Hello my name is Sera and I write poetry, reflections on life, & I paint and draw occasionally and will post on my journal such things mentioned. I like the Victorian Era, Greek Mythology, German Expressionist film, Silent Films, Sci-Fi & Psychological Thrillers. I'm a huge fan of Twilight Zone.

I love things that try to describe life or psychological states we reach or are at. I feel we're limited in the English language to truly describe everything particularly and in depth still, but love when we just scratch the surface in the meantime.

Hi :) I'm happy to see LJ is still around...hopefully. I see the last post in this community was 2024. I used to be an active poster/reader here a long time ago. I'd like to start posting again semi-privately, i.e. to a group of online lj friends. I want to a place to vent, talk about random things, post about my dreams and welcome readers to comment. I'd like to read and comment on your posts, too.

A little about me — I work in engineering for a local city government in the US. I'm creative, too. I write and paint. I'm an avid table top board gamer. I love science fiction and fantasy in all of its forms: TV, Film, Books. I also like to deep dive into various topics from anything science to paranormal experiences.

I generally don't have any rules about whom I want to friend me, and you can get a look at my interests on my mini-bio (I am a high-functioning autistic as well). My sticky journal post also sports my general golden rule in deciding whom to add back as friends, and there are some public examples of how I express things like my political opinions in my posts (though I try to remain more professional with my film and other reviews). I look forward to interacting with you all.

Back in the day I posted on LJ all the time, multiple times a day, but that's not so much the case anymore. These days I barely post to me own journal more than once a month, but I keep intending (and failing) to change that.

Fact is I post to my communities more than my own LJ; in more busy times I was the admin for 100 communities... and they all stilll exist, but like with everything else they're not as active as they used to be.

Why do I stick with livejournal? Mainly because I have a permanent account, but also this place just really works for me on certain levels.

Mostly looking for those that post in English, but browsers do have translators in them so there are no absolutes on that. Be somewhat crazy... every little bit helps.

I've had numerous, debilitating health problems my entire life, including cancer, and tumors. Because of this, I live in constant pain.

I'm recently off a 9 year long distance-relationship, with a married woman.

I'm into kink. There is a specific part of female anatomy that drives me wild.

I'm living with and taking care of someone who is currently dying of lung cancer which has spread fucking *everywhere.* A guy who never smoked in his life.

I suck my thumb.

I have OCD.

I have problems. Problems that most people don't have.

I have journaled for the better part of my life. I have them scattered across txt documents, across word documents, across wordpress sites, across sites coded in HTML that I, myself designed.

I have had reams of paper and books with locks with my words for as long as I can remember.

When I am hurting, it seems to help, and I'm hurting.

I try to journal every day. I do it for a while, then I stop, then I come back years later, and I feel like shit because I haven't done it in so long.

Its a long, fucked up cycle, and I hate it.

I have no idea how long I'm gonna be here for, but I'm gonna try forever.

I have lived in fear my entire life about being able to fully divulge myself for fear of being labeled a fucked up wacko.

Who sucks their thumb, or likes shaved female armpits?

I do. And I don't want your judgement.

I want to tell this story. I've been thinking of compiling a book. I still have all those documents, and could compose 10 volumes of shit already.

Any way I do it, I think its going to start to come out.

But the only way I can have this form of self therapy is if I'm able to do it fully, and completely, and for that reason, I need my anonymity.

This isn't a story for kids. That's the only warning I'm gonna give.

And while I may reveal things to you that you absolutely despise me for, I will repeat, just one more time:

Is this place still alive? Lol. (Slightly) new journal, new start, new friends? Hopefully? I'm Pixel or Pix, which ever you prefer, I'm 28, going on 29 in about 9 days. I can hardly believe it. I work at a warehouse so 12 hour shifts for 3 days straight has become my thing. But in my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my boyfriend, drawing, graphic and web design, writing and organizing (strange hobby but it's true). I have a very creative mind so it's always on and about with ideas for what to create next. I may indulge in photography. I enjoyed it before but other hobbies took place of it.

I also enjoy some fandoms. Dragon Ball (all anime), Naruto, Boruto, SVU, Pokemon, Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, Sailor Moon and working my way into Fallout — starting with 3. I'll always love and enjoy NCIS original and LA and all Star Trek series (yes Enterprise too, I did enjoy it) but they aren't active fandoms of mine. My fandom list is not huge but I do enjoy trying new anime or games out. But i do put emphasis on Pokemon. I've been a Pokenerd since I was 10 and I actively play PokemonGo and collect the cards across all tcg series! Brownie points if you love Pokemon too.

