oh, one part was going to be about how i used to be one of those grammar mavens or whatever, but that's something else ling classes changed. now i smirk at grammar police, if they treat cases as if there is a fundamental. it's one thing to be all academie francaise on someone's ass if you know it's because you like pretty forms to yourself or you know it's a construct you happen to love and is a structure manmade and found sweet. but it's another if you think there's actually some higher-power-ordained piece, really! ha.
