absolution and join orkut, if you please. there are complaints cropping up already, but it's still pretty cool relative to the others.

Listens: everybody's keeping me at a distance because i seem to be catatonic today.

everybody who knows raoul or doesn't even: if you haven't done so already, go listen to post meltdown friend, the album he made with some of his equally-amazing friends (like miss aarti and anna). he made it quite a while ago, and i'm dreadfully late in the game to be heeding everyone cool's accolades for it. it's great.

m (02:07:14 PM): i'm amazed
m (02:07:19 PM): at how good raoul's cd is.
m (02:07:23 PM): i had no fucking clue.
j (02:07:57 PM): ooho.
m (02:07:58 PM): yeah. it's so. wow.
m (02:08:46 PM): it's been a while.
m (02:09:04 PM): i don't know if you'll like it, cause it's shoegazy atmospheric
m (02:09:07 PM): but it rules.
m (02:09:20 PM): like. i downloaded it, and it was in my new playlist, with a zillion other things
m (02:09:30 PM): and it was on shuffle and many times i've had music on in the background
m (02:09:42 PM): and it comes on and i stop what i'm doing and i'm like, woah, who's this?
m (02:09:44 PM): and yeah :)
m (02:10:02 PM): julia kept telling everyone how good it is.
m (02:10:52 PM): she bought it from raoul way long ago, swapped for a sonic youth cd, and she kept posting about it.
m (02:10:53 PM): and yum.

(days later)

m (11:57:15 PM): and yeah, every day i can't quite get over raoul.
m (11:57:27 PM): making a full length, honest to god just GOOD record. wow. :D
j (11:57:33 PM): :)
m (11:57:37 PM): so few people can do that, in actuality. it's so. :D

i'm lame and it's only because raoul's decided to be kind--he has the entire album up on his website--that suddenly i've finally heard it. i need to be more with it in the future, gah.

if you only pick one, "beauty variables" is perhaps my favorite. but the whole thing is worth it, by miles.
