Mod post- Valentine's Day, ICness and Game Courtesy

Hey all. Bear with me as I touch on a few things.

First! Valentine's Day events are ongoing and will continue until midnight Saturday. Those who choose to will be transported to spend quality time with the ones they love, whether friends, family, or romantic interests. They won't be exempt from the dangers each zone offers, but they will get to be with that special someone. :3 Love is in the air~ Snuggle up while you can, lovebirds!

And now, for the serious stuff.

Trying to head off drama before it starts here- as some of you may have noticed, the Paine player has left the game. This wasn't a voluntary move on his part- we've been forced to ban him. This is not a move we undertake lightly, and it's one we try our hardest to avoid if at all possible. The incidents with this character and the mun, however, were problematic and caused a lot of IC and OOC problems for many people. So now, I bring you a few notes of How to Play Nice With Others.

~*~ Try to be IC. This is something we rarely encounter here- you guys are lovely and awesome and wai- but it needs to be stressed. Being a multifandom with a lot of action, it's natural that characters are going to grow and develop and change according to their surroundings. Just keep their basic natures in mind when this happens. Expecting a character that isn't a fighter to whip out chains from nowhere and tie your character up is kind of a bad idea. So is going from 'RAAR DIE' to 'Hey, wanna have a tea party? :D' in five seconds. (Unless your character is ICly bipolar or insane, anyway.)

~*~ Do NOT stalk other players OOCly. The out-of-game stalking perpetrated by the Paine player was a factor in his removal. We encourage friendships and talking outside of game- hey, we're all friends, right?- but there's a point where it becomes creepy. Most of us know what that point is, and how to avoid it.

~*~ By that same token, if there's no reason for your character to be interested in stalking another, then DON'T DO IT. Sure, it happens, and it's usually the result of discussions between muns and in-game events. Just up and choosing a character and saying 'hey, I'm gonna attatch myself to you and force a romantic relationship/rivalry/whatever' is a no-no. It's fun to have OTPs and to see characters get along *winkwinknudgenudge* but don't decide it and then stalk the mun and character. That's just creepy.

~*~ NO GODMODING. Ever. Mod-controlled NPCs are exempt to a point from this, as they're NPCs and the background forces that help shape the plot, but even then we try to make sure that everyone can agree on what happens when something occurs with several characters. There's a natural give-and-take that comes in good roleplaying. Part of the fun is not in being the victor, but in the struggle to try and attain that. Again, this is very rarely an issue that crops up here.

VERTERE LAYOUT

In order to make life easier for your characters have an idea of the general “feel” of each sector (and for you to list your character’s current lodgings for reference), let’s ordered everything in this entry.

Center: It looks like a mix of Atziluth and Briah of Angel Sanctuary, pure white, high technology, fresh air, cloud whales at the sky, and a copy of the garden of Eden without the creepy Tree that grows around the Tower of Etemenaki where Adam dwells supposedly.

Places and their dwellers:

The Fountain: Located just in the middle, carved with beautiful angel sculptures and of the size of an ocean. There are places that are depth as a real ocean.
Tower of Etemenaki: AB (hatefulcreation)'s place. Located in a floating platform above the fountain, unless you are Rosiel or Alexiel (or Setsuna), you can’t break in (they are the key to enter). The Garden of Eden grows around it.
White Ministry: It’s located in front of the fountain. Resembles the Mansion Sevi owned. Raziel (besteamaker) lives there with Uriel (repentedwings), Michael (chosenoflight) drops by. There’s a Water Garden within with many fountains and a library of books written in Enochian (Zaphkiel’s office copy).

Vehicles: None. Use your wings. ;)

North: The North, with exceptions of the houses that were willed before the twisting of wishes, resembles a cosmopolitan, modern city: Skyscrapers, traffics, neon lights, cars. Think New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo. There are neighborhoods with old mansions, cultural themed areas, red zones, industries, etc. It’s a tad polluted as the big cities.

Places and their dwellers:

Fountain of the North: Like all the fountains, it’s located with the limit with the Central zone. This one is colored blue and has human sculptures adorned it. It’s a gate to Sheol and through swimming it, you can access to the Underworld that connects with the other zones. That is… if Pyramid Head, Ren or AI don’t caught you.
Museum Annex: Located several blocks at the left of the fountain (as landmark), it’s a place full of natural and fictional wanders as is taken from the sights offered to the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Haydee (hrh_haydee), Henry Jekyll (doctortwoface) and Wilhelmina Murray (miss_murray) live there.
Wayne Mansion: With Batcave and Batmobile included in the “basement.” Bruce Wayne/Batman (mrbrucewayne & maskedknight), Walter (humblebutler), Shiori (kitsunekaasan) and Integral (iron_countess) are the current inhabitants. It’s located near small woods, at the right of the fountain.
Coffin Order Company office: A 80s old building with six floors. Mimiko (the_compromiser) lives there.
Bran Castle: Radu’s (cel_frumos) castle is settled after the woods, on a hill, near the barrier with the east.
Caim's House: where Caim fortheunion resides. Somewhere.
Sonozaki Estate: Shion's oniimouto home. A large, traditional Japanese home matching an imperial palace. It's surrounded by a large fence.
Tyrfin Plaza: A postmodern four-story apartment building four blocks west of the fountain. The top two floors are all one apartment. Reeve littleblackcait and Denzel sect7orphan live there.
High Rise Apartments: Alex theveil_beyond, Henry h_townshend, and Chika kawaii_chika live on the fifth floor.
Orchid Palace: An elegant five-floored Japanese castle. orchidcircle, fuuga_chou, and stoner_ninja live there.
Golden Manor: Ky's holyknightky home in the French Quarter.
Wilder Mansion: Big mansion where Zelos lives.
Brookhaven Hospital: A block down from the High Rise, where the locals can seek medical help. All healers please apply within. Short on staff.

