enjoying a pink skyline, sore muscles, and french recitations that are nonsensical willynilly but i still find beautiful. when you study linguistics one of the first things they tell you is that languages have no inherent aesthetic values (in comparative, relative terms), and that it's popular views of the speakers that are transposed onto the language itself. but oh. as someone who still loves meter and rhythm etc. and i know. but i can't help it. so beautiful.
