my professor today: "in english, we HAVE to put a pronoun marker, even if the subject is a sort of weird existential thing...like "_there_ are many cars across the street..."

also: i like how, when i played that philosophy battleground game that's been goin' around, i wound up with the estimation that my views are (in at least two counts) "bizarre...strange, incredible, or unpalatable" but logically consistent throughout the questioning. sounds fitting...
