  <description>&lt;small&gt;[video turns on, but the screen&apos;s back and blurry and the only sound that can be heard is something that sounds oddly like the purring of a cat.  After a moment the culprit is found when it lifts its nose from the screen to stare down at the video feed&amp;mdash;surprise! It&apos;s Dalamar, or for those of you who don&apos;t know Dalamar, a fluffy cheetah-esque cat&amp;mdash;curiously. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It&apos;s familiar, Dalamar is sure (the last one he had got smashed into tiny little pieces). But, he still goes to paw pathetically at it as if he has no idea what it is and it&apos;ll make a difference, somehow. Paw paw paaaaaw and theeenn smacks his head on it futilely. Maybe he&apos;s trying to break it. Or get it to do something. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;...Or just hurt himself in the process of touching things he shouldn&apos;t.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There&apos;s a small whine, and the animal sits back pathetically, a little &apos;mew&apos; (wtfwtf) escaping and just &lt;i&gt;sits there&lt;/i&gt;. SOMEONE COME BABYSIT PLZ. ALL ALONE &lt;s&gt;BECAUSE HE RAN OFF TO POUT??&lt;/s&gt; :( &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh, but, your characters will find it oddly coincidental that after this video feed, &lt;b&gt;the filter/private function will start working 100% properly again&lt;/b&gt;.   <description>...&lt;i&gt;Well&lt;/i&gt;, in light of recent events, I do believe we&apos;ve been going about this entirely the wrong way.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This hasn&apos;t ever happened before, but there&apos;s a first time for everything. &lt;small&gt;[he laughs, although his tone gets strained and irritated as he mutters more to himself than to microphone.]&lt;/small&gt; &lt;small&gt;Ohhh, how I do hate being wrong, though...&lt;/small&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;small&gt;[A pause. And then he&apos;s back to being mostly chipper.]&lt;/small&gt; &amp;mdash;We got off on the wrong foot. Do allow me to offer my sincerest apologies for any trouble we&apos;ve caused you. It seems you are more than capable of causing it for yourselves.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, in good spirits, I suppose a being such as myself has little to offer other than information. I&apos;m sure you&apos;ve had your stomachs full with the Magisters, but just in case: one question; one answer. Ask wisely, ask well.   <description>Well, now. Quite a close call. An infestation has never been good for business and you&apos;re all somewhat easy to confuse for vermin. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let&apos;s not go sneaking around where we don&apos;t belong, anymore, hm?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;small&gt;[ooc: *throws you all &lt;a href=&quot;http://community.livejournal.com/absolute_logs/67559.html&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;out of the casino.&lt;/a&gt;* Even if you haven&apos;t posted in the log and had wanted to, this may affect your character if you chose. Basically if your character was sneaking around in there, consider themselves having experienced a rather unpleasant situation involving water and/or ice that dazes them just enough to have them suddenly find themselves on the ground somewhere in the city of your choosing. They&apos;re probably wet, freezing, etc. although you can have no physical evidence of their experience present. Some characters may be aware of this guy as he did show up on the top floor of the casino, but otherwise, if you were on the bottom floor you met another man who didn&apos;t say anything nor do anything other than approach before your characters were uhh, &quot;attacked&quot;. Feel free to keep going with the log, though. C: But, needed to get everyone out of there so they could feel okay with posting again and we could continue for those invested (although if your characters aren&apos;t paying attention/new/whatnot, feel free to carry about your business!  consider this having happened whenever it was most convenient for you since I don&apos;t want to mess with anyone&apos;s stuff if people just assumed the characters left so they could do other things.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;NPC characters are very well aware of who he is regardless of his appearance. While they may all not appear to be particularly useful or threatening, they are indeed more than capable of providing you with suitable protection if the need arises.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They do have a second form, an attack form.  However, until your life becomes threatened, it is improbable that it will mutate.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Please do not try to harm them, as they will incapacitate you for both their safety and your own.  X-S class childs become more loyal and more powerful with a well developed connection their host, however they will protect you, regardless, as they are dependent on your existence to maintain their physical forms. It is unwise, likewise, to have them die in combat protecting you. You are bound to them as they are to you, and therefore they are now a part of your existence. If they perish in battle, you risk being critically or even fatally wounded as a result.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If the technicalities are difficult to understand, Grand Master Dai and Grand Mistress Ava have described them quite accurately. Although, I cannot speak on the Grand Master&apos;s opinion of their physical presentation.   <description>&lt;small&gt;[there&apos;s the sound of a transmission clicking on and the fizzle of static like an attempted video feed went to go on and failed, only the odd sound of scraping and odd &apos;crunching&apos; being heard. After a few seconds though there will be a small flash of light when something moves and it&apos;ll be able to be seen that the video feed didn&apos;t die but rather, the camera was in something&apos;s mouth and is now being dropped out of it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A snout and whiskers press against the screen, curiously and then with a small bang of the head like the animal is trying to get it to do something.  Finally Dalamar is fully visible as he lifts his up and pulls away, looking disinterested in his new toy and coming to sit, looking away as if he&apos;s giving it the cold shoulder. Oh yes, he will show it who is boss, along with a slightly irritated &apos;mya&apos;. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But this harsh lesson teaching will have to wait, because there&apos;s a sharp whistle, probably Caim, and Dalamar turns and runs off, leaving the communicator there, the video feed still running. Pointless video feed now, really&amp;mdash;not that the cat chewing on it before was meaningful&amp;mdash;only recording eerie gray stone matted with grit and other things that aren&apos;t quite possible to make out but probably don&apos;t want to be known and dark skies. But, then there&apos;s the small &apos;thud&apos;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And it grows louder, like something is approaching. That something, or something on it, rattles, like the tail of a rattlesnake before the last thing that can be seen on the communicator is some sharp skeletal bone colliding down towards the camera; crushing into it and breaking the transmission all together.]&lt;/small&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;small&gt;&lt;s&gt;[ooc: new enemy to terrorize you all. /o/]&lt;/s&gt;&lt;/small&gt;</description>

  <description>[&lt;small&gt;It actually sounds like it has the slightest trace of being somewhere between annoyed and upset.&lt;/small&gt;]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I said fight them better.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Be careful. You&apos;ll be next.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;---&lt;br /&gt;&lt;center&gt;&lt;b&gt;Side-Quest&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/center&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-----&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Move quick.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;[&lt;small&gt;With the door open, the team can progress further into the dam&apos;s interior. Clear sailing for the crew, it seems, as it opens to another staircase, that will lead into a catwalk. Following the catwalk will take them into a rather large room, although that&apos;s only what they can guess from the brief flashes of emergency red lights that allow lighting off their pathway.  The other lighting is poor, but it is enough to see the walkway a little bit infront.   The catwalk is a maze of twists and turns, but thankfully seems to only allow the travelers to go one way and one way only.  Not only that, but the seven of them will have their communicators pull the dam map up, and zoom in, focusing on the room they are in. It highlights the exact path via skeletal modeling as well as their positions for easier travel.  At the end of the map is their next immediate destination, which seems to be a bridge of some sort judging from its computerized structuring.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It&apos;d do good for the characters to listen to their surroundings, however, whether they are talking to each other or not.  Because once they are about halfway along, in addition to their footsteps clanking along the catwalk, there is a sound, like something heavy weighing down on various pieces of metal from below.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They should hopefully take notice, because each time that sound is heard it gets louder and more distinct. Something is most likely in there that shouldn&apos;t be.&lt;/small&gt;]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;[&lt;b&gt;ooc:&lt;/b&gt; Due to time constraints, here&apos;s the rest of it. Feel free to push right on through if I&apos;m not around to cue it.]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;[&lt;small&gt;They should probably ask the native what that noise is, especially when it gets silent. But as soon as they do, something is going to smash into the bottom of the catwalk. The catwalk will not break, but it will be more than enough to severely jar it and knock the characters around should they not grab onto the railing (we&apos;ll spare any possibilities of falling off the catwalk completely, however).  The red lighting will give them more than enough of a view when they flash to see that what just banged into the bottom of the catwalk is a rather &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.residentevilfan.ws/largeimages/gallery/remake_snake1_lg.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;large and angry snake&lt;/a&gt;. While they&apos;ll only be able to see some of its head, the fangs that are sticking up through the grating should be more than enough to hint this creature is quite a bit bigger than they are. The snake yanks its head back, but is not quite able to leave its spot, as its fangs were a little too big to go through those floor holes without force.  