Vehicles: Diverse from bikes to bicycles to common cars or horses. What is considered mundane like buses or trains as well.

South: Science Fiction layout with high, rotating towers of impossible geometrical shapes, little vegetation, mostly covered with steel and with plastic. The sun can be seen double as well as the moon. Other planets could appear in the sky with frequency. Robot cats and dogs are usual street dwellers. There are holograms of parks and forests all around it.

Places and their dwellers:

Fountain: Located with the limit of the center zone, the fountain of the south is yellow with android like sculptures that change of position. Just like the other fountains, it’s a secret gate to Sheol.
Moonlit Tower: Isaak Fernand von Kämpfer’s (rozenmagician) lair. A black-glassed building in front of the fountain. Inside the place, the illumination is calm and serene as if was bathed with moonlight. It has plenty supplies of wine in his exclusive cellar. And the seventh floor comes after the fourth, fifth and sixth are Isaak’s secret laboratory, located in a black hole he can access and where his pets (ravenous monsters) slumber until he calls them. Caterina (milanbutterfly) stays with him as a guest and assistant. Nuku-Nuku nk1124 also lives there.
The TARDIS: Wherever the Doctor fantasticninth wants. :D Usually by the fountain.
Homeless/Other: Dynamo dainamo is wandering the streets looking for trouble. Cait Sith littleblackcait is hiding in alleys and snooping around the Moonlit Tower.

Vehicles: Flying cars, tele-transportation, etc.

West: A place of wonder and magic! Crystal palaces, green hills, clean air and vegetation, magical fauna and flora alike (mermaids in your seas, fairies in the woods). There is not technology here, all functions with magic. But watch that there can be witches in the woods of winters or dark places even in fairytales not everyone lives happy ever after.

Places and their dwellers:

Fountain: Painted in bright green, a rainbow shines above the water and possess sculptures with fairy wings.
Cephiro Palace: A copy of a three towered crystal palace with jewels where Lantis (tragedynomore) and Hikaru (redstrength) reside.
Lake Despair: A mirror lake where people can walk over the surface or breathe underwater where Ahiru (ducklike) spends time in her duck form. But careful, you may drown in your sorrow forever if you go to the bottom.
Red Stable: Rudolph's rudyred home, where it's always snowing.
Magic House: A lovely home surrounded by rose gardens, it's where Megumi glowingrose lives.
Homeless/Other: Murakumo 8perfectsouls lives in whichever forest, plain, or cave he can find, since houses are yucky human inventions.
London Shop: A two-story shop where Galen white_scar lives.

Vehicles: White carriages pulled by pegasi or unicorns, choose your magical pet.

East: A bleak landscape taken from horror, mixing the west and east themes of it. From gothic castles, graveyards, haunted houses or eastern inns to thick forests filled with darkness. Lightening and thunders are common even if it isn’t raining.

Places and their dwellers:

Fountain: Carved in red, the fountain has sculptures of satyrs and women with horns and batwings.
Miyu’s Forest: Just with the limit with the South, there forest made of twisted, dark trees that bear crystal fruits. The sky and mist around it is red. Miyu (mytimeisfrozen) created that place.
Castlevania: The chaotic and demonic castle where Matthias Cronqvist aka Dracula (mcronvist) resides with his monsters.
Thieves Den: A house near the fountain covered with plant like. Kuronoe thiefreturned and Kurama redorsilver live there.
Undisclosed House: Somewhere in the West. Karasu's lethalcrow home.
Adandoned Home: A vacant home now occupied by Sesshomaru coldmoonlight and Yukina.
Vampire Mansion (Castle Dracula): A large, foreboding castle as far away from the barrier and fountain as possible. Protected by forests and demons. Alucard reaperoflondon and Seras timidwalker reside there.
Shinra Mansion: A large, gloomy, ramshackle mansion near the West/North barrier. Occupied by the region's Avatar, Vincent demonvalentine.

Vehicles: Dark coaches pulled by bat-winged, black stallions or monsters.

