gutteral and exotic, still two of my least favorites. for reasons beyond the forms, of course. gutteral would be great if people didn't always use it basically to describe any language they don't understand (as Ryan pointed out :). one of the only times i wanted to smack conan while watching late night was when he kept saying over and over that chinese seemed like a "very gutteral" language. in response lucy liu was like, "hey, 'i love you' in chinese is 'wo ai ni'" to show him up or something. ...
also: love words like 'bed' and 'spoon' and 'bowl' still, for the way some or all of the letters form tiny visual reminders of the meaning. i know i know, language no longer icon etc. but still! bed!!!! the headboard and footboard. the tucked over sheet of the e. mm. the roundness of spoons (some bent uri gellar style) and bowls. mm. ...

there's something i'm definitely forgetting to say.
