along with all the other unexpected positive side effects from weight lifting with a barbell i'm noticing i walk differently now and i like it: heel to toe, kind of the stereotypical dancer's gait. it gives the sensation of feeling long legged and sleek, which if you know me is a hilarious thought.

it seems to have something to do with the added muscle in my hamstrings and midsection, like the knee and thigh rises more naturally, easily with each step. arms move differently, more in conjunction with the walk now too, instead of just dragging along.

it amuses me something like lifting proper big "man weights" can make me walk like more of a lady, ha.

my balance is of course getting better too (that's to be expected--your body has to learn strong balance, otherwise you'd fall over while holding and moving all the extra weight). that said, i still have dreadful posture especially while seated. urgh.