Sheol: The sights of Sheol were already explained in previous entry. The place is dominated by the rivers Styx and Lethe whose waters flow against the gates that lead to the Satans domain. Before that gate, there’s a purgatory or limbo where those who died and were too innocent remain until the rest of their days (or someone brings them to life). The sky is always red.

Place and dwellers:

Enma Ai’s House: Purgatory/Limbo of sorts. Ai (ai_enma) and her servant, Ren (watchful_hell) judge the dead to be ferry into Sheol. The house is a traditional Japanese one with endless rooms inside, a pond where Ai usually bathes and has a garden filled with red, spider lilies. Inside one of Ai’s rooms, there is an altar filled with candles with the name of the people of Vertere (minus angels, nobodies and satans). With the candle extinguished, means that person life has ended, when the flame rekindles means their life was restored.

Reply please with your character’s residence, please! The replies will be screened once the lodgings are done.

[Plot Point] This weekend and the next week!

This Saturday, all who died will return to life. Alexiel (who carries the lingering but fading goodness of Adam Kadmon) will make a transmission then it'll happen. This applies only to those who didn't strike deal with Satans to get out.

Characters who are yet to be logged, don't worry. Muns in charge of Satans (including myself) can backlog if you still want. Just figure out what they will do during the said log, ok? ;)

Because of that good action, this Sunday AB will transmit a message that will twist the "shaping or getting" things by will/wish, including homes. So guys, hurry up into getting places to stay.

Plus, this Monday until next, the characters you want (is optional) will be taken to a place of Vertere you want, as long they are negative or have a negative reaction (such as uh I don't know a dangerous vampire/demon/etc in the human sector, or someone living in Sheol or at the east). Characters can be taken to more than one zone and will return to their rightful places when the week ends.

The 14th though, they'll have a taste of "Heaven." The characters who want, will be taken to the person/people who they love or they are in love with. For Valentine's Day sake. ;)

Attention!

Everyone please reply to this entry with the name and lj name of your character and where should I place them. Remember to also clarify, in case those who will be ferried to Sheol, the Satan you want them to be subject of. Forget about their sins but think in what type of plot you want:

- Belial/Mad Hatter aka Satan of Pride: Quite multilayered. S/he can be malicious or sweet, depending of what is up for her/him or if likes the said person. Sie could slave the character into hir service even in life (as secret agent), seduce the character to the point of making his/her life unbearable without hir, corrupt his/her soul into the darkest thrills, etc. Or could be eccentrically creepy and amusing. Usually dwells in a safe fortress. Demon Lord Faction. S/he’s known as the Tainted Butterfly and can appear in that shape.

- Leviathan/Baroness of the Sea Dragons aka Satan of Envy: ~~Invented by us!~~ Antisocial, uncaring about other Satans, envious of them because her height was abnormal (that made her insecure). She lingers in the “veins” of Sheol that form lakes and seas (made of blood, acid, poison, fire, or the water that heal the wounds provoked by the others, turning into those who touch them in giant dragons – scales can face the hazard liquids). Leviathan wants people suffer her fate and have company that doesn’t annoy her: dragons. Neutral.

- Barbelo/Dark Witch Queen aka Satan of Wrath: Dominatrix woman, malicious and quite hysteric. Targets are usually males, she makes them suffer conveying images of their loved ones before strucking. Also, Barbelo is known to have a small army of her own children. She lives in a palace. Demon Lord Faction.

- Astaroth and Astareth/Duke of Terror and Duchess aka Satan of Sloth: Astaroth is the most cruel, cold blooded and sadistic Satan. He only cares for torture and is overjoyed by the fresh-spilled blood. He has a huge labyrinth that makes his victims futile wander inside in hope of an exit. However, his sister lives in his body, when she’s dominant, Astareth is sweet and kind, scorns her brother’s madness (she’s also weaker than Astaroth). However, she’s insane too. Astareth is so fixated into have a child that swallows people alive, taking the form of a giant snake and making them her children. Maternity lasts until Astaroth awakes and slays her “baby.” Anti Demon Lord faction.

- Mammon/Count of Gold aka Satan of Greed: ~~Also mainly by us, based in his cameo and little information Yuki provided.~~ Mammon is an upstart, he was low ranked as angel and was able to advanced in demonic ranks by gathering wealth. He supports whichever faction is more in control, swings without problems (though Asmodeus dislikes him, he’ll support Belial more). Not completely malicious, but a lover of the shiny, he’ll want to cash in everything. If someone has no use, he’ll turn that person into gold and jewels and be part of his collection. His palace is completely bejeweled, walls of gold and silver. Everything glitter, wherever you look. He can also take the shape of a raven.

