Advanced Clock is a tool developed by Le Minh Hoang. It is part of the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST). This tool was created using Delphi with OpenGL instructions. It is a great and useful program that places itself on your desktop when you install it, and presents you with features like an alarm function, various customizations, an ability to be loaded automatically upon each Windows startup, a screen saver and many others. This program will also allow you to shut down Windows after a defined period of inactivity and set reminders. You can change the appearance/style of the program to your liking.
The main difference that we can mention between the versions 5.8 and 5.9 (the last version available from the developer) is that the latter corrects many bugs and is supported by Windows Vista. The version 5.8 was developed to be supported up to Windows 2003. There are no major changes of the main functions and options of the program. It is definitely a nice and attractive clock for your desktop, with many extra features for your convenience.
