i forgot to mention (to myself, here) that i maybe ought to write a little letter to oxford press about making a pocket dictionary for korean. they make excellent excellent ones, as justin and i discovered when my sister gave him a chinese one for the holidays. and i mean, they make so many--there's one for gaelic, even!--why not for korean? there isn't a single decent k-e and e-k dictionary made by any publisher outside of korea. i even asked a bunch of veteran korean fans in my class, and the grad-school linguist.
those oxford pocket dictionaries are sweet. yes, i am fixating.