- Beelzebub/Lord of the Flies aka Satan of Gluttony: ~~Also make up by some mods, based on design and Yuki info~~ Beelzebub in his angel form refuses to eat, he thinks that his kind is above that. Haughty, fanatic of thinness, prude and quite huffy about manners (almost delicate and dramatic when someone is rude). He used to be a former cherubim, the only “food” was knowledge for him, making the angel too studious for his own good. But when he’s victim of the uncontrolled hunger of the very thing he wants to deny. To separate himself of this creates the Lord of Flies persona, switching to the unclean shape of a disgusting giant fly where everyone and everything is his meal and doesn’t have to think in any high art by sate his stomach. His clean library becomes a slum with bones and carcasses until his victims are devoured or turned into flies to join his ravaging. Neutral.

- Asmodeus/Count of Judgment aka Satan of Lust: Asmodeus is an old gentleman, lay-back with zany manners, perverted and with an eye for beauty. He lives in a Casanova villa where there’s usually a beautiful woman around for him to play with. Like Barbelo is good for male characters sexual drama, Asmodeus is for women. He, despite appearing an okay-demon, collects them, love them until he gets tired of them as children do with toys. Slaves them in a way. Like a butterfly collector. He, just like Belial and Mammon, is one of the few Satans that characters can reason with (his weaknesses are his love for Belial and his hatred for Lucifer). He loves gambling too. Leader of the Anti Demon Lord faction.

Each Satan is God in their places. They wrap the space and only those items (or characters) related to Lucifer could win an upper hand.

Nobodies: They will be separated.

The people who escape Sheol will move into the direction of the species. When that happens, reply this entry to switch that, please.

Each zone will have a fountain that connects with the main fountain of the center (the design will vary. The human fountain will have statues of humans in white, of the east of satyrs, of the west about fairies, of the south of androids, etc). That is the secret passage to “jump” the barrier of the zones but is not IC yet. Also, know that what is beneath the deep water of the fountains is Sheol and thus Pyramid Head. ;)

The barrier will work as the usual barrier of Vertere, the characters will return to the point of start (the fountain of each zone) every time they want to cross it. Only if they swim down the fountain, they may find little resistance. AB/Rosiel won’t know this method exists due to a plot point.

Avatars are able to “lift” the barriers, likewise Rosiel and AB can play with this (they can be malicious and provoke problem to their workers). Those characters with evil intention will have their powers unlocked to cause ruckus, if they speak to AB or Rosiel, they may find themselves in another zone too (to the Avatars’ confusion). It’s flexible and will depend of what happens in game.

When AB makes himself know tomorrow, the fourth wave will start. The characters will be misplaced and appear in their respective zones near the fountain(s). The darkness will be lifted and the sun shine (except at the east there will be night when that happens).

[PLOT POINT - The Fourth Wave & Final Stage of the Game]

Hiya! Lorena/Lazy mod here to broadcast once more the plot changes! The “final” stage so to speak! ♥♥♥

The fourth wave is near (actually this Friday-weekend near) and with it some changes.

First change will be Adam Kadmon. His taint will be complete and become Adam Beliyya'al' (who has his own journal: hatefulcreation). AB (unlike AK) feels nothing but hatred and resentment toward everything, this will affect his twins (which are really his body split in two. Alexiel represents the Organic, female and positive, Rosiel represents the Inorganic, male and negative. Two halves of Creation).

Rosiel will become mad and cruel while Alexiel shall be selfish and indifferent. However, before the taint gets her fully, Alexiel will seal herself somewhere (which, IC, only her reincarnation, Setsuna will know) and is going to be able to communicate through the journal (and grant some blessings/help if your characters move her. This privilege will diminish as the taint grows stronger) but no longer appear physically, maybe in spirit (she'll be back at the end of the game, as either ally or antagonist, depends of how the characters play). However, Rosiel will be a very active villain since AB has no body yet (so would be the Avatars and other characters ;) ).

Second, Vertere will increase size, as a world within a world. The geography will shift into darker and twisted, harmful for some citizens. When the fourth wave strikes, the characters will be separated according to species and kind (or status), barriers maintained by Avatars (which one governs the directions isn’t decided yet) will manifest to keep them apart. They can be fooled by being tested by the Avatars or try to destroy them by your means. The separation is the following:

North: Human beings without (or with little) supernatural powers that never died.

South: Cyborgs, robots, anything that was created by science, organic or metallic.

East: Vampires and creatures of the night (ghosts, demons that aren't fallen angels, werewolves, etc).

West: Other magical folk or non-humans that aren’t into the last categories (i.e. wizards, fairies, immortals, etc).

Center: Angels.

Sheol: The people who died and was resurrected by AK (either before Vertere or after). This doesn’t apply to those who came back by their own means. Those trapped here will be ferried by Ai and Ren to one of the Satans’ domains according to their strongest sin (Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony or Lust). Please, those with characters that are dead, leave a message with the said sin (logs can be discussed involving tests, trials and escape). If you want your character out, Alexiel (and the remaining goodness of AK) will resurrect them and ship them to the proper direction (this will happen naturally after the period spending here).

