probably the best present i got on my birthday happened when Robert and i returned from dinner out with friends to the apartment and upon entering into the kitchen he stopped me, i turned around to face him, and he gathered me up in a little embrace and said "happy birthday to my beautiful girlfriend of 1 year." :) i'm sure he doesn't think i'm cute at all anymore, and i haven't been, but it was still my favorite present.

obviously a bunch of stuff has happened since the last time we had the internet and i posted. ummmm. food wise has been grrreat: filipino, hot doug's (!!), more old l'viv including yummy ukrainian beer (whoda thunkit?), what else...were the first empanadas from before or after? i forget.

so broke it's frightening. but we get by somehow.

i sense listlessness in this household. some of it's from me, even.