It&apos;ll yank again, and continue to yank until is free, taking a piece of the catwalk with it if it has to. &quot;Ahhh,&quot; the native sounds a little surprised, and their communicators will now get a new marker that is the representation of the snake. &quot;Not good. Shouldn&apos;t be in there. Run.&quot; Better run fast.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The snake will get free and pursue, but the team will be lucky enough to avoid any further problems with it other than it scaring them quite a scare as long as they keep moving. It&apos;ll continuously be too little, too late, with its attempts to snap at them from beneath and catch them or in its attempts to simply downright smash its head into the catwalk to break it or send them flying off.  The characters will finally be able to exit the catwalk and run through a door&amp;mdash;make sure someone hits the switch to open and then close it again so the snake doesn&apos;t follow&amp;mdash;and will be faced with a new obstacle. That bridge that was supposed to be there according to the map? It&apos;s not.  The other end is viewable from the platform the seven are on, but there&apos;s no way across. There are only two identical switches on a platform directly in the middle of the one they are current on and the other. The lights on them are red. Perhaps they control the bridge.&lt;/small&gt;]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;ooc:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Objective:&lt;/b&gt; Activate the switches. The switches are long distance and it&apos;s not possible to jump or get to their position in any way until the bridge is actually drawn.&lt;a name=&apos;cutid1-end&apos;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;</description>

  <description>Since you will help! [&lt;small&gt;While this information pertains selectively to the seven, all communicators will automatically download a new file.  The file will open, displaying a map of the dam, and marker points. There are seven clustered on the dam bridge, and somewhere far down in probably what is the center is a flashing light.&lt;/small&gt;]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hmmm... Difficult to explain like this. So sorry.  &apos;Friends&apos; need to get to the marker. The generator room.  Two things. Generators are off long time now.  Need to turn back on.  But demons live here. Protect it. Turned generators off even before flood. So maybe they will not work.... but... no choice. Only hope.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also. There is a shield and a book. I need them. Bring them out. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I will help from here. I can&apos;t enter. Barrier. But foreign bodies? Demons don&apos;t recognize. Barrier will fail.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Okay? Entrance is that way.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;[&lt;small&gt;For the members with the native, they will see it point over to a roof entrance. There is no door, just an open pathway leading down inside.  Once they decide to enter, they will travel down a rather dark and long staircase. It&apos;s barely lit, and the light source is undetermined. At the bottom of the stairs, there is a thin film of some type of raw energy barrier. Anyone who decides to touch it will see they can go through unharmed, just as the native claimed. They will enter the first chamber, a tunnel that expands out into a large open room. Directly across is a door, but it&apos;s clearly blocked by some unknown force. The force is invisible, but trying to go near the door will just push the approacher back.&lt;/small&gt;]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A switch? [&lt;small&gt;The switch mentioned is not too far off to the left of the door, but upon examination, it will be clear the members that it&apos;s missing something, and needs something to go in a slot.&lt;/small&gt;]  Needs heat.  But, careful. Demons sleep up. Loud noises wake. Be prepared.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Questions?&lt;a name=&apos;cutid1-end&apos;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Objective:&lt;/b&gt; Activate the switch. The room is large and sparse, and the ceiling is obstructed by darkness.  There ARE sleeping demons up there, any loud noises will wake them and they will come bother the characters.  However, they should be easily defeated by the characters, should noise be needed in order to create the fire needed to activate the switch.  The open slot has a base that is pooled with oil, all that&apos;s needed is something to ignite it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;//&lt;i&gt;Okay I lied about the Hoover Dam thing, it just looks like it outside. /fail at map finding.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;---&lt;br /&gt;---&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rest of you. A sharp, quick pain, enough to daze each of you, but not to knock you out. When your character comes to, there is no evidence any of this ever happened. There is no fire. There is no WEAPON. This is no trace of either. In fact, there is absolutely no destruction.  The library stands as it did before the explosion.&lt;/i&gt;]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;font size=&quot;1&quot;&gt;[[ooc: I realize some of you just missed this flash of an event.