The Nobodies will be scattered across Vertere (the muns can choose the place to go, including center and Sheol). They have an important role in the general plot. :)

Only Avatars, the ones who work in Sheol (Ai, Ren, Satans) and Rosiel’s minions will be able to travel to every direction without problem. They can pretend to be loyal. ;)

Now to three subjects of changes:

- Villainous characters (characters with bad intentions in game) will have their powers unlocked even if they aren’t Avatars. What AB wants is hatred, fear, suffering and strife. He isn’t like AK, but his opposite. So he’s going to use that negativity to grow stronger.
- Be careful what you wish for. Vertere is no longer indulging. You will get what you want but in a twisted way (use your imagination).
- When a character die, they will spend a time in Sheol under the care of one of the Satans and each of them is very different. Three-Four days minimal. Read up what I typed before. If you want to avoid character’s torture/drama or your character is too innocent, they could stay in Enma Ai’s house before the Lethe River until is time to return.

The final goal is to destroy AB before he gets a body, everything will slowly restore to normal if he vanishes. If he were to get a body? Your characters’ worlds and all creation will shift, making hatred the strongest force and a Paradise of Pain! (wouldn't Xuchi be happy?). But how can you destroy the current incarnation of Creation without undoing everything? Xehanort has the key written in his heart.

The bit of AB-Creation shift isn't IC information yet.

Before that, though, there is plenty to be solved! Think subplots with the numerous Avatars, villains, your character’s loved ones separated. AB (and Rosiel) is just the final big boss. ;)

Hey all, Jess here, aka the Old Mod, here with late-breaking weather news and information. As the city is about to be plunged into evil darkness again, Michael is going to do the city a kind favor and melt away the snow so we all don't freeze our little butts off! He's such a nice boy.

So, what's this mean? The first day (tomorrow) will be a switch from snow to cold rain to darkness. Day the second will be STEAM and darkness as Michael puts that fire of his to good use to clear things up. So expect it to be warm and sticky like the worst London days. Third day is a fine mist and darkness; after that, the weather will be clear with a 100% chance of DARK. Things'll go back to normal once the darkness lifts, but until then, beware the monsters that lurk under your bed~

[PLOT POINT - The week of darkness+Raito's farewell]

Hey guys! Lorena here with heads up in the plot. ♥ ♥

The game is going to change and become darker. Today starts what will be known as “the week of darkness” and that will continue until Friday and next weekend with the coming of the fourth wave and the transformation of Adam Kadmon to Adam Beliyya'al'.

First, I will explain what today important events to keep an eye in logs.

- Alexiel-Setsuna log. She’s going to give him Nanatsusaya and a warning of things to come. Already done. I will post it immediately after this.

- Raito will release Pyramid Head (after sunset Shahni?), so his darkness will help Xehanort. So he’ll be roaming looking for victims all week (if you want him to punish your character, please drop a comment!).

- Underworld will become more infernal. Enma Ai and Ren will be back to their vengeance duty and the Seven Satans will appear. This means that the characters will experience vices in a stronger way. For instance, the Satans of Gluttony and Lust may influence vampires into wanting to go bloodlust (or normal people to eat/lust over someone), the one of Sloth induce laziness of spirit/mind/body (for the would be heroes, for instance), the one of Wrath may prode those characters easily to anger to not be able to control their tempers, etc. Many npcs shall have a small Sodom and Gomorrah during those days of darkness courtesy of the corruption of the Satan of Pride. Etc. This will have Pyramid Head more active. ;) None of this influence is mandatory, just suggestions if you want to join with your characters. The Satans will be only in presence but soon they’ll manifest (unless Lucifer orders it, and not all will obey). In the future, they will but that’s for another entry.

- Axel will give up his heart for his Superior with the help of Raito. Then Raito will bid Vertere good-bye. :(

Please, before posting anything related to PH, wait until those logs are up and complete. We’ll explain the fourth wave on Wednesday, after we polish the last details. Any questions?

Hello, guys! This is Lazy Mod here to announce some developments.

The Gala will be open this entire week for interaction and fun but we don’t want to stall the plot (consider that backlogging), so all the cute characters will give the grand finale with fireworks+stuff in a log that will be in ad_interim_logs that is going to describe the acts to bring forth the hope. We expect this log and the following one in which the sun will rise are going to be complete by January 3.

To all the cute characters muns, the stars will have an order of appearance; the acts are completely of your own choosing (and can be double acts with pairs too). Please, I beg you to respect this order and if I miss a character, I’ll add it (or some other mod can edit it).

Anyone is welcome as long is sickening cute, cheerful, hopeful and cuddly. Kawaii to the extreme! May and Ahiru will go last, so you have time (I’m fleeing to bed soon). Anyway, the following characters/players have contacted me:

Hey again, kiddos! Things in Vertere have sort of died down to a peaceful lull since the destruction of the sun, so it's time to give the collective city a good kick in the arse to get things going again... and what better way than to ~~try to~~ bring back the sun for the New Year? :3

So! This is a CALL TO ARMS for the chibi and kawaii! What better way to bring back the joy of the sun than through the hope of all those who are innocent and pure? The love and joy and hope of the collected masses at Count Cain's New Year's bash can supplement the power of the kawaii to bring some light back to the city! So what does this mean for you, dear players?

