Cocktail of the day, to celebrate finding a $1 muddler and $1 Collins glasses at Lit Jr.:

Bitter Amor

When placed in a proper slender Collins glass this is a beautiful, very refreshing drink.

1 oz cachaca
1 oz Aperol
1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
1 to 2 lemons, quartered with peels intact, or to taste
1 Tablespoon sugar, or to taste
1 splash club soda

In a shaker muddle lemons with sugar. Add cachaca, Aperol, and grapefruit juice, shake vigorously with ice and strain into a tall ice-filled rocks glass. Top with club soda.
