years later. Pagans were converting to Catholicism for centuries. Liberalism will be extinct in decades. I need not go into this further. It’s nonesense.
Next Fortissax attempts to argue there’s nothing to go back to:
This, of course, is garbage. Perhaps he should look to his ancestrial cousins in France, where Catholicism is booming once again. Faced with the despair of what France is, many are returning. This year marked 10,000 new baptisms into Catholicism is dear old Gaul, and this constitutes, it seems, the largest block of the youth. France, of course, has one of the highest raising birth rates in Europe - of course, it’s not yet clear if this is from domestic French breeding, or the newcomers from North Africa. However, if Bavaria is anything to go by, at least a slim majority is from the native French. Annual adult baptism from the past decade are up 160%, and 75% of catechumens are under the age of 35, with 44% younger than 25. It seems Fortissax bought into the post-Christian myth that France can’t go back. In fact, they are.
I fully admit he has a point in places like the UK, and Western Germany. But what can I say. His own ethnos is steamrolling the RETVN meme.
Fortissax has some nonesense about Paganism too. But the same problem always arises. What do Pagans actually believe, and why? Point to a religious text, and they will pick and choose what they believe, if anything. It’s always vibes-based. Never literary. In the same way Christian Liberals will pick and choose what to believe, so does Fortissax treat the Pagan texts.
The rest of what Fortissax says is recycled nonesense and fertility slop you hear with most Conservatives and whatever Musk is. It’s pure slop. We all know demographics are shit. What’s never said is that it’s just the cities. The urban population was artifically inflated for industrial empires, and now that both those industires and empires are gone, those populations are collapsing. Big surprise! But nothing to panic over. In the same way that I look forward to an America of only 100 million citizens, I look forward to a depopulated Europe where wages are higher, church attendance is high, and happiness is good. Stop panicing about this shit. When the post-industral cities die off, there will still be Christians-a-plenty, and likely the majority, across Europe - and perhaps Canada too. Certainly in America. Don’t buy into demographic slop, and don’t buy into Fortissax’ hatchling bullshit.
I’ve never watched Fortissax on his history podcast. Maybe he’s good at it. In terms of religon and demographics, he’s a retard. And as far as I’m concerned, another reminder of:
Kanuko Delenda Est.

According to my cousin who has a 17 yrs old daughter, youngster in high school are bringing Bibles to class! They are looking for a clear message and a return to strong "boundaries" they say... She lives in Quebec city. Not sure if that means anything but sure made me smile. Certainly a different kind of "vibe". I also noticed new pro-catholic channels on YouTube in French and the content creators are less than 25 yrs old. My cousin is an artist married to a painter. I jokingly replied that after the period of abstract slop and deconstruction in Art, it sounded like a return to forms and might bring about a neo-classical wave. I will also note that as far as I know, Fortissax is not French but a descendant of loyalists.
The guy comes off as an ankle biter attempting and failing to gainsay the rising tide of Pro-White and Christian groups.
Guy is a gamma male par excellance.
Fuck him.