IF YOU HAVE A CHIBI/KAWAII CHARACTER: Bring them to the ball! This means anyone who brings joy to those they meet- Sugar, Ahiru, Nana, Cooro, Rudolph, Kotarou, Nuku-Nuku, etc. - ANYONE with a pure heart would be perfect fuel to kindle the spark of hope needed to bring back the light! The more the better!

FOR THE REST OF US: Get thee to the ball! or if that's not possible, then commiserate with your fellow man- but ideally, if the characters can make the ball, they should. We want EVERYONE to participate- this is YOUR game as much as it is ours (or more), and we want to give you all a chance to get knee-deep in happy plotty stuffs! But if you need as second opinion I'll be happy to give you one concerning details and presentation. Also with checkups on the friends add and character lists sections.

We wanna get this game up and rolling before The End of this chapter comes and we need EVERYONE'S cooperation in this. Unless your characters canonically don't give a shit, then that's perfectly acceptable. Just realize that there are consequences for EVERY ACTION and we'll get along greatly! We're pretty lenient here and rules are made to be bent, so I'm willing to do what I can to accommodate you. Just make sure whatever major plot decisions you make that can affect a group to grand scale are taken up with me or the mods firstly.

Shahni-mod reporting after a two week hiatus. I apologise for all that has been missed, but RL obligations have pretty much kept me tied down.

Now, what I'm going to discuss next is somewhat important, so I hope you all can give this some time and attention. Due to obligations, both RL and RP-wise, I've decided to give up my position of mod/GM. My gaming will also become rather sporadic as by next semester, I may have to also pull out of all the games I'm in. However, I'm not stopping playing in Interim, I'm just not going to be able to do any of the moderating duties nor am I going to be available on days other than Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Which WILL be days I will be available without a doubt.

So, as a request to the players, if anyone is willing to offer taking the reins of Interim's background plot, as well as successfully lead the game to the ending of the current background, I'd be more than grateful. While I do want to finish the defeat of Adam Kadmon and the Nobodies ending their war against darkness, I do not wish to see Interim, which has become a haven for many friends to interact in, end just like that. But I do wish to see the game end with it's players completing their ongoing plots eventually.

I will however, still be overseeing the game - but not as a mod. Once someone else who is suitable for the position takes this place, I will not say anything in the running of the game and continue the plots I'm in as they are without affecting whatever the new mods would like to bring in. If they wish to use the current ongoing plot, that's all good and well too. If anyone wishes to apply for the head mod position, including current mods, feel free to do so, the current mods will decide (including me) and hopefully the players will support whoever they think is suitable for the task.

As you all know, being a moderator is a serious duty and carries a lot of responsibility (.. I shouldn't laugh.) and I would be grateful if the moderator is someone who has a lot of time to devote to it. I am modding two other communities which are on a smaller scale so they're easily looked after, but I do not think I have the energy to keep up with a bustling game like Interim's strength. ♥ please forgive me.

With that said.. comments would be appreciated, positions to be filled, love to be spread.

Hello, hello players! I know there's been some miscommunication going on, but fret not! Every problem has it's solution. So, let's just go over these friendly reminders.

Do not godmode another player's character without permission. Godmoding is when you control another character's actions strongly without the player knowing of it - for example, killing them when the player hasn't agreed to it.

Every action has a reaction. Unless specifically stated, your logs and entries are open for all to read/interact with. If you wish for a specific group of characters, filter it accordingly.

Your character is in a multifandom setting and will make friends. Please bear in mind the repercussions of your characters actions and the ripple effect it will have on other players' characters.

With that in mind, IC actions have IC consequences. Please expect realistic consequences if your character gets into danger/is sad/etc you get the idea.

If you have problems with other players, please inform the mods immediately. We will hear all sides of the story and act accordingly.

If making posts that will be disturbing, or doing a plot action you haven't discussed with players who's characters interact with yours, please provide a warning in ooc cut. A small warning will do, to avoid any confusion. Regardless of how secretive the character may be, the players have a right to know so they can decide where their characters will be and work accordingly.

Make contact with your fellow players. Be it in OOC brackets, or contacting them through the character sort by player list. Communication is the key to good gaming.

Be courteous and polite to your other players. We can be reached at adinterimrp [at] gmail [dot] com for any reason whatsoever if we're not available on our messengers. The mods' info is listed in the userinfo!

Remember the game's backdrop. If you're not sure whether a certain action is allowed, please feel free to ask.

Please respect the rules of the game. The game has a backdrop and central running plot. Do try and get involved with it, or create your own to go with it! This place does have a purpose for your character to be here for. We'd love to see more plots that involve all your characters!

