snot don't fail me now

so i'm prepping cowboy mashed potatoes for dinner tonight, right, which involves slicing chiles. even though i washed my hands as i always do i still wound up making a big mistake--i've got an annoying little seasonal cold right now so my nose is all scabby-gross anyway from blowing it so often, and i went to blow it again and must've gotten trace chile residue UP IN MY NASAL PASSAGES so for the past 30 minutes or so it's felt like my nose is going to burn right off along with my eyes. ugggg! thenn i tried to make it better by, ahem, applying fresh aloe vera to it and now i'm this slimy miserable comical mess. i'm in enough agony i seriously contemplated snorting milk or something in a desperate gross attempt to make the pain go away.