So my posts.. they tend to range anywhere from creative posts (like what I make, ideas of what to create), daily life ramblings, photos of daily life stuff, articles I find interesting, some fandom posts and what not. I don't have many posts on this one but I've been on elljay for years.

I'm not too horribly good at "advertising" myself to make new friends. I am introverted and quiet IRL but I can talk up a storm on here lol. I'm on LJ in hopes to make friends to talk to. I can't say I'm the most interesting person ever lol

I am so awful at self promotion. I am a human, I guess that's a start. Yeah? I live in Australia and I am fluent in talking shit and I love rugby league. I believe that some things in life you can't be cheap with one of them is toilet paper. I don't believe that everything happens for a reason.

I identify mostly with Nordic beliefs & customs. I've spent years educating myself on them and slowly learning languages from the region and learning how to interpret and read runes. It's not something I'd say I'm an expert on. I just enjoy it. I am writing a book and the main characters have very strong Scandinavian roots, so it comes in handy there.

I like 2 minute noodles & Jack Daniels.

I am completely tone deaf and have no sense of fashion.

I have heaps of interests, none of which I can think of now.

Hi there!

I have decided to write/communicate about my life and thoughts as I believe this is a good approach for self-reflection and consciousness.

I am a female, 30, living in Germany. I am married to a wonderful man. I am working as an electrical engineer.

I like books on psychology mostly but I am also interested in other science-related literature. I like museums and I love the cinema and theatre.

Fitness and sport is important to me but I detest watching it on TV!

I love to travel and experience foreign people and their culture. I like to learn languages, even bits and pieces which I like to use in my every day life (people are either delighted when they understand it or hate it when they don't). I was raised bi-lingual so research suggests that this is one of the reasons why I can quickly learn new languages.

I love most David Lynch movies but Twin Peaks is my favorite work of art. I love music by Massive Attack and have a quite diverse taste in music but I hate hard-core, be it rock/metall or rap.

I am looking for friends from all over the world who like to share their lives at LJ.

Been meaning to post this a few weeks but keep not, which fits my LJ habits in general the last few years.

I've been on LJ close to a couple decades, on some account or other, and while I used to post to communities and my journal an insane amount of the time daily... nowadays it generally more like monthy, and even then mostly to my own stuff.

Said stuff being my communities, I used to maintain about 100 of them and while they're not at all active anymore... they're still there.

Got a Twitter. I'm a twit. What I post to my journal doesn't goto it, because what gets tweeted goes to my journal. Handy way for others to see what I'm doing in my communities that friended me but haven't joined them.

Anybody welcome to friend me. I'll probably friend you back at some point... gives me some more people to reply to.

Hello, I am an old user of livejournal. I have been having this account for a long time. My friends don't use LJ anymore so I think I want to be active to LJ again and making new friends :)

I love watching j-drama and anime. Currently I watched SPEC and really love it. I especially love Ghibli works and One Piece/Ouran in the same portion :)
I also love music so much. I think I can't live without it. I love a lot of genres (but most of them are indie): rock, folk, jazz, singer-song writer, anything except country and hip hop (sorry). I also love classical music and seem like will attend every classical music event in my city haha.

Generally, I will write a lot of random stuff about my life, my works, my hobbies. And a lot of feelings too.

I haven't had an LJ account since I was fifteen. I'm 24 now. I recently created an account because I've been traveling the world and I'm always told that I should have a blog. It immediately turned into an outlet for my way-too personal for real life friends journal entries, and my late-night poetry. I'm bipolar, and so you can expect a lot of hypocrisy and contradictions. By no means is this my very first time here. I took a few years off and then I couldn't remember my old account name or password.. so I made a new one.

I think that this one is going to be more fitting to what I have grown into. I'm also going to try to keep up with it.

So let me tell you a little about myself. I love watching horror movies and I love picking them apart and talking about them to people. I love drawing and I'm currently doing fractals and learning 3D art.

The only fandom right now that I am really big into is Ghostbusters. Yeah, I know it is an old fandom, but I don't care. I have always loved it and I do believe that I will always love it. There are so many things about the fandom that I love. And no, it is not because I have a major crush on Egon/Harold. Well, ok, that is one of the reasons. There are several others.

I love table top games. I usually go out every Monday night to our local comic book shop and play table top games with a bunch of my friends. We play whatever the game host brings with them. Some of the games we have played in the past range from Zombie Dice to Smallworld. Sometimes the games are super simple and fun and sometimes they take a good deal of strategy. I love either one.

So yeah, that is basically all there is to know about me. I'm a nerdy female that loves horror, Ghostbusters, art, science, and tabletop games. What more could you ask for? Hehehe.