I think that's it. :D

Also! I was tinkering with this idea for a while, but figure it's best to ask it now. Many a time our characters get into relationships (becoming friends, etc.) with other characters. Sometimes, when players drop those other characters or kill them off, it becomes difficult for players interacting with them to continue.

IC-ly, the creator of Vertere, Adam Kadmon, has the power of time. Now, here's a suggestion, and I want players to please vote through comments with suggestions/support/your opinion, depending, on these next step of actions.

When a player drops a character, naturally the remaining characters' reactions are pretty much shock, sadness, depression. This is natural. Now we have these options.

* Specified Erasure : IC-ly, the characters go to the river of the Underworld (which is a distance from the actual Underworld, so IC law is not broken) and drink the waters of the River Styx, keeping the person they want to forget in mind. A mention of their name and the thought of their face, and all memories in-game that were created of them (that is, limited to the world of Interim if you're trying to forget a canon character from that character's world but complete memories of characters of other fandoms) will be erased.

* Adam Kadmon's Time Magic : Players have the option of making a filtered ooc request for memory erasure on their character journals, to which Adam Kadmon will IC-ly remove memories/possessions of those specified characters from the City of Vertere AND their memories, because they have 'returned home'.

If, however, those characters have handed possessions to characters already in Vertere, those possessions will be retained, even if the 'forgotten character' will retain them in IC when they are picked up. ( ex: If Sephiroth gave his Masamune sword to Rufus, and died, and Rufus did not and the player doesn't want Rufus to remember Sephiroth, they can forget Sephiroth, but while Sephiroth's other possessions may disappear, Masamune, handed to Rufus, will become Rufus'.)

This will however, remove any built relationships your character may have had to these characters, and 'clean slate' your character to the time when they hadn't met or developed with those characters. While you can have your characters 'feel' as though they've met, they wont remember much. Other characters who haven't forgotten them can remember them, however.

Also, this gives new applicants a clean slate to work with when applying for those same characters.

This is of course, optional, as players might return, or you might not want to have your characters forget those characters. In the same way, if you wish to re-gain memories lost if players wish to continue the same relationships, a similar filtered ooc request can be made, and the Waters of the Fountain will be used to restore their memories of Interim Earth/Vertere.

Easy enough? So. Yay or Nay for this system to be put into effect? ♥

[Character Updates]

Not the usual kind you're thinking of! Let me explain. I'd like to know just what all your characters have been doing since they first started in this game! And that means for all you veterans too who started out here from way back in Catchphrase too!

Need a better example? I'll give you the first example of Johnny and what he's done since I joined here. It'll go sorta like a timeline, stating just the pivotal points in their time here. You don't have to get too detailed:

Character: Johnny
Date Start: March 16th, 2006 (wow it seems longer than that.)

1. Johnny starts game in Catchphrase, the worlds are split, he longs to find a familiar face.
2. Johnny finds Axl, and befriends Riku, Tiranox, Ranmaru, Megumi
3. Johnny finds May. Axl is captured. Johnny sets out with Megumi to find Axl.
4. Johnny fight's Tiranox. Ends up in a coma for over a month. Johnny is found by his crew.
5. Johnny finds Axl on a deserted island. Axl time-slips in front of him as Johnny attempts to make an emotional confession. Johnny is sent to Vertere.
6. Johnny enters Vertere on Nightmare Day. Ship crashes into city. Crew sets to fix ship.
7. Johnny fights Robo-Ky and destroys him. Johnny scouts the city, hearing Tiranox is there and plots to kill her.
8. Megumi begs Johnny not to go through with it. Johnny meets Axl again. Arguments erupt between them.
9. Johnny lets go of his plot to settle on the trials of the city people. Johnny befriends Dynamo and hires him as his personal mercenary. In the meantime getting himself in trouble with the Avatars and their laws against love.
10. Johnny fights Robo-ky again. Is unknowingly infected with Hojo's Virus through Robo-ky. Johnny is incapacitated for a few weeks.
11. Halloween night Johnny is up and about. Meets Axl for the party. Gathers his wits to tell him how he feels. Johnny returns home to argue with a put-out Dynamo.
12. Johnny turns into a beast. Johnny finds Dynamo fighting the Piraka and drags him away to the May ship.
13. Johnny fights Chipp and is heavily damaged. Johnny retreats to the forest to recover.

That's all on his part! Now it's YOUR TURN! Tell me what your character has done! The mods here would like a full update so everyone knows where everyone is at in the game up to this point! :D

♦ Monsters will be clearing out today! Raito has been painstakingly (... I cracked up writing this.) making sure that they all are banned to the lowest level of the Underworld. All streets will be cleared at:

8am GMT - 12am PST - 2am CST - 3am EST - 5pm Korea (For Miru. XD). So feel free to have your characters roam the streets again and view the city again, as it recovers from all the evil surrounding it!

