Great news: the government is starting to implement the 10-year health plan with the introduction of the single patient record!

The NHS Modernisation Bill will introduce the single patient record, resulting in safer, more co-ordinated care for patients.

A single patient record means people will not have to keep telling different NHS staff the same medical information.

The NHS Modernisation Bill aims to make care better for patients and reduce pressure on hospitals. The Bill is being debated in parliament today.

It is expected to save the NHS more than £20 million a year by cutting medicine mistakes, bad reactions and repeat prescriptions.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Cancer52 patient survey on Monday 1st June. Cancer52 is a charity and an alliance of over 100 patient groups and charities that represent and support people with rare and less common cancers.

The survey will help us to strengthen the voices of people affected by rare and less common cancers. Through the survey, we hope to gather insights into patients’ experiences, challenges, and priorities across the cancer journey, helping to inform future advocacy work.

We will use the findings of this survey in our work to influence Government and NHS policy to improve diagnosis, access to treatments, and quality of life for people with rare and less common cancers.

Please find out how to contribute to this survey by visiting our website here:
