Recollecting myself.
I'm now on the journey of recollecting every fragment of mine that was left behind due to the cruelty of this world, every fragment I left behind because it was “uncool”, every fragment that was so important that without them it wouldn't be me, I left them because I never knew.
It takes courage to change, but sometimes the change isn't worth it. You give away your fragments to the world, you give away your true identity, in the name of shaping yourself, you constantly hit yourself with a nail, which, instead of giving you a shape, breaks you.
You need to stop breaking yourself before it's too late. People are depressed, yet they're surviving, but only if you have never left those beautiful fragments of yours, It would've been so much easier to survive.
Your fragments are your original features that made you different from others, that made you stand out, that made you unique, your kindness, your artwork, your perspective..
You don't have to change yourself; you just need to improve, and improvement isn't breaking yourself; it's carving yourself into a shape you want to be, it's carving yourself into a shape the world desires.
Only if I knew that the world is cruel enough to take away my soul from me, I would have never tried to please it.
If those fragments of yours can harm anyone, then it's better to burn them, but if they're beautiful, then you should take a few steps back, pick those fragments and carry them with you for the rest of your lives.
They say “it's never too late”, no, it can be late sometimes, the world is cruel and those fragments could be fragile.
Take a few steps back, pick those fragments you left, and use them as a catapult to launch you even ahead of your current self.
A message to the reader: it's never too late to start, even if you start now you can possibly collect some of the fragments that the world couldn't destroy. Thanks for giving me your precious time, now it's time to give that precious time to yourself and recollect those fragments.