♥ Lots of plot developments happening, and I hope everyone joins in the fun! Rosiel has also created an artificial moon, so now the city will have some illumination in the form of it-- also! This just sounded pretty, but the lakes will be surrounded by pyreflies, as will the fountain. More lights there, and the cobblestones on the pavements will have a light glow to them, as the evils are banned to the underworld. This will go on until the sun is restored.

◊ The temperature will drop in the city, but plants in the open area of the city will not die. However, self-planted things by the characters will need to be brought into natural grounds because they'll die very quickly. Reminder that characters that are killed can return back to life within 4-6 days of their deaths, longer if you need it for plot purposes but not shorter. People who were dead before coming to Vertere are alive in Vertere and CAN leave alive so long as it doesn't affect their lives there (as in when they leave, they have the choice to return to death, or live again) but those killed in Vertere will be trapped here forever and will disappear with the city if it vanishes. Characters have the choice to 'send their souls back to their worlds' and not return at all (and you can drop the character if you please, so anyone who wants to pick up the character after that can 'rebirth' and return) or come back to life and struggle to discover what will release their souls from this city, or just enjoy it for eternity. :D

♠ Snowfall will begin within a few days, all leading towards a white Noel. :D Just for pretty's sake. Rain, blizzards and storms will be announced prior to happening.

☆ We're drawing up a locations list very soon! This will help people to point out if they want any places in certain areas, like homes, stores and stuff. Main locations are listed in the FAQ so if you guys have ideas for places, or even more sectors within the city, feel free to suggest them and ask questions and plot events!

Plot points!

☆- It has been ONLY ONE DAY since the trial. The trial ended at sunset.
☆- Sephiroth's destruction of the sun will happen as soon as evidence against Raito is revealed. However, due to timings being conflicting, I will be posting the sun destruction log TODAY at 6pm PST, 8pm CST, 9pm EST, 2am GMT/UTC. So I've been molesting timeanddate.com, quiet.
☆- After the sun destruction, about an hour from it, the Silent Hill monsters will emerge from the Underworld and so will return Pyramid Head. For the next four days, anyone stepping out on the streets will be harmed unless they know how to fight the monsters, or don't run into them!
☆- The Police Force and Avatars will be granted immediate immunity from the monsters, but not from the citizens. Hence, they will be able to hold them off until they have the citizens to safety!
☆- Aizen Sousuke is going on a murderous rampage. Watch out!
☆- Vertere will be cast into darkness without light for the first night. Get out your torches, search lights, beams-- and the stars will light your way. An artificial moon shall form in the morning and blaze pale, white pretty light over the city, an effort by the police force.
☆- Pyramid Head will only attack those that come in his way once the Police Force orders everyone to evacuate the streets and hide in their homes.

I'm sorry for the arising confusion! Please have fun, form your plots, start conspiracies and give the higher-ups headaches, and we'll have events during the 'days of darkness' as well, now that holiday season is approaching.

Don't forget to update friends lists! Please remember to comment there when joining so the mods can add you. If you do not comment there, your journal will not be added and we wont have you in our lists!And that's no fun! Also, everyone make sure you are on the character sort by name and character sort by series and comment if you aren't so all lists are up-to-date!!

And be sure to introduce your new characters (even if you're an old player!) in adinterim_ooc!

The Sun is not going out until tomorrow. There was supposed to be a wait and the log for the destruction is to be posted. It has NOT happened yet. I apologise for the confusion (and have no idea why it started, to be honest, since we haven't stated it occuring) , but Brandy-mod stated that Shahni-mod was going to be posting the log if she was unavailable, and since it hasn't been done, it's obvious that it has not happened.

We will be posting a log for it. Your characters reactions will come after it, and we will announce any major events in the form of logs, or in the main community.

Greetings, people of Vertere!

Vertere is about to undergo a change that will affect everyone present in the city. Please read the following information carefully and, if you have any questions, please post them here.

Reeve Tuesti's trial will take place tomorrow - Sunday, November 11. Upon completion of the trial, Sephiroth will be destroying the sun. When this occurs, he will be putting up a barrier to protect both the city and the people from being destroyed as well. However, the city will be cold and dark for the next two weeks. The only light will be provided by an a sort of artificial moonlight.

During this time of darkness, the creatures of Silent Hill will be loosed upon the city. If you do not wish your characters to be harmed or killed, stay inside and do not come back out until the sun is put back into place. In addition to the creatures of Silent Hill, Aizen will also be moving through the city, killing anyone he can get his hands on. If you would like your character to be killed - permanently or temporarily - let me know. Temporary deaths will last 4 days.

Allow me to emphasize that if your characters die, they shall not be able to leave Vertere when they are resurrected. If you do not want your character to be trapped for eternity in Vertere, make sure they are kept safe.

The monsters of Silent Hill will roam Vertere for 4 days only, at which point they shall be cleared out and sent back to the underworld.

As a final note, the doors to the various worlds will soon be opening. For those characters that wish to return home, make sure you keep them safe during the next 4 days.
